"That's gangster right there," rapper says of occurrence that forces delegates to keep voting if no clear candidate is winning

2 Chainz explained "brokered conventions" in the latest installment of "2 Chainz Explainz" on 'The Nightly Show'

2 Chainz returned to The Nightly Show With Larry Wilmore for another installment of his segment "2 Chainz Explainz." In an effort to help the show's host make sense of "the circus that is the Republican nomination for president," the rapper helped define the term "brokered convention."

As the rapper explains, a brokered convention occurs when none of the Republican candidates have enough delegates to secure the nomination. "They release all the delegates and make you vote again," he continues. "They don't care who you voted for the first time around. That's gangster right there."

According to the "Watch Out" rapper, the situation can be a "hot mess" if the delegates are forced to vote again and reveals that in 1924, delegates had to vote 103 times for the Democratic nominee. "Ain't nobody got time for that," he declared. "You know me, I got a thug life, one wife, a mistress and a girlfriend."
