Caitlyn Jenner Is 'Free' in New 'I Am Cait' Trailer

Former Olympian shares encouragement, insecurities in touching clip for upcoming docu-series

Caitlyn Jenner tackles the tough and quotidian in the latest trailer for her upcoming E! series, I Am Cait, which chronicles the former Olympian's life after her transition.

The 30-second spot opens with a touching moment between Jenner and her mother, who admits, "My first feeling was, I lost my son. But then I thought, you know what — I'm gaining." Jenner subsequently addresses and encourages a group of young kids, vivaciously knifes the cork off a bottle of champagne and embraces her daughter, Kylie.

But amidst all the outpouring of support, the clip finds Jenner still grappling with everyday insecurities like being a good parent and the difficulties of beginning a new, open, honest life after years harboring such a personal secret. Still, the video ends on a charming note, with Caitlyn asking her daughter's opinion on a dress, to which she responds, "Mom has that."

I Am Cait premieres July 26th on E!, and will feature eight one-hour episodes. In a previous promotional clip, Jenner said the show will allow her to tell her story, adding, "People don't understand looking into the mirror and nothing seems right, putting on clothes that you just really don't identify with. This is about getting to be who you really are."

Jenner came out as a transgender woman during an April interview with Diane Sawyer, and later appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair's July issue. Jenner's transition has been one of the most public as the fight for trans rights has gained momentum and greater recognition over the past several years.

Jenner, who won the 1976 Olympic Gold Medal in the decathlon, will receive the Arthur Ashe Courage Award on July 15th at this year's ESPY Awards.
