Michael Jackson’s Last Days: The Comeback That Never Was

7/22/09, 8:25 am EST

In the days just before his death, Michael Jackson was working harder than he ever had in hopes of staging “the greatest show on Earth” according to our latest cover story.

Claire Hoffman retraced the pop icon’s final moments for “The Last Days of Michael Jackson” in the latest issue of Rolling Stone, and found that Jackson was well aware of how the public came to perceive him in recent years and that he had fully dedicated himself to a comeback tour that he hoped would erase that perception.

“He wanted people to see his work and not just talk about his lifestyle,” AEG CEO Randy Phillips tells Hoffman in her cover story.

(Click for photos from Jackson’s remarkable life and career.)

He was also eager to finally clean up his finances and settle down in Las Vegas. “He was ready to stop living like a vagabond and settle down and earn money again,” Phillips tells Rolling Stone.

And those who were inside his final rehearsals say that the show he was prepared to mount may have actually succeeded on all fronts.

“He was so brilliant on stage,” tour director Kenny Ortega tells Hoffman. “I had goose bumps.”

“I turned to somebody and said, ‘This is amazing,’” adds Ken Ehrlich, the longtime Grammy Awards producer who sat in on rehearsals. “For so many years I have watched Chris Brown and Justin Timberlake and Usher and the Backstreet Boys and En Vogue all imitate Michael Jackson — and now here we were this many years later, and he was going to do it again. I got chills, literally. The hairs on the back of my neck were raised. Those are the moments you hope for.”

Claire Hoffman’s “The Last Days of Michael Jackson” can be found in Issue 1084, on newsstands now, and you can get the story behind her cover story in our exclusive video.

I have no doubt that this series of concerts would have been wonderful…then, the world would have remembered the real Michael, instead of the Michael that the media portrayed him to be…

Joy of life | 7/22/2009, 9:38 am EST

Thank you Claire for the article that you wrote on MJ life. You can see with your own eyes MJ was mr Mom. MJ life wasn’t private but his music will always be in your heart.

Don | 7/22/2009, 9:48 am EST

I too have heard from people that were inside rehearsals that Michael was indeed back to form. Sony would not have just paid 60 MIL for that footage if he were not spectacular. He would have succeded….My….what a shame.

Steve | 7/22/2009, 11:33 am EST

I agree with Don, Sony would not pay 60 million for a flop. Can’t wait to see it.

Steve | 7/22/2009, 11:35 am EST

“Cancer on Society” How do you work that out, he didn’t choose to be followed by media at every turn, thats why he hid his kids from the lime light. Think before you speak.

just a thought | 7/22/2009, 12:20 pm EST

Mr. Jackson is not really dead. he pull the greatest dissappearing act of all time. it was and is all a hoax.

Christine | 7/22/2009, 12:40 pm EST

So much wonderful moments in music he gave us, such an excellent artist in all ways, i cherish those moments i watched him performed growing up, such a sweet gentle person, loving father, wish the media would just stop and let him rest in peace.

Anonymous | 7/22/2009, 12:46 pm EST

Really? dedication to his art and family…then WHY not STOP the drugs FIRST!!!!!!!

Good | 7/22/2009, 1:47 pm EST

he made good music….but 5 albums in 3 decades????+ come on guys and not every damn song was good…..

Anonymous | 7/22/2009, 1:59 pm EST

I love that picture of Heath Ledger’s Joker on the ‘Hope and Ruin’ cover.

TO ALL OF YOU | 7/22/2009, 2:07 pm EST

Most of you here are criticizing Michael’s lifestyle but YOU DON’T KNOW SHIT BECAUSE EVERYTHING YOU THINK YOU KNOW IS CRAP YOUR READ so please SHUT THE F******* UP people like you bastards killed Michael Jackson, one of the rare pop stars who really tried to make a difference

Why? | 7/22/2009, 2:38 pm EST

Didn’t he lip sync these rehearsals? Must be easy to be “back in form” when you don’t have to sing.

Anonymous | 7/22/2009, 2:58 pm EST

people like you bastards killed Michael Jackson
——–
I didn’t. You must mean the Quack MD’s, “nurses”, “advisors”, “pharmacists”, etc., that Jackson hired and kept on the payroll? 50 pills a day? $30k a month to just one drug store? Surely you aren’t suggesting somebody held Jackson down and made him take 20 Xanax a day. Yeah, you’re in denial, you probably are.

glenda | 7/22/2009, 3:08 pm EST

when looking back on someone’s life it is sad to have mixed emotions as to who they really were. Michael was beyond the average entertainer, he was an icon. Yet, by his own personal choices as to his behavior with the boys left in his care; he stepped over a line. All the good he did was over-shadowed by this terrible wrong. Some mistakes follow us to our graves. Let Michael’s mistakes be buried with him. I say; “Let God be his judge” and just try to enbrace the “artist” not the “man in the mirror.

G-Love | 7/22/2009, 3:22 pm EST

MJ was great guys, let just leave him alone once for all. Being that type of celebrity might not be that easy perhaps, just think for a moment if you could handle all of that…

IRON SHEIK | 7/22/2009, 3:38 pm EST

The Michael Jackson is a very terrible lady. She talk against the Iron Sheik and Nicoli Volkoff at the Pontiac Silverdome. I will dig her up, put her in a Camel Clutch, and make her humble. She is not a beautiful woman like the lovely Elizabeth.

Jacko McHater | 7/22/2009, 3:45 pm EST

Are all of the loser maniacs who held vigil, and cried when Jackson died, going to be lining up for this stupid movie on opening night. I hope so, because I haven’t thrown rotten eggs at anybody in awhile.

R.I.P Joey Ramone | 7/22/2009, 4:02 pm EST

The Jackson cult can go from one stupid MJ pukefest to another. Like a nomadic tribe of retards. Like the Palestinians of lame celbrity worship. We can call them: The Jackoffs.

Iron Sheik Junior | 7/22/2009, 4:18 pm EST

Michael Jackson is a jabroni. Iron Sheik beat him and take his belt at the Madison Square Garden of New York City.

History Lesson | 7/22/2009, 4:27 pm EST

The Palestinians were there first, douche.

Michael Jackstein | 7/22/2009, 4:38 pm EST

The only thing that this hideous freak was dedicated to was writing Anti-Semitic songs, and ’sleeping’ with boys.

Cyn | 7/22/2009, 5:01 pm EST

I cannot believe all these people who leap at the chance to gloat over someone’s death. He was human, he made mistakes…but he left us an incredible legacy of music and memories. The rest…we don’t know enough about as outsiders to really comment upon. But I do hope there’s a special place in Hell for people who come to sites like this to gleefully dance on his grave. It won’t change anyone’s mind, Those who loved him, will. Those who didn’t, will remain adamant, too. But…that’s not the point of their poison, is it? RIP, Mike! You’re safe now. WE, on the other hand, still have to listen to this stuff!

MJ = OVERRATED | 7/22/2009, 5:23 pm EST

If MCA dies, hopefully not, his musical legacy will far outshine Michael Jackson’s. Sorry, but it’s true.

? | 7/22/2009, 5:28 pm EST

When does this issue hit newsstands?

To the accusers... | 7/22/2009, 5:32 pm EST

If you’re so sure of Michael being a pedophile, you must have some evidence to prove your case. If so, submit it to local law enforcement. If not, can you stop flooding the Internet with negative accusations about someone you’ve never met?

Shawn | 7/22/2009, 5:45 pm EST

Let’s not even think of MCA dying. I believe he will be alright. Long live Beastie Boys!!!

Anela | 7/22/2009, 5:51 pm EST

Michael Jackson is the greatest atrist known to man..I cant think of any artist that will ever come close to MJ!! EVER!! His voice, his music, his moves, his attitude, his personal obstacles, his unique family, his generosity with charities, Neverland, i can go on and on, Hate him or love him, there is still only one MJ!!

Anonymous | 7/22/2009, 5:58 pm EST

Love him or hate him, there’s still only one Roman Polanski!!!

Don | 7/22/2009, 6:03 pm EST

Cyn, Anela:

There are alot of freaks in the world. Just ignore these jealous boneheads.
MJ was a genius.

Huh? | 7/22/2009, 6:04 pm EST

“If MCA dies, hopefully not, his musical legacy will far outshine Michael Jackson’s. Sorry, but it’s true.”

So as long as MCA stays alive, MJ’s legacy is secure???

LPAT | 7/22/2009, 6:09 pm EST

Listen, MJ was the GREATEST ENTERTAINER OF ALL TIME – That’s not propaganda…That’s FACT. Now, all y’all haters up in here talking trash about MJ, then do me a favor…STOP READING ABOUT HIM. That seems to me that either you haters have a “secret” admiration for the man or an all-out obsession. If MJ meant nothing to you and if was “so whack” then, why are your READING and RESPONDING to articles about him.
In the words of MJ: “Beat it!”

Go check the Paul McCartney CitiField stories. THERE is REAL musical genius. MJ made some great pop songs, but PM was an actual musical genius. MJs ENTIRE catalog cannot equal the artistry of “Hey Jude” by itself. Not to mention PM writes his songs and can play all the instruments. MJ played what… kazoo maybe?

mary | 7/22/2009, 6:34 pm EST

Michael Jackson was so talented, unique, a creative genius…these types of creative individuals are not that prevalent in society… I am glad that you are focusing on his contributions to the entertainement industry. Not only that….he contributed millions of dollars to charities and was loved by the whole world not just here in America… he was an international star… the world recognized his great talent! He will be missed by so many…

laprofe63 | 7/22/2009, 6:49 pm EST

Rolling Stone Magazine: I almost bought the issue, but when you recycled a photo from the commemorative issue, I put it back. It is a great photo, definitely cover-worthy, but I already had a full page, color. Shame tho, you almost had me.

As to the rest of you: STEP AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER & GO GET A LIFE! Develop your own talent, seek your own inner genius and produce something other than BILE.

Kim | 7/22/2009, 6:50 pm EST

RE: Paul McCartney was more of a genius???? hmmmmm I beg to differ FIRSTLY paul was not entertaining at 10 yrs old nor could he dance !! MJ wrote and composed most of his music I stopped listening to Paul the beatles a long time ago but NEVER stopped listening to MJ music. He was the ultimate entertainer not to mention he was INNOCENT and a man who wanted world peace His comeback would have been HUGE TRAGIC his hangers on murdered him slowly they should all hang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

walter | 7/22/2009, 6:56 pm EST

michael jackson was so good and talented.

YES we get it.

He is not god to talk about him all day.

Triny | 7/22/2009, 7:34 pm EST

For those that are posting negative comments all over the internet about Michael Jackson…..if you’re so tired of hearing about him then why do you flock to this and other websites to read about him? You obviously have an obsession about the man. If you’re so sick of hearing about him then kindly ignore. This isn’t the place to put your militant rants.

I would hate to be any of you when it’s finally your time and you’re judged.

John | 7/22/2009, 7:49 pm EST

LMAO at the idiot who said MJ was the greatest “artist” ever. You need to get out more.

Jacob | 7/22/2009, 8:05 pm EST

That cover picture is supposed to be sad and tragic? I think it’s hysterical looking. With the Pepsi video, and all of these freaky looking pics, I gotta tell ya MJ is the comedian of the year.

A Real Man | 7/22/2009, 8:07 pm EST

MJ was an incubus who stole children in their sleep. He was subhuman garbage. I defecate on his grave

michael | 7/22/2009, 8:28 pm EST

please why must some of you attack the deceased so viciously? Michael’s contributions to society outnumber many individuals by far…. I hope that he is remembered for his music, dancing and charity. He will be missed by so many people as evidenced by the world response of his death! Please do not attack someone who meant a lot to so many people worldwide.

Halo | 7/22/2009, 8:42 pm EST

I’m going to get my plasma gun, and blast his dead ass into outer space.

Love MJJ | 7/22/2009, 8:45 pm EST

Some of you are disrespectful and hateful. If you don’t like to read about him, cut off your tv and look at the white wall. Michael Jackson is one off the blew Paul and MCA out of the water. and you haters get a life and look at yourself in the mirror

Jennifer | 7/22/2009, 8:47 pm EST

I really enjoyed the special commemorative issue for Michael Jackson. I’m sure there will be more in the future as more information and understanding slowly emerges. I loved reading again: Inside The Magical Kingdom by Gerri Hirshey! To be honest, I had hoped for an article on MJ that was more intellectually stimulating. The psychology etc. of MJ. There is a lot to talk about, and I find it frustrating that a lot of articles leave out MJ’s own words, views and beliefs. ( There are some recent, radio interviews and a really amazing speeche at Oxford that no one even mentions.) In this issue the big disappointment is the article: What Went Wrong by Brian Hiatt. I found it incredibly weak and lazy. Its filled with more than one fiction which made me question anything else he had to report on the subject. I’m terribly tired of reading old news that has already been proven false, as true again. Tabloid junk, especially on MJ, deserves to be researched and exposed for what it is. The public can handle and demands better journalism. If its weird and crazy great, just make sure its true! Its very scary what has happened with paparazzi. They are above the law and are not held accountable for the many lives they can, and have destroyed. I am truly freaked out by this! Its outrageous! A very ugly time indeed. Thank-you for reprinting some great articles.

jamie star | 7/22/2009, 8:55 pm EST

I will miss michael. It is sad and shameful what people are posting on here. Michael is one of the greatest entertainers and will always be. He crossed generations and musical genres. I can’t say the same for all singers. And for the one who said they wouldn’t shed a tear maybe there would be none for you! Thank you Rolling Stone!!!!!

U-DUMBASSES | 7/22/2009, 8:58 pm EST

Anyone who even attempts to compare Wacko Jacko to Paul McCartney is an ingorant bufoon. You should not post or even talk about music. You should just concentrate on the three R’s, and staying within the lines of your coloring books. You people have no idea what your talking about. You’re very, very stupid.

well, they were many singers before but they are not popular as Michael Jackson. Not too many fans before compared to Michael Jackson generations, We never had a singer-dancer liked Michael Jackson. We never hac an artistic, stylish, creative , dancer, singer liked Michael Jackson? There are more youth these new generations than before. There are more people who loved Michael Jackson dance and songs than any other singers before. There are more people in new generations than before. Elvis Presley was popular, but it’s not popular as Michael Jackson,. Beatles were bad singers, they were banned because of their behavior, ,In Beatles time too many drug addicts, too many criminals, too many robberies and they were races singers. they were banned in the USA before, they were in trouble in all over the world.

mj was a great talent with a tragic life. he had a terrible childhood with abusive parents. he became an adult who abused children, confusing that abuse with “love” of children. he had passed his peak as a recording artist but still had amazing popularity as a performing artist. no doubt he could have done a billion dollar year long world tour. he was a lonely person who abused drugs and died. we will all move on with our own lives.

Elvis was good,

Beatles were great
BUT Michael was and still si the greatest!!!!

LONG LIVE THE KING OF POP!

coachmaddog | 7/22/2009, 10:36 pm EST

The only Jackson that matters is Joe Jackson, the British star who did “Is she really going out with him?”

Brad F | 7/22/2009, 10:50 pm EST

The Beatles were the best band, the greatest recording artists ever. They never forgot about the music.

Michael was very good, for a time. But he was too hung up on being perceived as the King of Pop. He forgot about the music.

To even try to compare Michael to any other artist is useless. No other entertainer that has ever lived can even hold a candle to what Michael has achived. Michael invented all of what he is known for. His signature dance moves, and sound, and his persona in all. To some of us Michael was more than a celebrity or entertainer, he was a human. A tortured human. His soul was too gentle for this harsh and cruel world. I can’t believe there are people out there trying to get the last laugh. Al Sharpton said it best, There was nothing strange about Michael, he just had too many strange things to deal with. I hope that he is finally free from all of his worries and from all of the people that still…even in death try to keep him down. When people are being disrespectful I hope that they can remember that he was someone’s father, son, brtoher, and friend. There is a piece of Michael in all of us. He is magic

You haters make me sick. Leave the man alone. He’s gone and can’t defend himself. You close-minded people who only ate off of what the media fed you and criticized someone you never met before are what killed him. You can’t look beyond the “freak” that you guys label him as. This man was hurt and needed help that no one could give to him. Such an amazing talent gone to waste. It is just so sad. Thank god he can rest in peace now and be in a place he deserves where no one can verbally torture him anymore.

rina | 7/22/2009, 11:49 pm EST

we will never understand how it is to be Michael Jackson. so do not judge him. no one is perfect. just take a look at yourselves in the mirror!

Enough | 7/22/2009, 11:52 pm EST

It is real easy to make comments about someone or something that you have only read about. It is another to curse the person and make horrible comments about them. Since it is your opinion and it seems easy for you to make them sitting behind a pc…why don’t you make them public on your local tv station so the whole world can see you? Too bad it is far too late for you to make them while Michael Jackson was still alive.

David from McMinnville, OR | 7/22/2009, 11:58 pm EST

The loss of Michael Jackson rips a great gaping hole in our social fabric. I only hope that AEG will release the concert preparation without forcing me to mortgage my house to buy it.

I saw one of the comment from someone called a “Real Man”. He said he will do what on Micheal’s grave? You know, we do not know what you are because you are not human. You are a scump bag and a worst than what come out of you on the other side. What do you think a real man as you call yourself do? This is a man who is multi talented and cares about everyone especially children just like God Himself instructed. But scumbags like you take it and twist it around. He provides for so many charities and you so call “real man” what have you contributed to the world? I mean, what have you contributed to your next door neighbor or what charity have you helped. Now, who is the real man now? Tell me the description of a man? I will tell you. A man must be able to provide and leave the world a little better than when he came in and Micheal have done that. Tell us “real man”, what have you done? You silly, idiotic sac of scum.

Anonymous | 7/23/2009, 2:24 am EST

Rolling Stones have topped themselves (and at the same time burying their credibility forever) with such an obvious pandering puff piece. ALL reports on the days before his death show how half-hearted he was in preperation – he couldn’t live up to the expectations and there is no way the washed-up junkie could handle the physical requirements of the shows. Take a look at the lame footage they’ve offered up, he was merely a pathetic ghost of his former self fraily moving and lip-psynching to prerecorder music.
“Greatest show on earth’, what a joke! No doubt all the one-gloved freak sheeple out there will buy into the bollocks of how wonderful it “could have been”, but the rest of us grounded in reality know that he took the only option he had to keep an ounce of his completely eroded legacy intact.
Gutless cop-out by a self-bleeching, pill-popping kiddie-fiddler. What a joke – what a loser. Move on

AlAl | 7/23/2009, 2:35 am EST

Well those true mj fans can at least take solace in this: The public outpouring of grief far overshadowed the garbage accusations and tabloid gossip that dogged him throughout his career. He will be remembered as the greatest and not by the shit that the media dished on him. People should all be wary of media looking for a quick buck or trying to sway opinion. Not rolling stone though of course, they never over glorify individuals or spread political propaganda. “ahem”

Beverly | 7/23/2009, 3:15 am EST

It’s amazing how we can all criticize and judge someone whom we never meant. And it’s also very amazing how we build a person up only to tear them down. Michael Jackson was found “Not Guilty” by a jury of his peers and according to the U.S. Constitution a person is “Innocent” until proven guilty. Michael Jackson was found “Not Guilty” and unless you where in the room with him and the young man how in the world can you say for certain what happened. And I also think it’s very pathetic to continue to disrespect a person who is no longer here to defend themselves. For those that love Michael Jackson we will always know that he is “The King” of all music.

blue bird | 7/23/2009, 3:43 am EST

Michael brought hope and love to the world. Sadly he wasn’t armed for the fame he received, he couldn’t deal with his teen years and suffered many years onwards. May his soul rest in peace.

Internet is a blessing for the the freaks who desperately want to be heard whereas they have nothing to say. I can count a great number of them among you. Opinions based on gossips, the trash of information, craps screamed with anger instead of evidence and argument…

My opinion is that, freak or not, MJ’s musical legacy is undeniable. As Ken Ehrlich says, we’ve have spent the last decades trying to find an ersatz of M.Jackson’s genius, and we’re still searching. “5 albums in three decades” said someone earlier. That’s right, but four of them are masterpieces. 4 of 5!!! Challenge that. In 4 albums the guy created what radios broadcast everyday since then.

Even if he was a freak indeed, what does it have to do with his talent? Did he ever sing something like “f**k the kids”? Moreother: what genius doesn’t have had his own problems? James Brown beating up his wife, Mozart alcoholic, Elvis Prestley a drug addict, Kurt Cobain a drug addict, Jerry Lee Lewis an alcoholic who married his 13 year old cousin, Woody Allen who married his own adopted child, Pete Towsend, Johnny Cash, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Marvin Gaye, Eric Clapton, … Drug, Alcool, Sexual borderline behaviours, all those mad individuals we despise are the very genius we worship and try to reach.

So, freak or not, show a little respect, keep you crappy opinion for people who give a damn’ about what you think, which would be you, your dog and maybe your very holy mother. Think about it objectively before you right something. The guy you’re criticizing with such rage shall last much more than you will.

Malcolm | 7/23/2009, 6:22 am EST

I glad Beverley said that Michael was found not guilty. never beleived he was. I am amazed that a certain Republican Senator can get away with calling him a pevert and paedophile and blocking motion 600 declaring Michael a legend.
We don`t need a declaration to know he was a legend and just glad i have been able to listen nto his wonderful music most of my life….and still do listen.

It truly fascinates me how people comment and judge a celebrity’s life or personality when they have absolutely no idea about what is true. They are performers…..what we see in public and who they are at home are not the same. The truth about MJ’s musical greatness is not based on his lifestyle, any publicity antics, his changing appearance – it is in his record sales. Speaks for itself and is one fact in the sea of manic speculation and tabloid fodder that is an undisputed truth. In over 25 years since his Thriller album – no artist has achieved anything that surpassed what was his best work. Rest in peace MJ – you had a wonderful gift. Thanks for sharing it with the world – your music touched so many and always will.

MJ got ripped off… No carefree play in childhood, no golden years of elderhood, just a lifetime of work, work and more work. It’s time to let him and his story, rest. I’m not a fan of MJ, never saw him perform live, but I do love music. And I believe anybody who wants to do anything in music – writing, producing, engineering – needs to start by listening to Billie Jean… It’s been 25 years and that subtlety of that song still stops me in my tracks…

Marv | 7/23/2009, 10:45 am EST

Michael Jackson was on a mission and it would have been amazing. Fatherhood brought him unconditional, love and the focus he required to move on in life. He was committed to the tours even though they bumped them from 10 to 50. The end goal, it seems, was to gain financial security, immensely please his fans one last time, show the world what he was made of and settle down into a life afterward with his kids and his artistic creativity. What we lost cannot even be fathomed, he had talent we have never even been privy to. As Jermaine Jackson stated, he was a human being, a father, an uncle, a brother, a son. My heart hurts that he wasn’t able to complete his mission and that his children lost a remarkable father.

Dee | 7/23/2009, 10:51 am EST

Seriously, why do people have to use foul language? I personally loved MJ’s music and short films. I think it’s unfortunate to have lost him and all his talent. I also feel bad for the dancers who got their “break”, the chance of a life time to be able to dance with MJ on his final concert tour. I agree, there has been tons of coverage on him since his death, it almost seems redundant now. However, I can’t help but to watch every minute of it.

Lynda | 7/23/2009, 10:52 am EST

Look how they are spinning/lieing -Before he died we knew – He was only contracted to do 13 minutes per show, He had Dancing Doubles because he couldnt keep up, OF COURSE HE WAS going to 100% LIP SYNC every moment of every show… This guy was the biggest star at 25 years old and by 35 he was a complete hasbeen! Lip Syncing EVERY SINGLE Solo Career TV Moment isn’t skill. Stealing The Moonwalk isn’t a skill. Stealing or as our Rolling Stone writer likes to say “Imitate”.. Stealing basically every dance move you do from Jackie Wilson & James Brown isn’t a skill either! Plus his signature moment and move “The Moonwalk” was on American TV in 1979 on Soul Train! He was NOT the First Black Artist in Heavy Rotation on MTV either – Musical Youth & Prince were on before him. Prince had 2 music videos on the station before MJ had 1. Rolling Stone & Media lets really look at this guys “talent”.

Melissa | 7/23/2009, 10:56 am EST

So sad. He was such a truly brilliant performer.

Sheila W. | 7/23/2009, 11:34 am EST

Well said John Michael Penn! I couldn’t have said it better myself. Let’s respect Michael’s talents and leave his personal life out of it. We’ll never really know who Michael was and in the end, all that matters is his legacy.

I am amazed by all the comments i’ve read about mr. Jackson in the last couple of weeks.
I asume you all know him very well and spent loads of time in his presence..
Hey?

Murphy | 7/23/2009, 12:18 pm EST

I never saw the “freak” in Michael. All I ever saw was his loving, serene soul, his beautiful voice and his incomparable steps. Is love blind? Perhaps. But I’d rather be an appreciative fan than a venomous, soulless wretch, sitting in judgment of another human being. Do unto others, creeps.

M | 7/23/2009, 12:29 pm EST

First of all, I respect Rolling Stone as a magazine. I am not a regular subscriber but find they try to “keep it real”.
If the only information you have on Michael Jackson are the “facts” that are written in magazines and tabloids and other sensationalized media outlets, consider yourself led astray.
“Pro photographers”?? Come on, how about tabloid employees with cameras that thrive on gullible readers to make a living?
As for the comments regarding “stealing” dance moves; he openly gave credit and admitted where he received his influence, he then redefined the moves and made them his own, with their blessings and admiration. And lip sync – well, it was about the show overall. For performances that include a lot of dance moves, it is the norm in the industry. And there was enough “live” mike time in his performances to show he still could sing.
Seems to be a lot of misinformed, angry, hateful people out there that thrive on negativity.
Everyone’s opinion is welcome but foul language and spewing out venom on something you truly know little about is unnecessary. None of us will ever know the whole truthful story of Michael Jackson – one because he has passed away, two because it wouldn’t sell as well as controversy.

“…Michael Jackson was found “Not Guilty” by a jury of his peers…” If that were the case it would’ve been a jury consisting of: JarJar Binks, Edward Scissorhands, Willy Wonka, Roman Polanski,Beetlejuice (movie & Stern), Rip Taylor, Tiny Tim, The Golum, Fat Elvis, The Joker & Little Richard

Wow.. some one must be very closed to Mr Jackson knowing all his movement and activity fom middle east to vegas.Next they will say he paid photographers to create attention..some one must be so close to watch what MJ did to the kids or could be their omnkid who had ben molested,if not how can he be so sure??

Then again Prince doesnt have the original face..nose job, tatooed eye brow, eye liner, lipstick.Or maybe prince is not so popular.
I assume someone adore beatles and Elvis, since they were angelic role model musician?
Someone mus also be MJ personal doctor, bodygauard and nanny to certified that he was not sane and dangerous ,must be a well known music critic to kow that a song is not worth listening and asume other listener feel the same.
Its time to wake up and judge ourselve before we judge other people ,if it matter..

M | 7/23/2009, 1:31 pm EST

Anonymous – enough. If you so badly need attention, find another outlet. If nothing else, have some respect for the Rolling Stone Magazine.

Ugga Bugga | 7/23/2009, 1:44 pm EST

Michael Jackson was a washed-up idiot. A moron with the M.O. of a child molester. A truly sinister and nefarious animal. A macabre freak who was ugly, and unbearable to look at. He was a sideshow character on the grandest of stages. Can you imagine what that scene was like at it’s weirdest? It would have been too strange for Felinni.

Natalie | 7/23/2009, 2:01 pm EST

Although I’m not a big fan of Michael Jackson, I still find some of the comments left here by some people to be disturbingly heartless and ignorant.

For those who are labelling Michael Jackson as “freaky”, have you ever stopped to think what pushed this man to his madness? Has anyone look beyond the “freaky” face into the soul that was trampled over and over again? MJ has the heart of a child, which is not surprising, considered that he never had a chance to grow up. He has been living in the public eye since he was 5 years old and everyday is just rehearsing and performing. MJ may protray a “bad boy” on stage, but off stage, he is just a shy and fragile human being (if you listen to his interviews). In fact, he is gifted with a tender and compassionate heart which make him more vulnerable to attacks than most people.

Don’t you agree despite some cosmetic surgeries done, MJ looks just fine prior to the breaking out of the false child molestation accusations in 1993 against him? From 1993 onwards until the time of his death, one bad thing after another truly torn the man apart.

Instead of bashing Michael Jackson, why did no one mention that Evan Chandler, the father of Jordan Chandler, was out to “frame” MJ back in 1993 with the sole intention of “destroying” his career? I would call this Chandler guy freaky! And then there was the malicioius District Attorney Tom Sneddon whose sole agenda was to put MJ behind bars. That’s the ultimate freakiness! How about MJ’s father, Joe Jackson, who has reportedly abused MJ physically and calling him “ugly” when MJ was a child? Over the last 16 years, the majority of the mass media has been treating MJ in a very unfair manner, painting him in the worst light possible, in order to increase the “sensationalism” of their reporting. For someone who is meek and tender-hearted like MJ who only wants to love and be loved, can anyone imagine how all these things have crushed his soul and crumbled his world? His emotional pains were so great that he has to start to rely on drugs to get him through the days.

As for MJ’s lightening skin colour, for your information, he has been diagnosed with vitiligo disease since 1988, which causes him to lose the pigmentation in his skin and become sensitive to sunlight.

Please use your senses before you say anything.

Jewels | 7/23/2009, 2:38 pm EST

Thank you Natalie. Couldn’t of said it better myself. Ugga Bugga is another hate monger. You people make me sick. If you don’t like MJ why are you reading about his life and interferring with our last respects and destroying it for the rest of us who believe he is innocent. The media helped to build him up and put him down for being a little different. Along with his Dad the gold digger! What happened to being innocent B4 guilty?? Have we all succumbed to the idiots that write tabloid trash that overtakes the airwaves? Did anyone ever take the time to read and research his life B4 opening their mouths? His songs are about love and life and his poetry is the same. I think most of you are jealous of what he accomplished. He accomplished more in a few years than most of us would in a lifetime. So go away hate mongers and stop chatising and cruifying this poor gentle man. You don’t know the whole story and you never will!! Life sucks for you to be so ignorant!

It’s a wonder you can even spell since you claim to be mentally impaired. Who cares what you say or think people like you have no lives and probably treat their own family badly. I don’t normally waste my time with trash like you but you pissed me off. You’re a sad, pathetic, lonely, disgusting excuse for a human. You probably have no friends or anyone else to hassle so you come here and hide behind the computer spewing your hatred. If you don’t like MJ take a hike!! Go make someone elses life miserable. This is what our world has come too losers that don’t have anything else to do but act childish and spew hatred. Did your Mommy ignore you when you were young? Is that your problem? GO AWAY YOU HATE MONGER. Sorry MJ but I couldn’t let it go.

For, he does not deserve the privilege of passing through my bowels, so I will skip the middle man. Then, I will take his bones, and throw them in the garbage. That’s my to-do list.

You believe all the hype the media wants to dominate the airwaves with. Have you ever read anything MJ wrote? Probably not. Sure we the fans may be guilty of creating a bigger than life superstar but did it ever occur to you he earned it and deserved it? He didn’t deserve to be hounded by the press or idiots like you. Sounds like jealsously to me. He was an entertainer who tried to preserve his looks like most people these days. It’s called permanent makeup and a nose job. I have friends who’ve had nose jobs to I hound them. You hide behind the computer and spew hatred. GO AWAY AND PEDDLE YOUR NONSENSE SOMEPLACE ELSE. You probably have no friends to hassle so you come here and judge someone you don’t know or even care about. Sad world we live in nowadays.

James | 7/23/2009, 4:52 pm EST

Enough with The Media trying to rewrite history with this guy’s so called talent! Enough with the listing of people he influenced and no one ever bringing up he took from a bunch of people, he isn’t any better. The only difference is the media has decided to not bring up Sammy Davis Jr, Jackie Wilson, James Brown – all performers before Michael but you don’t see 24/7 coverage of the truth, Yes Michael Jackson wasn’t original either! Don’t bring up Usher, Justin or whoever and not finish the truth which is that yes and Michael wasn’t original either he took from those guys!!!! The Media with The Jacksons are trying to rewrite history and leave allot out! Now add he hasn’t really even performed for 15 years! From 11 to 30 years old he did perform. But whats after that? “Jacko Stunts” to keep his name in the paper and basically a solid 15 years of nothing! How are you considered the greatest entertainer ever, when you lip sync every major performance? Motown 25, Grammys, Super Bowl, MTV Awards all lip synced. Plus this new show was a tape recording from the History Tour. The lip sync track and stage show has just been repeated for well decades! He was only 50! He hasn’t done anything since he was basically about 35 years old! How is any of this amazing? What is the difference from any other lip sync dance act? What happened to Rolling Stone this is a jump the shark moment! Lets praise a guy who lip sync 100% of his major event performance.

justanothervoice | 7/23/2009, 10:30 pm EST

If the Internet has increased the ease and anonymity of communication, it has also certainly weakened inhibition and decorum. To think that Michael’s children and family have access to some of the putridity vomited here is reprehensible. Michael Jackson is no longer affected by what is said here be it positive or negative, but there are other innocents that most definitely will be since it can be said surely without contest that he was a son, brother, cousin, uncle, nephew and father. You do not hurt or help the dead with what you say, but the living. “De mortuis nil nisi bonum dicendum est”, do not speak ill of the dead. Salute to you Claire Hoffman and Rolling Stone.

You can admire entertainers, feel bad when they die….but we didn’t know these people…this mass worship of celebs has become a bonified mental illness in the world. He made some POP music…you didn’t KNOW him…for the past 20 years he’s became famous for being famous. Did you play his records over the past 15 years ? Course not, no one did, he had become famous for the circus of his life. You “love” him because he was the worlds most famous person and you for whatever reason have to fall in line and worship the FAMOUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. To LOVE someone you never met is mental illness.

With Los Angeles Police Department detectives weighing his claims, Chandler gave them a roadmap to Jackson’s below-the-waist geography, which, he said, includes distinctive “splotches” on his buttocks and one on his penis, “which is a light color similar to the color of his face.” The boy’s information was so precise, he even pinpointed where the splotch fell while Jackson’s penis was erect, the length of the performer’s pubic hair, and that he was circumcised.

It wasn’t long after law enforcement’s photo session that Jackson agreed to settle Chandler’s civil claim for north of $20 million.

Your entry includes a direct quote. Care to provide a source for it? Because from what I can see on Wikepedia – 1993 accusations – Doctors concluded that there were similarities between Chandler’s description and Michael “but it was not a definitive match” and that “Included in the inconsistencies was an inaccurate claim of circumcision”. The boys father was behind the criminal suit which was regarded as an extortion attempt. When asked about how the proceedings would affect his son the father replied “That’s irrelevant to me…It will be a massacre if I don’t get what I want”. The father even attempted an additional suit for 60 million three years later which was thrown out by the courts.

Michael Jackson was surrounded by and taken down by the parasites that pretended to be his friends. All sponging off of “the Golden Goose”, some in the evilest of ways. Well the money train has ended for all you losers. YOU also played a huge part in his fatal addiction along with Dr. Murray.

I love Michael. I miss him so much. I saw the interview about this magazine. I honestly can tell you it sadden me when they discribed him at hospital .I am very upset they mention his nose.No one needed to know that. They should have kept that private. Not even in his death will you leave him alone. That was private why did you have to say he had a prostetic nose why??We loved him so much no matter what. But that was so wrong to put that in the magazine. The problem is that that is what you that heard about it not what you saw.How can you put that in the magazine.I am so hurt that someone would do that to him.He didn’t want anyone to know. That was personal.I am very sad that you people would do that to this poor man.He is the greatest for always. But it realy hurts still to know that anyone would talk about his personal things he didn’t anyone to know. How could you???

SG | 7/24/2009, 2:18 pm EST

Anonymous and the others who are bashing MJ, I can’t understand why you are spending so much time here, not to mention that you (Annonymous)by your own admission have been reading loads of news on MJ for weeks. If you don’t like someone then don’t associate with them by any means. You all obviously have some kind of a hidden like for Michael. I don’t like what the Son of Sam did, nor Charlie Manson and I do not entertain discussions concerning them. Why should I give them any play? It only keeps their name in the limelight. So, my advice to you is to leave this blog and other blogs about Michael Jackson alone. We get it, you don’t care for him…or do you really deep down inside? Many of us fans did not know him personally, and neither did you, so you can’t possibly pass judgement. I think anyone who spends this much time trying to tear down and belittle a “dead” person is heartless and possibly has a mental illness. Go away, you cannot and will not change the minds of his fans…so get over it, and leave it alone. Find something that really interests you.

zigger78 | 7/24/2009, 2:40 pm EST

I think that there was too much distance between his cosmic identity and the earthly representation of his soul. He needed spiritual guidance, but instead chose for drugs. This meant that the connection between his earthly representation and his cosmic identity was forever lost. When his spirit actually crossed the border (the next level, so to speak) his karma was shut off from his spiritual identity. Quite sad, from a cosmic perspective. Not even time can heal these wounds.

Renewed Admirer | 7/24/2009, 2:41 pm EST

For the past 15 years, I paid little attention to Michael Jackson- as a musician or as a celebrity- because it seemed there was very little he had to offer that was positive in either whelms. Yet the recent coverage since his death has reminded me that when this man was at the top of his game, he was simply better than anyone else. And upon discovering his later work, I also realized musically he never faded. I guess it was just hard to hear the music under the roar of all the other hype, either created by himself or by the press. Many of his later works were angrier, sadder, and more paranoid than before, but they feel true and honest to what the artist was going through at the time. I can honestly say in the last month since his death, I am a renewed admirer of his talent. In the end, that’s what his legacy will be. Great music always lives on. He never stopped making it, we just stopped listening. Mr. Jackson, I am listening again.

perillaq | 7/24/2009, 2:45 pm EST

Zigger, maybe that explains why people have seen his spirit in some places. What a wonderful explanation, but is there any way that we can help his soul to find peace? Does anybody have a suggestion? Will it hurt him when we play his music?

FIGI57 | 7/24/2009, 2:47 pm EST

ALL YOU HATERS SHOULD ALL GO TO HELL!@!!!!THE DEVIL IS WAITING FOR YOU!!SO GO ON NOW!!!LEAVE MICHAEL JACKSON REST IN PEACE ALREADY!! HE WAS A WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING!!!!YOU IGNORANT MORANS!

Zigger78 | 7/24/2009, 2:52 pm EST

I think it will defintely inhibit the process of apeasement of his soul, when his music is played on all the airwaves. The music was a product of the earthly pains his soul experienced. It seems uncosmic and quite selfish to prolong the manifestation of his earthly entity, just for our won amusement. All the attention for his spirit contributed to his untimely death. But this seems to be how society works. His soul needs a lot of praying and silence.

perillaq | 7/24/2009, 2:54 pm EST

I used to play his music a couple of hours a day. But now I see that did not help him. I will try to cut down on it, and ask for forgiveness. I am so sorry I never realised that…

OFF THE WALL was his biggest album. That is a classic. THRILLER is hyped pseudopop and rock. I stopped listening to MJ after that…

exjehova | 7/24/2009, 4:26 pm EST

MJ was a victim of his upbringing in a religious sect. Many people with the same background have severe psychological problems. Lots of suicide and violence. It is time for legislation to outlow sects and defend the rights of human beings. Children are to most vulnerable. They should be protected, they have no choice.

prochristianity2010 | 7/24/2009, 4:31 pm EST

Mr. Jackson is a symbol of the degredation of the American society. This started in the 1950’s with the likes of E. Presley. Since the promiscuity and all kinds of sinful behaviour was promoted by the entertainment industry, because it sold records. The american society is in a state of permanent decline. We should return to Jesus and the Lord and read the bible. But I will pray for Mr. Jacksons’s soul as I did for Elvis Presley and Clinton.

I give up…..I still can’t fathom what you people found so lovable about Michael…he was a cute kid, is this the image you keep in your minds when you think of him ? Because the post Thriller MJ was onnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeee uber-creepy, unbalanced dude. His sad 3-ring circus of hangers on – Spoon Benders, Self Help Gurus, Webster ! Slimy dermatologists, Liz Fookin’ Taylor. Really, tell me, what traits did you find so lovable ? Don’t say he tried to change the world, please ! He recorded the icky Man in the Mirror, that doesn’t make him Ghandi. Ok, you liked him as a performer, but what personality traits did you find so irresistable that your lives are shattered by his death ? It mystifies me, it really does. Creeping around with surgical masks that match his goofy outfits ? That did it for you ? The tragic dismantling of his face ? Tell me why you feel so attached to him, really, i’d like to hear.

I find much of what i’ve read here deeply disturbing… How can people hate and be so disgraced by a human who they’ve never met and and never knew, or thought they may have known throughreading and watching the news etc? Only those involved in his close personal life know who he truly was so who are we all to pass judgement? Its a modern day crucifiction your taking part in! Its cruel! So what if you didn’t like him?… be humain and let those who saw something more in this man than you can or did greive their loss and celebrate the life of THEIR hero in peace instead of teasing and trying to raise reaction and debate, Just a little empathy and sympathy is all it takes people.

Jackson was the KING of DOPE!! Either stuff him or bury him!! Enough is enough!! HE IS DEAD!!!!

GMB | 7/24/2009, 7:05 pm EST

I think Michael Jackson was a remarkable entertainer, and wonderful humanitarian. He reached people of all ages, and races. He gave to charities all over the world, and I think he should be remembered for that. Those who make fun of him, you have an opinion of him and that is fine, but its very disrespectful to broadcast it for everyone to see. Michael is and always will be the best entertainer that ever was. He has broke down barriers, and continues to do so even after death. May god bless him. I wish the haters and media would just leave him alone.

Lolo | 7/24/2009, 7:15 pm EST

If MJ had not died, he would be doing whatever possible to keep shocking the world. MJ is the only one to blame for his misfortunes. He put himself in situations that caused him a lot of grief and pain. Hate the player, not the game…

brainnee1 | 7/24/2009, 7:30 pm EST

MJ was greater then elvis, beatles and whoever name you want to mention…MJ was murdered and the truth will be revealed…he was a true entertainer so to all you haters…get over it

reconman | 7/24/2009, 8:02 pm EST

The inevitability of the result of a tortured soul is the escape to a different plane of existance. The early life of MJ was full of negative influence and physical abuse that obviously yearned for escape which was provided through the early success and road trips which removed him from the source of his pain. A damage young soul leaves no room for the formation of a well adjusted adult unless true love intervenes; and that did not happen for him. I believe MJ was a soul that could not continue on this plane of existence so he left. Wish him well and be done with it.This is probably the most peace he has had since he was 11 years old. THINK ABOUT IT.

Aussie Observer… | 7/24/2009, 9:18 pm EST

To read everyones comments here is just plain silly… the couple that I did read however, seem quite angry and nasty in content, as for the religious notes etc. It’s really sad that you see religion as your saviour… you badmouth your own country, when from what I saw recently when in the U.S is that everywhere there is middle america, with conservative views and conservative clothing and possibly even ideals… You are a lucky country and if you get the possibility to step outside of your comfort zones go travel yourselves for those who haven’t… become worldly and not insular… as for the Michael saga, it will go on for quite some time… as that is the nature of the beast, he was with us for a long time and it will go on for much longer, as in death celebrity is heightened… it would be nice for him to RIP but don’t think that is going to be possibly… Is a shame that such a legend is no longer with us… the world… Peace out…

LR | 7/24/2009, 9:21 pm EST

Long live the King of Pop!

Forever in our hearts… Gone too soon, but in a much better place free of the ugliness that I’ve read here.

None of us are perfect, so until we are, let’s reserve judgment on others.

MJ said it best… “Just because you read it in a magazine, or see it on the TV screen…don’t make it factual.”

The media will continue to report anything to get ratings, whether or not true. It still surprises me the things people will do for money!

Thank you MJ for your gift to the world….King of Pop FOREVER!

jstin Burke | 7/24/2009, 9:44 pm EST

Michael had no life he was force to be twenty at five years old. He loved all kids because at heart he was a kid. Someone saw his Innocent’s with children and used it against him.His brothers hated to see him go no more pay checks for them I guess they will all write books about Michael now they have to get a real job. Before any body says’s any thing bad about him they need to go to were ever they live and clean out their closets. If the Devil sees this he can be first in line to kiss Michael’s Rose’s Red A##

Time | 7/24/2009, 11:01 pm EST

Michael was Naïve, and before he realised it the damage was done. but its a normal human condition. but for him to think for one moment that others would look at him as an equal, or just a regular guy. he was two, a father, uncle, brother and son. and then he was this monster, Michael Jackson.

soapdiva | 7/24/2009, 11:32 pm EST

Weegie, you’re hilarious.

Nein | 7/25/2009, 12:04 am EST

I don’t believe Michael Jackson was a monster. I don’t believe he was a pedophile. I don’t believe he ever sexually molested a child. Michael Jackson was one of the most misunderstood men that have ever lived. And the misunderstanding is partly of his own doing, and partly because of his life as an Artist. Michael was an Artist before and above being anything else. And he lived his art. He challenged convention in his music and in his way of life. His message was that adults need to be closer to children in actions as well as words. He sought to challenge social norms and conventions about the relationships adults have with children and he was deeply and personally motivated to do it because of his own extreme experience as a child. Like any committed artist, he didn’t shy away because of standards, or conventions. He did what he thought was right, and he totally pushed boundaries and limits. It was radical though, and many would not accept it because the relationship between adults and children is a sensitive area. His shy and trusting nature, excessive wealth, and controversial lifestyle made him a huge target for people’s contempt and efforts at exploitation.

Rocker | 7/25/2009, 1:56 am EST

All you MJ fans who think the evil media hounded him unfairly while he was alive, you ain’t seen nothing yet. The vultures haven’t even begun to pick at his bones. Every sordid detail of his personal life is soon to see the light of day. There were major hit jobs done on Elvis and John Lennon after their deaths, but it’s gonna be ten times worse for poor Micheal.

Weegie | 7/25/2009, 2:08 am EST

Because of course you are one of “us”, the unwashed nobodies of the world, and therefore are included in “Your lives are nothing compared to whatever silly celeb you’re championing” And to see people who dare to be non-celebs as being useless….well, that’s your and the publics problem right there…this idiotic worship of fame. John | 7/25/2009, 10:32 am EST

I’d say the solid Proof Michael Jackson was a pedophile was in the 2003 Trial.. Towards the end of the trial – Tom Sneddon wanted to bring in the errect penis description photos! Michael Jackson Lawyers fought for them to NOT come into the trial. WHY?? Why would you not want something that didnt match, if they didnt match??? Plus The Judge said – he wasn’t going to allow them in because they would taint this victim’s case. CASE CLOSED… The Judge saw the photos – saw they matched and didnt want them to come into this trial because this victim’s case would be secondary and the jury would convict because he would be seen clearly as a pedophile! IF THE PHOTOS DIDN’T MATCH – Tom Sneddon wouldnt have fought to get that evidence IN & MJ’s Lawyer WOULDN’T have fought to KEEP those photos out! THE “Smoking Gun” is Those Penis Description Photos! Very simple – Snedon fought to get in – MJ Fought to Keep out – The Judge saw the evidence and said Keep Out. You don’t want to keep something out if they didnt match! Case Closed.

Abacab | 7/25/2009, 10:47 am EST

MJ was a great entertainer as well as groundbreaking. But what everybody fails to remember is he was HUMAN, not a God.
It just proves over and over that earthly success and riches will not bring happiness or invincibility.
It brought him the opposite.
Never envy or be jealous of what someone else has. We all have the same problems, only the zero’s are different.

DakotaFleming | 7/25/2009, 2:28 pm EST

He was an insomniac who got hooked on meds with docs enabling him.Other than that he was an awesome entertainer/humanitarian who wanted to heal the world but couldnt do it by himself. He NEVER touched children inappropriatly .Rest in Peace Michal Joseph Jackson. You are loved

Sorry, but we’re living a danger world, even someone dead you don’t either the true or false you speak ill like that? I just admire something, even my grandfather lives far away of the city heard about Michael, not mention the children of all ages, I think there is something impressed to them and his music became more popular that you mention american country music, is it wrong to do your particular stile? you don’t to dare as perfect, you never be famous otherwise we should hear many good and bad of you. Let’s have mind and not mouth only!

Chad | 7/25/2009, 3:57 pm EST

For the idiots trying to say he was guilty, you need to pick up a copy of Michael Jackson Conspiracy by Aphrodite Jones. And, you don’t know if Michael Jackson was a drug addict. In fact, if you all had been through what he had been through, you’d be taking painkillers as well. Also, being a “drug addict” doesn’t necessarily mean that you’ll do illegal things. Wow, some of you post without thinking.

Morning Angel | 7/25/2009, 4:19 pm EST

Michael was an angel sent to earth !! He was the guardian angel of children, a childlike cherub sent here to protect all the children of the earth ! Like when he dangled Blanket over a 5 story balcony, Blankets head wrapped in a towel, his legs frantically kicking as he sensed he was about to be dropped to his death. Trauma that will affect him for the rest of his life. Michael smiling and laughing…. MJ was a GOD !!!!!!! ;)

De Pock | 7/25/2009, 4:36 pm EST

MJ was around the bend nuts….someone should have stepped in and 5150′d him and had him held for observation. Now we see along with the severe mental illness he was a hard core drug addict. I remember when I heard he had his first child and thought, “Good GOD, someone needs to get that baby away from him”. As it turned out he had 2 more kids and it was worse than I even expected. Kids dragged around the world wearing bizzare Mardi Gras masks, MJ holding them from other kids, staggering around his mansions in a drug stupor. Doctors feeding him drugs, IV’s…man ! Imagine all the darkness these kids saw ? He wasn’t cute and childlike at some point, he was tragically mentally ill and in need of help. People are projecting what they want to see on him now that he’s died, he wasn’t an innocent angel, he lead a very very dark and troubled life. Fame has killed many many people, becoming the most famous person in the world was obviously too much for him to handle. His family at some point should have stepped in like Britneys did and try and get him the help he so obviously was in need of. And a grown man having a serial need to be around 12 year old boys IS a mental and personality disorder. Whatever he did or didn’t do with those boys the parents shouldn’t have been blinded by his fame and kept their boys away from him, it’s basic common sense. You dont drop off your 12 year old boy to “play” with a 40 year old man for weeks on end, jeez……….

Media as judge | 7/25/2009, 6:54 pm EST

And who should have been Mr. Jackson’s conservator, de Pock? His father? In addition to ‘Michael Jackson Conspiracy’ by Aphrodite Jones mentioned earlier by Chad (which Ms. Jones had to self-publish as no one in the medium of publishing would touch it – for obvious reasons once you read it), have a look at ‘Was Michael Jackson Framed?’ by Mary A. Fischer, published in GC in 1994, which speaks to the ‘93 allegations. If you can stomach it past the second page I’d be surprised. Bottom line: reporters, publishers, tabloids, had a HELL of a lot riding on the destruction of this man’s life. ‘The Rise and Fall of’ movies, books – had all been in the works before the ‘95 trial even got underway. RIP Mr. Jackson.

Media as judge | 7/25/2009, 6:56 pm EST

Sorry – meant 2005 trial, not ‘95.

yeah i said it | 7/25/2009, 7:36 pm EST

i just wanna say that all the media’s bullying on micheal is for the simple fact that…he black! elvis was no angel, marilyn monroe either, i know that elvis died from a drug overdose, and marilyn im not sure but i think so too, but the media treats them with respect after death and still puts them on covers 30 years later, along with endless tributes. mike was a HUMAN BEING and the media attacking him and not stopping even unto death is despicable! he gave the most money to charity out of all celebrities EVER! all he ever wanted was a little respect and kindness jsut like he lavished on everyone he met…but the media never talks about that aspect, not they just wanna talk about how weird he was….give him a break! he suffered trememdously in life, tremendously! it just breaks my heart the way hes portrayed. i cant watch news that degrade him…i just cant.. RIP mike, I love u forever

Cute57 | 7/25/2009, 7:47 pm EST

That was uncalled for to talk about him after his death. Who gave this woman the right to talk about his personal looks after death. How dare you.?? I hope you have a concious “CLAIRE” that was very wrong to write about him as you did. No one had to know he didn’t have a nose but prosteric. How dare you? I hope you could sleep at night lady. You are a terrible person. That was private and you had no right to let the world know about that!!!!You are very cruel. and you have the nerve to say you grew up with his music. You hipocrit!! You are a very nasty terrible person , letting the public know of what he looked like after death. You were not even there. How do you know they din’t lie to you?? HUH??. Anything for a story right? You foolish woman.I have no respect for you or that jerk at ET that talked about it. He said we heard”"” yeah heard but didn’t see, and if you did see it with his or your own eyes you both should have kept your big mouths shut!! You are very disrespectful people.I can’t stand you people at all. I hope you both rot in hell.!!!

De Pock | 7/25/2009, 7:49 pm EST

Why do you people get so upset when it comes to MJ ? Did you know him ? Did you hang out with him and develop a close friendship with him ? Psychologists think people were drawn to him because people need to feel they’re lives have meaning…. and attaching yourself to a mega famous person you somehow live his glamorous life with him. You didn’t, you’re you, i’m me, we don’t KNOW these celebs, our lives don’t connect with theirs in any way. And why do you people try to make MJ ordinary in your minds ? Explain away all his VERY extreme quirks ? What’s your excuse for the baby dangling ? We watched a 15 year public breakdown from this sad, broken man. The trial proved hs was obviously severely mentally ill, a ghost, blank eyed, wearing pajamas. MJ loved the tabloids, he famously sold that pic of himself in the oxygen chamber to them along with the stipulation that they use the word “weird” in the article. Reading silly stories ina tabloid doesn’t break a person dear. Brangelina would be in a state mental facility if it did.

I don’t post on these blogs but I had to address the person who said that MJ was targeted because he was “black.” Now, I’m a fan of his but that is a stretch isn’t it?? MJ was human and like all people(no matter what color) make mistakes. It’s sad that unlike the rest of us, he was watched under a microscope. Let’s leave race out of this one shall we?? By the way, to the MJ fans like me….I don’t let these “haters” get to me. MJ is with the Lord now where nobody can hurt him. I feel that the Lord saw he had enough pain and gave him peace. Let them talk their “trash” they will have to account to the “maker” someday for spiting such vile regarding the dead. No matter if it’s MJ or the person next door. People who have been brought up “right” let the dead RIP! MJ, I know you are resting in the arms of the angels. Thank you for your gift of music…

(MYFOX NATIONAL) – Michael Jackson reportedly wore a prosthetic nose and it is now missing as his body lies in a Los Angeles morgue, according to the New York Post .

The Post cites a story in Rolling Stone magazine, due to hit newsstands Friday, that reports people who have seen Jackson’s body say there is now a dark hole surrounded by bits of cartilage on Jackson’s face.
Good God, what a freak, lol. He was also bald as an egg and wore a bad wig…..lol…classic !

Hah. Wow. Really now?

Haha@ at everyone who talks crap about a dead person.

Not cool.

Whats done is done. Its in the past. It can’t be fixed. Talking crap most certainly will not help the situation any. He can’t fix his mistakes now so why must we bring up everything? Just let it go because it doesn’t really matter that much anymore.

Michael’s music will live on. Michael fans both new and old will always be loyal to him. Some of you are commenting as if you spent time with him and if you know what all addicts do and you want to lump everyone who spend time with kids, pedophiles. Seems to me some of you might need some help. Speak for yourselves. If you have never lived in another person shoes. Shut up. Michael was hurt soul who made some very bad decisions and like most people we live and learn rather it is the easy way or the hard way.

im 22, i loved, love, and will love MJ.
MJ was human, he made mistakes like everyone else, and i do relate to mj not because i knew him or beacuse he was a super star or whatever, but because he was brutally harmed by others just because he was diferent(every time we act different from the pack, we are critizised and mocked), because he still cared about pain in the world, children and everything god created and today its being destroyed. Poor MJ doomed by his childish innocense as if that was a bad thing. His death made me realized that we do need to change not because he died but beacause we are doing to ourselves. RIP MJ his legacy will live forever (and ill make shure that my future children and my children’s children know about the man who tried to make a world a better place with his music and love).

Esquire 6-26-09 | 7/26/2009, 1:24 am EST

Not a big MJ guy — never was — but after listening to the nostalgia orgies of the past twenty-four hours, I’m reminded that art can matter. That the stuff of great artists — their songs, their paintings, their books — becomes a part of our lives, and that whether you’re talking about the first time you saw the “Thriller” video or the first time you tried to moonwalk, you’re not really talking about Michael Jackson. You’re talking about yourself. The art is just a marker, allowing each of us to find our way back to some earlier, happier, more carefree version of ourselves. — Richard Dorment

Weegie | 7/26/2009, 1:29 am EST

Reading these posts and seeing MJ’s fans on TV crying in the streets has made me finally figure out his appeal – He was the King of the Insane. Troubled people must see a kindred soul in MJ’s staggering lunacy. It’s all I can figure. His fans are kind of a clean cut version of Marilyn Manson’s fans, but instead of wearing black t-shirts and eye-liner you wear Disney t-shirts and khaki shorts. Rest in Peace oh Godly unbalanced one !!!

Esquire 6-26-09 | 7/26/2009, 1:35 am EST

When he died, it came as a shock, revealing that in our hearts part of us was still rooting for him, unwilling to believe that he was actually a frail 50-year-old man, that the innocent mastery of the voice that sang “I Want You Back” was still undiminished beneath the painful painted cheekbones. And that’s how good he was — after all that, despite everything that is small within us, we still believed. — John H. Richardson

Esquire 6-26-09 | 7/26/2009, 1:38 am EST

In a time when reality stars bare all and celebrity sex tapes are common, Jackson was uncommonly opaque, both literally and figuratively. His private world will forever remain shadowed in conjecture.

carole.lassus71@free.fr | 7/26/2009, 3:47 am EST

Michael Jackson was a great artist and a wonderful man. People took advantage of him. The tabloids humiliated him and to a certain extent are responsible for his death.
Some people misunderstood him but Michael was a genuine man who just loved children and who thought that children were trustworthy… many adults betrayed him in his life!
I just want magazines not to spread ridiculous and disgusting rumors about him, since he’s no longer there to defend himself..Let him rest in peace.

Michael Jackson’s death was a shocking piece of news to me. And from all indications, he was getting ready for one last “holy shit” moment before settling down with his wonderful kids in Vegas for a while. It’s amazing that MJ’s death is being compared to Elvis and Princess Diana, and in some ways it’s a delicate one. Both Elvis and Diana were plagued with the media making fun of them and trying to dig in to their lives. This led to Elvis’s overdose and that fateful night in Paris where a motorcycle chased down Di’s car whose driver was drunken into that bridge. Now we have Michael Joesph Jackson, whom was breeded for stardom by father Joe and from the fateful “Pepsi” incident of 1984 onward, the media became MJ’s wasps. And before MJ could shut em all up for a while, the wasps finally stung him and killed him. So, we have lost an icon before he could rise again from the hells the mainstream AND alternative press put him in. Both the Mainstream AND Tabloids should be ashamed of themselves and need to apologize for, literally, sucking out MJ’s soul during those weeks in 2005. And whenever I hear that they need to mix in his problems with his trimuphs, I wanna shoot the screen. God bless you Michael and may the gods and angels bless you during your stay up there. RIP Michael Joesph Jackson…

Does anyone stop to think a mom and dad lost a son, brothers and stisters lost one of their own and sons and a daughter lost their father? Yes we lost an “icon” but Ithink a family lost someone more than any of us will ever know and that “my friends” we will ever know”

Dalindra | 7/26/2009, 5:03 am EST

My sincere condolences to all of those who loved and appreciated him. He was a great entertainer and a wonderful charitable giver. His talent and philanthropy will be greatly missed. I wish his children the best of lives and hope that they get the best possible love and care as they continue on without their beloved father.
I, too, hope the release of the concert footage will be affordably priced and stand as a lasting memorial to his talent.
I continue to feel bad that he was never happy with his own body and that he had to turn to mutilation and drugs to try to remedy what he percieved as imperfection and the rest of us would have loved regardless.
Rest in peace.

Look at how that scumbag Harvey Levin talks about Michael Jackson every night. He’s got no room to talk. What did he contribute to the world except that silly note at the end of his circus show ‘i’m a lawyer” and who cares. Enough about that bunch and all the scum that works for Michael including Micah Brando they are all responsible for getting Michael his drugs and keeping it a secret, when they could have helped him stop taking them. We will never know, but thank God for the wonderful talent of Michael Jackson. Rest In Peace

let’s see here. How many of you have been beaten as a child or told you were so ugly or not had a childhood at all and worked all the time. I didn’t think any of you could even relate or concept that kind of life style. The truth is there will never be another MJ. The people that distroyed him were the people that never bothered to listen to who he really was no thanks to Diane Diamond or the parents of the children that got mad at him and wanted a piece of him will I guess that got it. How sad You kids need to read his bio or Unmasked and find out some thing to help you see the person he was inside.

I get really sad as a Michael Jackson fan, i love all music, but Michael had it all, he was perfection, his voice, his sounds, the way he moved, his intentions to be the best at all, his love for innocence and wonderment, for trying to scape from the worlds reality, he created his own world of hapiness and it last ed for a while, at least i know he was happy at times, it was sad how they crusified him in 2003, Michael was just believing in the reality world by doing a new tour and death just takes him away, i believe a person as special as Michael was not the kind like the common likes, he was vulnerable, he was so consternated, only forgetin the pain with the help of any prescriptions drugs, to find peace, the world is crazy, Michael was too vulnerable to succed in this times, but i would have loved Michael being less naive and not giving that interview to bashir, bashir make Michael look like nothing he was, Michael’s life was ruined by this family of money hunters greedy people, i know, they know they ruined Michael’s life, i would have prefer Michael living alone in his own world at Neverland, were everything at least in Michael’s eyes was fun, calle him inmature, he loved childhood, he would be alive now, he would be doing what was his dream, he once said that at age 60 he would be behind the scenes directing, he loved entertainment cause he felt entertainment make people’s life better, he himself was happy by only watching dvd’s he adored simple fun, but people just couldnt and still cant believe he was just a little child inside of a mans body, but he was a golden mine for those who wanted money, Michael was a money making machine, but that machine had a heart and feelings, he couldnt take it anymore, i confess i always said to myself, why is that with all of his talent he doesnt wanna make more money, why is that other celebrities are making money and he was saying he would never tour again?, he did said that many times, i dont know who convince him for doing these shows, but Michael was in not psychological state of mind to endure all the media aroud him, always speculating, media said “he is a wacko, he’s a perv, he would not be able” you think he didnt knew all those comments, he knew it all, the drugs make him not think about it, and he was not at physical state either, i regret i always said to myself that he was a man that was wasting his talent, i was wrong, he wasnt, he was just trying to be himself at Neverland, in the only way he was able too, may not be your way, but you the one reading this are not Michael Jackson, Rip Michael

Vanessa | 7/26/2009, 5:25 pm EST

One more thing Michael i read today, and i dont believe everything i read, but in this case i did cause it was a message a friend of him got recorded, Michael wanted to be the first in the pop world to go to the moon, see???, he loved wonderment, he was like a dreamer, really believing he would be able, (this ideas were all before the trial tha make him depresed and kill most of his spirit), he was a dreamer, may be a child man, he was ambitious when coming to be the best at wonderment, he didnt care how much money he would loose, he just wanted to be as he always said vissionary, he was curious, like he was always learning as far as creativity and goodness was, and developing great ideas to make a more happy world, he really believed that, (i wish he hadnt), see he was not a common artist, he wanted to live, he wanted happiness, but reality is more sadness then happiness and many many many people had been particularly cruel at him, i dont know why, but i feel some people are really enjoying he is death, is that pathetic? of course

oh haters, im sorry | 7/26/2009, 6:03 pm EST

say whatever you want, u know, u are just dirty minds, average people, ur lives are so disgusting that ur only fun is to be happy cause a genius/goodhearted is dead, u wish Michael Jackson was all those disgusting things u say, u just want to feel less guilty for your own prefabricated maps of boys in a bed having sex, your own dirty thoughts, but Michael was not average like you haters, he was special, he was pure (do you know what purety means????)and you are just trash, human trash, what have you achived in your lives??? oh yes i know what that is, is becoming happy for someone honorable has died, i always say its better to live a shorter time then to live 100 years in poor dignity, Michael was not all the BS you claim(u will not understand this cause in your minds is all about a boy and sex, i mean, whos the pervert?), Michael was vulnerable to the pain, genius were always out of touch, but they had good hearts, they were gratefull, they were gifts to life to delight(nothing like you), i understand your hate haters, i give u my hand, cause all that happiness you show is real and that is the real sad part of you, may the karma have mercy results on you, and btw, its easy to go to another place like a garden, a forest, go to a place with your girlfrind/boyfriend, or with friends, or with family, but i guess, u know? just not reading Michael Jackson articles, u know?, just an advice, from my good heart to you.
Michael will live forever and ever, for he is a legend, and very few are blessed with that gift. RIP MJ

Once you understand the things people will say to sell magazines, it becomes easier to see through all the lies which are passed off as credible stories.

MJ said it best… “Just because you read it in a magazine, or see it on the TV screen…don’t make it factual.”

I would encourage people to boycott tabloid style reporting and instead see the real truth that was MJ, an inspiration for positive change all around the world and a hero to so many people from all walks of life….

that kind of legacy never dies.

He knows what he did, God knows what he did.

weegie | 7/27/2009, 12:32 pm EST

Mike wasn’t even the best act of the 80’s……Springsteen was better, Prince is 1,000 times more talented than Mike was, next person who says Mike was, “The greatest musician of all time”…I’m gonna punch in the back of the neck, he didn’t even play an instrument, Prince plays every instrument on every album. Prince is fun eccentric, Mike was beyong loony eccentric. The Replacements, Husker Du, The Pogues, Talking Heads, even Cyndi Lauper was better than Mike in his 80’s prime. I get the feeling Mike draws the 40 something overweight virgin female crowd like Clay Aiken and that dude that just won AI. Women aren’t threatened sexually by MJ’s asexual persona and thus find him harmless and can pretend they lust for a man. And the old “He was famous, what have you done with your life” argument is ridiculous as always, you goofballs forget YOU also are in this non-famous category along with the “nobodies”….ya didn’t think of that did ya ? And actually 98 % of people aren’t child molseters, so right there 98 % of people have lead a better life than MJ ;)

Beth | 7/27/2009, 2:37 pm EST

Elvis was 1 Million Times better. Why? Because he sang live! Why does the press not bring up that Michael Jackson lip synced most of his career. Elvis was a drug addict, he was 200lbs overweight, he forgot the words to songs. But he is still 1 Million Times better then MJ because Elvis’s last shows were sang live. This MJ concert was going to be a trainwreck! He had “dancing body doubles”, he was using the lip sync track from the History tour. The stage show was the same show he used since Ronald Reagan was President! We have had 1 Bush, 8 years of Clinton, 8 years of a second Bush & 6 months of Obama! That tells you how OVER Michael Jackson was! I do have to say I did see a TV Guide person start to tell the truth about MJ and his “false icon/talent” last night! Thank You!

Beth | 7/27/2009, 2:52 pm EST

Honestly hasn’t Michael Jackson been “musically dead” for 10 years? He hasn’t even put anything out new and Invincible was a BOMB! It cost $65 Million to make & promote and it only sold 5 million copies worldwide when the album cost it’s full price. No, lets not count the record sales like fans like to do now when the album was in the $1 barrel since 5 months after it came out! Of course people will buy something for $1 or two. You can pad those sales which you fans did by buying 10 copies for the price of 1 normal priced cd. Ive seen that posted on MJ message boards! To help MJ not have a bust record, But again musically Michael Jackson has been dead for 15 – 20 years. Really 4 albums in 20 years? Its not like he was doing anything musically of interest in the last 10 years! How are you missing him? What has he done in the last decade musically? Releasing greatest hits packages isnt something you do if you have talent. Special edition cd’s, greatest hits cd’s, number ones, collectors edition cd’s, etc etc. Its all junk! You can make your own cd song choices with a MP3 ripper – so basically you bought the same songs for a cd cover???

Beth | 7/27/2009, 3:00 pm EST

Should Britney Spears be considered “the greatest ever” she Lip Syncs 100% of her concerts too. Michael Jackson hasnt performed a 100% live concert since 1987. How can you be considered even average if you rarely perform and or release albums and when you do, you Lip Sync 100% of a 3 hour show for 2 decades?

Cindy McGuire | 7/27/2009, 3:14 pm EST

I read all the things that people have written about Michael, and I am shocked to see all the sheep who follow all the gossip about someone they’d never met.Well,I can tell you from personal experience with Michael.I met him in 1987,while working as a Ride Operator at an amusement park.I have held hands with him, shared secrets and some very common interests in antiques, favorite colors, animals, people, children and our philosophies on parenting(which were very similar),laughed with him,and cried alongside him. After my shift ended,I had to go home, but I told him how to find me,and he did.He showed up that night at my mothers’ home where I was living at the time, and when she found out who he was,she wasn’t afraid of him,she was desperately afraid of all the media because of negative people like the ones I’ve seen here.He then said,”Well, then come live with me.” I said,”Michael,we only just met today.” He just laughed and said,”So,that’s ok.We’ll spend time getting to know each other. It’ll be fun.” I tried all night long to go to him,but was blocked by my mother who kept slamming into my room every ten minutes. He was still waiting outside in his limo, with his driver, the next morning, waiting for me to leave with him, when my mother threatened to call social services on me,since I was a single mother of a little girl at the time, and she would also bring drama into his life,to prevent us from being together. He and I clicked on so many levels. You all have no idea the depth of that man’s loving heart, his great sense of humor, his strength, and the true sound of his voice. And he smelled like a dream sent from heaven to me. He laughed when I stepped very close to him to breathe him in. I held his attention, and my mother destroyed that. He was so fearful of being hurt, mobbed, and ridiculed. And all because he was famous and everybody always liked to believe what they read and hear, rather than just getting to know him first. So in closing, you can’t believe 80 percent of what you read, and only about half of what you hear. He was all man,and was willing to take on the role of being a father figure to my then,5 year old daughter. I will love and miss him forever. His death has left a permanent hole in my heart that I don’t think will ever mend.

Stardice | 7/27/2009, 4:46 pm EST

I love him so much I grew up with his music and felt his pain when people lie about him, he wrote songs about his pain like “Will you be there” and “Stranger in Moscow”. Then he was murdered here are the reasons I say this.
Michael Jackson was MURDERED
Michael’s sercurity camera’a recorded his death and IT WAS STOLEN. The evidence was cleaned up before cops came to investigate.
Michael’s shady Doctor Dr. Murray hid as soon as he died to avoid questions.Fresh needle marks on his neck shows someone killed him.
Body was cold 3 hours long dead when medics arrived.

Caution in words... Tracy | 7/27/2009, 6:00 pm EST

First to “Freak City”

Your description was exactly that of someone I know that has been fighting and will soon lose their battle with cancer, a young girl. No matter how someone does come across their physical appearance, watch what you say because others read it. My own daughter has battled cancer for 7+ years.

For my own fan or not fan of Michael, that doesn’t matter.

The fact is everyone that is here in the comment section either has come here out of curiousity or to put feed back for some reason.

Words can either hurt, heal or be neutral. Rarely do they have no
effect. And remember, kids are able to read whatever is on the internet because most kids are better equipped to be on the internet than their parents.

For all I know, “Freak City” is a child.

I didn’t take the time to read through all the comments. I came here via AC360’s Blog, didn’t think I would end up on this type of a comment section but after reading that comment, I had to post something.

Everyone’s life effects others. Take the negative and turn it into something positive in your own life.

Final words in the italien article -on internet-about conspiracy against MJ:
MJ died one week before leaving USA.After all previous ( since the years 84- 85 onwars when he bought Sony ATV cataloge and especially after Bad era)
conspiracy against him, the danger that will get up again even greater than before like he always new how to do it, afer all the attacts on him in the past years, by mass- media and ecc, he was this time finaly and brutaly stopped.
There will be no new musical invention era, no new music sounds, no new great artisty in video musical production which always was MJ signature. There will be no His return in grand stile, no thank you MJ after all attacks and grief we gave you , there wiil be no definite demostration of falsity of diffused news from mass- media ed of their non-credibility, there will be no demostration that an alternative in culture of total control of discographic etichetes is possible, there will be no benefical humanitarian donations by MJ, there is no more MJ to guard his own property and catalog Sony-ATV. For fans there will be no new MJ dreams to discover , He will no longer send a messages of love, peace and compassion to all mankind. The multinazional coorporation sistem is save now, no other alternative will be shown to a global public. The only message which will continue to florish will be the stile of gangsta-rap, based on coloured machines, womens as objects, money, arms, emphasizing ghettos and criminal culture, and forces of invasion, that is what some tight group of persons which control the mass- media wants
to be diffused.
Therefore we appel to all good hearted people to SAY tHIS IS IS ENOUGH nand pray every night at cca 11.30 pm for MJ AND ALL THE TRUTH ABOUT HIM TO COME OUT TO GLOBAL LEVEL and that all evil forces which were over years destroying him will be stopped and that his murder will not be invane.Let us unite in thinking that MJ sacrifice is also our WAKE UP.

GLAD MJ'S DEAD | 7/27/2009, 7:16 pm EST

A qoute from MJ…”Eww, girls are icky…”

Rosana | 7/27/2009, 8:13 pm EST

After death of MJ the world will never be the same again.
1984-85, MJ buys catalog Sony ATV( which today – with no working- brings cca 150.000.000,00 per year. Many people kill for much less money.
That time MJ also become a humanitarian on a global level( like project USA for Africa). At that time also starts attacks and giornalistic disinformation ( like false info.regarding his skin whitening problem due to vitiligo and lupus, plastic chiurgies ecc). From Bad era onwards MJ starts critisizing mass media which invents falsivity agains Him and are not focusing on real problems of mankind, like hunger, poverty, injustice, wars. Mr. Murtock, the owner of english Sun, which invented lots of false stories which were diffused to other mass- media and also owner of Fox News, televisionwhich is extremely hostile towards MJ. But success of MJ is not demished and nor is his humanitarien work and his social messages, but in 1993 came out a false accusation of child molesting which brings to MJ a deep wound and sign a strong mark in his cariere( his wish to enter nel film industry is not fulfiled thus he become depressive).
MJ is getting up again, regadles of continuous media attacks( like ugly insuations regarding his marriage to Presley and using a play back at his concerts- all others artist are using, but no word of them.
In 2001 MJ argues with Sony and Sony boycott Invincible..ecc.video Unbrecable with Mel Gibson is never realised.MJ is opposing Sony and theirs total control of discographic etichettes also at London talk 15.06.2002. In 2003 Martin Basher makes a documentary Living with MJ where Bashir also gives hateful and harmful comments on MJ. This comments are than strumented by other media in a way to make MJ apper as a monster. If one carefuly listens words of MJ and see contradocumentary Take Two
will clearly understand all manupolation of media and lack of any sound evidence ( like Bashir himselves admitted after death of MJ)From this episode in 2003 comes second attack and MJ is again wrongly accused by Thomas Sueddan( the same man as in year 93)Sueddan went even to Australia to look for young boys as a testimony, but at the end he had only few ex- employed staff as a testimony, the one who lost their jobs becouse they were stealing at Neverland. In 2005 recognised as not guilty. In 2006 was discovered an attempt by his present advicers and coorporates to unite advocates,
sales man and creditors against MJ to bankrot. At the end 2006 MJ denounces his financial staff Bernstein, Fox, Whitman, Goldman and Sloan, becouse they worked for their own gain and they were stealing 2,5 millions per year, they did not conclude payments requested by MJ, they employed persons with MJ money without his autorazition and were signing deals in the MJ name without his aknowledgement.
In 2006 MJ also forms his own etichette discographic with name Michael Jakson.
In 2008 MJ and Bain meet AEG, 2009 MJ employs again Dileo and annunces concerts. He is in great health condition, is not dependent on drugs and is enthuastic about proggets of staging again in front of his fans and for the first time
also in front of his children.
Some tendencies to destroy him again didn’t work well. Period of personal crisis was behind.
And than follows a sudden death of MJ .
Who is gaining financialy and for who is MJ more worth death than alive, this is the questions wich all fans should be asking themselves and boycoting this evil deed by not buying anything which is Sony and AEG with its cooperators selling on MJ behalf and all fans should be demanding back the money for a piece of paper- ticket , which costed AEG only about 1 dollar and was sold for much much more, especialy front seats. Fans should not support this evil work and should understand why MJ had to die and hwo and why murdered him?
And justice AND RESPECT to MJ should finaly be presented!

Rosana | 7/27/2009, 8:43 pm EST

Professionally Michael died at the perfect time, right before he was going to be exposed as a hasbeen. Now everyone is shifting their minds back a few decades – He was going to get terrible reviews of this new concert! If you watch his 2001 concerts in nyc. They needed to edited both concerts into one to hide he couldn’t dance as well anymore. Watch the Billie Jean performance – the microphone goes from being in his hand to not, then back into his hand all through the performance! They edited both concerts second by second into one concert because he was over! That was 8 years ago!! Now add more pills, more drugs, age & being 110 lbs.

How can he pretend in every interview to be “child like” and peter pan, but when you actually get to the bedroom, the room he kept saying it was ok for children to sleep in with him. There was 100’s of Porn Material? Please explain how this is a wonderful thing? Sharing your bed with a 13 year old boy and in this room it is unsafe because it had XXX material everywhere00000000000000000000 000000000000000000000000000000 0000000

WOW…Now we know that you are the one who supply the PORN MATERIAL,since you describe it in details. You probably share a bed with him too, since you know where he kept.No wonder you are so mad now hes gone,no supply no $$ and miss the bed!!

All I wonna say is those 2 people who have negative things to say should not make comments. It’s not hard to let the late king of pop rest in peace. He tried and he tried really hard for people to see that hae was a good person but some people just couldn’t see that, his music will live on forever and i’m sure all his fans will remember him he was simply the best!!!!!!!! rest in peace MJ!

leona | 7/28/2009, 12:05 pm EST

panther dance sealed it for me. It makes him an artist who will be remembered forever, he was unique. John Landis confirmed that the panther dance was entirely from Jackson’s mind which was brillant musically, artistically, and will not be matched by anyone any time soon.

MJ IS TOTALLY AWESOME! | 7/28/2009, 12:33 pm EST

Yes, Leona. I agree. Panther Dance was not only a pivotal moment in michael jackson’s career, but dare I say, all of Human history. Only eclipsed by the birth of reason, and landing on the moon. Yes, that’s how important Panther Dance is. In fact, I witnessed a woman rise out of her wheelchair just to do the Panther Dance.

MJ SUX | 7/28/2009, 12:36 pm EST

His music was for dummies…

Er | 7/28/2009, 12:36 pm EST

No Spy Camera, not much of a chance Beth shared his bed since MJ only had 12 year old boys in his bed. He even kicked them out when they reached puberty and had nothing to do with them afterwards. It was common knowledge he had tons of porn in his bedroom, google “MJ porn” and you can read it. Most likely he used the heterosexual porn for the boys, knowing they were most likely heterosexual and would like to see straight porn. The gay porn was more hidden away, most likely for MJ’s private viewing time. A grown man having an impulse to be with 12 year old boys every second of every day is a massive mental illness and personality disorder. The kids parents are really to blame, becoming pimps blinded by fame who would drop their kids of at Neverland for weeks at a time or letting MJ sleep and live at their homes, MJ and the families sons holed up for weeks at a time in the room. Complete madness. He was a very very sick man who needed intense psychotherapy and help.

Here’s to Michael Jackson !! (Glug glug glug). Micheal Jackson went 8′6″, 460 ! Michael Jackson invented The Wheel and Soft Soap ! Here’s to Michael Jackson ! (Glug glug glug). Michael Jackson could fly…my and my wife rode on his back to Bali for a free trip. Michael Jackson ended the Civil War, he had a dance off with General Lee and defeated him ! Here’s to Michael Jackson ! (Glug glug glug).

To all the people that are commenting stating that michael was going to revieled as a hasbeen, was in need of serious pyshcological help, was a peadophile! You know NOTHING! all you are is a perfect example of how the masses are manipulated by the media! If the papers and TV said it, it must be true! Seriously get a miond of your own you lifeless, worthless zombies! Bottom line is that Michael Jackson had something that many people will never have pure natural talent! That is why so many people slag him off, because they are jealous that they will go on living pretty meaningless lives, bringing nothing to the world and will only be remembered by a few people! Unfortunatley it was this talent and the fame that came with it that contributed to MJ’s early demise! Here’s an idea for those who still seem hellbent on attacking Michael jackson, if you dont like him, dont read about him, dont leave negative comments! There is enough negativity in the world without you zombies filling it with more unnecessary negativity! Oh yeah and you know why you just cant help but read about MJ? Because he is fascinating, a true wonder of the world, and you read about him because the world is full of mediocore entertainers who will never achieve anything like he did! Rest in peace Michael, Thank you for the inspiration! F**k the press, michael your the best!!!!!

It’s a shame that he died when he did. It’s a shame that he had to see all of those little boys grow up, and hit the wall at age 15. I bet Wacko really loved Daniel Radcliff, before he had the gall to grow up!

betty | 7/28/2009, 2:20 pm EST

pretty mad how a heterosexual man can get into trouble just because of the media. I wonder whether the media are fully aware of their power.

Gina | 7/28/2009, 2:28 pm EST

National Media, Rolling Stone & Over Hyping Celebrities… Please understand you are not fooling anyone with your hype of MJ. We all can tell the guy had barely any talent, every clip being shown was from 25 years ago and I dont think anyone falling for thinking someone lip syncing is something major! I know you want to push him as a icon, but musically he never went past 1982 and he just kept repeating it! He was no more then a half-azz tribute act lip syncing and repeating what was once interesting.

Weegie | 7/28/2009, 3:12 pm EST

A “heterosexual man” Betty ? Oh God ! You are a comic genius ! My God ! My sides are aching from the laughter !

It’s also hilarious that readers of Rolling Stone are demonising somebody for becoming addicted to prescription medication, if he was a rockstar who died of a smack overdose you’d all be saying the opposite. Pathetic people.

What I can’t fathom is the way people can foolishly worship a celebrity;any celebrity. Yes, MJ was a talented pop singer, but I have read comments saying he was sent to heal the world or he was angel, and even comments comparing him to Jesus Christ. WTF! What killed MJ is I think he actually believed that crap.

lisa | 7/29/2009, 12:05 am EST

RIP michael jackson ….all you mj haters are extremely confused. i bet you all of the artists whose music you are enjoying and listening to right now were mostly influenced by michael himself. Also, there’s no real evidence that he was a pedophile, so quit making up stuff that you don’t really know about. But there is a lot of evidence that he was the greatest and most successful entertainer and a humanitarian known for giving to the most charities. And I notice that MJ haters are extremely rude and they never provide any valid argument against michael. They just say outrageous things that just makes the internet such an uncomfortable and aggressive atmosphere.

NANA | 7/29/2009, 12:53 am EST

TO THE JACKSON FAMILY. MICHAEL WAS A ONE OF A KIND MAN HE WAS LOVING AND CARING. DAY BY DAY LIFE GOES ON AS GOD COMES DOWN TO TACK ONE MORE CHILD TO A HOME OF EVERYTHING THAT IS RIGHT. After MJ found that vessel to carry someone else’s children, he was asked what he was going to name the new little kid. He said if it was a girl he was going to name it Princess Michele. And, if it was a boy, he was going to have sex with it.

Tracy | 7/29/2009, 1:40 pm EST

“Freak City”

Had you read what I had written previously, there was no mention that Michael himself battled cancer, the mention was that what you described his features as were very descriptive of someone I know and others fighting cancer and other tragic diseases. If you feel it so necessary to come on here and aire your feelings, you should think about who else might be reading this such as children for everyone who wants to put such sexually explicit messages and you who wants to put descriptions of people with facial features that are disfigured and baldness. What caught me about your statement still stands, you completely described a young girl I know currenly losing her battle to cancer. WORDS hurt and you should watch what you say. I guess that doesn’t matter to you. Why should it though?

That is all I have to say.

Janet Arvizo DCFS Interview Excerpts

Janet Arvizo: Michael is like a father to my children. He’s like family. Michael gives advice to my children and that is something that they have never had with their father. He loves them and I trust them with him.

Question: Were you aware that Gavin and Star slept in bed with Michael Jackson, according to the broadcast?

Janet Arvizo: My Children are never solely alone with Michael Jackson. There’s always someone around. When we go to Neverland, we’re always around people. Sometimes I stay in the visitor’s quarters, but mostly I am in the main house. Gavin, Star and Davellin have all been in Michael’s room. Yes, Gavin and Star have been with Michael on his bed watching TV. As to the allegations that they share a bed, it is no… I’m usually up walking around the house all night long. The room is open and there are no doors to shut. It makes me sick that someone accuses Michael of doing harm to my son and other children, when he has never been anything but wonderful… I was not aware that the taping with Mr. Bashir would be aired. We did not sign any consent to have my children on this interview.

Gavin Arvizo DCFS Interview Excerpts

Question: What is your relationship with Michael Jackson?

Gavin Arvizo: Michael has been like a father to me. He has been there for me. I met Michael about three years ago… Michael has been by my side through it all. I have gone to Neverland on several occasions. I like it there. You could be free and feel like there is no care in the world. When I go to Neverland, Star and Davellin are with me… Michael sends his staff to get my family and we have a ball… Since the airing of the Michael Jackson broadcast, I have not felt comfortable. I was in the gas station and some kids came up to me and asked if I was the boy on TV that slept with Michael Jackson. Everywhere we go there’s always people staring at us… Mr. Bashir did not get my consent from my mother. My mother thought this taping was private like the previous one.

Question: What happens when you spend the night at Neverland?

Gavin Arvizo: Usually when I visit Neverland, we eat, play video games, ride to the park and watch movies. Sometimes we have slumber parties and everyone sleeps in the room.

Question: Has anyone ever touched you in a way that was inappropriate?

Gavin Arvizo: [Visibly angered] People think that something’s happened sexually between Michael and I. That’s not true. Michael’s like a father to me and he has never done anything to me sexually. My mother has been there at Neverland with me and always comes in and out of the room to see how we are doing.

Question: Have you ever slept in a bed with Michael Jackson?

Gavin Arvizo: No, I’ve never slept in a bed with Michael Jackson. Sometimes my brother and I fall asleep in a bed with Michael Jackson. Sometimes my brother and I fall asleep on the bed with our pajamas or our clothes on. Everybody sleeps in Michael’s room together because it’s so big. Nothing has ever happened. My mother is always aware of what goes on in Neverland.

———— —————————— —————————— ——–

Star Arvizo DCFS Interview Excerpts

Question: What is your relationship with Michael Jackson?

Star Arvizo: Michael is like a father to me. He listens to me and gives me advice… When we go to Neverland, it makes me real happy. We have fun with Michael, we all give each other nicknames. My name is Blow Hole, like the fish…

Question: What happens when you spend the night at Neverland?

Star Arvizo: When we go to Neverland we usually ride to the park, play video games and watch movies. There’s always something to do. When we stay overnight at Neverland, sometimes we are in Michael’s room watching TV… We fall asleep with our pajamas or clothes on. My mother is there. When we are in Michael’s room, we are never left alone.

Question: Have you ever slept in a bed with Michael Jackson?

Star Arvizo: I have slept in Michael’s bed before, when I fell asleep after watching TV. No, I’ve never slept in the bed with Michael Jackson. If Michael is in the room, he will make a bed on the floor.

—————- —————————— —————————— —-

Davellin Arvizo DCFS Interview Excerpts

Question: What is your relationship with Michael Jackson?

Davellin Arvizo: [Teary eyed] Michael is like a father to all of us. He has provided us with guidance. He is so kind and loving… My mother has always been with us and I’ve never seen Michael do anything sexually inappropriate with Gavin or Star.

Question: What happens when you spend the night at Neverland?

Davellin Arvizo: When we go to Neverland, we go and relax. There’s so many things to do. We usually go to the media room and watch movies and eat candy. Most of the time I take a girlfriend with me to keep me company. We stay in the room down the hall in the main house. My mother always knows what’s going on when she is at Neverland with us.

All you Micheal Jackson worshipers are saying that anyone who believes the negative things being said about him is being manipulated by the media and is buying into the hype. Well, the MYTH of Saint Micheal was created by his clever manipulation of the media which was willing to play along while he was on top. You worship Micheal Jackson not just because he was a great entertainer, but because YOU believed the hype.

the porn was HIDDEN, now stop the whole child molestor thing, he was clearfy, that case was weak, and why it was weak??? cause it was a false allegation!!! why so much focus on this!!! are there here some pedophiles here who want a justification for their own actions, u know, for pedophiles is nice that a famous man was a pedophile, im suspectinsg on all these so focused on saying something that was PROVEN to be a LIE, why so obsessive?? Michael was not a common man, in his mind, and this i know it, he believe he could be children embassor, nothing related to sex, why cant u understand it, or is that U DONT WANT TO UNDERSTAND IT, of course, is the last statement

/// | 7/31/2009, 7:08 am EST

he didnt stole James Brown style, Jamnes was his idol, when Michael was young he did copy him, he admitted it, but as he was growing he found his own style, i mean Michael’s way of dance is so different from James(who was also a genius)and what about the voice style, Michael changed his voice style untill he perfected at around 1988 with song like Speed Demon, Smooth Criminal from this song hear snippets like teh one that he sings “Annie are you ok? so, Annie are you ok? are you ok Annie?, the way he started to sing was soo personal noone could copy him, if someone copys him now, u will defenetly say, oh, he’s copyng Michael Jackson, go hear songs like Who Is It, so incredibly unic, James is one of my idols, i confess i started to hear James music when i read Michael said it was his idol, Michael also quoted as his favorites albums almost every Stevie Wonder album, and some Bee Gees, he also said some of the Beatles songs where amazing and the he said that his favorite songs where Clair The Lune, The Afternoon Of A Faun and Arabesque by french classical composer Claude Debussy, Michael had what is called an absolute ear, so he heard all kinds of music, he was undeniable genius

I saw on TV Guide Channel a Rolling Stone Reporter trying to spin MJ wasn’t over, his stage show wasnt the sameone we have seen for 30 years. hmmmmm makes you wonder what Rolling Stone has in the works! Using Son's Name to get Drugs! | 8/1/2009, 9:20 am EST

Michael Jackson USING his OWN SON’s NAME to get DRUGS! That tells us all we need to know about the true man! He has used boys in the past, he has used everyone really – Corey Feldman on 9/11/01 was in the middle of a war zone! Michael didnt allow him to get on the family bus, even though Katherine was saying Corey has defended you! Corey is a good guy. Michael left Corey & his Wife there to basically die! Who knew while 9/11 was going on how big it was going to be? Michael is a user and all that sweet great “father image” he, his family is trying to put out there now with all the leaking of the Family Videos for Entertainment Tonight is all a joke! What is sad is his son when he gets older is going to be able to see the truth about his father USING HIM – using his name to score hardcore drugs. He is 2 faced. I can’t think anything lower then using your son’s name for scoring drugs. Man o Man Michael Jackson was a mess! A complete user. He is such a creepy dark man. Ignore the Public Relations Machine trying to spin the true man. Such a disgusting man. ALL those talks he had with his son pretending to be one way – but while this poor little guy trusting his father for everything behind it all he USED HIS OWN SON’s Name to get drugs! Disgusting!

LUV U MJ

KD | 8/2/2009, 2:14 pm EST

I think it’s important to say that there is no evidence that Michael used his son’s name to get drugs. The investigators simply put all aliases he used (for many purposes–hotel rooms, travel, etc.) on the search warrant so that they could seize files IF they had any of the alias names on them. There is no proof that Michael used his son’s name to procure drugs. It was simply the investigators covering all of their bases. The media sucks and so do people who believe everything they hear.

KD | 8/2/2009, 2:23 pm EST

I think it is important to state that there is no evidence that Jackson used his son’s name to get prescription drugs. The alias names listed on the search warrants were known aliases used by Jackson for many other reasons (hotel reservations, travel, etc.) and the investigators were covering all of their bases by listing all aliases so in case medical files were found with any of those names on them they could be seized. This does not mean that Jackson used his son’s name to procure drugs–again, irresponsible reporting on the media’s part. This is exactly what killed Michael–slander and hearsay. No wonder he numbed himself with drugs.

I’m soooo glad to see all of the positive comments coming from people that love him. I’m 38, I remember seeing him perform Billie Jean Liv on TV and have loved him ever since. I felt like part of my childhood died when he did. THANKS TO ALL THOSE EXPRESSING LOVE AND STICKING UP FOR THE ONE AND ONLY!!

I find it really sad that when MJ was alive, most (if not all) of the media attention focused ONLY on the negative befalling him. Now that he is gone, they can’t say enough of how magnificent a man he was. All the good he’s done, his amazing talent and how huge a heart he had.

I’m very bothered that this is what has become of our society. Sad, sad, sad!

Let MJ rest in peace finally! | 8/3/2009, 8:01 pm EST

Why do some people continue saying He is, he dances, his smile is adorable, he this and that… Sadly, unavoidably, regrettably Michael has already left this world… I hate that now many people are just beginning to come to realize what a good human being, what a great dancer he was…. However, when he was still with us, many people out there ridiculed him, repeated awful lies about him, accused him based on slandering media garbage!!!! This drives me crazy. Michael, I will always love you, and you will be in heart. Rest in peace.

Superénlo: Michael pasará a la historia como el Rey del Pop y por sus canciones con contenido social. Michael: descansa en la paz del señor. Amén.

History repeats the old conceits
The glib replies the same defeats
Keep your finger on important issues
With crocodile tears and a pocketful of tissues

I’m just an oily slick
In a windup world with a nervous tick
In a very fashionable hovel
I hang around dying to be tortured
You’ll never be alone in the bone orchard
This battle with the bottle is nothing so novel

So in this almost empty gin palace
Through a two-way looking glass
You see your Alice

You know she has no SINS
For all your jealousy
In a sense she still smiles very sweetly

Charged with insults and flattery
Her body moves with malice
Do you have to be so cruel to be callous

And now you find you fit this identikit completely
You say you have no secrets
then leave discreetly

I might make it California’s fault
Be locked in Geneva’s deepest vault
Just like the canals of Mars or the Great Barrier Reef
I come to you beyond belief

My hands were clammy and cunning
She’s been suitably stunning
But I know there’s not a hope in Hades
All the laddies cat call and wolf whistle
So-called gentlemen and ladies
Dog fight like rose and thistle

I’ve got a feeling
I’m going to get a lot of grief
Once this seemed so appealing
Now I am beyond belief

After some soul-searching, I too realize that I am actually relating to his pain and am HURTING for him having also suffered physical and emotional abuse as a child. The grief is overwhelming, the tears won’t stop. I will forever “Remember the Time”. Rest in eternal peace, Michael.

Someday | 8/4/2009, 8:21 pm EST

For all of those that hate Michael Jackson, why are you here on this post? For the brief satisfaction of seeing your opinion in print, to sway MJ fans to FINALLY “seeing things your way”, obtain momentary satisfaction from causing more grief? You’re despicable. Not because you hate Michael Jackson, you’re entitled to your view, but because you care nothing about those that could see your odius comments, like his children. They’ve done nothing to harm anyone and are truly vulnerable. Maybe someday, somewhere, somehow, IF you have kids (I truly HOPE not), and if you happen to DIE while trying to raise them, somebody, somewhere, somehow will come along and God forbid, add to their pain by vilifying their memories of you. But then on the other hand, given some of the posts I’ve seen, if you do have children, my pity is already with them. Michael has been tried, acquitted and passed on, no longer able to defend himself. Scrape together the last two compassionate cells in your body and keep your opinions at least worthy of a responsible adult.

Don't understand | 8/4/2009, 10:14 pm EST

I suppose Michael Jackson is deserving of the derision seen in quite a few posts here. I mean the AUDACITY of him to actually choose to have lupus and vitiligo (his dermatologist’s diagnoses, not mine). And how dare he follow his doctor’s advice by killing all the pigment producing cells in his skin? Really, shouldn’t he have been content to cover himself head to toe in pancake makeup every few hours? At least then, he could go out in the sun without fear of skin cancer. And so what if lupus was causing excruciating joint problems, surely he could’ve just taken a few Tylenol and called it good. And about the pedophilia. He certainly was one of the stupidest ones on the planet. I mean shouldn’t he have been content with a little secret liasion? Did he really have to invite year after year, busload after busload of targets? So many to choose from and he could ONLY pick two….darn it! And his nose, well now what doctor could resist a little more here, a little more there..ooops little too much this time, Mike, sorry. Better luck next time. And he spent more than he made! Oh wait, so does most of America. You know bank-bailouts and all. W-H-A-T-E-V-E-R! He was guilty of being fantastically rich, true. Eccentric as hell, true. Spoiled, true. Trusting the wrong people, true. Was there truly NO ONE EVER willing to fall off the money train long enough to FORCEFULLY intervene with whatever means necessary out of real love for him the reason why one of the most misunderstood, unmercifully maligned, most gifted, enigmatic, philanthropic, genuinely kind human beings ever disguised as an entertainer is gone? I know he was addicted to pharmaceuticals but can an addict cure themselves? Is it OK to look the other way for the sake of our wallet? This is what I can’t understand.

You have read my mind!!! | 8/4/2009, 11:31 pm EST

Comment to “Don’t understand”: thanks for putting these thoughts into the words I was trying to collect! Your comment puts things right for Michael´s memory. Love you MJ.

Throw the hollow shell of a hollow shell into a woodchipper, cuz this MJ punk is waaaay dead. The funniest thing I’ve ever seen was that joke of a ceremony at the Staples Center. Well, almost as funny as when his head caught on fire. High comedy, indeed. I’d like to ride his stiff, decaying stupid dead body like a surfboard on an ocean of surgical waste. Hey, I might even see one of his old noses!

“like the old Indian proverb says do not judge a man until you’ve walked 2 moons in his moccasins.
———–

Good advice.

That way, if he gets real pissed off, you’ve got a two moon head start.

Plus, you’re wearing his moccasins.

Get real, folks. Always using the excuse of his lost childhood, Jackson guaranteed shrinks will make a fortune from the three children he hauled all over the globe, hiding from creditors, hiding from himself, their never having friends their own age, never attending school, wearing nose masks to keep them from thinking it weird Papa always wears one … come on, you can’t claim that insanity was normal. And, if they finally get loose of that looney bunch, they’re not gonna try to get their childhood back.

Quincy Jones produced some good records for Jackson in the 80’s. Quincy finally threw his hands up, Jackson hasn’t cut anything since that comes close to Quincy’s work.

If the goal is to praise a real African American musical hero, start with Ms. Etta James. When Jackson’s pablum music is long forgotten, people will still be humming … “At last …”

Porn everywhere????Who says? | 8/6/2009, 2:15 pm EST

Dear Halldecker :
I am sorry to insist, but your weak argumentation is a clear proof of what I am arguing here: everything against Michael is based on “somebody said” “In google you find”, “after the Neverland raid it was said..” You know, I am from a country where the current president has been accused by victims of massive massacres and desplacement… they even have, not only victims´ and witnesses´testimonials, but photos, videos, documents that show the factual connection between this president and the paramilitia who slaughtered thousands of people. Well, according to my country´s media this guy is the best president ever, he is so hard-working, he is just such a noble human being (and I didn´t mention the corruption issue during his goverment..). Hence, the power of the media is unmeasurable. They decide who is a saint, and who should be given to the dogs…

I just read where the family is planning to bury Michael in an “unmarked grave”. I have mixed emotions about this decision. I do understand their concerns for security, the possibility of fans desecrating his body, ect. But on the other hand, I feel that those of us who are still mourning for him and will continue to do so for quite some time to come NEED to be able to visit his final resting place and perhaps begin the process of healing and try to find some closure to his loss. Rest in eternal peace, Michael. “I love you more”.

Well slowly its coming out more and more. All the TV Guide nonsense is nonsense! Now we are hearing that MJ was on a drug to stop his sexual urges of boys. Google It! Go to the Google News. Of course anyone should know these urges from the porn found at neverland mixed with wanting boys to sleep with him in his bed & bedroom. ALL his porn was found in that master bedroom & master bathroom. Now he was on drugs to stop his sexual urges for young boys. Wow!

For those of us that loved MJ (and for those that are dependent on the media for their opinions of him), the “Interview with Cory Rooney and Chris Apostle on Michael Jackson & his effect on the music business” is surely worth a few moments of your time to read/listen to. You can find it at Examiner.com posted on August 5. These are from people that knew him, and it’s not just “someone” said, “somebody” told me comments. These two individuals actually knew Michael and are speaking from personal conversations and time spent with him and I just hope this “hypeless” article/interview gets more exposure.

It’s a shame that a magazine of Rolling Stone’s stature, reputation and resources decides to publish this tabloid-ish story instead of celebrating one of the greatest entertainers of the mankind!
Mrs.Hofman seems more like a National Enquirer writer than a journalist for a reputable publication and shame on RS for not tapping into its vast contacts and resources that could have given readers lot more interesting story about Michael Jackson through numerous people that knew him for decades and not this gossip heavy account by an aspiring journalist!

I hate those bastards who killed him by slandering him. I hate those bastards who robbed us of many more decades of Michael´s talent and love. I HOPE THERE IS JUSTICE that punishes them. I hope they live in hell before they die and go to the bottom of hell when they die!

Michael fan 2 | 8/25/2009, 8:21 pm EST

To Michael’ fan. I feel your pain and no matter what is posted or written ANYWHERE, there are those that have taken the time to dig deep and since his death, so much information and videos that were henceforth “unavailable” has been made available and my heart is so broken that this sensitive, caring, too trusting man was subjected to extortion of the worst kind and NOBODY in his realm stood by him. NOBODY. All those, and they know who they are, whose careers he launched, whom he counted as friends, let him down and turned their backs on him in his darkest hour. I’m with you brother or sister, whomever you are. I know I’m not supposed to hate, but I DO. I truly do hate all of those who attained their own self-elevation from gleefully and recklessly tearing Michael down. And now Dr. Murray murdered him in the worst way by taking advantage of Michael’s pain and addiction. He’s no doctor but a beast. And God forgive me, I hate him worst of all.

Maybe they can re-animate him for a series of comeback concerts, I hear they are keeping the corpse on ice…do the robot undead Jacko!

Today is your birthday MJ | 8/29/2009, 8:05 pm EST

Happy birthday Michael Joseph Jackson. No matter what is ever said or written, those gifted with the eyes to see what is not visible, ears to hear what is not audible and hearts to feel what is not tangible, will love you forever and ever and you will always be in our hearts and souls.

To the moron who posted below who believes Michael Jackson was placed on a drug to stop him ‘desiring’ little boys – shame on you for propagating yet more lies about Michael. Don’t you get it? Anyone can allege anything about anyone and the fastest way to get ratings is to allege something horrific. Where is the hard proof? i.e attendance of the clinic, the name of the doctor who prescribed said inhibitors? There isn’t any – because this did NOT happen. It’s just an allegation athat gathers weight by repetition. Have you stopped to consider what it must feel like to be the target of that? This world Michael was made to live in, exist in, was a media creation – one that took on a momentum of its own. Sound familiar – weapons of mass destruction anyone? From an age of milk teeth to manhood, Michael gave us everything he had. He opened his heart and wallet to the needy, and was rewarded for that by being treated like a human lottery ticket for over 20 years.
This transcendent, luminous artist deserved so much more. He may have given his best to the world – but he was shown the very worst of human nature.

Greatest Smoke & Mirrors Ever! | 8/30/2009, 5:03 pm EST

Where is the talent of Lip Syncing ever major tv performance? Bottomline is he would have been exposed with this last concert thats why he was drugging himself up! He was only contracted for 16 minutes per concert, they had body dance doubles and the footage we saw he was slow and awful! In his prime he lip sycned. Where is the talent in that? He was the biggest star in the world at 25 years old within 10 years he was a complete hasbeen. Add in every tv performance was thriller based and lip sycned. He wasn’t a musican, he wasn’t even a singer. Pretending to sing isn’t a talent. Moving your mouth to a pre-recorded track doesnt take any skill. Now add all the footage they are showing was from when President Reagan was President! We had in the meantime Father Bush, 8 Years of Clinton, 8 Years of Son Bush & 6 months of Obama. That tells you out of style he was and how out of touch his fans where to be excited at watching a guy in 2001 do the moonwalk. Do you get excited at seeing the cabbage patch or running man? Every clip was when he was from the ages of 25-31. From that point on he was a complete hasbeen! If you actually look at the Thriller promotion: It was from Dec 82 – Feb 84. The release of the album to the last video thriller. That is little over 1 year of hard work and then the rest was milking that moment in other countries. Just like how the american public laughes at Jerry Lewis getting lifetime achivement awards in France. MJ was the sameway. He was totally out of fuel by the end of the 1980’s. Yes give him a live microphone from 1995 – On and he would have been laughed off stage. He knew it thats why he never did it, or did it well. You dont Lip Sync every single solo tv performance if your not hiding something! Motown 25, Grammys, Super Bowl, MTV comeback, Soul Train comeback, CBS Concert – All Lip Synced. No more talk about “greatest entertainer” LOL!! He was the greatest smoke & mirrors hack repeating something that was interesting in 1983.

He still gets to you... | 8/31/2009, 8:54 pm EST

LOL!!! Michael Jackson can still make so many people so f’n teed off! That’s funny as hell! And he’s DEAD!! So many experts on what they’ve seen or heard in the media. So many inside Michael’s head knowing why he did what he did. You wanna know something? I don’t give a rat’s ass if the “old man” lip synched his own ass all the way through the “This Is It” concert!! Or used a double for a double! Or moonwalked on crutches! And I’m not the only one. There are millions like me, that’s why the “This Is It” concert sold out in a matter of miutes. Get over the fact that Michael Jackson could still pull in the numbers irregardless if he just did a little tippy-tap, hop-skip and a jump. You’ll NEVER dissuade any of his fans around the F’N WORLD with your media fed, over stated opinions. We’re experts on Michael, we’ve heard every last nasty thing and then some. We KNOW he lip synched when he wanted, we KNOW all about his plastic surgeries and lily-white skin, we KNOW all about the tattooed makeup, we KNOW all about his fall from grace, we KNOW that he was a half a century old, we KNOW about doubles, we KNOW about the overuse of pain meds and anti-depressants, we KNOW all about the “yes” men, the greedy, money hungry leeches that surrounded him, but we also know so much more than just what the media has dumped as “truth” on the public. The world is full of hypocrites and full of those who attained a sense of self-elevation by dragging Michael Jackson down. But guess what? WE’RE STILL HIS FANS AND WE ALWAYS WILL BE! So get over it. Or not, makes no difference to us if you want to waste your time. LOL!!

deborahffrench | 9/3/2009, 12:00 pm EST

Thankyou for your comments ‘He still gets to you.’ I couldn’t agree more. For those of us who loved Michael, and more importantly, know the truth, there is nothing the media has to say that I feel the need to hear. I, and millions of others who have the perception to recognize the manipulation and self-interested bias within the printed and visual media; we did not and do not blindly follow the line taken by the media (aided by Tom Sneddon)and the LAPD regading Michael Jackson. I am not interested in Nancy Grace, Diane Sawyer’s, Martin Bashir’s, CNN’s summations of whether or not Michael was ‘black’ or ‘white.’ These are ridiculous concepts for a so-called ‘civilized’ society to still be fixated on. I am not the only one who can follow the unspoken ’script’ that is propagated regarding Michael Jackson. Now spoken about in the English and American press as a ‘drug addict’- the media here is convieniently revisioning their own part to play in the systematic and unprecedented attack on Michael’s mental and emotional health. The erosion of Michael’s rights as a human being and the enormity of the ‘tear-Michael-down’industry that took on new, vicious heights from the early 90’s onwards, is an indelible mark of shame on the media, Tom Sneddon and all those who knowingly spread lies about him. For those of us who love Michael and have had no real outlet to express our feelings, it has been beyond frustating thse past 20 years to witness this unfolding tragedy. Be under no illusion, there are billions of us we will not rest until the truth about this peerless, beautiful, rare human being and unparalled artist is known. As Michael said: Lies run sprints, the truth runs marathons.

p.s If you care about Michael, please do NOT buy Ian Halpern’s book. He was exposed years ago as a malicious liar by the journalism industry, and yet again he is distorting the truth about Michael and making money out of him. Please do not support this animal.

Ugly world | 9/5/2009, 11:17 am EST

Maybe this ugly sick world would’ve accepted Michael Jackson if he would’ve covered himself in “bling” and sang of “popping caps in someone’s a**” or about “big bootied ho’s” and had a string of “baby mama’s”. I hate even writing that but modern society, especially western society, has no place for deep convictions of any kind and by refusing to “properly” refute incredulity per media standards, Michael was openly vulnerable to every type of vile speculation and manipulation and only after his death are the vultures attempting to morph into doves. And Michael Jackson aside for a moment, even devoutly Christian men attempting to honor their convictions and their God in today’s society are vulnerable to speculation regarding their sexuality and incredulity surrounds chastity and celibacy like flies circling a rotting carcass. I’m offering no parallels between this and Michael Jackson. Simply stating that if Michael did have any deep convictions, they were sure to be misrepresented and maligned in the media’s and society’s incredulous mockery.

Mikejosephjackson7 | 9/10/2009, 9:43 pm EST

To all of those who support my friend Michael: “Thank yhu. And please, never turn yhur backs on him or ever believe any lies on him. Allow his legacy to live on through yhur hearts. God Bless Yhu.”

To all of the Michael haters: “Yhu are just a bunch of no life losers. If yhu supposedly don’t like him so much, why even wasts yhur time making a negative comment about him? That’s just it. Yhu don’t waste time because yhu have nothing else better to do than run yhur fuckng mouths. Yhu are a bunch of lame ass losers who have no fucking life. Go look for one, and stay the fuck out of Michael’s.”

For everone that missed the trailer to the “This Is It” that was shown on last night’s VMA’s, you can find it on the net. There’s absolutely every indication that Michael Jackson was in form to make a comeback. No doubt. But don’t believe me, watch the trailer yourself. I dare you.

Michael Jackson’s Greatest Legacy Was His Philanthropy, Kindness And Generosity
by Christopher May

Most people think of Michael Jackson’s greatest legacy as his dynamic and powerful performances in both dance and song. Music and entertainment are what Michael Jackson is best known for amongst most people around the world. His tremendous originality and creativity in dance and video performances changed forever the genre of rock ‘n roll music videos. His concerts were legendary because of the fire works, theatrical presentation as well as the richly soulful music.

If you look for a common thread about Michael Jackson’s character from those who know him the best you’ll hear words like, “he was very sweet and loving”, “he was a kind person”, “he went out of his way to help others”. Michael was genuinely interested in the welfare of others as much as in his career. This is a sign of a great soul, of a servant of humanity and a positive person. Michael Jackson was not only an outstanding performer, Michael Jackson was an outstanding human being.

If you look at the sum total of his life then will be be obvious that for much of his career he was a active humanitarian, philanthropist and a very generous person with his time and money. He went out of the way to help other people, sometimes is was entertainers but often times and sometimes just the ordinary person.

Even before the musical fund raiser ‘We Are The World’ was put together by Michael, he was constantly finding ways to reach out and help other people. ‘We Are The World’ was primarily designed to raise money for aid work in Africa. Michael Jackson was also involved in visiting children in hospitals, spending time with young cancer patients through the Make A Wish Foundation, and contributed to numerous other charities on a regular basis.

He had a special place in his heart for children perhaps because his childhood was lacking so much joy and playfulness that most children experience. This is what prompted him to create Neverland Ranch to proivde a place to invite kids there by the busloads. He wanted to bring people happiness and remind him of the good things in life.

For Michael Jackson, bringing happiness to young people perhaps was also a way for him to heal his own childhood wounds. He recognized that he could make a contribution in the lives of others in some small way. This felt good. Michael was often called an “innocent” person, someone who trusted others while choosing to see the good in those he connected with.

There’s a lesson for us in Michael Jackson’s legacy. Each of us can do so much for one another other to bring greater well-being, deeper happiness, reach out with an act of kindness or compassion. We can all learn from his example to extend ourselves to heal the world one person at a time.

Sometimes people ask what can I do to make a difference? If you look at the life of Michael Jackson’s life the answer is simple. Everywhere you turn you can bring benefit to someone in some way.

Rolling Stone, are you going to correct the description about MJ’s body? Wasn’t it wrong?? Please tell us the truth.

EHwilldieformichaeljackson | 10/8/2009, 11:36 pm EST

he was the best singer of all time! why does everyone have to be so hard on him?! the reason he was probably lip syncing was to save his vocalcords befor the big shows, even though they never happened or ever will, his heart and music will live on for ever!

DeborahFfrench | 10/9/2009, 11:51 am EST

I will never stop loving you Michael.
Never.
You are a hero – no, its more than that; your truth, beauty and unparalled integrity are, to me, unquestioned. I urge people to go Thesilencedtruth website, click on the heading ‘Remember’ and just read what people are saying. In particular read Brooke Shields. I am at work right now in London, phones are going crazy around me and I am trying to hide my face because I am crying. Actually I feel like screaming. I wanna ask anyone, can anyone tell me please.
How could we have let this happen?
How could we have let Michael be so wounded by lies and the media, that his spirit gave out? Why do Nancy Grace, Gloria Aldred, Diane Dimond, Martin Bashir, Tom Sneddon still have jobs, why are people still listening to them? Where is the apology, the f****** apology
for this .. this taking of a life? This beautiful, beautiful boy who gave us nothing but joy for decades, who became a man, transformed himself, music, video, dance and the act of giving itself – right before our eyes – was being killed slowly by the stress and trauma of being continually derided, disbelieved and hunted. Now all I hear is, drug this, Murray that, bald this, autopsy that. There is no respect, no value, no shame for what has been done. Forget Murray, that’s a red herring. Michael was tormented and exhausted, he took proforol to sleep – and to forget.
I know how he feels.
I have never been more heartbroken or disappointed in humanity than I am now.

I will carry this with me always.

If anyone is interested in the truth, like I was several weeks ago when – in shock at my reaction to Michael Jackson’s death I first started looking behind the haze of hyperbole I have been force-fed by the papers, tv networks and tabloid feeders like Smoking Gun about Michael; – I received a rude and shattering awakening. There is a reason why a depth charge of grief and anger has erupted in the hearts of millions, if not billions of people around the world – some of whom were not die-hard fans as well as those,of course, who were. I invite – no, urge anyone who wants to at least talk about possibilties,to read Mary A. Fischer’s award-winning article ‘Was Michael Jackson Framed, to listen to the public and written statements of Thomas Mesereau, to read the extremely well written book by Aphrodite Jones -’The Michael Jackson Conspiracy’ and to visit thesilencedtruth website. On this website please take the time to look over the comments in the section marked ‘Remember.’ It makes for chilling reading. For seemingly unfathomable reasons,a complicated and successful extortion attempt by one man, Evan Chandler – a man who is now forcibly and legally estranged from his son, and who from copious statements from witnesses involved in the circumstances of that time has been described as a self-serving, opportunistic predator who cared little for his own son – and even less for the truth. When one looks behind the hysteria induced by journalistic moral titans such as Diane Dimond, Nancy Grace, Bashir and countless others who put ratings and copy before a human life; you end up with something and nothing, more a collection of questions than answers.

In years to come, perhaps reasons will emerge from the rubble as to why a supernovic talent with a history of unparalleled giving and a persona of complex innocence and was consistently and wilfully humiliated, tortured and stripped of his human rights for a period of over 15 years – on the basis of such astonishingly non-credible accusations; and more importantly why this was actively encouraged by.

May I say at this point I am not a conspiracist, I find that approach to life, depressing and ultimately limiting. But it cannot be denied that the potent, heady mix of newly syndicated, pneumatic televison and online networks all fighting for their share of white hot media glare; the lure of fantastical amounts of money and good old fashioned human greed; came together to produce one mother of a takedown. In the final analysis, it seems it was never really a story about drugs and the Beatles catalogue: -
but a story about a lie.
