Been waiting for this album, have it on pre-order, expect I’ll love the music — keep it on constant play — and Bowie, who did androgyny best, is my favorite performer; but I do not like this album cover.

Maybe if they’d decided to shoot it from the waist up, still shirtless, and without the pretentious hand on his face, it would have been cool. This is just a cheap glamor shot.

Probably one of the best Idol covers so far… all of them look so bland and boring. I’m glad they had courage to do something different, that’s what ADAM is.

At first it took me by surprise too, then I started liking it, the more I keep looking at it, the more I like it. Now I think I love it. I’m realizing that this is how it goes with Adam. You cannot judge anything Adam does by it’s cover, you cannot be to quick to judge! You have to be open minded, really think about what he is trying to convey through his artistry. Once you get it, you realize what a beautiful gorgeous artist he is.

I find it interesting that the longest comments are the negative ones. That’s another good sign that Adam Lambert is on his way to becoming a major star. People don’t comment one way or another on anything or anyone who is not interesting.

I love the cover, loved it the minute I saw it. It’s fresh and exciting and nothing like anything else out there right now. It stands out. His eyes are absolutely gorgeous and hypnotizing.

I can’t wait to hear the album; I know I will love everything on it. I love everything I have ever heard him sing. His voice blows me away every time. I have the utmost respect for him as a singer and an entertainer. He certainly entertains me, which makes the title totally appropriate as well.

It’s not about the background remember this is his Idol release and they are always bare bones with just the artist on the cover with some dopey background. What makes this exceptional is THE artist. Bold, true, and it doesn’t hurt that he’s gorgeous. Go look at all the previous Idols Kelly, Clay, Archie they were all dumb looking and you didn’t even recognize poor Kelly. Cook looked like a rubber mannequin from the shoppping. In fact Blake was freaking cross eyed (and it seems they recycled his background into Adam’s shot). But THIS ONE is a stunning photo and that’s what makes all the difference in the caliber of Idol freshman releases. Now we wait for the music hell YEAH!

It’s total, off the wall, “I don’t give a crap if this fails or not, I’m going for it” ballsy artistry and Adam must be laughing himself silly every time he thinks about the meeting in the record company boardroom where he showed them the artwork and all the execs looked nervously at each other. Can someone please set up a support group for tragic fans like me (and nb – I’m in Australia) who desperately want to order the ceiling-to-floor poster of this cover art so that they can get it framed in a glitterly purple and adjust their track lighting in their lounge room to suit so that after yet another cruddy day at work they can come home and spend hours staring at it, thinking of far more glamorous times and places that maybe can be theirs one day?

My first reaction was BWAA-HA-HA — seriously, it’s not edgy or controversial; it’s cheesy and I’m expecting a unicorn to fly and sprinkle him with sparkly dust. And did anyone else notice that his head and shoulders are somehow disembodied from the rest of his body. I’m embarrassed for him, truly.

Someone took the hunk out and put the huh? in this photo. I love his voice and pre-ordered the CD but this photo is a drag–uh-huh!

He is a really,really,really, good looking guy who is also smoking hot in all of his photo’s except this one.

But this photo can be substituted for others that are all over the web so, it’s no biggie. I am looking forward to hearing him sing which is what he is all about to me—the big VOICE!

Photo’s are not what I am buying anyway–I’m buying the talent and he has that in spades.

Looks like a knock-off of the Bill Kaulitz (Tokio Hotel) photoshop version. Doesn’t work for Adam. He doesn’t have the feminine characteristics like Kaulitz to carry off the androgynous look…. unless you like Amazon women. Adam is much too masculine.

I guess the record company spent the whole budget on producing/recording the album…

I have never bought a CD because of the cover—-has anybody? It’s what’s inside that counts. Adam likes to shake things up and that’s a good thing. So much music today is boring. I think his album will be great. Can’t wait to hear his single next week.
People who say they would be embarassed buying Adam’s album make me laugh. If it’s good, they’ll buy it.

Remember the Poison album with the 4 “hot chicks” on the cover? I can say, without hyperbole, that this is 1000x worse than that in every way, shape and form.

I’m a graphic design teacher and this is horrible on so many levels. If one of my students handed this in, it would be a big time FAIL.

It’s definitely interesting. That’s all I’ve got to say. But, as people said before, I don’t buy CD’s because of their covers. I buy them for the music. Still, I’m really interested in hearing this. Too much music today doesn’t take chhances at all.

Glam Rock is back. When I first heard the album title I thought Blah…the title didn’t sound like Adam. But the cover sure sounds like Adam. Full of surprises and originality. A true artist in a class by himself. I can’t wait for my album to arrive. Keep being creative and start working on the next album or movies. I can’t wait to see more.

Some of you just don’t get it, do you? This is supposed to look right out of the 80s. It’s Glam! It’s campy! It’s just fun! Haters are such boring people. They need to learn how to par-tay!!

I am a HUGE Adam fan, but when I first saw this cover I was absolutely shocked. Now, it kind of grew on me, and I’m starting to see things about it I didn’t at first. And this is EXACTLY the effect Adam wants to have on us. At first, he wants you to think “WTF is this??”. Then, he wants you to be so shocked, that you are hypnotized by it. Then, he wants you to analyze it until you finally see what he was aiming for. Adam really is an artist. And it’s kind of scary how he is able to have this kind of control and affect on us. No matter what he does, we are all in disbelief, but then, somehow we all happen to get over it and be more open-minded – That’s EXACTLY what Adam wants!

I love him , but WTF?? Its so horrible its funny. Adam, you are so attractive, why the hell do you want us to have this image of you imprinted on our brain?? Its a complete joke.

Adam always has a different look, so what? Thats why I love to follow his career. He is so much fun. When he decided to name his album’For Your Entertainment’, he knew exactly what he was doing. This is all for our entertainment. I had more people at work today ask me what I thought about this cover. So many people are still thinking “what will Adam do next?” Can you imagine how much fun we are going to have at his first solo concert! Adam is going to put on an amazing show! This man is an entertainer who really tries to please his fans. The only problem is is that you can’t please all the people all of the time. So Adam is only making millions and millions of people happy all over the world. How many people are we making happy by just sitting here bitching on our computers?

Glam is not drag. This is drag queen-esque.. But i guess if you are going to turn a gay man glammy, it’ll get draggy.

Well, as long as this is a tribute to Mr. David Bowie, rather than a pathetic attempt to imitate, then this is all cool with me. But I will say that Bowie did it much better, and that the cover of Aladdin Sane is much more glam and artistic than this.

Wow, this is terrible. You want to see real musicians, check out the Jo Bros. Those are real true men of rock n’ roll. They define rockstar. They’re even better than The Beatles, which is clearly a big deal. And you don’t see them dressing up like women.

Rather than David Bowie “Pin Ups” it is more like another unknown frm that time named “Jobriath” who was androgynous to adnoseum, but, it does fit in with british glam circa 1973 if that is what he was after. Not exactly Trace Adkins. I can’t se emyself buying that. It is a “Once Upon a Time” vibe. Still ,he can sing. Kind of like the kepyboard player in “The Wedding Singer” you can’t look away even if you want to.

I would give this a C- if it were handed in to me for an Album Cover Design project in my graphics art class. It’s ridiculous. I’ve seen freshmen high school kids to better work.
