I guess by some of the comments on here there are people out there who are hating because their bands probably never got off of the ground, and Mr. Tyler is STILL rocking after all these years, and doing it very well I might add! Get a life folks, and appreciate the band for what it’s worth!

Geez, the guy gave it to you straight and honest & for some reason, all of you still find a reason to attack him. Thanks, Steven for sharing your side of the story. May some of your fans learn to live with the fact that you are human and sometimes shit happens that’s unplanned, unwarranted and ends up cancelling a tour. I lost out on a show in Chicago and I paid a ticket agent for good seats like I always have for my Aerosmith shows. So I lost out on the difference of face value tickets and what I paid. I should be pissed but I’m not. I’m grateful for this band and this Steven Tyler guy for existing. He’s by far, one the most accommodating, kindhearted and caring individuals to his fans and makes time for all of us. So regardless of the bad picture, the moron who videotaped you in the liquor store and the bad press, it is nice to see that you still have maintained your kindness instead of really showing your Italian heritage and pummeling the morons who continue to tell you you’re too old, too stoned, too drunk or whatever!!! I wanna see you when you’re their ages and be able to do what they do just to keep a bunch of fans happy and content. Get better, Steven and your true fans will be there when you get back to rocking once again!!!

I wish Steven the best with his upcoming surgery and recovery. He is very fortunate that his injuries weren’t worse than they are.

I just saw Aerosmith right before the accident and let me tell you, none of them are ready to hang it up.
They all rocked for 2 hours straight!
So what if Stephen and Joe are doing projects on their own. They deserve to show off their individual talents, which both have many.

Who Cares what he was and who are we to judge. Can you say you have never been smelling that smell. NO But what is more important is why he changed companies and what is this new record going to sound like.

I have been a Aerosmith fan since 1973, I live in Prague. When I am asked what has come out of The States that is amazing, the first thing that pops in my head is Aerosmith. Hands down the best rock band, bar none!

tyler is a legend. I just hope all the rumours of bad blood bring the band closer together and produce a kick ass comeback that will be the best yet. If you can’t appreciate their talent you have no clue.

I’ve seen about 20 Aerosmith concerts in Toronto, Canada and let me make this perfectly clear: NOT ONE OF THOSE CONCERTS WAS BAD. Each one was awesome and the subsequent concerts kept getting better than the previous ones. Trust me, they’ve still got it. Oh and by the way, each band member is very supportive of a wide range of charitable organizations (really, not just fake support B.S. support like some celebs), which is more than I can say for most famous rockers. AEROSMITH will be back. They are simply the best American rock band of all time and among the top four rock bands of all time (alphabetical order): AC/DC, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stone. AMEN.

I definitely don’t think these guys should be thinking about retirement any time soon. I saw them 2 years ago and they rocked harder than any twenty-something band I’ve ever seen. 60 IS the new 40 after all.

My first Aerosmith show was in San Francisco in 1977, I was 18. My brother took me and I’ve been a follower of this band ever since. They DO keep getting better, always putting on a major production during their shows. They are the ultimate rock showmen. Thank you guys for all the great music all these years.Keep it coming!!! My brother unfortunately passed away at the young age of 52 last year, but I’ll always have him to thank for leaving me with my love of music, my love of Aerosmith. Get better Steven & Tom and come back stronger than ever!

I have been a die hard Aerosmith fan since 1974,and have yet to see a band who puts on a show with soo much high ENERGY!! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting all the guys and they are all down to earth and realize without us fans there would be no Aerosmith!!! They are HUMAN and humans make mistakes and accidents happen to them just like it could happen to any of us. Itis sad Steven got hurt fallin off the stage..shit happens and I’m sure iy wasn’t cuz he was stoned(Been there years ago,saw that) I’m just glad he didn’t hurt himself worse.
And if he has to take pain meds for the pain, I hope he is strong enough not to get too wrapped up with them,I know from experence it is way to easy to do.And Steven sang it himself..History repeats itself,lets just hope the drugs and his lastest girlfriend Erin, don,t repeat too much of that history! To me, she seeems more of a danger too Steven AND the band, than any drug could be. Tyler and the boys are super talented, and they are arguably my favorite all time band; up to and including ‘Done With Mirrors’. Anything after that? Awful commercial crap, there is no arguing it. A poster said it correctly above, they (sadly) made all their best music while out of their minds on drugs and alcohol.

Saw the guys in June ‘09 – They Were GREAT! They gave so much of themselves at that show. Looking forward to when everyone is better and they tour again. Met them 2 years ago and they could not have been any nicer. Real good guys.

been there done it. love stevie. one time i was drinkin wine and my husband got a call that his wife had broken her ankle. he said my wife in bed. they asked him to check. sure enough he had to come and get me. aleast it wasn’t ur fault. i got no sympathy for 6 weeks. lol

only had a chance to see steven and the band in concert once but it was completely unforgettable. I’ve met the band and they are all the most down to Earth guys you could ever want to meet. Joe is AMAZING!!! If Steven wasn’t in such good shape (they train HARD for the shows) he would have gotten hurt much worse. Love to the band and get your hot asses back on the road ASAP!

I’ve only had the displeasure of seeing Aerosmith once, and it was memorable only because it was the worst show I’ve ever been to. They stamped and mailed it…at least that night.

Here’s to their sobriety though. Their clean-up act probably saved a lot of musicians, and I’ll forgive them a lazy show in exchange, any day of the week.

Aerosmith, next tour, please start on West Coast, as the last three tours, yes three tours you messed with original dates, with postpoing or cancelling all together. DUDES IT HAS GOTTEN F^&*(NG Old. Maybe if you cancelled and postponed on the East coast the way you have on West Coast, they may be just as fed up with you as I am and know I am not the only one. It’s already been confirmed that the stage was wet (outdoor venue, folks) and that Mr. Tyler lost his footing. This can (and does) happen to a lot of musicians who play outdoor arenas in inclement weather. Clearly, it was an unfortunate accident. Give the guy a break, for the love of God…lol..Just because someone is famous, doesn’t make them any less human…

I saw these guys in Vegas in July and I can only hope to be active as Steven (He acts 20 still, gets everyone up and jumping). They kicked Ass took names and left me wanting more.

Steven Tyler had a fall, but he still has SUMMER, WINTER and SPRING. He is like a beautiful flowing waterfall—-a lion in the mountainous wilderness, and he certainly still has SPRING in his step and dancing skills. Steven although most people call it FALL, but, it is still an Indian Summer to me. Get up, shake your feathers, and show ‘em what it’s all about. Getting yo better is on my to do list. Maybe I’m Florence Nightingale reincarnated, ’cause I sure would like too take care of you..not more beggin’ and pleadin’.

I have been a die-hard Aerosmtih fan for over 23 years now. As much as I adore them I’m sad to say that there is so much more to the story here. I don’t feel that Steven is being 100 percent truthful about what went on; which is the reason why he and Joe haven’t spoken in over 5 weeks. All I can say is that I hope the band is able to put their differences aside and give us one more amazing tour.

Standing by ST does not equate to ignoring the obvious. You can love him and his music and still realize he is obviously “having some diffuculty”.

Let me start off by saying that Steven Tyler is the best entertainer this world has ever known! Ive been going to Aero shows for 23 yrs. i watched him perform time and time again. I saw Aerosmith in June right before his accident and they were awesome! He’s not stoned, he’s not druck and he’s not lying. When Joe perry had knee surgery they didnt tour for the longest time, then he had to have surgery again but now Steven gets hurt and he’s being ridiculed. Hell no!!! Thats not right. I will always be a true Aero fan and Steven Tyler will be back in the saddle again! All my love to you Steven, you da best!!

These pop/rock/music people are all the same… they get famous… they start to think they are little gods… thier egos get the best of them… Is the music good?… love Aerosmith (mostly early)… Do they need the money? F no!… They love the drug called attention… here we are back at that ego thing again….

Aerosmith will never die, infact I think there will be another incarnation of Aerosmith. After these guys came back from oblivion in the 90s they worked their asses off for 15 years, they needed the last 5 years off to rest and live their lives. Tyler is expert song writer and has more hit songs left to give. Not only that look at the band, none of them are anything without each other. I loved the Joe Pery Project, but from a music point of view it was very average.

It’s his life & his career. If he gets back with Aerosmith and they make more music, I’ll be happy. If he decides to hang it up or go solo, I’ll be less happy. Ultimately he’s got to do his own thing and our opinion is irrelevant. Cut the guy some slack.

Give these guys a break. They ARE the greatest American rock band ever. Yeah, they’re old, but they don’t suck like the stones, Who, etc. They are having “musical differences” for real. Have any of you ever played in a band? This stuff happens to everybodoy who does, it just gets more coverage if you’re famous. I personally agree with Joe on the direction, but Steven is a fantastic musician (perfect pitch and all), so I think they’ll work things out. They kick ass live, when they show up.
