  • Elusive Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke did a surprise DJ set on Tuesday night at Los Angeles’s Roosevelt Hotel, much to the delight of Tweeters, L.A. Weekly reports. If the tweets are to be believed, he spun Daft Punk and Major Lazer among other danceable treats.

  • Kanye West is leading the nominations for this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards with nine total, including People’s Champ, Producer of the Year, Lyricist of the Year and CD of the Year. No word on exactly how he’ll interrupt himself if he wins.
  • The BBC reports that Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine Jackson, will receive one million dollars a year to support herself and Michael’s three children. Meanwhile, Tito Jackson has revealed the details of a reality show featuring himself and brothers Jackie, Jermaine and Marlon. Originally intended as a documentary, A&E has agreed to expand The Jackson Dynasty into a series.
  • The Clash guitarist Mick Jones and drummer Nicky “Topper” Headon, have recorded together for the first time in almost 30 years, Reuters reports, for a new version of their 1978 song “Jail Guitar Doors” joined by political folkie Billy Bragg. The song is intended to help Bragg’s Jail Guitar Doors initiative, which supplies musical instruments to prisoners.

I am still mad at Kanye for ruining Michael Jackson’s tribute show. Instead of talking about Madonna’s great speech or Janet’s dancing, the media only talked about his appalling behavior. Madonna’s speech was awesome and everyone needed to hear it. MJ was the greatest entertainer the world will ever see. Kanye is a drop in the bucket.

Anne, I agree with you.

Kanye should apologized to MJ’s family.

Craig | 9/18/2009, 10:59 am EST

Kanye’s nominations should be revoked. He doesn’t deserve them.

Chante | 9/18/2009, 2:08 pm EST

They should ban Kanye from attending.

Say what you will about how douchey he is, but the guy’s a gifted artist. Seriously, listen to the song Gone or Diamonds From Sierra Leone (Remix) and you’ll understand that.

What I care much more about it this news about The Clash. I think I just ejaculated a tad.

Also, Madonna’s “great speech?” Haha! Uh, no. Heck no at all.

KW is a repeat stupidity offender. Unfortunately this tarnishes his art like it or not.

I believe he was sincere on Leno. Hopefully he will take some time off, reflect, modify his behavior and then make a huge return.

If he can’t do that I hope he just goes away.
