Muse Debut “Undisclosed Desires” as “New Moon” Invades MySpace

11/3/09, 12:30 pm EST

Muse debuted their new video for “Undisclosed Desires” on MySpace today as part of New Moon’s musical invasion of the site. Interestingly, though, “Undisclosed Desires” is not the Muse song that appears on the movie’s soundtrack — that’s “I Belong to You (New Moon Remix)” — and you won’t get a glimpse of Robert Pattinson or Kristen Stewart in the clip. What you do get, though, is Matt Bellamy and Co. belting out their INXS-esque track from The Resistance and a whole lot of tangled instrument cables.

Epic band, groovy song, LAME-AS-FUCK video. Come on guys, surely you could have came up with something a little more original and a little less pretentious. Some wires and a woman doing a jerky dance….wow, im amazed.

Agree 100% with Egyptian Cowboy, I love Muse and this video sucks ASS. I know these guys aren’t exactly a music video type of band, and I certainly wasn’t expecting them to make anything to top Thriller, but come on, they could’ve done a much better job. Time Is Running Out, Knights of Cydonia, Supermassive Black Hole and Invincible were all much better and concrete videos than the mess that is Undisclosed Desires. And the song itself is very good, but I wouldn’t choose it as a second single following Uprising. Unnatural Selection, I Belong To You (NOT the New Moon remix, the original version) or even Guiding Light would’ve been nicer choices as follow-up singles, to show people this side of the Atlantic that they’re not just a band that makes catchy songs. But who knows, the Timbaland feel of this track might actually open up Muse to a much bigger fanbase then expected, it might probably get played on R&B/hip-hop stations, much like how Another One Bites The Dust opened up Queen to the R&B/funk crowd.

Oh yeah, and it would be nice for RS, along with every other American entertainment publication to stop mentioning Twilight every time you post a story about Muse when the news has NOTHING to do with Twilight. Yeah, we know this song isn’t on the New Moon soundtrack, no need to reiterate that fact.
