After seeing Adam’s mesmerizing performance in Tampa a few weeks ago (his improv during the Bowie set with the red whip and handcuffs thrown on stage was priceless–but still suitable given the number of tweens present), I can’t wait to hear his own lyrical artistry to complement his vocals. Im from Hong Kong and It’s true with my CEO husband as well who is on transatlantic trips all the time. We exchange news about ADAM wherever he is. And I’m meeting him in NY this September to catch AI tour in Connecticut just to experience ADAM’s journey into SUPERSTARDOM. My husband upon seeing ADAM when I showed him on my laptop gushed the first time: That boy is the next ELVIS!

Adam has affected 3 generations in my home. My tween daughter, my teen son, my husband, myselt and my mother. We are crazed over-the-top GLAMBERTS and worship the airspace that Adam takes up! we had the fortune meet and speak to him in the Idol Meet & Greet in NJ back in Aug 8– and we have never been the same. You’re right in saying that expectations are really high right now for Adam. There is a slim possibility he doesn’t live up to the hype or that people jump on the bandwagon and love ANYTHING he does. First of all it’s okay to love everything he does because everything he does is perfect! Secondly even if for some reason, and(I seriously doubt this)he doesn’t amaze the world with his first album his true fans are devoted and will love what he creates no matter what the main stream thinks!! You just don’t “get” him and that’s okay. It takes a lot of different people to make a world. If we all liked the same thing life would be predictable and boring. I disagree with your opinion that he has a woman’s voice, but I do agree with Mugatu when he says, “I feel like I’m taking crazy pills”! But not because of the popularity of his “Royal Hotness”, but more how I felt towards America the night they crowned Kris over Adam!!

Rolling Stone—you picked a winner this time. For the first time in a very long time, I’m looking to RS to read about an artist–and not just picking the magazine up to read the fantastic (but non-music) articles. Keep it up! I’m 30 yrs. old and for the first time in my life I feel I am witnessing something special in the world of music. I’ve never been in love with a voice before, but now I am. I had been disgusted with the music coverage in RS for a long time (rap crap & tween, anyone??) but if the love affair with Lambert continues….well it just may melt my cold, dark heart.
