Chester Bennington's Widow Breaks Her Silence

School Days & Parisian Nightsuits: Every 'Freaks and Geeks' Episode, Ranked

In honor of the gone-too-soon show's 15th anniversary, we rank every episode of this cult TV classic, from good to great

14. 'Carded and Discarded'

Air Date: January 10, 2000
Freaks and Geeks has a history of fun cameos, and this episode has an onslaught of them: Look for brief appearances by Jason Schwartzman, Kevin Corrigan, Trace Beaulieu, Joel Hodgson, and David Koechner, half of them half-assedly assisting the Freaks with scoring some fake IDs. The idea is to see a band, Feedback, play at a local bar — which would have worked for them if they hadn't been spotted by Mr. Rosso, who happens to be the band's lead singer. But the real story here is Maureen, a gorgeous new exchange student who, unaware of McKinley's social hierarchy, ends up hanging out with the Geeks, giving each of the boys an inkling as to what life could be like with a girlfriend. (And prompts serious discussions about the role gas plays in a relationship.) Then the beautiful people notice Maureen, too, and they start swarming. So the guys decide to show her the greatest night of her life with an evening of all-you-can-eat ribs.
Best Line: "You have to sleep with your wife every night of your life. If you couldn't blast one in bed, you'd get physically ill."
