Shortly after the Raconteurs‘ Consolers of the Lonely stormed into stores after only a week’s notice, Jack White talked to Rolling Stone’s Brian Hiatt about the new idiom for the record business where the old rules no longer apply. To read the complete report, click here.

Looks like the rumors making their way around the Internet earlier today were true: The Raconteurs have confirmed they will release their second album next Tuesday, March 25th. The record, titled Consolers of the Lonely, will contain fourteen new tracks and be available in three formats: vinyl, CD and digital (with fans also having the option to buy a 320kb version of Consolers from the band’s official site). “We wanted to get this record to fans, the press, radio, etc., all at the EXACT SAME TIME so that no one has an upper hand on anyone else regarding its availability, reception or perception,” the band said in a statement.
