Love Springs Eternally Weird in 'Portlandia' Season Six Trailer

Fred Armisen, Carrie Brownstein tackle nude portraiture, sheer off man-buns, cavort with Glenn Danzig

Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein showed that love springs eternally weird in 'Portlandia' in the wild new Season Six trailer.

Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen return to the weird, wonderful world of Portlandia in a hilarious, feelings-fraught trailer for the show's upcoming sixth season.

The clip features a slew of stolen glances, longing stares and passionate embraces between an array of characters both old and new, including a profound moment between a sensitive musician played by Armisen and guest star Zoë Kravitz. Other experiences, however, are less cinematically sensual, such as when Candace — Armisen's feminist bookstore owner — disrobes in front of Brownstein for some tasteful nude portraiture.

Other highlights from the trailer include the always dour goths terrorizing a receptionist, a rogue drone chopping off a man-bun and Glenn Danzig raising a toast with a glass of red wine.

Along with Danzig and Kravitz, Portlandia's sixth season will boast guest appearances from Louis C.K., Wayne Coyne and the Flaming Lips, Jillian Bell (Workaholics), Gregory Gourdet (Top Chef), Moshe Kasher (Another Period), John Levenstein (Kroll Show), NPR's Kai Ryssdal, Robert Smigel (Saturday Night Live) and Bitsie Tulloch.

Season Six of Portlandia premiers January 21st on IFC at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
