Sesame Street, the greatest kids’ show of all time, celebrates its 40th birthday today. While you may think you’re too old to sweep the clouds away with Big Bird and the gang, you can definitely still appreciate the slew of incredible musical guests the show hosted over the years. definitely one of my favorites. wow.. let’s see. another one is los lobos sesame street version of there song elmo and the lavender moon. there’s also john denver singing sunshine on my shoulders withe the muppets listening on. ray charles singing with kermit the frog it aint easy being green.
oh, another 1 i loved was the muppets singing & dancing to a spanish beat with the grand lady of latin music mrs. celia cruz, as well as maya angealou singing my name is maya.

thank you sesame street for not
only teaching me and mines how to count, but how to be a better person opened to new and different possiblities you also taught us not only to be compassionate and patience for those less able than us, but to respect the ones who came before us and those who come after us. you gave dignity to the disable and girls a voice and a belief that they were equal in all things with boys.
THANK YOU MR. JIM HENSON FOR YOUR VISION AND ABOLUTE BELIEF THAT ALL CHILDREN ARE CAPABlE OF LEARNING AND MAKING DECISION FOR THEMSELVES.
