Anytime a band prefaces a blog post with “We Are Not Breaking Up,” fans immediately become concerned. However, the post bearing that title on the Jonas Brothers’ MySpace page carried only good news for fans of the power-pop trio: Nick Jonas will release a new album with his side project the Administration in early 2010. According to Nick, the album was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, during a two-week span during which brother Kevin spent time with his fiancĂ© and Joe went on vacation to Australia.

See bonus photos from the band’s recent Rolling Stone cover shoot.

Nick Jonas & the Administration are comprised of four musicians the Jonas Brothers had met and worked with before, Nick writes, describing the sound as ” ‘heart & soul,’ because the music that I make is from my heart, and the lyrics I write are from my soul.”

In 2004, “Nicholas Jonas,” as he was called then, also released a solo album before the Brothers were signed as a trio. When Rolling Stone hit the road with the group in the weeks leading up to their second RS cover story, we found that Nick had grown into his role of creative lead for the trio, to the point where his older siblings were calling him “Mr. President.”

A day in the life of the Jonas Brothers: exclusive photos.

The Jonas Brothers are currently in the midst of a world tour that will wrap up November 26th in Paris. “We’ve said from the beginning of our career as the Jonas Brothers that anything we do outside of the group is a side project because you can’t break up brothers,” said Nick, who obviously never heard of Oasis or the Kinks. “My brothers are my biggest supporters, and were on the phone with me every day while I was in the studio asking how it was going, and telling me they couldn’t wait to hear the record.”

Nick, Nick, Nick!

I’ll give it a listen. The kid’s more talented than people will give him credit for.

Robin Smith | 10/28/2009, 10:24 am EST

Kudos Nick, Loyal Fans will support you always and in all ways.
The album will be sensational i’m sure of it.

Marie | 10/28/2009, 11:11 am EST

Break up, stay together, make money while you can. Once the girls get older it won’t matter so do it quick.

LADY6280 | 10/28/2009, 11:33 am EST

Go for it! Remember it does not last forever! Enjoy it and let it take you

Jessica-online | 10/28/2009, 11:49 am EST

La ringrazio per Blog intiresny

JustAFan | 10/28/2009, 12:11 pm EST

Should be interesting, I wonder if it’ll be spiritual. I would put money on yes, because the people he worked with are a Christian band. That’d surprise some people.

Joe remains my favorite, as a great live performer, but I’ll always give Nick a supporting try.

JustAFan | 10/28/2009, 12:12 pm EST

And the text is wrong here…Kev’s not married yet.

jaz | 10/28/2009, 1:21 pm EST

they have changed alot since i have last seen them

selena | 10/28/2009, 1:57 pm EST

That’s not why they call him president either, it’s bc he’s going to run for office. 2040 baby!

anonymous | 10/28/2009, 3:53 pm EST

HA HA HA HA HA, heart & soul really!!!!!! man soul is something even his studio magicians can not artificially put into the mix. Good luck to him but I don’t hear the soul power. He sees all those little girls growing up and he knows that his music career is pretty much done. That is just my opinion anyway.

go the jonas bro's | 10/28/2009, 4:18 pm EST

The Jonas Brother are hotties! <3

musicfan | 10/28/2009, 4:21 pm EST

Nick Jonas is so talented. He is wise beyond his 17 years. I can’t wait to hear his album!

crouton | 10/28/2009, 5:54 pm EST

The headline should read “Nick Jonas Curses Us With Side Project LP That Is Certain To Suck Almost As Much As The Jonas Brothers”.

Anonymous | 10/28/2009, 6:15 pm EST

Crouton is right. What is wrong with the rest of you?

titanhermant | 10/28/2009, 8:36 pm EST

aww man i was hoping they would break up :( there is no talent there, just whiny vocals and crappy guitar. its embaressing to see them doing better than some of the greats. once those girls grow up though, they wont have anyone to sell their bs too

go nick | 10/28/2009, 9:00 pm EST

wow way to go can’t wait till its out i will def buy it :D . jobros rule!

LOVENICK | 10/28/2009, 10:51 pm EST

I will keep supporting Nick and will buy his album. He is so talented and I’m excited for the album to be released!!

TeddyB | 10/29/2009, 9:05 am EST

Christ, now we’ll get daily updates on this until the record comes out.

Anonymous | 10/29/2009, 3:19 pm EST

Were Oasis and the Kinks just mentioned in the same article as the Jonas Brothers? RS is pathetic. Why do you cover this bumblegum trash? If you really want to appeal to these moronic 10 year old girls then just go all out and forget any pretense of being a decent rock magazine.

Ghost Writer | 10/29/2009, 4:09 pm EST

OK, I don’t really like the Jonas Brothers, and don’t listen to them, but it is kind of cool that Nick is doing a side project. I probably won’t listen to it, but, whatever, I’m not going to hate. Kudos to him for trying to grow musically.
@Anonymous: I think you’re overreacting. So what? They mentioned the Kinks and Oasis in the same article as the JoBros. That doesn’t mean they’re any less iconic than they were before.

Ben | 10/29/2009, 7:17 pm EST

Lolzors. He sucks

Good, but the same. | 10/30/2009, 12:27 am EST

It’s good someone’s finally stepping out of the band but still, I find it hard to believe it’ll be something too different from what we’ve heard coming from him and his bros.

NISHA | 10/30/2009, 5:45 am EST

I LOVE U VERY…………………….. ………………………MUC H NICK. I AM SERIOUS

Jack | 10/30/2009, 10:53 am EST

I hope the side project includes seclusion away from recording and video devices so 99.9% of America who don’t enjoy this Disney crap can avoid hearing about it over and over and over again.

Howie Feltersnatch | 10/30/2009, 10:59 am EST

Rollingstone is now equal with teen beat. Care to stoop any lower? Maybe you can put a group of 6 year olds who play the maracas on the next cover?

WhyhelloThere | 10/31/2009, 12:06 pm EST

Although I hate to admit it, I look forward to hearing this album. Maybe there’s a chance it could actually be quality music. Just keep an open mind and don’t form an opinion before you give the record a chance. Just throwin’ it out there!

WhyhelloThere | 10/31/2009, 12:08 pm EST

Oh and by the way, every band Rolling Stone has covered has people who dislike them. If the Jonas Brothers didn’t deserve to be on the cover, they wouldn’t be. I don’t think RS wants to open up to an audience of 10 year old girls. Ya feel me? ha alright i’m done with the comment spree

phonopsis! | 10/31/2009, 1:28 pm EST

wow this is kinda suprising to me but i am happy! i love the jobros and don’t understand why people talking bad about them if they didn’t have any talent at all, i don’t think they would be this famous.
woot! go nick!!!

msallovesjonasbrothers | 11/1/2009, 12:13 am EST

Just because u don’t like them doesn’t mean they don’t have talent everyone has different taste in music. So if u don’t like them y are u reading articles about them. Nick is gonna do fine because he is good at what he does and he is an inspiration to a lot of people

nj wife | 11/1/2009, 1:43 pm EST

alexis gamblian 8 mo | 11/1/2009, 4:57 pm EST

I love you Nick.

Anonymous | 11/2/2009, 12:50 am EST

Leave him alone. Like or not Nick Jonas is a great talent of this generation.

The Jonas Brothers are genius– they have permanently engraved their names in pop history. Call it what you like– I call it pure genius.

Anonymous | 11/3/2009, 9:09 pm EST

I say if you don’t like them why bother leaving a comment on a article about them? In fact, why’d you even read the article? I give major props to Nick, he is 17 years old and look at everything he is accomplishing. He’s talented. And Rolling Stones can cover whoever they want. <3 God Bless

just me | 11/3/2009, 10:40 pm EST

Whoa!! Hollywood is changing so quikly!! I think I have a whiplash!I still remember when I saw a poster for their first album and thought…hmmm…they’re not going to get anywhere. They are most likley going down like the beatles.

@Anonymous…i barely hear tweens talk about the Jonas Brothers like all of my friends do…and we’re 17 to 19 years old, so i honestly think you should put a sock in it. like all of these people are trying to say…everyone has their own taste in music. the songs are catchy and upbeat. stop hating and take in all of the success they have brought. think of all the people they’ve made happy.
