Nine Inch Nails have rescheduled the last two dates of their Wave Goodbye tour after an illness sidelined Trent Reznor last week. Reznor and NIN were supposed to perform their last-ever show on Saturday, September 6th at Los Angeles’ Echoplex, but now the band’s September 10th show at the Wiltern has the distinction of being the final ever NIN concert. The band will also take the stage tonight at Los Angeles’ Henry Fonda Theatre.

According to TMZ, while flying from his farewell shows in Chicago to Los Angeles, Reznor developed a clogged ear. Reznor still performed September 2nd at L.A.’s Palladium, but oversang and strained his voice because he couldn’t hear himself clearly. “Sorry about the hassles with the show not happening last night and tomorrow’s rescheduling. If it would have been possible to pull these off, I would have,” Reznor wrote last week on the NIN.com page. “I appreciate your patience and understanding — we’re attempting to make sure that everyone has the best experience possible and we’re at full power.”

Like Nine Inch Nails’ Palladium performance, the band was once again joined by Gary Numan for a pair of songs, frequent NIN cover “Metal” and Numan’s 1980 single “I Die: You Die.” Unlike the Palladium performance, The Downward Spiral wasn’t performed in its entirety, but the set list did feature a heavy sampling of Pretty Hate Machines tracks and an encore of Joy Division’s “Dead Souls” and Reznor’s “Hurt.”

How about rescheduling the Palladium performance for all of us that got to see a sick Trent. I much would have prefered to wait and see him healthy then sick. Ok, I kid I kid, none of the people I was with could tell he was sick. I just really wanted to hear DOWN IN IT, but we can’t hear them all I suppose!

Wow… Trent on TMZ… You become what you hate… And now he has turned the screw and became a star sucker…

King Wack-You don’t ASK to be on TMZ they just do it. It is NIN’s last tour, people are talking about it, TMZ is trying to get in on the action. That is the way it is.

Saw them at their last show in NEW YORK. Very sad. I hope this is not their last. I will miss them. I think over the last 4 years I got to see them 7 or 8 times and once at MSG in 2000. Be well Trent and come back soon.

If anybody really believes this is Reznor’s “final tour” I”ve got a big mansion in Puerto Rico to sell you….
He’s way too talented not to tour again…and NIN touring is his cash cow.

BIG EFFING DEAL! i assure you, reznor won’t go a six months without playing a NIN song live (it’s mostly him anyway), and will then give a different name to the same project and later cash in on both. he’s just taking advantage of the already dead music business, ’cause he can’t think of anything new to do until radiohead give him a hint

When you stop braining yourself to death, you can come back and comment here. Happy honey moon Trent! How did she beat you at quake?
