Blink-182 have rescheduled their next two concerts following the death of Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein. “After much thought and consideration, Blink-182 has rescheduled their next two shows in order for Travis Barker to mourn the loss of his dear friend Adam Goldstein,” Mark Hoppus wrote on his HiMyNameIsMark blog. “Blink-182 will now play St. Louis, MO on Sept 29 and Cleveland, OH on Sept 30. To accommodate the change, shows in Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA have also moved to October 6th and 7th respectively.”

See pictures of DJ AM with Travis Barker, Fergie, Jay-Z and more.

Hoppus adds that the tour will resume as scheduled with the September 4th show in Kansas City, Missouri, and thanked the fans for their support through this trying time for the band. Last night Blink canceled their performance in Saratoga, New York, at the last minute, and Weezer filled the void with a longer set.

Meanwhile, the Dave Matthews Band postponed tonight’s scheduled concert in West Valley City, Utah, because Matthews is suffering from a “doctor-diagnosed strain on his vocal chords,” according to the band’s official Website. Matthews was one of a few main-stage artists who suffered from throat issues at this past week’s Outside Lands festival, where Eddie Vedder also battled a bit of a vocal strain.

As of now, the tour will resume as scheduled, and it’s pretty essential that Matthews rest up his voice as DMB will roll into George, Washington’s the Gorge for a three-night stand there starting September 4th. No makeup date has been scheduled yet for the West Valley City show, but more information is expected soon.

What ever happened to “the show must go on”? Fans often plan their lives around a show, taking time off work, arranging for friends to travel to see a show together, etc… who the hell are these emo douchebags to screw all that up because some crackhead offed himself over a bad breakup? I suppose it’s too much to ask that today’s modern “artists” actually demonstrate some integrity and respect for the people who pay their bills. Then again, Stink 182 is pretty much crap “music” anyway, so if you’re a “fan”, I suppose you deserve what you get from these losers.
