Somehow, the Los Angeles Lakers' historically awful season just got even worse.
As the franchise prepares to say goodbye to one of its defining stars, Kobe Bryant, its locker room is apparently in disarray, thanks to rookie point guard D'Angelo Russell. According to ESPN, Russell's teammates have turned on him after a video he shot of fellow Laker Nick "Swaggy P" Young – who is currently engaged to Iggy Azalea – talking about his infidelities was leaked. It's not entirely clear how the video found its way to the Internet, but it definitely seems like Young was unaware he was being recorded while discussing various women, including Amber Rose.
"It's bad," a team source said. "It's about as bad as it can get. There were trust issues already. Now there's no trust."
This comes nearly two months after Lakers head coach Byron Scott told the media that Russell sometimes acts like a 14-year-old – not a great look for someone who is supposed to be the future of the franchise – and two days after the team was walloped by 48 points in a loss to the Utah Jazz. Russell's teammates won't even sit with him at breakfast anymore, and Lou Williams reportedly got up and left when Russell tried to sit next to him in the locker room.
With Russell and Young being the talk of the town on social media Tuesday, it didn't take long for Azalea to catch wind of the video, and she responded by thanking Russell for his "film."
hmmm i see D Angelo Russell is trending... I actually liked his film. Thanks bro.— IGGY AZALEA (@IGGYAZALEA) March 30, 2016
Whoo boy. At this point, we're willing to bet even Kobe can't wait for this season to end.
