Creed Come “Full Circle,” Reunion Tour Kicks Off With Set of Hits

8/7/09, 9:50 am EST

Thursday night in Pittsburgh, Creed came alive for the very first time since… the previous evening, when the band played a full-production rehearsal concert for 50 contest winners. But Thursday’s show was the first official Creed gig since the Weathered tour ended in January 2003, days after frontman Scott Stapp’s infamous drunken meltdown in Chicago.

Six years later, the group was back to launch the Full Circle tour, which shares a name with the band’s upcoming new album. (It’s due in October.) Full Circle’s lead-off single, “Overcome,” was the only new material present in Creed’s public rebirth. The 17-song best-of set featured 11 of 13 songs from the band’s double-platinum 2004 Greatest Hits album. Other favorites from the band’s three previous records — which, combined, have moved 25 million copies in the U.S. alone — reminded the crowd that Creed were once kings of arena rock.

Read our backstage interview with Scott Stapp here.

Opening night drew a capacity crowd close to 15,000 of diehards from the band’s first run, longtime followers seeing them for the first time, teens with emo hair, parents with grade-school kids in tow, classic-rock lifers wearing new Van Halen tour shirts, and rock fans collectively clad in boatloads of Steelers and Penguins merchandise.

The tour reunites the original lineup for the first time since 2000, when bassist Brian Marshall left. They’re playing as a quintet, with touring rhythm guitarist Eric Friedman. It’s Creed’s biggest production ever. Stapp showered the crowd with constant thanks, but didn’t make any big speeches. The band let their sweat do the talking.

Playing in front of three giant video screens, Creed opened with “Ode,” Stapp shaking his shaved head like he still had a lion’s mane, grinning ear-to-ear as he leaned on guitarist Mark Tremonti. As the song ended, Stapp declared, “We have just come full circle!”

The band followed with the metallic “Bullets,” playing in a semi-circle of erupting flame clouds, and the song ended in a salvo of fireworks. Stapp introduced “My Own Prison” as “the song that started it all.” He delivered the song — and many other anthems of loss, redemption, unity, and faith — pointing to his chest hard enough to bruise it, making it clear: if the song wasn’t a true, autobiographical story in 1997, it is now.

Onstage (and off), the band displayed no hints of any lingering tension. From the first moments, Stapp and Tremonti didn’t miss a chance to lock eyes from across the stage and bang heads in unison. Stapp still strikes big poses, like a hot-dogging surfer, knees bent, pounding his chest, pointing to the sky. The singer’s voice is still working toward its full depth, but he still holds notes in bedrock delivery. Tremonti was all smiles delivering his simple, majestic riffs. The rhythm section flexed for a tooth-rattling slow groove in “Never Die.” Dressed in T-shirts and jeans, the band still look — and move — like their younger selves.

“Somebody tell me this is not a dream,” said Stapp between songs.

The crowd broke out an even mix of cell phones and lighters for sing-along hits like “What’s This Life For.” Eight songs in, Stapp had removed his shirt, revealing tattoos and ripples. Creed closed the set closed with “Higher.” As Stapp climbed the drum riser before the songs’s climax, the crowd’s roars gave way to applause as band played its stately riff in a rain of sparks.

For the encore — “One,” “One Last Breath,” and “My Sacrifice,” which Stapp dedicated to the crowd and the overseas troops — Tremonti and a shirtless Stapp stood back-to-back on the stage’s runway, surrounded by the crowd, Stapp’s traps glistening in a shower of white light. They two looked like onetime WWE favorites reunited to reclaim the tag-team title.

“Thank you so much,” Stapp told the crowd. “God bless you. What a homecoming this is.”

Set List:

“Ode”
“Bullets”
“My Own Prison”
“Say I”
“Torn”
“Never Die”
“What If”
“Unforgiven”
“What’s This Life For”
“Overcome”
“Are You Ready”
“Faceless Man”
“With Arms Wide Open”
“Higher”

Encore:
“One”
“One Last Breath”
“My Sacrifice”

And who said Jesus would never come back?

Richard | 8/7/2009, 11:23 am EST

and who exactly said we needed these guys back again? Ugh.

They were garbage the first time around.

Ben | 8/7/2009, 11:45 am EST

I was at the concert and CREED definitely rocked the joint. I loved the show and highly recommend my fellow CREED fans to see them…TRUST ME! CREED labeled as “garbage”…?? This has gone on since they started. CREED has sold over 30 million records, perhaps the total is more but ‘My Own Prison’, ‘Human Clay’, and ‘Weathered’… all multi-platinum albums. Their greatest hits album is certified platinum. Those kind of numbers don’t lie. CREED is back, so deal with it!

JTH | 8/7/2009, 11:51 am EST

If Stapp can keep his sh*t together, I’d be interested in checking them out.

TO | 8/7/2009, 11:53 am EST

I said we needed them back…….

liz | 8/7/2009, 11:54 am EST

great concert glad they got back together better then def leppard that I recently saw

Anonymous | 8/7/2009, 12:06 pm EST

great show..but every song was tuned down!

green-monkey | 8/7/2009, 12:08 pm EST

a waste of time. there music is generic and mediocre.isn’t scott stapp a cokehead drunk who always runs to the bible every time he screws up?

green-monkey | 8/7/2009, 12:09 pm EST

i’m not surprised anonymous likes them.

Mucky Fingers | 8/7/2009, 12:35 pm EST

I really dislike this band, but I will admit it is closer to true rock ‘n’ roll than a lot of the crap that is being broadcasted these days.

If I had to pick between Creed and Nickelback or The Decemberists and Wilco…I’m picking the former. It’s sad what rock ‘n’ roll has become.

Anonymous | 8/7/2009, 12:39 pm EST

Someone PLEASE shoot me!! Creed sucks

Jon G. | 8/7/2009, 12:48 pm EST

Ugh.

ronaldo | 8/7/2009, 12:52 pm EST

creed love in brazil will rock faces, come to brazil creed for the explosion in guitars rock. love of the creed in brazil for the rock faces, melt guitars creed rock face.

Ben is dumb. | 8/7/2009, 12:53 pm EST

I find it hilarious when people try to defend music as being good, by the number of albums sold… Like that has any relation to the product being good.

Creed selling 30 million records does NOT mean their music is good.

It simply means there are at least 30 million people with horrible taste.

McDonalds sells billions of Big Macs, but we all know a prime filet mignon is better. Get over it!

Radio Zero | 8/7/2009, 12:59 pm EST

It’s funny…Scott Stapp kept pounding his chest and pointing at the sky in the sex tape he made with Kid Rock. They have come full circle!

matt | 8/7/2009, 1:02 pm EST

i like creed. but what does record sales have to do with how good they are? nickelback sells millions of albums and their terrible… all those disney singers who have substance whatsoever like miley cyrus go platinum…. record sales have nothing to do with it.

Steve | 8/7/2009, 1:10 pm EST

Wasn’t expecting “Never Die” or “Faceless Man”… good choices.

Mr. | 8/7/2009, 1:24 pm EST

Ronaldo u r one funny SOB.

“love of the creed in brazil for the rock faces, melt guitars creed rock face.”

JW | 8/7/2009, 1:46 pm EST

It was an excellent show, hard to believe this would actually ever happen. They sounded close to their old selves, perhaps a little rusty with their old songs but it certainly appeared the chemistry was back. The crowd was really into it and I expect that as the tour rolls on, they will get sharper and sharper. Just happy as hell they decided to give this another shot.

Scaredy Cat Green Monkey | 8/7/2009, 2:05 pm EST

Please list the bands that you like.

Anonymous | 8/7/2009, 2:05 pm EST

Why did Stapp have to go ahead and say that he wanted in again? These guys were so much better with Myles up front as Alter Bridge! There’s no Creed song as good as “Blackbird”, and Tremonti’s work is so much better with AB.

Anonymous | 8/7/2009, 2:10 pm EST

Alter Bridge is so much better than Creed and it’s all in the singer. Such a shame that Stapp is the one getting all the attention and the true talent is at home. What has the music business came to?

mucky fingers lyks giving head | 8/7/2009, 2:12 pm EST

you prefer creed and nickelback over wilco and the decemberists? you should be shot in the head.

Anonymous | 8/7/2009, 2:17 pm EST

Mucky Fingers,

Have you checked out The Hold Steady? If you can get past the singer’s way of talk-singing you might like them. Definitely true, non-generic rock ‘n’ roll.

narcatin | 8/7/2009, 2:36 pm EST

why post hate comments… if you don’t like creed, don’t post. no one cares what you think. creed is a good band, has nice flow in their music and catchy lines. alot of bands can’t say that

ben fong torres | 8/7/2009, 3:09 pm EST

creed sucks

Jeremy | 8/7/2009, 3:36 pm EST

Creed is amazing and powerful group of performers. When i heard they were getting back together I got goose bumps. The friend that was supposed to be my best man passed away back in 2001, and the song “Arms Wide Open” was played at his funeral because we were both huge Creed fans. It’s amazing how life can come full circle.

Full Circle | 8/7/2009, 3:38 pm EST

Alter Bridge Better? They couldn’t sell out a bathroom. If there are so many AB fans out there then how come the shows and record sales don’t show it? These four are GREAT together! Myles, can you feel the pressure? Stapp is GOD! Tremonti, Marshall and Phillips are the Three Wise Men! Creed FOREVER!

Phil | 8/7/2009, 3:38 pm EST

Nice to see the haters read the whole article, scan through the posts, then type out, “Creed Sucks!” hahahahaha!

Ty | 8/7/2009, 3:41 pm EST

Mark Tremonti is what made both bans a success. He is a master at what he does and melody is what makes songs good 90% of the time, not singers.

Full Circle | 8/7/2009, 3:46 pm EST

Not Singers? Try listening to lemmy.

Naysayer | 8/7/2009, 3:53 pm EST

It’s only a matter of time before the beast comes out of Stapp and this all falls apart. Trust me, Stapp will show his true colors and fuck it all up, its only a matter of time!

Anonymous | 8/7/2009, 4:07 pm EST

I want to eat the jizz out of Scott Scapp’s pp… with my mouth wide open!

RTunes | 8/7/2009, 4:08 pm EST

Isn’t Van Halen awesome?….

friend | 8/7/2009, 4:15 pm EST

I think Creed should have their own brand of beer

their music epitomizes white trash, cheers

Full Circle | 8/7/2009, 4:31 pm EST

Myles better look for a new job. Creed pays the bills like a M—-R F—-R!

Cali Girl | 8/7/2009, 4:42 pm EST

People who taketime to look up Creed and then do all they can to tear the band down posting comments about how they hate Creed… Really should GET A LIFE.
What loser gets on the net to find things they hate just to post a comment. WOW lame.
Creeds sucess doesnt mean we cant also enjoy AB. They are 2 diff bands on diff labels. Alot of musicians have more then one project…gives us more music to love. Lets them be creative in diff ways. AB is not a replacement of Creed so get over it already. If you dont like them dont listen.
For those of us who LOVE Creed we are PROUD of them for moving beyond the past. The guys are men now and the mistakes of the past are the past. Who can say in there youth they didnt do something they shouldnt of. People are not perfect so get over it. Let them be happy and reunite and enjoy every minute of this. CREED thanks for the new album and thanks for bringing us back what we love. You Rock!

Daniel | 8/7/2009, 4:49 pm EST

The haters who actually wasted their time reading this review need to get a damn life. Grow the fuck up and deal with the fact that Creed is back. I have tickets to see them myself and nobody has the right to decide what IS and ISN’T good taste. It’s called ‘preferences’ dumbasses. Go listen to whatever stuff you like to, and us Creed fans will continue to listen to Creed. Do you understand or should I say it slower? Have a lovely day and move on to the NEXT band you don’t like and waste your time reading about their trials and tribulations as well.

Matt | 8/7/2009, 4:55 pm EST

Stop it! Stop hating on myles or Creed. They are like cali girl posted two separate bands. Dumb *** to not get that. I dig both bands and both offer something cool musically.
I think this is perfect timing to get Creed back together. Then the musicians can go back with AB later this year and write that new album.
So great music is all its about.
Creed is kick *** and hater are just mad jealious about it.
Creed Rock On and kick some mad album sells ***
Tremonti is insane on guitar
Stapp vocals are killa
Marshalls bass is thumin
Phillips beats are bad ***

Welcome Back Creed
We missed you

Anonymous | 8/7/2009, 5:01 pm EST

Art is subjective, true.

But being a fan of Creed is just pushing it.

You obviously never been exposed to actual GOOD music. I kind of feel sorry for you.

Daniel | 8/7/2009, 5:09 pm EST

And Mr. Anonymous just proved my point. I rest my case. I can’t particularly stand Fall Out Boy or Blink 182 but I don’t stalk down their articles just to leave hate comments. Whatever people wanna listen to is their own business. It’s pointless to look up bands and spend your time reading about them just to post some stupid crap such as ‘Creed sucks’. Get a life for god’s sake!

Anonymous | 8/7/2009, 6:20 pm EST

Nobody is ’stalking their articles’…

Just reading the latest headlines on RS dot com.

Take it easy.

And time spent writing comments on this site, is better time better spent than listening to a Creed album.

luvcar24 | 8/7/2009, 6:48 pm EST

was at the show last night and let me tell ya….it was awesome. been way to long. they all looked great and there chemistry was back in tune. to all you creed haters….get with it. if you truely take time to follow the band from the beginning, then you would actually know what you’re talking about. it’s pretty obvious that you don’t. all that you say is just a bunch of mumble jumble bull****. and let’s be honest here, just about every famous band has someone that f**** up in it. show me one that hasn’t. the cool thing is that they can get over and move on, not many people can do that. it’s apparent by all of the negativity you write. best band ever. i hope this is a very long reunion. they brought a dying rock and roll back!

Anonymous | 8/7/2009, 7:16 pm EST

Wow, if some of you are not creed fans then why are you spending time trashing them? NO ONE said you had to like them. Go listen to what ever you want. Creed will always be one of my favorite bands. No matter what any jelous person says. :) They were amazing in Pitts. Can not wait for the CD!!

Kyle | 8/7/2009, 7:21 pm EST

Creed us a special band. Mark Tremonti is the man.

Bill | 8/7/2009, 7:32 pm EST

is anyone opening for them? seeing them at darien sat night. thanks

Piddy | 8/7/2009, 7:46 pm EST

I can’t believe there are Creed haters or AB haters out there. They’re both CRACKING bands. I just wish Creed would tour the UK…

fanboy | 8/7/2009, 8:36 pm EST

creed is a band for the age, they rock good music, they don’t have to say bad words to bget people to listing to there music. its music i can let my son listing too. rock on creed.

hacK-er- | 8/7/2009, 10:02 pm EST

Haha… ha. Man, you haters are hilarious. In fact, post some more so people who have lives can laugh at you. Ever think that Creed fans also like other bands? No? What do you think we did the last six years? We listened to other music. Creed is just one of many bands that I, for example, enjoy and is probably the softest stuff I like.

So please, post some more about how Creed is “garbage” and how they suck, cause, to be honest, its kinda funny.

Being the worst band of all time is something anyway I guess….the singer being the biggest shmuck in the history of music is saying something too I guess…….rock DUDES who are also Jesus Freaks says something I guess……..says WE’RE THE WORST BAND IN THE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORLD !!!

Robert C. | 8/8/2009, 12:49 am EST

Human Clay [Wind-Up, 1999] Grade – C
In the year rock died again, what should come storming back but metal–d/b/a “hard” or “loud” rock and, as Syracuse demonstrated, uglier than ever. Yet these God-fearing grunge babies sound falser than rape-inciting Limp Bizkit, abuse-tripping Static-X, party animals Buckcherry, or even world-dance Days of the New. Because their songs address universals, they don’t debase women, a plus. But their spirituality is as sodden as their sonics. I mean, it’s not as if familial oppression isn’t real. It’s the main thing that turns the hard and loud into truth-seekers and revenge-seekers both. So after years of Marilyn Manson lies, young bands seem to have found a psychic space where such themes open up the musical imagination. By contrast, these guys are still in denial, bellowing regressive circumlocutions to drown out the truth inside. Which is what? Maybe lust.

Hank | 8/8/2009, 1:08 am EST

Does anyone remember that Stapp was the most hated musician in the world ? Or that he was the biggest jerk in music ? Or that Creed was considered the worst band in the world ? People PAID to see these reunited goofs ? You should all hang your heads in shame.

Rocker Chick Kelly | 8/8/2009, 1:32 am EST

Anonymous, You’re a fucking idiot! You must be one of the tools that Scott Stapp ignored as u begged on ur knees 4 an autograph before the Creed show that u had showed up 6 hours early for back in 1998. You have held a grudge ever since. Get professional help…or a job…or a woman. Probably the pro help would be best. Your sense of reality is warped to say the least.

Can’t wait to see Creed in Hershey Sunday night!!! All you haters go ahead and hate and the fans will keep on LOVING them. It’s a shame you feel the need to read a Creed article and then post negatively. I don’t ever recall going to a band that I don’t like’s article and then post something mean. Why do you feel the need to do that? There are MANY fans that love and appreciate them. Whey rain on someone else’s parade?

Central PA | 8/8/2009, 12:23 pm EST

creed’s music will cater well to the genetic mess known as Central PA

racing, religion, banging siblings, and generic shitrock

support the troops, dumbasses

Hershey | 8/8/2009, 12:32 pm EST

I love Creed, their music is so intelligent and sophisticated
When I first heard “My Own Prison,” I thought Beethoven had come back from the dead to inject genius back into popular music
To think that such talent is contained within such hunks of meat with dated goatees and post-grunge gear, oh the humanity

higher power, save us
the world will end when their “new” album is released
they are an audio atrocity that needs to be destroyed
what next? Days of the New getting big again? Go away, retarded dinosaurs, go away!

umhm | 8/8/2009, 1:12 pm EST

The day Scott Stapp decided to kill himself, his band, Creed, was the most popular rock act in the country. It was 2003. The group’s third album, Weathered, had just been certified six-times platinum, making it the best-selling rock album of the past year. Stapp himself, though, had become the most hated man in rock. Long-ridiculed in the press for his Christian-tinged lyrics and Messianic stage persona, Stapp had also alienated his bandmates with increasingly erratic behavior.
– Rolling Stone Magazine

music-geek | 8/8/2009, 1:17 pm EST

remember that band that was christian rock before they realized that they could rip off the formula of an album called Ten and ride it to cock rock glory? sure wish they would rerecord that same album again. this is an abomination of music as a whole. this is a fact not an opinion.

Baby jesus | 8/8/2009, 1:43 pm EST

First Limp Bizkit get back together…..then Creed….we need one more sign of the Apocalypse..
…..possibly Taco doing a re-mixed version of Puttin’ on the Ritz ?!?!

um hm | 8/8/2009, 2:13 pm EST

Stapp’s ego raged out of control. After shows, he’d ensconce himself in the corner of crowded college-town bars, ordering his bodyguards to bring over girls and keep everyone else away. He constantly threatened to quit the band, saying things like, “I’m going into acting or politics. This is just a hobby.” A jock in high school, he bragged about the number of fights he’d been in and drunkenly challenged people to trade punches. “Scott’s a time bomb every time he walks out the door,” says a source who worked for the band. One night, after Kelsey critiqued Stapp’s vocal performance, Stapp playfully tapped the soundman on the cheek a couple of times, then suddenly gave him a real slap. He walked away before a stunned Kelsey could react, later bragging that he had “bitch-slapped” the much bigger man.
– Rolling Stone Magazine

umhmmm | 8/8/2009, 2:16 pm EST

By this point, the band was more popular — and more of a target — than ever. Rock stars who had themselves been the objects of derision were delighted by the appearance of a singer more hated than them, and quickly, somewhat pathetically, piled on: Fred Durst taunted Stapp at a 2000 concert and Dexter Holland of the Offspring began wearing an EVEN JESUS HATES CREED T-shirt.

In the words of Creed…
But the mindless clutter my path
Oh these thorns in my side
Oh these thorns in my side
I know I have something free
I have something so alive

Paul | 8/8/2009, 6:01 pm EST

A thank you to the band for coming back and giving us this summer tour and the upcoming new album.
You have done what many bands that split dont do. You moved beyond the yesterday drama. Remembering the many years of the good times far out weighed the bad. I for one appreciate what they says and shows as an example to us all. forgiveness is powerful. This will be the best times and you will see that it will have a good effect on your other projects (like AB) I think this will introduce many who may not have otherwise knew you had other projects. My hope is you can continue with it all and like being a part of it all. Hats off to you for pulling this off. It showed us fans as well you cared about what we wanted.
Rock on & on

DarthGor | 8/8/2009, 6:55 pm EST

People stop saying negative comments about the band, if you don’t care about or hate it don’t write stupid hate, useful comments. I hate creed haters, they are talking sh!t since the beginning and never had stop of criticizing.

I was at the show Thursday night @ Posr-Gazette. I’ll admit I was never really a Creed fan. But I have to say that the concert Thursday was one of the best shows I’ve EVER seen (and I’ve seen alot). If they continue to put on shows like this every time, I would tell anybody that it is definitely worth going to see.

PEARL JAM RIP OFF | 8/8/2009, 10:31 pm EST

Ok now…..Pearl Jam conquered the world and Creed rode their coattails all the way to the bank. Scott Stapp’s voice MOC’K Eddie Vedder’s voice. LISTEN TO THE GUITAR SOLO ON PEARL JAM’S “BLACK” FOR CHRIST’S SAKE!!! “Arms wide open” solo is the cheesiest rip off of that solo!!!! What record exec let this through???????? I love when the guys in 311 kicked Stapp’s ass in a bar a few years back.

PEARL JAM RIP OFF | 8/8/2009, 10:33 pm EST

By the way, Limp Bizkit is not anywhere near as bad as Creed. At least they have something original.

NAPTOWN NUISANCE | 8/8/2009, 11:05 pm EST

though i liked creed when they where popular and they where pretty much one of the lighter rock bands i enjoyed.though they where still good and talented none the less.the only problem i have with their comeback is,there are a few bands out right now that are doin the same thing (arena pop rock )really successfully right now.creed may have a hard time getting back to the top of that genre.good luck anyhow.
haters will always hate something they cant be or hate somethin they cant achieve.

NAPTOWN NUISANCE | 8/8/2009, 11:14 pm EST

@ PEARL JAM RIPP OFF
yes i loved limp bizkit during their popularity, but to say they are original is a slap in the face to the bands before them that started it and did it way better.like the beasties, rage against the machine, hell even run dmc just to name a few.know your music history before you make such a bold claim.
the best thing lb had was an awesome guitarist and a great showman who could hold the crowds attention.in durst,(one of the best rock moves i saw in history from a band was when durst was ridin a piece of plywood the crowd was carrieng during breakstuff at woodstock).other than that they lost all that because of ego just like creed.

People Suck | 8/8/2009, 11:29 pm EST

Creed is alot better than some of the so-called “bands” around these days.

JTH | 8/8/2009, 11:59 pm EST

“What record exec let this through????????”

The one that wanted to make a shit ton of cash…

sassy Susan | 8/9/2009, 12:49 am EST

All you idiots who don’t like Creed are just jealous of Scott ! I WISH I was one of those girls in that video with him and Kid Rock ! He is one sexy hairy chested man ! I would be happy to add him to my list of rock stars i’ve “been with” …..wink wink. I’ve been with Meatloaf, John Popper, and Melissa Ethridge to just name a few…..your all jealous ! CREED rocks !!!!!!

12/21/12 | 8/9/2009, 12:52 am EST

Just saw the Creed show at Darien, they played all the hits, good energy, good show. Are they like Pearl Jam…How do you really break that down? Just like anything else people will dislike something for there own reasons, legit or not.

And mooooreeee | 8/9/2009, 12:55 am EST

On Thanksgiving Day, after announcing his engagement to his fiancee’s family, he got into a fistfight with members of the band 311 at a hotel bar in Baltimore. According to 311’s frontman SA Martinez, Stapp was doing shots, being “loud and obnoxious” and made “a disrespectful comment to my wife that I’d rather not repeat.” When drummer Chad Sexton asked Stapp to settle down, the members of 311 claim Stapp sucker-punched him and, in the follow-through, struck Martinez’s wife. (Stapp denies starting the fight.)

A few days later, Stapp taped an episode of Casino Cinema, a celebrity poker show on the cable channel Spike TV. He was obviously intoxicated. During the episode, Stapp slurs his words, curses incessantly, claims Dave Grohl has “a little cock,” demonstrates a bizarre series of kung-fu moves and demands a kiss from co-host Beth Ostrosky (Howard Stern’s girlfriend), later telling her, “My son thinks babies come from my sac” and “I make more money than Howard.”

frenzy | 8/9/2009, 1:00 am EST

I can barely remember these guys. Wasn’t he one of those dudes that did a lame grunge imitation of Pearl Jam ? And he sang funny….he sang and looked just like that guy who sang that “Mmmmmmmmmm…..mmmmmmm” song- “Ooooooooooonce there was this kid whooooo……..”
They looked just alike too. Wasn’t this the guy who takes off his shirt and acts all Christian rock ? A christian rock / fake grunge band ? LOL. It has to be the worst combination of musical forms ever.

Jess | 8/9/2009, 1:04 am EST

Personally I don’t even know who Cread is. But if your a fan why get so upset about other people not liking them ? It’s called your own personal taste. My friends and I like different kinds of music but we don’t attack each other about it. I have my own life, I don’t live through a band ! I don’t KNOW these people. What do I care if someone doesn;t like the music I listen to. Grow up ! :)

I'm Much Smarter Than You | 8/9/2009, 1:17 am EST

Writing in a derogatory way about Scott Stapp feels a little like attempting to either outdo or re-write the works of Shakespeare. On the one hand, it’s already been done so well by so many deeply talented, soulful people (like David Cross, or like the Faith + 1 episode of South Park, or himself) that we’re inclined to leave well enough alone.

On the other hand, Scott Stapp sucks so badly, on so many levels, in such a holistic, self-evident, immaculate, pure, tear-inducing, inspiring, Platonic-idealist sort of way, it almost feels like a crime to do anything but stare in awe at the glowing aurora of mediocrity bathed in unearned and utterly delusional egomania that emanates off of Scott Stapp like the sweat from his almost-always exposed nipples.

“Irony-deficient, Jesus-haired and often shirtless in a way that reminded people of the guy from Lord of the Dance.”
– Rolling Stone Magazine

Kimba | 8/9/2009, 1:54 am EST

I was in High School when these guys were popular, when the video for With Arms Wide Open would show up on MTV my friends and I would all laugh so hard, lol. We couldn’t figure out his faux accent, we couldn’t figure out why a guy from Florida sang with a Czechoslovakian accent ! -
“Weeeeerth ahms wide urpennnn…undhurrrr the sernshiiiiine” LOL.
Then we’d focus on his leather pants and fall into fits of uncontrollable laughter. I can’t believe anyone would go to see a reunion of these guys, and I imagine their new tour and album will of course stiff ;)

AlAl | 8/9/2009, 1:57 am EST

same crap – people hating on a band then someone writing back saying why you hate this band they are great because of this etc etc. I would just like to say that scott stapp looks like eddie vedder hit the gym and found god. No that dosent mean I hate them. “what if” was a pretty cool song but otherwise im fairly neutral on the band. to all the haters out there – fair call , they do suck abit. To all the creed lovers out there – whateves man there ok but you need to get out more.

Damion | 8/9/2009, 2:02 am EST

btw kimba its cherokee retard Stapp was born in cherokee, its a race which i as well am u f@#kin racist seriousely get a life

agent zero | 8/9/2009, 2:25 am EST

I don’t understand how people say Creed is a Pearl Jam rip-off. They sound nothing alike at all. People just hate Creed because they became popular and have a song that got played out really bad. So what! This doesn’t make them a bad band. The concert in Pittsburgh was awesome and I would bet that if some of you Creed haters saw it you would change your opinions.

thomas | 8/9/2009, 3:22 am EST

People who think Creed sound like Pearl Jam have obviously never really listened to much of either band. Future bands beware..if your singer is a baratone, flippant idiots will compare you to Eddie Vedder.
In the meantime pop/hip hop singers use auto tune and the same idiots think thats ok.

Leo | 8/9/2009, 4:18 am EST

Fantastic. The great thing is that this music has not aged. Powerful vocals, very tight musically, powerful guitars that add not overwhelm. Will definitely fly over from Europe to watch this band!

Robert | 8/9/2009, 10:06 am EST

These guys really epitomized the worst rock and roll ever recorded. Grunge watered down, monopolized, corporatized. They took what Nirvana started and warped it into the most godawful bland arena rock. Throw in pseudo Christian windbagging and you had music so awful in its pomposity that people had to naturally turn on them. And then you had Stapp……..oh lorddddd….Stapp….his name alone makes millions cringe….arrogant, TALENTLESS, hated, drunk, drugged, macho, shirtless, hairy, chest banger, pointing to Jesus like some polyster suit wearing sunday morning bible belt TV preacher….the horror….the horror….the horror….

Wink | 8/9/2009, 10:20 am EST

I like how the writer, cursing God and his editors that he was sent to review a CREED reunion, sneaks in the “rock fans collectively clad in boatloads of Steelers and Penguins merchandise”
……….subtly telling us the crowd was heavy duty white trash, lol.

creed=shit | 8/9/2009, 11:16 am EST

people who bash creed are not necessarily jealous (eewww fuck them). i simply hate this fucking vomit of a band. and all you creed fans can go suck my cock hoping that maybe some of my musical tastes (a lot better than yours for sure) will rub off on you.

FUCK CREED FUCK YOU SCOTT STAPP

creed=shit | 8/9/2009, 11:20 am EST

you creedcocksuckers obviously haven’t heard much much better shit than creed such as TOOL, RADIOHEAD, ISIS, THE MARS VOLTA, NINE INCH NAILS, SLAYER, etc. not that creed is comparable to them but fuck it, YOU HAVE OTHER OPTIONS. FUCK CREED FOREVER

Karma | 8/9/2009, 11:45 am EST

it is funny to me, for so many people to say they don’t like creed they spend alot of time talking about them

rick | 8/9/2009, 1:09 pm EST

The people who buy Creed tickets are the same people who believe the bible is the word of god. Their intelligence and taste in music make their pastors’ proud.

Aaron D. | 8/9/2009, 1:11 pm EST

I don’t hate Creed because they’re popular. I don’t hate Creed because they’re egomaniacs.

I hate Creed because the music is trite, bland and boring; everything rock shouldn’t be.

Anonymous | 8/9/2009, 1:14 pm EST

I would say Creed is shit.

But that’s an insult to shit.

Mike | 8/9/2009, 2:22 pm EST

I don’t feel like Creed is as generic as most people think. The voice? Probably. But the music? I think it’s what stands out the most. Even for the haters, I’m sure their ears perk up when they hear the sound of Stapp’s voice or Mark Tremonti’s riffs, then complain about how much they hate them without second guessing as to who it is they hear.

Also, Mark Tremonti is recognized by the rock community as a pretty damn good guitarist.

Mike | 8/9/2009, 2:24 pm EST

Dear Rick,

I’m not a big fan of the whole God thing, nor have I ever read The Bible. Thank you for being ignorant.

Love,
Mike

Josh | 8/9/2009, 4:11 pm EST

I went to the show for free. Livenation was just HANDING out tickets at Mayhem fest. I heard that there was a bar that was giving away tickets with every bottle of beer they sold or whatever.

Kimba | 8/9/2009, 5:02 pm EST

Wow ! Damion ! You’re in a CREED, Nickleback, and Staind cover band ! I can hardly type from the tears of laughter streaming down my face ! You can’t come up with original material so you choose to cover The Worst Bands in the World ! Impressive ! Listen, put down the guitar, or better still give it to someone with better taste in music, 93 % of American males are now “in bands”, which doesn’t make you a musician. 92 % of these bands will of course never make it. You might also want to check into an English course, brush up on your spelling and grammar. A CREED, Staind fan with a small brain ! How surprising !
First of all you start new sentences with a capital letter. And it’s “genre”, “neither”, and “seeing”. School was “a-hard for ya” wasn’t it ? And Stapp unfortunately for us Floridians’ went to high school here and has been here since, although i’m looking into presenting a bill in Tallahassee to have him removed for the good of the state ;)

Jesus | 8/9/2009, 5:02 pm EST

Don’t believe the rumors, I hate this band too.

Christina | 8/9/2009, 5:04 pm EST

it’s funny how you can sit there and call people who wear Steelers and Penguin attire “white trash.” they may look it, but they have a damned good taste in music.

*it’s pretty funny to read these and see how much time people waste bashing a band they refuse to listen to. get a life and stop wasting your time.(:

welcome back, Creed. we’ve missed you.(:

Jealous Much? | 8/9/2009, 5:08 pm EST

Wow I read the comments and the jealous ppl abound. So, if your in a band that sells 35 mil then your “too mainstream’ “sellouts”
“commercialized”
So, if a bnad you do like got alot of album sells you then call them those names? LMAO
jealous thats all it is.
with just 24 hours in the day your so jealous you need to make the world know how jealous you are
too f’n funny

I’m not sure what is more sad…

the fact that LiveNation was giving away tickets for free…

the fact that you admit to going to see Creed (even for free)…

you funny | 8/9/2009, 8:57 pm EST

What do you CREED fans want us to “grow up” and do ? Lol. You lot REALLY didn’t know that CREED is a really really really terrible band ? Really ? Did you know you’re embarrassing yourselves by telling the world that you listen to CREED ? Did you know you have really bad taste in music and should probably look into some other form of art to entertain yourselves ? I mean, maybe you’re good at gardening or math or something. But having an ear for music is NOT one of your talents. Trust me !!!!!!

David | 8/9/2009, 9:32 pm EST

Obviously there is a reason Post Gazette Pavilion was filled to capacity and Creed has been so successful as a rock band. Scott Stapp has an amazing, one-of-a-kind voice. Mark Tremonti is by far one of the best guitarists in rock. People also need to realize that although Christianity plays an important role in many Creed songs, Creed is definitely not a Christian band. An atheist, I still love Creed’s great music. I have been to a lot of concerts over the years and seen a lot of rock legends, and believe me, that concert was spectacular. All these people bashing Creed obviously have never listened to good music in their lives. Like the moron who claimed Slayer and Nine Inch Nails to be “real bands.” Come on dude, at least Creed’s songs have actual meaning. Also, at least Scott Stapp has a REAL voice and doesn’t have to scream his lyrics because he can’t sing. To all the people bashing Creed, wake up and get a life. Rock on Creed!

JB | 8/9/2009, 10:21 pm EST

Blibbidy, blah, blah, me, me, look at me, my music taste is better that yours, blah ,blah. I think that is the extent of everything written here. I’m laughing at you all pretty hard. Creed was mildly entertaining ten years ago and it’s interesting to see the rage of people on both sides just foaming at the mouth about their reunion. Thanks for the humor!

Jon | 8/9/2009, 11:12 pm EST

EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the music of CREED and its good to see them put aside their differences and try again..

Welcome back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bam ! | 8/9/2009, 11:19 pm EST

Mab ! | 8/9/2009, 11:22 pm EST

Stapp enunciates like the Target Lady played by Kristin Wigg on SNL-
“Welcome to Terget”
Stapp – “Weeeth eeeermmmmsss wide uurrpennnnnnnnnnnnnnnn !!!”

Great logic | 8/9/2009, 11:36 pm EST

Yes, it’s jealousy that fuels peoples hatred of CREED, nothing to do with good musical taste. In that theory we would despise every succesful band, has nothing to do with the music. We also can’t go see movies because the actors are making tons of money and it drives us crazy, lol. That’s called skewed logic rubes. It’s actually you that bows down at the idea that they make money, you see that as “success”. So if we follow that theory then NKOTB, Mariah Carey, and The Backstreet Boys are all raging success stories in your minds. Listening to music and filtering the good from the awful has nothing to do with the bands tax receipts. And yes, wearing sports gear is a SURE sign of white trash, living through your local idiotic sports team is pure white trash. Rubes !

Johnny 'Tunders | 8/10/2009, 12:47 am EST

Funny too how CREED fans, a blue collar, high school level educated (Or worse), NASCAR lovin’, cheap beer drinkin’, heavy smoker, bunch that they are equate monetary success with good music…..when they’re white trash who is at the bottom of the economic food chain…..ironic ain’t it ? ;)

You “caught” Creed’s show last night….er….that would define you as a……………. colossal, magnificent, earth shattering LOSEEERRRR ! And another sign, you feel the need to inform people that you’re a “musician” by your non de plume “Drummer Mike”, lol. Ah, dude, any musician who has made it wouldn’t feel the need to inform people they’re a “drummer”. Playing drums to Creed records in your mom’s basement doesn’t make you a musician ;) Ah ! Zack Wylde ! A METAL DUUUUUUUUDE ! LOL. So you’re a “musician” who likes CREEEEEEEEEEEED and Zack Wylde, LOLLLLLLL. Um, did you know you’re heavy duty white trash ? I know white trash usually doesn’t KNOW they’re white trash….but, ah, by your taste in music it’s obvious. You’re a “musician” who VOLUNTARILY went to a Creed concert, lolllllllllll. Tremonti Fan | 8/11/2009, 9:17 am EST

These comments, like all other comments on Creed that I have read, really confuse me. I honestly don’t understand why people foster so much hatred for Creed.

I’ve been a fan of Creed since their first album. I enjoy the music for its originality (particularly the guitar), lyrical depth, and strong emotional melodies.

I am a musician with 2 college degrees – 1 in music, and I can’t for the life of me understand how any of you can call Creed total musical garbage. They’re clearly not the greatest band ever from a musicianship standpoint, but they’re nowhere even remotely close to being crap.

My suggestion is that if you don’t enjoy Creed’s music, don’t listen to it, and just be content that others do like it for their own, valid reasons.

Lisha | 8/11/2009, 3:15 pm EST

All I have to say is CREED is amazing. They have talent that other bands don’t have. I was at their kick off concert and it was simply AMAZING!!

Was there | 8/11/2009, 3:22 pm EST

In hershey – band sounded great – Stapps voice is shot and has changed since last time around. Everyone around in the seats saying the same thing – studio will fix it but live he can’t hide or hit the notes anymore.

To all the haters: If CREED supposedly suck, then why is there tour SOLD OUT?! Why are they playing to 20,000+ a night? Why are they one of the biggest selling bands in history? 40+ million sold with only 3 albums to their credit. 9 #1 singles. Rip-offs? C’mon now. Even the mighty zep borrowed a few riffs. Stapp a Bono rip-off? Do you mean before U2 sold out or after? CREED IS BACK! Deal with it, live with it. You don’t have to love it.

shank | 8/11/2009, 5:27 pm EST

I think Stapp could carry Bono’s jockstrap if he wanted to.
Just tuck it into his brassier.

BAD COMPANY RIPOFF!!!!!!! | 8/11/2009, 11:50 pm EST

Ok, all you adolescent, Creed/Third-Eye-Blind/more Third-Eve-Blind listeners (Third Eye Blind..hahahahahaha!) Anyway, I have been to hundreds of rock concerts over the past 25 years. I am 38 yrs old, have played in an original band for a long time and have read music magazines incessantly since the inception of my puberty. I know a lot about music history and rock and roll culture. I’ve discussed rock music with my friends ad nauseum.

That said, Creed is a catchy band that I often find myself listening to when I am in the mood for something funny and catchy. Stapp and company hit the airwaves back in the 90s at same time as bands like Staind and others who have that Eddie Vedder intonation (not just baritone but also his style). Stapp’s voice are a mocking or an exaggeration of Vedder from the first 2 PJam albums. Vedder clearly waited 30 years to steal that same deep howl from the original one himself, Jim Morrison of the Doors.

ALL THIS SAID, what really separates CREED from other shit bands from the 90s (post grunge) is their ability to steal melodies from other classic bands….not just Stapp’s vocal intonations but actual melodies and switch them around to sound original….almost like when a company gets a studio musician to mix up a WHO song or BEATLES song for their dish soap to appeal to the older crowd.
(GETTING TO MY POINT HERE)
Go on Youtube and search for “:Feel Like Making Love” by Bad Company, play it through the first verse….THEN, search for ‘Higher” by Creed, go through the first verse. Do this a few times with both videos and write on this blog what you think?????? I’ll bet that over 75% OF YOU RESPONDING TO THIS WILL AGREE THAT THEY OWE THEIR BIGGEST HIT TO PAUL ROGERS FROM BAD COMPANY….STAPP STOLE HIS FUCKING MELODY AND GOT AWAY WITH IT…..WHICH TO MANY OF YOU SEEMS FINE….I am ashamed to have spent this much energy trying to school you ig-no-ray-mooses that Stapp is a corporate tool…..and just a tool.

Full circle – need to check the facts on the “sold out” shows to 20,000+. They had to move the Hershey show from the stadium, 30,000 cap to the star pavilion 8,000 cap. Then a week before the show they are advertising – email and on line – “buy one creed ticket get one free”.. I was there at the show – not bad but Stapps voice is gone now, and i was in the 5 row center. Lots of empties everywhere. Creed is not what they used to be for sure. Band sounded great but Stapps voice is below average and shot now.

Amanda | 8/12/2009, 4:59 pm EST

TO: BAD COMPANY RIP…

If your a Bad company FAN then why are you reading Creed stuff?

Saying that Tremonti rips off melodies is plain idiotic.
Stapps voice is not a copy of Vedder. Its his voice, ever heard him speak? He has a deep voice you dummy.

People like you just need to get over it.

I dont take time to read about Bad Co.just to make judgements. My mind is big enough to like all kinds of music. Its not a contest dude.

Bad company are old dudes now are people supposed to only like bands with old dudes and never like any other bands

Get over it you wimp

Jim Gold | 8/12/2009, 5:05 pm EST

I was at the Buffalo New york concert.
Front and center. the guys were in top form. Adding the second guitar
made it even more awesome.
Scott’s voice was great dont know what that dude \/ below is talking about. Probably a creed hater.

As for show counts moving an arena is a norm in the biz. And remember too that the economy isnt so hot people have cut back on extra stuff
aka going to a concert.

My advice, if your like creed dont miss the show if you can go!
It was awesome. The pyro stuff made it even better.
CREED !!!!!!!!!!

ZR | 8/13/2009, 4:28 pm EST

Dear Bad Company dude,
I respect the fact that everyone has a right to have different musical taste and opinion, but you should respect the people who enjoy Creed’s music too. I’m not going to curse at you and talk rudely, but just wanted to let you know that Feel Like Makin’ Love and Higher have no musical similarities, beside the groove and tempo. It’s a completely different key, the melody is almost completely different, and it’s two different styles in the rest of the song. If Creed decided to take the melody, it would be illegal and something worthy of bringing up. If they were inspired by the groove, that’s awesome and completely legal and nothing for you to blame them for.
Also, the way you’re talking to some people on here is not the way you should treat people you don’t even know. Just my opinion.
On another note, I saw Live and Loud and thought it was great musically, but Stapp’s voice was lacking a bit.

Charlie Fun Buns | 8/14/2009, 12:17 am EST

Bad Company Dude has many legitimate points. I was a huge Creed fan until i began noticing some of the same similarities that he has. It’s important to listen to those who do have more musical knowledge..to reach out and learn something is key. Creed is really sub par.

EX CREED GIRLFAN | 8/14/2009, 12:20 am EST

WOW – The Boys are BACK. Tight, crisp, and able to get the crowd in tow. The A-hole who has more issue than we can solve here. But for those that CARE – Creed ROCKED in Camden (Philly). I have seen more concerts than I care to go over here (Including Bad Co / Kansas as my FIRST 35+ years ago at MSG), and I am here to tell all CREED IS BACK WITH A VENGENCE. Tremonti is ALL business, and Scott has a stage presence that is unreal…..GO SEE them, and judge for yourself – you will not be disappointed :>)

Barclaybass | 8/14/2009, 2:33 am EST

Yes sir, I was at the Camden show tonight and they did indeed kick ass!

I will admit that Stapps voice is not what it used to be live, but he Nailed half the night and was just a little off the other half…he just can’t nail those high notes. Maybe his voice is gone, maybe he needs to get it back into shape because he really used to kill everything live….he was very good.
But that does not diminish at all how great the band was, how great the show was, and how good the songwriting is. Thats what it’s all about anyway, they write great songs and all of those haters are just people who don’t like anything percieved as “popular” and rip on it even though the band will sell 8 million records and sel lout arenas.
Bon Jovi got it in the 80’s, Creed in the 90’s and now it’s Nickleback who get no respest yet sell millions of records.
I’m glad a great band like Creed is making music again.
That Bad Company idiot below is a moron. Everything is derivitave of something these days, rock has been around 50 years and there are only 7 chords!

Patrick | 8/14/2009, 9:18 am EST

I response to the Bad Company reference… find a band out today that hasn’t “stolen” a riff or melody from another band. For example, listen to the Fall Out Boy song “Sugar , We’re Going Down” and tell me that the beginning of that song isn’t a direct ripoff of “Higher”. New bands draw inspiration form older bands. As the saying goes, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Instead of “stealing”, think of it as them paying tribute to their rock idols.

Full Circle | 8/14/2009, 9:45 am EST

Creed was amazing last night in Camden! Amazing! From the opening chords to the final bows. Amazing! Bad Company Ripoff, stick with Bad Company! I hear there playing back yard bbqs this summer. And as for Ex Creed Girlfan, stop over Bad Company Ripoffs, have a burger and catch a tune. That is of course if Paul Rodgers is done destroying Queen. Anyway…Stapp was in top form! Walking the stage like a battlefield he had just conquered. And he did! Marshall and Phillips were as tight as a virgin on prom night. Big Shock there though. Those two are one of the best! Tremonti! What do I need to say? Ssssmokin’!!! Kuddos to eric! Great back up man. The interaction and camaraderie between Creed was inspiring. Smiles for each other and the capacity crowd in Camden. “We’re Creed and were back! Full Circle” Thanks guys. Worth the wait.

Full Circle | 8/14/2009, 10:07 am EST

And as for Charlie Fun Buns, Creed subpar? In just six short years and three albums they’ve had what some bands would call a career. 40+ million sold, 9 #1 Singles and have played to 5 million and counting. Subpar? You sure about that?

AdamG | 8/14/2009, 10:35 pm EST

Stapp’s voice has always sounded terrible live. That’s what happens when you can’t sing and try to sound like other famous singers!! He’s a puppet trying to sound like grunge icons Vedder and Staley. The studio does wonders for this loser. People who like this band may have something seriously wrong with them….. and Stapp is a loser in life who beats on women and abuses drugs and alcohol. nuff said

Full Circle | 8/15/2009, 6:13 pm EST

For AdamG: Stapp is a loser who abuses drugs and alcohol? Is that what you said? What do you think killed your “icon” Staley? Your a tool dude! I’ve seen vedder live. Sing? I don’t think so. There isn’t a singer out there who doesn’t benefit from the studio. Do you really think Robert Plant sounded on stage like he did in the studio? Your a tool! Stapp is 36 and still delivers! I was there. I saw it. Amazing! Stick with Pearl Jam. By the way, doesn’t the intro to Yellow Ledbetter sound eerily familiar? I.E. Jimi Hendrix? Your a tool! Think, if possible before you blog.

Not as good as in the studio.. | 8/15/2009, 7:05 pm EST

I saw Creed once and Led Zeppelin twice and I can defeinitely say that both Plant and Stapp sounded as good as in the studio if not better. I saw Zeppelin in ‘75 and ‘77 and their show was outstanding!

Shel | 8/16/2009, 11:17 am EST

I saw Creed in Camden 8/13 also and the show was AWESOME. They seemed to be really enjoying themselves (esp Scott) and the audience was great if I do say so myself ! I am begging them to come to Philly on any post/website I can find. Perhaps to help close down the Spectrum? Oh by the way I hate it when the infamous Chicago show is always brought up. NY Eve 20002 in Philly was after that and despite all the drama I had a great time and the show was fine !!!!!! THAT show is never mentioned. Hmph.

I mean, what else can I say? I guess I’m gonna go and listen to a Creed cd and do what you said. And then try and find some way to go on living. WOW! But please keep on blogging. It’s so rare to get such an intelligent blogger with such an expanded verbal library at his disposal. Please don’t let us down.

I love Creed! | 8/17/2009, 6:28 pm EST

I like how they offered ticket buyers a hot dog and a soda to boost concert sales at the last minute cause no one was buying.

Quote of the Week | 8/17/2009, 6:34 pm EST

Creed is a genital wart on the penis of good rock music.

Creedsucks.com | 8/17/2009, 6:36 pm EST

Creed definitely does suck (I couldn’t possibly say it in a more intelligent way and still fully communicate the intensity with which they suck). I was watching vh1 the other day (i know, i’m almost ashamed to admit it) and “Creed: Behind the music” was on. The stupid narrator or whatever you want to call him kept saying that Creed saved Rock. First of all, rock is not dead, nor is it in danger. It does not need some Pearl Jam knock-off, christ lovin’, no-talent, bull shit generating machine (Creed) to save it. Second of all, either everyone in America is a moron or people just don’t listen to the music they buy anymore. Do any of these degenerates actually listen to Creed’s lyrics? They’re terrible, and anyone who would waste precious life or breath arguing otherwise deserves any and every terrible twist of fate that is brought upon them. Any semi-good lyric that Creed might accidently stumble upon is moronic and cliched, and anyone who would voluntarily subject there much needed and obviously lacking brain cells to such agony as Creed’s music creates must be terminally ignorant or irreversibly masochistic. The fact that every time i turn on the radio I hear “With arms wide open”, makes me want to rip off my own arm, just so i have something to throw at the radio. One of the assholes from Creed (doesn’t matter which one, they’re all morons) apparently bad mouthed Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder on the air at some radio station. When I heard about this i projectile vomitted, and commensed stabbing myself with an ink pen. This is along the lines of what he said, “Eddie Vedder wishes he could write like Scott.” Yes, idiot, Eddie Vedder, one of the greatest singer/songwriters of all time, wishes he had the talent of a retarded lab monkey, wrote lyrics unworthy of the sweat off a dead dogs balls, and sang like his vocal chords might be prosthetic.

CreedRocks.com | 8/18/2009, 8:47 am EST

Why don’t you rip your arm off and beat yourself with it. Your an idiot! Why would they wanna rip off Pearl Jam? PJ SUCKS! Except when there borrowing opening riffs from Jimi Hendrix. Yellow Ledbetter. Sound familiar? And what’s with the talk about not moving concert tickets? 22,000 strong in Camden last week. Get used to it, THEY ARE BACK! The saviors of rock! Come october stop reading the charts. CREED will be all over them. Selling another 10 million plus!

Barclaybass | 8/18/2009, 11:26 am EST

Yea, to the retard spouting off about Pearl Necklace (oh, I’m sorry I mean Pearl Jam) get a life. Eddie Vedder one ogf the greatest songwriters ever? They had ONE good record, and the rest of their crap music was whiny self important “OOOoo, I don’t really want to be a successful musician but PLEASE buy my record” CRAP! HORRIBLE songs that go nowhere and have NO melody with aweful self indulgent musical passages. They SUCK!SUCK! SUCK! SUUUUCCKK!
You don’t like Creed, fine go hang off of Pearl Jams nuts and leave the rest of the world alone. They could use the fans, Creed don’t need you.

Creed sounds like creed..... | 8/18/2009, 1:09 pm EST

and they do SUCK. I can’t believe they are back together. I’m not a pearl jam fan but they are a way more talented band and so was Alter Bridge. People should not mention Led Zepplin in the same sentence as Creed. I hope they break up again…..

tree frog | 8/18/2009, 4:11 pm EST

I have to say that I have been to over 50 concerts and Creed was one of my all time favorites! I thought they were AMAZING live! I am so excited they’re back!!! I just bought my tickets and happily paid premium to get great seats! They are the only band besides the Rolling Stones that I will have bothered to see more than once.

Old Dude | 8/18/2009, 4:55 pm EST

I supose I really am too old to appreciate the hatred of some bloggers towards Creed. The band has given rock some of its greatest moments and Stapp is just as vulnerable as any other rock star when it comes to those who are better off listening to Nirvana’s drug induced attempts at music. I truly am sorry for the younger generation which thinks it their duty to try and deface someone elses progression into the music world. Simply put from an old rockers viewpoint , ” don’t but the shit if you don’t like it” but try and refrain from showing the rest of us your ignorance and rudeness.

Another Old Dude | 8/19/2009, 11:39 pm EST

I agree with Old Dude, being one myself, or at least older than a lot of the other posters. It almost seems like blogs and comments have become a joke. Rather than be a place for the fans to share the love like some of us are trying to, it is just an easy target for people that most likely never listened to a song that just want to stir the pot. I went to the Mansfield show as well and loved it! I haven’t found a lot of music nowadays that I can latch onto so hearing these guys rock out was long overdue.

Creed is back and their new single is AMAZING! cant wait till the CD.

Tucker | 8/22/2009, 9:03 pm EST

How unreal some of the comments are on here. I have a question if the other bands you name are so good including Alter Bridge who I do like why have they come no where near the success creed has had. Which rock band is it again with the most number 1 hits and staying at number one on the charts. IF you don’t like the band why do you even bother to read the articles on the or even comment If I don’t like something I don’t bother with it. To come on and say what you do actually shows how jealous you are that who you like is not even close to how popular creed is. O f all concerts I have ever went to they by far put on the best live shows and their audience rangers from young to old hitting all generations not just stuck in one like so many bands. Ask your self why has the band you like not reached the success of creed if they are that good and you will have you answer right there. Creed is not a christen rock band and never was it’s your way of trying to put them down if you don’t like it then don’t read it or else why are you here maybe cause your jealous?

saw Creed in VA BeacH tonight. Saw them 9 years ago. Still ROCK.

Final Creed Commentary for All | 8/23/2009, 1:38 am EST

FACT: Stapp is a wife-beating alcoholic, rip-off douche bag who insults everyone publicly from Dave Grohl to 311. He thinks he is Jesus and although, at one time, may have shown some promise as a young artist in the music biz, has lost the respect of many mainly due to his low-class ways. Many CREED LOVERS are clearly neophyte music fans who know nothing about the quality of rock music – open your ears and read up on bands who bury Creed into the musical abyss such as the Chili Peppers, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, every band in the 70’s, most bands of the 80s )yesa, ever RATT was better…hahahahah), etc, etc, etc….people, please get real here. Creed always did and will always be a third rate rock act with fourth rate fans who have yet to come out of high school or out of their trailers.

Sorry to waste my time on this idiotic blog….and YES, Stapp is probably on this blog posing as the many fans here. TO all the HATERS: keep your heads high but cover your ears.. for CREED has a new album in the works!!! EEECH!

CreedRocks.com | 8/24/2009, 1:21 pm EST

Here’s the final word on Creed. CREEDROCKS!!! Creed has outsold AIC & Soundgarden COMBINED! Nirvana has outsold Creed by 20 million Albums. But Nirvanas total included box sets and live albums. Creed: 3 albums! And the suicide of a singer always helps. Pearl Jam has outsold Creed by 15 million. PJ’s sales include 8 studio albums, 2 greatest hits and numerous live albums. Creed: 3 albums! And PJ has 15 more years on Creed. And last but not least, the RHCP. The RHCP have outsold Creed by 20 million. The RHCP have been around since 1984! 1984! 17 years before Creeds first album. 25 total. Creed sold upwards of 40 million records, 9 #1 singles and have played to 5 million across the globe, and counting. And they did all of this with 3 albums in four years.

Final Creed Commentary for All | 8/24/2009, 3:04 pm EST

To CreedRocks.com

They still suck. Sorry. It’s just been proven over and over. Just because country bumpkin Christian freaks buy their records doesn’t mean that they write quality music.

Get a new hobby. I hear that Miley Cyrus has a position open in her fan club.

Tucker | 8/24/2009, 3:40 pm EST

Final Creed Commentary for All : people like you make me laugh your taunts about Stapp to start it off. I am sure that at some time in yupr life u have insulted someone or maybe in a drunken state done something stupid but don’t hold yourself to the same kind of ridicule that you are giving to Stapp ur so high and mighty lol what a joke your nothing but a hypocrite. All the other bands you mention all out longer then creed with many more albums yet creed is still right up there eh funny that must tick you off. Bands that bury creed into the musical abyss you even said Ratt was better lol man that just shows how bad your musical taste is and how little it is you know about rock music my suggestion is for you to crawl back under that rock you came out from your 90’s post grunge slumber because you have no musical taste what so ever. Not to mention your calling creed fans people who have not yet got out of high school or out of their trailers sounds to me like your the one with the issues that can’t except the truth and are trapped in time so you can’t move forward I have a suggestion for you get a life stop living in your mom’s basement being angry with the world.

Creed Rocks.com:

Obviously the Ratt comment was meant to be funny. Seriously dude, here’s the deal…I just have a really hard time taking Stapp seriously. I just don’t like the music, it just never sounded that original to me….there are lotsa bands like that. Creed just happens to appeal in that way to me. I hear other bands in there….and bands from the same time and genre. Influence should transcend generations and not be picked up 3 years after the fact.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Record sales mean nothing to me. I am not in the record business. I am in the listening business. I really don’t know one person that liked/likes Creed. Maybe it’s my crowd, my age, whatever. I am an open-minded person….I just don’t get Stapp.
That said, this is America and they are entitled to their piece of the pie….as long as they can sleep at night.

Question: If Creed is so damn popular how come they ran this cover story back in 2003…entitled “Love us or Hate us” This shows how many people see it the same way.

Vedder vs; Stapp | 8/25/2009, 2:53 am EST

You need to see this. Go to youtube and search “EDDIE VEDDER X SCOTT STAPP”

CreedRocks.com | 8/25/2009, 1:16 pm EST

For End of Days. Just so you know, it must be your crowd. Like I said, 40 million+ and over 5 million played too. If you don’t like them fine. Everyone does have an opinion. But just say you don’t care for them. SUCK, that’s just too far off the mark. You don’t get Stapp. Does anybody “GET” Roger Waters, Prince, Bob Dylan? One last note, Rolling Stone running the “Love Us or Hate Us” article…they’ve run an article like that for numerous artists. This is the magazine that panned EVERY Zeppelin album.

END OF DAYS | 8/25/2009, 10:04 pm EST

Creedrocks:

Not one person on this blog will ever agree with your comparisons to Prince, Bob Dylan or Roger Waters..that’s taking it a little too far …..can’t believe you went there!!! Please…

I read the article above again. I simply don’t like Stapp. It seems like he has a major problem with his own identity and has taken that out on others over the years.

I take back “suck” and replace it with “lacking substance” and “obvious pretense”.

missfoxxxxxxx | 8/26/2009, 4:00 am EST

We went to a Creed concert for the first time on Wednesday night. It was the best concert I have ever attended in my life. Scott Stapp’s voice sounded just as strong as it did on Creed’s last album. It is ever so slightly deeper. But, I think that makes it sound even better than ever. Everyone in the band played to perfection. The pyrotechnic special effects were awesome. Scott takes off his shirt during the encore. What more could you ask for? Go see and hear Creed in concert! You won’t be disappointed.

Anonymous | 8/26/2009, 2:33 pm EST

Who opened up for creed?

CreedRocks.com | 8/26/2009, 2:39 pm EST

End of Days:

Now were blogging like intelligent people. You don’t care for him, fine. I personally don’t care about whatever struggles he’s having. Whatever they are he seems to be projecting into the music. And that’s great! For me atleast. But just so you know I wasn’t making comparisons. I was simply stating that no one “gets” Prince, Waters or Dylan but they still buy their music and attend their concerts by the boatload. Music isn’t appreciated or understood the same way by everyone. It all means something different to everyone. I absolutley love music! It really is the soundtrack of our lives. Like a time machine. I hear a song from when I was a teenager, and suddenly, for three and a half minutes (or what have you) I’m young again. My hair is long, I’m with my friends and have no responsibility. It’s great! Music is whatever you take from it. So choose wisely.

END OF DAYS | 8/26/2009, 10:43 pm EST

Creed Rocks:

I am a musician and have been in a band for many years. I may border on musical snobbery at times. However, I feel that after many years I have earned my musical wings. Been to hundreds of shows, Bought thousands of albums and songs..I consider myself a student of musical culture. As an artist, it is understood that each of us must be influenced in some way…we take in what’s around us, interpret it and regurgitate it in another form…a different form. Simply put, some artists do this well and others do not. I can only see this though my eyes.

I form my opinion not because I don’t understand Stapp or Creed as people but I don’t understand or enjoy what they have to say and how they say it musically. For some reason, it boils down to having respect for other artists whether I like their music or not.

CreedRocks.com | 8/28/2009, 3:23 pm EST

I’m right there with you. Tons of shows, literally thousands of cd’s. I guess we agree to disagree. Which is cool. i just believe there hasn’t been alot of great music lately. I also think in the late nineties we were lacking BIG time. And Creed filled a major void. For me atleast. I just think certain bands work really well together. Creed is one of them. Alter Bridge doesn’t do it for me. Those three and Myles just don’t gel well. So I’m glad Creed has worked out there differences and are putting the past behind them to move forward. Just like the late nineties, we need it again.

Guy | 8/28/2009, 8:29 pm EST

Haha, wow. Some people. Who clicks a link and wastes their time posting negative comments about a band they don’t even like? Really. What is that going to accomplish.

Also, since when is sounding like a good band a bad thing? What if they sounded like panic at the disco? Would that be better? That’s what I thought. I never even understood why this was originally brought up. IMO their music doesn’t even sound much like pearl jam’s, it’s just stapp’s voice, but he can’t exactly change that now can he.

I also love how people waste their time judging stapp on a website and when don’t even know the guy.

I think it’s cool they got back together. Wasn’t a huge fan of weathered, but I liked their first 2 albums.

You have to be a really sad person to spend time online to just hate on a band.

I will never understand what it is within many humans that when a person “falls or fails” there is some need to take that broke person and mash them into the ground. I always personally believed you give a fallen person your hand and lift them.

What person has not done things in there life they regret or are not proud of. What person would like those things thrown in there face over and over EVEN years and years after the fact. EVEN when they are not that person any longer.

The guy was in his 20’s when his marriage falls apart. He didnt want a divorce and that was painful for the guy. Then his wife decides she also does not want to raise there baby. More pain.
He is also being worked like a dog by his label who could careless that a singer cannot stay vocally healthy without real rest. So they just get him a dr. who gives the guy meds to make him work even more. He then finds out from a REAL dr.with no label ties that it is the worst thing he could do to his vocal nodules taking that type of meds. He then becomes addicted on top of drinking.

Its called PAIN people. A young guy unable to cope with alot of life pain all at once. So he fails and falls.

The point is he got back up! He grew older and made amends with his band. They forgave.

So there is nothing anyone should be saying any longer on the past.
Its over, time to look forward and let them enjoy there friendships again and the fact they now are grown men who have the maturety to deal with life now. There own words.

If you dont like creed then go listen to what you do like.

For me, these guys give us 2 bands with great music. They teach us all a lesson in this reuniting…
Forgiveness is powerful.

Now please stop appointing yourselves Judge. And learn to have some compassion. Because each one of you will need too will need compassion shown to you one day.

First off, alll you Creed haters, you need to get a life, and maybe take all that negative hateful energy, and put it in a more positve place. Go make positive comments for the bands you do like. You know, in a sense, you are giving them hype, even if your attention is bad attention. If Creeed doesn’t matter to you, then why are you even bothering here with your negative comments, why even give them the time of day. Wouldn’t your time be better spent giving positive vibes to the band you DO like. I’ve been a Creed fan since the beginning. Reading the positive with the negative. Hey, we are all human, and subject to mistakes. For me, and those in my world, this Reunion Tour was just the shot in the arm I needed. So glad they are back together, and finally getting GOOD PRESS! The new song, OVERCOME is powerful stuff! Goosebumps during Scott’s opening line. Been watching the reviews, and one by one, the critics seem to be really be warming up to the band Creed is today. Been seeing alot of positive things here, their earnesty, enthusiasm, their, “coming together as a band,”the pyro show is to die for! Scott’s humble mannner! Packing in LARGE crowds in spite of these very hard economic times! Been waiting for this for many years. Creed, keep rocking!

Creeds style is hard guitar rock with a solid foudation of drums & bass to carry Scott Stapps unique vocals and meaningful lyrics to move us and make us think about life. I love their music, and their fans don’t care who hates them, who hates their music, or who they think Creed copied. Can’t wait to see them @ Irvine.. Overcome is hard and meaningful. Will buy the new CD when it’s released. All you Creed haters please do us a favor and stop trying to educate us on music.. We know great music when we hear it. And Creed is FANTASTIC! Pearl Jam rip-off? Oh, and the guitar licks on Yellow Ledbetter aren’t Hendrix rip-offs?!

Great musicians are almost always influenced by great musicians that went before.

Scott Stapp’s voice is NOTHING like Eddy Vetter’s. If you think otherwise, you know NOTHING about music or vocal nuances. Scott Weiland’s voice ont he other hand (especially in his STP days)…

Creed is the total package — the perfect combination of musical talent, songwriting ability, chemistry, and live performance energy. Few bands have or will ever match them.

Nice comment SeaL. I thought I was the only one who knew about the yellow ledbetter thing. I’m tired of the bashers. Creed is total. If you don’t like ‘em don’t listen. Move on.

MYLES KENNEDY ROCKS!!!! BETTER THAN STAPP – ANYDAY!

Fact | 9/25/2009, 3:04 am EST

Some of their fans once tried to sue them because the concert they saw was so truly terrible

CreedRocks.com | 9/25/2009, 10:05 pm EST

Nickelback = Creed
Jonas Brothers = Creed
may sell records but they suck

A | 9/26/2009, 3:55 pm EST

We went to the concert last night in Houston! Sooooooooooo glad that they are back! I cannot talk today as I have lost my voice. I have seen them a few times and they have never dissapointed me. My 14 year old daughter and 16 year old nephew went with us and they had a BLAST!!!
I am not the “Young Chick” that that went to every concert around anymore……but I have seen MANY throughout the years and I can definitely say that even if you DON’T like Creed (which I personally find impossible) you CANNOT deny the talent. There are SOOOO many bands that we “love”, yet are so dissapointed when we see them live because they don’t have the studio there to “tweak” the sound. Creed doesn’t need the studio tweaking. They are just as good live as they are on your radio!!! I used to love Guns N Roses …..until I saw them live. UGHHHHH…..they SUCKED live!
To Creed: Ignore the numnuts that leave negative comments! Your sellout crowds and ticket sales speak for themselves!!!
We are really glad to see you back and can’t wait for more!!!

Beth | 10/2/2009, 11:28 am EST

Went to see them in Irvine, CA. It was well worth the 6-7 hour drive! They are better than ever!

lovin' Creed | 10/2/2009, 11:37 pm EST

We went to see Creed at Irvine. Was definitely worth the drive and the show was great. We saw them 10 years ago and believe me they HAVE come full circle. Staind was great as the opening band was ok. Does anyone know who that first band was? We didn’t catch their name. Rock on Creed!

lovin' Creed | 10/3/2009, 5:14 pm EST

Just kidding the irvine show sucked a$$.

David Letterman | 10/6/2009, 1:26 am EST

Creed does a great impression of a rock band.

CreedRocks.com | 10/7/2009, 8:33 am EST

What are the HATERS goin do when the new album comes out and CREED is everywhere again?

CreedRocks.com | 10/7/2009, 10:54 am EST

They are a cancer to Rock n Roll

Stephanie | 10/11/2009, 10:34 pm EST

I had gone to the opening show Thursday in Pittsburgh, and what a show, they brought tears to my eyes, I am so glad to see those guys back together, they were awesome back then and Thursday nights performance was absolutely breathtaking, I love those guys always have always will. God bless you all for coming back and much continued success,, come back to burgettstown again and again, I am secretly in loveeee with Scott Stapp, and when he took his shirt off, I just absolutely melted. You guys are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mary | 10/13/2009, 3:17 pm EST

Wow this band is just okay. I got free tickets to watch them and there lead singer cannot sing well at all. He struggles and is so phoney bologne with his antics on stage. I left the show early and am not buying there new CD

Creed stinks | 10/13/2009, 10:33 pm EST

just sayin’

Man are these men wannabes! | 10/14/2009, 1:49 pm EST

What posers and there new song sucks @ss. I heard a couple of others and they are filler songs to make an album and hopefully get a bunch of losers to buy it thinking it will have some sort of quality like maybe there first CD. I’m done with Creed!

Johnny E. | 10/21/2009, 4:56 pm EST

Man these guys really lost it. Tremonti’s oversinging live sounds so local bandish. Stapp can’t sing anymore and tremonti sings ok but nothing special. I would not go watch these guys for free.

Creed sucks | 10/26/2009, 1:05 am EST

bad!

I love Boxing and music | 10/28/2009, 3:12 am EST

Also, look at all the people that are taking time out of their lives and commenting on the Creed article. It just proves that Creed is the best. The fans will make noise and the haters will make noise and it just means Creed is that great because they are relevent.

I love Boxing and music | 10/28/2009, 3:19 am EST

There is no denying Creed is thee most popular band these last 10 years. Which is why they have sold 35 mil for just 3 albums. People may be pesstimistic and say well selling albums doesn’t make them good, but I choose to be an optimistic fellow. The Beatles are the top selling band of all time. Do they suck? Of course not. Creed rocks. Haters get over.

hey | 10/28/2009, 6:07 pm EST

I love boxing and music shutup!

JUst Sayin | 10/29/2009, 2:47 am EST

People hate Creed because their infantile, derivative, boring music represents the absolute least-common denominator of modern rock (at least they did until Nickelback underbid them). This is music for people with no taste, no ear and I must imagine no stomach — for whenever I hear the growly-mewly voice of Mr. Stapp, my lunch threatens to come back up.

For a serious music critic to defend this garbage is akin to a serious food critic encouraging readers to give McDonald’s a try again with fresh taste buds. Actually, on second thought, to compare their music to the fare served at McDonald’s is to insult the latter; at least McDonald’s has an original idea from time to time, and does a few things well.

Give me a break. Creed is a joke, and not a funny one. I would have hoped they had enough to sense to remain a footnote.

Sanctuary | 10/29/2009, 3:55 am EST

Funny how AB fans always navigate to Creed articles and potty mouth their way into our souls. Not enough AB articles out there for you? Great job guys on another album that will no doubt go multi-platinum like the others! Good job Wind-Up Records!

Lu | 11/2/2009, 3:11 am EST

With Ahhhhms Waaaaahd Ohhhhpahn

fool can’t sing a lick

Todd | 11/2/2009, 2:44 pm EST

hate on haters, Creed is back!!

Gary | 11/3/2009, 3:26 pm EST

I have seen Bands such as Zepplin, Steppenwolf,Grand Funk,Pink Floyd, the list could go on. I saw Creed In Nashville this Oct. it was one of the best concerts I have ever seen since the late 60s. The new Cd is great I think. I have read some bad reviews. If you dont Like Creed dont listen. There is plenty of us that will.

can't everyone just get a long | 11/5/2009, 5:26 pm EST

First – have any of you liked a single rock band that didn’t have some association, at one time or another, with drugs, alcohol, sex or crime? Do you still like them? Second – have any of you known a band with a good ballad or a spiritually inspiring song who’s next track was completely sacrilegious? Maybe you’re the one who likes the sacrilegious shit or maybe you aren’t … if you don’t like it – don’t listen. As for getting in trouble and running to the bible … perhaps if more people did this the world would be a better place … it is what a person should do. It takes courage to do this in today’s society … but then maybe some of you don’t have any.
Since when is any one of you … or any one member of a band free from sin? And would you be denied a second chance … or would you fight for it? Would you want to be condemned or would you want some encouragement? Would you want the benefit of the doubt or would you have the strength to change with the world was against you? It takes humbleness, strength and stay to change in those odds. I say, give Stapp a chance … I know I would want one.
Since when is it a crime to sing with content versatility? Again … if you don’t like it- don’t listen
Good music is any music or lyrics that speak to my soul and that should hold true for anyone … I can love and hate tracks on the same album of any band … that is why we have iPods, PCs and DVD players so we can listen to only the tracks we like … so if you are soul-less go waste your time being angry and judgmental somewhere else.
I personally think both AB and Creed have some great talent to offer. Do I condone what Stapp has done in the past? No. Do I think he can change … If the apostle Paul can change from being a killer of Christians to one of Jesus’ best and closest friends … I can only hope.

Conan | 11/6/2009, 1:53 pm EST

I used to like them way back in the day. I came across them on the tonight show the other day. WOW stapp needs a backup singer baaaaad, and he just freakn overpowers stapp so much its sad. I’ve never seen a lead singer be out sung by a backup that much, even if he was a lead one time its just sad. I youtube them on regis for another weak song called rain. horrible too. If they can’t sound anything like there CD its a bunch of horsesh*t to think they are any good. yeah all bands have editing done in the studio but this just aint right. What a total embarrassment for them. they need to shut it down. IMO and I have the right to hate on here just like others on here have the right to be all up in on stapps junk.

Sam | 11/7/2009, 6:24 am EST

Wow people, Fans I’m right there with you, non fans fine its a shame, but to each their own and I can respect your intellect, decency and personal opinion. To the pathetic ignorant, annoying ass time wasting haters …God damn! the headache i just got from even attempting to read your oral fecal trash is mind blowing. Get a life …Don’t get a life ….utterly waste your life I don’t really give a flying Fuck just shut the fuck up! Shit you people are everywhere! See this is way I rarely post shit at all. OK now that that’s over with. these guys recently got through with one hell of a tour. I got to see them in concert when they came in September. They rocked the ever loving crap out of that place. Stapp sounded amazing his voice was all there, loud, fresh and he sang and preformed genuine and hard. ( the entire band did ) if you’ve actually gotten to see and hear what they can do now and are still whining and bitching that they in your opinion suck. then your the morons for continuing to “waste your time” on something you clam to dislike. You fucking hate them but your watching, hearing, or reviewing about them …….Maybe its just me but that doesn’t seem to make to much sense. Anyway Iv always been a huge fan of creed and always will be.

Mike | 11/8/2009, 1:38 am EST

Shut up Sam! you suck.

Tim Flores | 11/8/2009, 1:53 am EST

Yeah shut up Sam! Creed is horrible and you know it!

MusicLover | 11/8/2009, 2:33 pm EST

I bet you guys think people who pay hundreds of dollars to watch Celine Dion are crazy. I do think Brittney sings like she has a clamp on her nose. Rap gives me a headache. Lots of people I know won’t listen to the Rock music I listen to coz they like softer music. Lots of people spend big bucks to watch on Broadway. My point???? People have different tastes in music!!! Just because it’s “not your type of music” does NOT make it BAD music. That said, haters could do all they want, but it is what it is. People who like Creed will still like Creed; so stop whining already. They ARE good; that’s why jealous people take time to criticize; after all, people only bother throwing rocks at trees that have lots of fruits.

Anonymous | 11/10/2009, 12:31 am EST

New album is sick, better than anyone probably expected. Stapp’s voice needs rest, but the rest of the band brings it 150% every performance. They are back, and great. Deal with it…

Anonymous | 11/10/2009, 2:30 am EST

New album makes me want to throw up. They are back yes, and our poor ears have to deal with it!

Creed is terrible | 11/12/2009, 12:33 pm EST

I know i’m a hater!! whatever

Can I join the hate crowd??? | 11/12/2009, 6:55 pm EST

because I hate this band too

creed fan | 11/15/2009, 8:13 pm EST

There are two camps. The camp in which people simply enjoy music they hear regardless of it’s difficulty and there are camps that are drawn to bands that are more skill oriented. Just because a band is more skill oriented doesn’t make their band better. Sometimes the simplest music is put together so well that it is way more pleasing to the ear than some guy going up an down on his guitar the whole time. Obviously, if creed has sold 30 million albums they must be doing something right because people like them.

Smart guy | 11/18/2009, 2:13 pm EST

Dumb people by creed albums. There’s alot more dumb people than smart people in the world!!!!! about 30 million
