For too long, man has stood in the tee box, surveyed the fairway and wondered, "What would happen if I drove this ball into an ax blade?"
Now, thanks to the preternaturally perky YouTubers known as How Ridiculous, we finally have an answer. In their latest sports stunt, they're teeing off directly at a stationary – and sharpened – ax blade, and the end result gives a new meaning to the term "slice."
As you can probably guess, the golf ball doesn't survive. Instead, it gets split in half, though that's only in a direct hit. In one attempt – it's not really clear how many shots they took – the ball strikes the ax handle and is sent rocketing right at a dude named Scott, who uses his Australian agility to avoid getting killed.
Undeterred, Scott and the rest of the Ridiculous crew close their video by asking viewers to suggest other things they should split with their ax (current ideas include a bowling ball, a hockey puck and "my ass.") Either way, we hope they wear some protective headgear – though, now that we think of it, that samurai who sliced a 100-mph fastball in half did it with little more than his sword and a steady hand.
Your move, dudes.
