Disclosure served as musical guest for the Elizabeth Banks-hosted episode of Saturday Night Live, which allowed Guy and Howard Lawrence an opportunity to dip into their Caracal material alongside a pair of artists that appear on the duo's new LP: Sam Smith and Lorde. Smith and Disclosure teamed for "Omen" – the follow-up collaboration to their joint star-making single "Latch" – with Smith and the Lawrence brothers backed by a quartet of backup singers and two tables full of musical equipment.
For Disclosure's second musical guest spot, the duo unleashed "Magnets," with Lorde singing her Caracal feature live for the first time. The drumline-enhanced performance also featured a brief tribute to Paris, as before Disclosure delved into "Magnets," the stage was lit up in the "bleu, blanc et rouge" of the French flag. Earlier in the episode, Saturday Night Live stood in solidarity with those in Paris by replacing the cold open with a solemn tribute to "the city of light."
Saturday Night Live returns next week with host Matthew McConaughy and musical guest Adele, who releases her much-anticipated new album 25 Friday.
