Watch James Corden Parody Kanye West, Taylor Swift's 'Famous' Phone Call

'Late Late Show' host seeks advice from Yeezy on Mike Pence joke, fields ridiculous questions from Reggie Watts

James Corden ended up on the wrong end of a recorded Kanye West conversation in a parody of the rapper's taped phone call with Taylor Swift.

Before Kim Kardashian could leak it on Snapchat, James Corden unveiled his own "taped phone call" with Kanye West in a parody of the rapper's now-infamous "Famous" conversation with Taylor Swift on The Late Late Show.

The bit featured clips of West from the actual video Kardashian posted Sunday and similarly filmed footage of Corden at his desk. Cordon also asked Yeezy's advice about whether he should make a joke about Donald Trump's running mate, Mike Pence, and risk losing the chance to book him. "Relationships," West reminded Corden, "are more important than punchlines, you know?"

In a ridiculous non-sequitur, Late Late Show bandleader Reggie Watts then jumped on the line to ask Corden a very important question about nuts — "You've got these other nuts these days like macadamias, pistachios, almonds, chestnuts, deez nuts, coconuts" — while West waited patiently on the other end.

As the rapper and host ended their conversation, Corden asked if he was being recorded. "Thanks for being so cool about it," West replied, leaving Corden flustered as he slammed the phone back on the receiver with a disgruntled: "Yeezus."
