Michael Jackson Pepsi Ad Footage Unearthed From 1984 Shoot

7/15/09, 11:41 am EST

Looking back at Michael Jackson’s incredible musical legacy, January 27th, 1984 stands out as one of the darkest days in the King of Pop’s life. In an incident that’s often been discussed but never witnessed, Jackson suffered second and third degree burns to his face and scalp while shooting a Pepsi advertisement in front of thousands of fans at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium. For the first time ever, Us Weekly exclusively reveals video from the accident, which occurred when the pyrotechnics were set off too early on the shoot’s sixth take. (Warning: the above video is graphic.)

As the video shows, the premature pyrotechnics exploded on a nearby Jackson when his back was turned to the camera, with sparks igniting the singer’s hair. Jackson, unaware that he’s on fire, continues to perform until he is rushed by dozens of stagehands who quickly help douse the flames. After the fire extinguishers are emptied and the chaos has died down, Jackson emerges with obvious burns on his scalp, with patches of barren flesh where there was hair seconds before. Jackson was rushed to the hospital, but not before reassuring the audience of 3,000 that he was okay.

A tragic postscript to the incident, according to reports, is that Jackson’s recovery from the burns was what led to the singer’s eventual use of painkillers and prescription medications, an addiction that — pending the results of the toxicology report — might have caused Jackson to suffer the sudden cardiac arrest that ended his life on June 25th. Jackson’s nurse/nutritionist said the singer was “adamant” about receiving the powerful intravenous sedative Propofol, while Jackson’s former security guards told law officials that Jackson consumed as many as 30 to 40 Xanax pills a day in 2004. Even Jackson’s family was concerned about the singer’s drug use, with sister Janet reportedly attempting — and failing — to stage an intervention.

Following the 1984 incident, Jackson and Pepsi settled out of court. Always the humanitarian, Jackson donated his $1.5 million settlement to the Brotman Memorial Hospital in Culver City, California, establishing the Michael Jackson Burn Center for Children.

This reminds me of watching the scene where Anikan Skywalker gets set on fire… This incident is what turned MJ to the dark side (pain meds)… sad, scary stuff.

nathan johnson | 7/15/2009, 12:11 pm EST

that is really sad.

eatapeach10 | 7/15/2009, 12:14 pm EST

As strange as the man was, he was always a professional. Even though my tastes had changed from when I was younger, it’s hard to ignore the significance his music had in my childhood. May he finally rest in peace.

Erik | 7/15/2009, 12:17 pm EST

Never seen that before. Sad, maybe he would still have been around if that dident had happened.

Long live Michael Jackson!!!

t-t | 7/15/2009, 12:18 pm EST

Jerry | 7/15/2009, 1:07 pm EST

What’s amazing about that video is that he nearly put the flame out on his own by doing his spin move. Just awesome.
RIP Michael

Joe | 7/15/2009, 1:09 pm EST

For those who are quick to Judge Michael Jackson, please ask yourself how would you react to such a traumatic event? This is utterly horrible.

Kennedy | 7/15/2009, 1:12 pm EST

I am really glad they showed this. It explains a lot I think. For that to happen to someone who obviously depended on his image, this had to be devastating phsysologically, not to mention the physical pain. It’s understandable that this would change him emotionally for years to come.

Kennedy | 7/15/2009, 1:14 pm EST

And not to mention this happening to someone who already had major self esteem issues by this point we all know now.

matt in farmers branch | 7/15/2009, 1:17 pm EST

Dang! When i saw the scene from the Jackson movie it didn’t look nearly this bad!

His head was on fire and he kept on dancing! What a performer!

Maybe this incident burned his head so that he had to wear a wig from then on. Supposedly he was bald when he died…

Michael | 7/15/2009, 1:18 pm EST

I’m not watching this…why would anyone want to watch it?

Sick.

ellee | 7/15/2009, 1:24 pm EST

This was horrible for him, but of all the woes that bestowed him, this was, I’m sure by his account, the least.

The allegations hurt much more.

Rest in peace, Michael.

Bud | 7/15/2009, 1:56 pm EST

Sexy…#1 fan can people please stop acting like he was going to die from this…it really is not that much to handle…really people come on, if he is any man he would get over it…there is alot worse things that could happen to him…

R.I.P MJ

Anne | 7/15/2009, 2:25 pm EST

MJ suffered a great deal of physical and emotional pain in his life. Look at the picture on Primetime web site showing the spider bite necrosis on his leg.

I wonder how much laughing out loud “Skippy” would do if his hair and scalp caught fire from a pyrotechnic mishap? He’d probably squeal like a pig. Anyone that thinks this kind of accident is funny needs help.

Sabine | 7/15/2009, 3:41 pm EST

Poor Mike :-( , I feel for him, he was obviously bald at partes after that accident. That`s probably not easy for such a young man

comehomenow | 7/15/2009, 3:54 pm EST

This is absolutely terrible. I can’t take much more of this. The story of this man’s life is so tragic. The worst thing is that the entire world was able to watch him literally lose himself more and more each day.

Haven’t watched it yet. Wish I could swear I never will. Of course I don’t approve of the many dishonorable things he clearly and/or allegedly did in the ensuing decades, but this kind of coverage turns my stomach. Not that we should expect any better of US Weekly and its ilk, whose owners/editors may yet prove more lacking in basic human decency than papa Joseph Jackson himself. Fucking vultures.

Roy | 7/15/2009, 4:06 pm EST

thewufs…You should watch it. It’s super-funny!

Skippy | 7/15/2009, 4:15 pm EST

C’mon RS why you delete my post? I thought the video was funny. MJ reminded me of Heat Mizer from that Christmas cartoon with the hair on fire. I know it must have been painful, but I still found it funny. I’m being honest people! MJ’s hair looked like it just spontaneously combusted and it was part of the commercial. Yee Hee Hee.

Ginuson | 7/15/2009, 4:22 pm EST

Man this is hard to watch. I don’t know too many people that could have sustain something like this! But God had a bigger plans for him! R.I.P MJ

dora | 7/15/2009, 4:44 pm EST

Michael is such an angel. He’s always donating no matter what. You guys who still have something bad to say about him remember he’s acquitted! read the details of the case then you will see why he is innocent. as for the settlement, the insurance company paid it! what else do you need to stop attacking him?

Hey Skippy | 7/15/2009, 4:45 pm EST

We get it. You are trying, and failing, to be funny. Again, please set your own hair on fire so we can laugh at you.

Walter | 7/15/2009, 5:14 pm EST

Sorry, Pepsi. I’m finished with you. You took away the King of Pop.

Anonymous | 7/15/2009, 5:16 pm EST

I loved MJ. I loved the way he touched and entertained the world. He was truly magical. And, the fact that he preferred to be a bottom-boy when his male fans paid him a private visit, makes him all the more giving and special.

Hope | 7/15/2009, 5:34 pm EST

Precious child of God, he was. So stunningly gifted and such a gentle soul….Even with this horrific event in his life he was able to turn it into something good by donating the money to charity and calling attention to burn victims…Wish he’d been able to manage his pain without extreme drug dependency, but he had Lupus, too, and I wonder how much that contributed to his pain.

God bless you, Michael, I will always miss you. Thank you for sharing your music, your joy, and your life with us….

confused | 7/15/2009, 5:48 pm EST

how is this graphic? it was an unfortunate accident but millions of people suffer serious injury without turning into junkies. He wasn’t a hero, just a sad, sad man under all the talent. If the rabid superfans hadn’t haunted him he might have had a fighting chance at a normal life. We all killed him, like we do to all our celebrities.

Kathy | 7/15/2009, 5:58 pm EST

I’m so sorry this happened to Michael. I didn’t realize some burns were on his face too -as I’d never noticed those. I love you Michael….I miss you.

Fire bowl | 7/15/2009, 6:27 pm EST

As awful as that incident was, I do not believe that is what triggered his addiction to painkillers. He had many health problems that required medication over the years, even if the Pepsi commercial went off without a hitch, I don’t think that would’ve avoided what was to become of Michael. Besides, there are people who develop dependency on prescription drugs and eventually overcome them, with the help of family and friends. Eminem had a painkiller addiction too, but he went to rehab for it. Of course, it helped that he wasn’t living under the scrutiny of the media like Michael and his personal problems were nowhere near as bad as Michael’s. Nor was he as naive and overly trusting as Michael and he wasn’t surrounded by people who were interested in keeping him sedated just so they could take advantage of him, like Michael.

Anonymous | 7/15/2009, 6:45 pm EST

I CANT BELIVE HES GONE! EVERY TIME I SEE SOMETHING ABOUT MICHAELS LIFE LIKE THE VIDEO WEN HIS HAIR WAS ON FIRE I FEEL ALL THE PAIN HE WEN THRU I FEEL SO SO SO SAD AM CRYING INSIDE, REST IN PEACE

mamma | 7/15/2009, 7:10 pm EST

This should teach all of us what huge responsibility we have as parents and how easily you can screw with your kids mind. Michael’s parents and family screwed with him his whole life and now after death. I pray that he can now rest in peace. Michael, watch over your kids from above.

lilou | 7/15/2009, 7:19 pm EST

poor Michael…

Skippy | 7/15/2009, 8:18 pm EST

California – you’re a stupid idiot. Everyone has a right to their opinions. I happen to think it was funny. You don’t like it… too fucking bad. You see no meaning in it because you’re an imbecile who can’t accept an opposing opinion from yours. If this were not Michael Jackson, but say, a regular Joe Schmo’s hair getting caught on fire, would you still feel the same? No. You’re letting your like/love for M.J. cloud/mask your feelings. You’re an idiot.

Erik Wilson | 7/15/2009, 8:36 pm EST

I can’t believe Michael Jackson, who at the time was THE biggest entertainer, got a mere $1.5 million for being burned that badly. If that happened 25 years later Michael Jackson would have received $1.5 million dollars, plus half of Pepsi.

There is no way that $1.5 million would have begun to cover pain and suffering, let alone the actual and potential lost income that resulted from negligence.

Somebody gave MJ some bad legal advice the day he accepted that settlement.

Most of you are heartless jerks with no lives and you hide behind your computers. Sick. Rest in peace, Michael. I’m so sad that you’re gone, but I’m glad you don’t have to put up with this crap anymore.

Jonathan Go.... | 7/15/2009, 10:45 pm EST

I burnt my hand putting out a curtain in my room that lit on fire. Using my hands was the only thing i could do or i would have lost my whole house. I am 24 around the same age he was i believe. I can tell you that the blisters from my burns on my fingers hurt so bad i had to have them in cold water or it would be unbearable…now imagine that on your head. I don’t even want to. RIP Michael. I love you .

Jonathan Go.... | 7/15/2009, 10:48 pm EST

I forgot to mention that even with my hands in the cold water where the blisters were hurt unbearably after so i had to continue to put ice in the water over and over again. It really really hurt so bad. I promise you that the pain Mr. Jackson went through from that was extremely horrible. If you don’t believe me then you obviously were never burned anywhere anymore than a little half a second from a frying pan maybe…..Peace and love to all of you. Live life caring about others and trying to make the world a better place. P

CC | 7/15/2009, 10:54 pm EST

As much as no hardworking individual deserves to get their hair caught on fire – it’s 3000 X worse when all eyes are on YOU & part of your identity is all about your “image”. Not to mention, an image with a PAINFULLY SHY personality locked deep inside.

Poor Michael….

Oddjob | 7/15/2009, 10:58 pm EST

Skippy, you already looked like an asshole for thinking it’s funny that Michael Jackson’s hair caught fire. Now you say it’s funny if that happens to just anyone. Sorry schmuck, but that makes you an asshole. The man was seriously hurt. Just because you see him on TV doesn’t mean he’s a fictional character or a cartoon or something. If your head caught fire would you expect people to get a good laugh out of it?

kate | 7/15/2009, 11:03 pm EST

i couldn’t look at the footage, but my friend described it. how sad. i’m sure people will laugh at this person being burned (this is not funny when it happens to anyone) but i read the article and how kind that he donated his settlement to a burn unit. his proven good isn’t talked about nearly as much as his disproven molestation charges. sad commentary on humanity.

Neil Young. | 7/15/2009, 11:04 pm EST

That’s what you get for been a sell out.

The “This Note’s for you” video has a better footage of MJ hair burning, the video was Neil Young F*** U to the artists that sell out during the Regan era, the video won Best Video of the Year at the MTV awards, with some really funny images like Whitney Houston pouring Coca Cola into MJ head.

smith | 7/15/2009, 11:27 pm EST

I’d love to see Paris Hilton’s hair get set on fire. Now, THAT would be something funny.

kate | 7/15/2009, 11:35 pm EST

Neil Young kinda cashed in on Michael’s misfortune to get back into the spotlight after his waning days. Young’s a good musician, but seems like that was a bitter move. Wouldn’t have pegged someone who did Farm Aid to be one who would be so ugly about a human being’s physical harm. That’s something I’d expect Eminem to do.

Will Houston | 7/15/2009, 11:47 pm EST

Dude, your name is Skippy? Now that’s fucking funny!

BubbaCo | 7/15/2009, 11:58 pm EST

It’s hard to believe this video hasn’t surfaced until now…it’s pretty vivid. Just goes to show you how dangerous working with pyrotechnics can be.

BTW…MJ’s father is creeping me out. He looks kinda plastic, and the cheesy hoop earring makes him look foolish. I wish it was HIS hair that would’ve caught fire instead of MJ’s.

pam | 7/16/2009, 1:13 am EST

OMG poor baby, this is so tragic i didn’t know his whole head was in FLAMES!!! this makes me sad.

michael went through so much pain after this physically and emotionally

michael we miss u

Bon Scott | 7/16/2009, 1:32 am EST

This is absolutely insane and tragic. MJ’s head was on fire for over 10 seconds. A few seconds more and he could have easily been dead. The irony is that MJ was such an astute and focused performer that he didn’t even notice he was on fire, and what saved him was himself when he did that 1080 spin. Where were the safety precautions? Unlike what’s said in the article, there were NO fire extinguishers on-site. MJ extinguished the fire himself with the spin. I cannot begin to imagine the lasting pain of such a burn. I’ve burned my finger with a split second on a hot pan and it’s terrible with blisters and scars. He was ON FIRE on HIS HEAD for over 10 seconds. This is not funny and I can begin to understand why he was addicted to pain killers. With the amount of surgeries and skin grafts he needed for recovery, this kind of pain DOES NOT go away. And it goes to show what kind of person that he is that he SETTLED with Pepsi AND gave that money away for establish a burn center for children. All the people laughing here and judging him have never given away a CENT in their pathetic, hateful lives, and have nothing to feel good about themselves except to laugh at other people when they themselves are the ones that get laughed at and beaten up in the real world. Sadly, they don’t realize that the pain they feel inside, the torture of being tormented by the people around them makes them closer to MJ than they realize, except MJ used his pain to help others, not as ammo to spread more hate.

mari | 7/16/2009, 2:09 am EST

what a tragedy, seriously people are stupid for misjudging MJ the wrong way…he had a gentle soul and all he did was love and trust ppl too easily…He had the talent..being famous doesn’t mean u were going to be normal no1 is normal in reality…he will always be the KING OF POP….R.I.P. MJ i know u were a good soul

Abbey | 7/16/2009, 2:30 am EST

HolyCrap, I remember when that happened and even though it sounded a little serious, all we really saw was Michael being loaded onto a stretcher and waving his gloved hand. So you really thought everything was OK. But his WHOLE HEAD was on FIRE! I almost fell out of my seat watching that.

ZIS MD | 7/16/2009, 3:12 am EST

No one knew the devastation that this single moment in Jackson’s life would cause, but its seems that a domino effect would soon follow, thus leading to the tragic loss of one of music’s finest. Despite what you think, you cannot deny that this man is a legend, and his life will live through his music, never being forgotten.

Hopeu2 | 7/16/2009, 3:46 am EST

The best part is that he danced his way out of a dangerous situation. But, I will he would have spinned sooner. I don’t even think he knew it because he wasn’t expecting it to go off early. I think I have learned my lesson from watching this and that is to never play with fire.

Anonymous | 7/16/2009, 4:06 am EST

coachmaddog | 7/16/2009, 10:41 am EST

OK, it’s time. I have been very sarcastic and cynical about this whole thing. MJ was a great pop star, nothing more. Yet the media crammed this down out throats for what, 3 weeks now? He was a drug addict pervert weirdo. Too bad he’s dead but those are the facts man. All of you “Oh, poor Michael”, “Whoever is without sin cast the first stone” MJ apologists have brought this backlash onto yourselves. Don’t ask me to feel your loss. The whole Jackson clan is a bunch of stone cold strange birds.

Beltway Greg | 7/16/2009, 10:51 am EST

Difficult moment? Yes, but for god’s sake suck it up man. No doubt Michael received the best medical care money could buy and he did indeed receive a burn but he was not horribly disfigured. Many people go through many difficult events in their lives but to blame everything that occurred after this moment on this incident is weak and is indicative of what we’ve become as a society.
He consumed drugs because he was a fool and his family is to be blamed for allowing him to act in this manner. How could he be such a great father if he was stoned all of the time? If you were poor and acted in this manner they would have Child Protective Services on your butt in a heartbeat. Money buys everything including the complicity of those that sponge off of you. The Jackson family will do everything they can to make sure the truth never comes out about him because they want to keep that cash a flowin’.

Gunther | 7/16/2009, 10:51 am EST

What a horrible, horrible incident. I’m amazed that MJ even survived this attack.
It just goes to show you that even when you think you have fire at bay, it can sneak up on you and destroy your hair.
If this is what caused Mjs addiction to drugs then fair enough. Not only would he have needed drugs to help with the pain, but also a different set of drugs for anxiety, and also priapism.
It takes a lot of guts to take drugs like he did – he must have had nerves of steel not only to be able to take all these drugs, but to be able to go out in public knowing full well that around every corner fire could have leapt out in vengeance, trying to finish off the job. I heard that he hired goons to look under his bed and in his bedroom closet every night after that in order to make sure that a ball of flame was not lurking there waiting, always waiting.

MJ may you be free of fire forevermore. May your hair be glossy and made of asbestos, but not so much asbestos as to give you mesothelioma.
Thy will be done, both in Motown heaven, and also here on our rainy earth.

Musical Jenius | 7/16/2009, 12:12 pm EST

This is horrible. As a side note, those of you still pushing him being a pedophile as a fact should look up the word “fact.” What is a fact is that he was acquitted; that means not guilty. I know, I know, it’s hard with words and stuff especially when you need to rip apart others to rationalize your own shortcomings.

John Staknis | 7/16/2009, 1:49 pm EST

but to the guy who said he was acuitted of being a pedophile you are wrong. He paid off the family of his victims numb nuts.

Liza | 7/16/2009, 3:48 pm EST

MJs life was weird. Yes he was trully talented but that does not have anything to do with the fact he was a drug addict!Where i live if the cops raid your home and find drugs like that your headed to prison! When we seen the inside of his home during the raid of 2004 he had the perfect pedophila setup! Most men dont even want to hang with there own children muchless others! The fact that a grown man would build a park and pop open a can of jesus juice and share his bed with them….I blame the stupidity of people who make gods out of child molesters and drug addicts no matter how well they can sing are dance. To all his victims i pray for there peace and happiness and to Micheal i will let god handle him…

“Tuesday, June 14, 2005 Posted:
SANTA MARIA, California (CNN) — A California jury has exonerated Michael Jackson of the child molestation, conspiracy and alcohol charges that could have sent him to prison for nearly 20 years.”

Check your facts.

Liza | 7/16/2009, 3:59 pm EST

Oh and to all you bleeding harts out there that think its okay to molest children because your dad beat you and your childhood sucked..You all are contributing to the cycle of sexual and criminal abuse that happens in many familys!Just because your rich and your songs make others happy does not mean a damn thing in hell!

Musical Jenius,
Not guilty DOES NOT mean innocent. Innocent means that you didn’t do what you are accused of. Not guilty means the state couldn’t prove it. OJ Simpson? Not guilty. Innocent? Never. MJ? Not innocent.

keif | 7/16/2009, 4:45 pm EST

@coachmaddog

Its innocent until proven guilty.
Not guilty means innocent. Haven’t proven guilt. So in the court’s eye innocent.

Anything else is speculation.

Clarrisa | 7/16/2009, 4:57 pm EST

seeing Michael Jacksons hair catch fire was the absolute height of hilarity and kudos to the networks for showing repeatedly again and again. It had all of my co-workers howling. LOL.

James Jett | 7/16/2009, 5:03 pm EST

Just think, if we could have squeezed the grease out of his hair, and refined it, we may not be in the energy crisis that we’re in now.

Whizzy | 7/16/2009, 5:52 pm EST

You people who are getting a laugh are lame/trendy nerds more likley.
As far as the molestation, NO ONE KNOWS, not even YOU! Read/do a little more research than what you see/hear on the tabloids.

Bobby | 7/16/2009, 6:43 pm EST

there was a moment where michael is spinning his head to the beat then quickly realizes his hair on fire and started to spin out of control HAHAHAHAH and he was like heeheeHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE……. !

LOL priceless jackson.

SATAN | 7/16/2009, 7:44 pm EST

keif, You know he gave 20 million to four families to dropped the charges, right. That’s alot of money to give away if you’re innocent. He also admitted that it is natural to sleep with kids in the same bed after giving them wine. And he dangles babies over balcony’s, yip, he was a real winner.

swill | 7/16/2009, 8:16 pm EST

To the person who said this video is funny; would you let me torch your hair and let it burn for 10 seconds? I just want to see if you’d laugh and think it’s funny.

this is little funny i gotta admit and whole MJ was cool is getting sooo lame

Bullshit! | 7/16/2009, 10:59 pm EST

Shut up, SATAN. You know nothing about the case but taloid craps!
MJ didnt pay four families to drop the charges. He only paid the Chandlers to settle out of court in 1993 at the suggestion of his lawyers, consultant and company. But it was not an admission of guilty. The only reason was that if he didnt end the case, he would lose more money (billions of dollors) for cancelling dangerous world tour and other commercial contracts. And he never gave any kid wine! He only admitted it was natural to share one’s bed with others, but not sexually involved! Maybe inappropriate, but by no means illegal! You are so ignorant to believe what the tabloid says. At least do some research before you speak, ok?

coachmaddog | 7/16/2009, 11:38 pm EST

kief you are an idiot. Not guilty means that the state did not meet their burden of proof. Not guilty DOES NOT mean innocent. Moron.

quickstop | 7/17/2009, 1:44 am EST

If you are accused and innocent of child molestation wouldn’t you go to any length to prove your innocence? That means paying all legal fees and being able to prove your innocence. By paying off the family it does seem like an admission of guilt.

Bob | 7/17/2009, 2:08 am EST

It is important to remember that innocent people often go through settlements in order to avoid litigation costs and potential damage to reputation. Whether MJ was guilty or not, a settlement is generally not an admission or evidence of any guilt and should not be taken as such.

xingz3 | 7/17/2009, 4:14 am EST

this is horrible.. I can’t bear to watch this…

What’s more horrible are the comments here. Who are you guys who laugh at this? I’ve never seen sicker, more hypocritical comments than these. Americans talk about human rights, oppose wars, try to stop global warming, fight for animals’ rights … and yet laugh at a man’s head on fire??? You are the most hypocritical nation I’ve ever seen. No wonder people hate you.

Michael | 7/17/2009, 5:22 am EST

Satan has a small weiner and has short man syndrome. He probably lives in a trailer and is no doubt wanking himself over some religious picture. His mother was no doubt regretful to have him. There is some hope however, he could join the taliban and face some unfortunate virgins. Australia does not support American interfence in the business of other countries – bloody renecks.

SATAN | 7/17/2009, 6:37 am EST

Michael, you couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s actually kind of sad that all of you praise and exalt a child’s worst nightmare. This freak show was turtured by all of you when he was alive, you all made fun of him for his many surgery’s and bizarre lifestyle. Only in death does he have supporters. What a bunch of hypocrate phonies. Mother Thereasa and Princess Diana deserved attention of this multitude, not this perevert, lest we forget his many camera’s in many hidden places and his Jesus juice.

Some Loser From NYC | 7/17/2009, 7:21 am EST

Michael Jackson I dont care that you touched kids peepees and weewees and I dont care that you plied them with vodka and orange juice and I dont care that you gave hush money for people to be quiet while you hightailed it to another country! You deserve sum resPECT and I is heah to wear my white glove in a show of solidarity and I plan to set my hair on fire tomorrow so that I can know what it is to be like YOU!

I agree with you, Some Loser.

I dont believe that someone that gave the world so much and that was so generous to so many did the things that they say he did. It is the world’s history to tear down the people that are a friend to all. All i can say is that the video was more proof of Michael’s greatest gift of all: his magic.

God Bless, MJ.

You should be noticed to the authorities, because you are clearly sadistic psychopaths. Heck, let’s burn him with napalm! Better yet, let’s drown puppies in burning oil! … Wait. Now use. You would say this is not horrifying in the least, wouldn’t you? Watching a guy clearly get his skull burnt is not graphic? We can clearly see that his skull shin is destroyed, for God’s sake. You two have nothing in common with humankind. You are terrifying sociopathic beings. Let’s all wish your scalp burns. Then we will give you a morals lesson. The Truth | 7/17/2009, 10:09 am EST

michael jackson used to prance around in his tightie whities exposing his shriveled weiner to the kids and stock his room full of liquor injected candies and laced drinks to get them drunk and he’d promise them he’d put them in music videos if they did what he asked.

then he’d stand over them and whackoff and thats the origin of Whacko Jacko.

hateskippy | 7/17/2009, 11:22 am EST

Poor Michael, my heart is broken.

Anonymous | 7/17/2009, 12:13 pm EST

When I heard about Michael Jackson and the things that he did to those kids me and my friends threw out all of our Michael Jackson records and set them on fire and we danced around the fire like wild indians and then we made a voodoo doll of him and lit its hair on fire. And then we pumped the doll full of pain killers and alcohol, so never doubt the power of voodoo.

when Michael Jackson goes to hell, Satan will make him repeat ‘mamase mamusa mamacusa’ over and over again for all eternity.

Fred McGinty, Arizona | 7/17/2009, 2:22 pm EST

The majority of people around the world are aware of Michael Jacksons crimes against children and do not respect him as neither an entertainer nor a human being. He gave up that privilege when he fondled childrens genitalia. These truths hurt many of his devoted fans but these fans must both accept and acknowledge their idols crimes if they wish to truly move on. Its not OUR fault that Michael Jackons commited these crimes, so dont hate US for wanting to expose him for one of the worlds most heinous crimes against another human being.

It is well documented that these children came forward and told authorities that they were each fondled by Michael Jackson on seperate occassions and describing things in vivid detail things that matched in each report

Im sure that would be reason enough to take what these innocent and beautiful children seriously enough to want to charge Michael Jackson with child molestation.

Michael Jackson was acquitted and not convicted for his crimes and part of that settlement included a 20 MILLION dollar payola to one or all of the families involved. Thats a hell of a lot of money for one to pay someone to avoid prosecution especially if that person knows they are innocent

For fans of Michael Jackson to even go so far as to devalue our American Justice System in order to safely blanket themselves from the truth of Michaels child molestation says alot of the weak moral fiber in some people today.

Dan | 7/17/2009, 2:46 pm EST

READ THIS:

You people who say you love Michael and he was innocent make me sick. It lowers my faith in humanity that because a person had a few good songs you refuse to believe that he may have possibly ruined innocent childrens lives.

If you add up all the accusations and the fact that he admitted he liked to share his bed with strange little boys and give them ‘Jesus Juice’…If this was someone not famouse you guys would be calling for his hanging. but hey his songs make you happy so theres no way this obviously disturbed and troubled individual who built an amusement park at his house to attract children to hang out with him and sleep in his bed could have done anything wrong.

Reality check! talk about being blinded by fame. Now…I’m not saying he WAS guilty because I wasn’t there and I don’t know….Having said that neither were you. does a few good songs in the 80’s buy immunity from molestation

It is funny, how the thruth about Michael is coming out now that he has passed. Papers and Magazines are doing backflips to cover the truth. Where have they been all these years? It is allways easy to accuse s.o. of commiting a crime. But the job of the Press and the Media should be to bring us the truth behind a story and not to feed us with rumors to make a sale. After this tragic happening, I am guessing that folks will think twice befor they believe “THEM” brainlessly. It is sad that you have to die before they care about you. But actually they don’t… They just don’t care about you, me… US!
God Bless.

But after reading all these nazi, fascist stereotype messages around the net, I had to take responsibility.

So, Michael Jackson fans, count me in!

Michael, We Love You! You were one of the most innocent, loving and caring people on this planet.

Why?

He donated more than $300 Mio. to charity in his life time!

I cannot think of any other person who did that.

Michael Forever!

michael was a childmolester | 7/17/2009, 9:16 pm EST

Isn’t that funny that the stereotype MJ haters all speak with the same tone? None of the claims are proven to be true and they still believe those rumors like a godly science fact? Even science facts are changed at every discovery moment! The odd thing is that the good things that MJ lovers claim to be are mostly based on the proven facts that called “reality”. Do you see the problems here without being a MJ fan?

Kits2009 | 7/18/2009, 3:38 pm EST

If you do, would you have the heart to turn around and abuse those less fortunate kids??? It just doesn’t make sense at all. That’s why we call these made-up or twisted news tabloids rumors. It’s an ugly fantasy to satisfy sick people’s mind. It’s also for those lazy readers who don’t bother to take time to do a better research on the facts.

You don’t need to be a MJ fan to feel for his suffering or admire his great work. He is a great human being. And every great human being have his own supporters and haters. It’s just human nature. That’s all!

michael had a weird face | 7/18/2009, 3:53 pm EST

hahahh “he sizzled us all” hahah classic. michael jackson hadnt cut a record in ages and his career was dead way before he was. the only reason people said he was giving to kids overseas was because he ran over there to get away from suspicion of child molestation over here and was not actually giving anything to anybody. he was ugly inside as well as out. what kind of a person forces their kids (and i use the term kids loosely as none of those children were ever truly his in every sense of the word) to wear masks everywhere they go and drapes their heads with cloth brrrr its bizarre. notice he never ever EVER was seen in the company of women outside or anywhere else for that matter cause he preferred the company of children. weeeeiiirrrrd. yeah i dont think ill be missing jackson all that much.

Michael Jackson Is Guilty | 7/18/2009, 4:03 pm EST

you ever notice that every Michael Jackson lover carry the same tone of blind worship and accusing those who know that he was a childmolester of not having any hard facts and meanwhile none of them have presented any sort of proof that he DIDNT do it? Even in the face of Michael Jackson paying off the family for their silence and running to another country and even in the face of the childrens statements to the police his fans cry boohoohoo he didnt do it!
The odd thing is that the bad things that MJ lovers deny are mostly based on the proven facts that called “reality”. Do you see the problems here with being a MJ fan?

Iam Hassan Malekim Walach and iam very intelligent in my country and thank you now that we have alot of technology we now know of everything that is happening in the US states. I have many children and we all agree that Michael Jackson touched children in a bad way. If he were here his hands and feet and dinguku would be cut off immediately and in public for all the children to see and laugh for his evul ways. Unlike your american world, we punish child molesters right away because we are not weak like your liberal “I want to love everyone” societies. We are afraid of visiting your country the US states now because someone might invite my children to their rich homes and molest them. This is a shame because we thought that the US states was advanced with all their technology.

the poor thing had to take pain killers for gods sake, some people cant take pain!!! maybe you doo but dnt compare urself to someone who was wayy talented then you, he also needed the pain to go away so that he could perform good for his fans.

anonymous | 7/19/2009, 4:06 pm EST

The people critizing others about the video are hippocrites. If it’s so terrible, why did you watch it and why are you posting?

Darrell J. | 7/19/2009, 9:42 pm EST

“What did he ever do for humanity”

$300M toward charities, support of our armed forces and creation of numerous charitable organizations.

How about yourself?

Nothing. Thought so.

As far as music, perhaps it didn’t touch you but his music did affect Pop. As did Nirvana. It’s not a competition.

the truth | 7/19/2009, 9:54 pm EST

michael jackson never gave 300 million dollars to any charity whatsover and never ever supported the military those are all lies and you know it. michael jackson only gave 20 million dollars to a family so that they would not testify against him in court over a child molestation charge. to me thats not being generous but only saving his own cowardly skin from landing in prison for his crimes.

go sell your lies someplace else. we’re not falling for it.

coachmaddog | 7/19/2009, 10:04 pm EST

have I been blacklisted?

accolade | 7/19/2009, 11:20 pm EST

the truth, do you have evidence that counter the claim Michael Jackson didn’t give that much money to charity, or that he never visited the troops overseas? Please back your claim with facts. Otherwise if you don’t you only make yourself look pitiful for throwing dirt on a diseased person to make yourself look better.

PURE IGNORANCE | 7/20/2009, 12:35 am EST

The individual that released this video 20+ years AFTER THE FACT is an azzhole; individuals that take this video for comedy are EVEN BIGGER AZZHOLES AND LIKELY ON DRUGS YOUR DAMNSELVES. You all are a bunch of sick MOTHAPHUKERS (misspelled purposely to make sure this post). You’re relishing in someone’s pain and misfortune even after his death and I’d have to ask why but it’s not necessary because I know the answer. Lack of respect for the dead, lack of an unbringing, you were probably beat and raped as I child yourself or probably did something likewise to a family member but to hide your own shame you take it out on someone who is not here INSTEAD OF LOOKING AT THE FOOL IN THE MIRROR…YOU. YOU HATE YOURSELF AND YOU ALL ARE LOSERS and SICK AND YOU ALL SUCK…
Long live Micheal Jackson in my heart…

to pure ignorance | 7/20/2009, 9:00 am EST

I can understand that you still respect michael jacksons work and I can also definitely agree that whoever decided to leak this video and whoever chose to put the video on this site also has a strange and twisted set of values as well. But dont blame those who have viewed the clip for laughing after all you have to remember that in retrospect, it did seem funny in its own way just like something that may have been lampooned about another figure in history and Im sure you may have found it funny without knowing all the circumstances around it. other than that, the man was a good singer and entertainer (child molestation aside) and you have to remember that with that stigma attached to him, it becomes summat easier to have a laugh at his expense. You cant expect for people who remember him for those things to be faithful enough to hold him in the same regard as you do. Go in peace.

Leto7 | 7/21/2009, 3:46 am EST

Looking on those posts, I would wonder how one article about some person’s horrible trauma could bring so many people who would laugh on the somebody’s burns, who would be so saint and sinless to have right to judge others?

Where all those people came from?
Michael Jackson was loved and known all over the world. He was incredibly talented. A lot of people were touched by the great music of M. Jackson. And he suffered enough in his life already.
I do not think it is appropriate to laugh on somebody’s pain or suffering. That reminds me group bullying too much – all crowd is trying to kick the weakest one and enjoys it’s own power. No, it is not funny and it is not understandable, especially if we are talking about somebody’s physical damage. And in this case some people actually enjoying them self while kicking the dead artist.
How amusing!
And how heartless…

golden | 7/21/2009, 10:02 am EST

Most of us normal people love MJ. I love MJ forever don’t care what bad things people have to say, he was a beautiful person caring and giving trying to bring fools like those that speak bad about him together what a waste of his energy

golden | 7/21/2009, 10:09 am EST

Michael was the greatest performer of all times and at the end of time. You people who have bad things to say about him are haters and probably red necks who wish you had some great white hope that could have been that great, assholes

natasha noire | 7/22/2009, 1:08 am EST

Why did people put their children in michael’s care. He gave them money and they allowed their children to hang out and spend the night with a GROWN MAN OVER and OVER AGAIN then they concocted a molestation story to get MORE money. He was so gullible thinkin that they LOVED HIM. Then they took more money and we haven’t heard from them again. Why didn’t someone sayI want him to serve jail time my child means more than money, but NOOO evil and schemeing people got money for their childrens college fun and didn’t have to work anymore. Michael was innocent

SATAN | 7/22/2009, 6:51 am EST

leto7 | 7/23/2009, 2:33 am EST

Exactly my point. Take a look at people who are making angry comments here against MJ. What do you think about them? Whould you leave your child (or anybody you care about) with them for any time?
I definitely would not.
Good luck haters in your miserable life!

just me | 7/23/2009, 8:24 am EST

I never post on these things, however, I will today. I watched the video, I didn’t laugh or cry. I have my own opinion on M.J. and that’s all I’m saying about that. For all you M.J. lovers that are boycotting Pepsi! Get over it!!! My best friend DIED in a car fire. That dosen’t mean I’m never going to drive again or hate him for it. Remember folks when you point at someone there is always three pointing back. So, drink your Pepsi and Mountain Dew and rememeber that we are all human! Stuff happens and people die over mistakes everyday no matter who’s to blame.

These scumbags wish they look as good as him. It hurts them to see Michael laugh again after idiots tried to imprison him.

Just for the losers, he even made his skin and nose look good again. For you, it’s too bad that the genius Michael will always have billions of fans! Don’t worry, he will be reborn a great person again. You filthy little people aren’t so lucky. You have only fellow losers to impress. Hahaha

bobby | 8/7/2009, 6:36 am EST

michael jackson? oh yeah I know that guy. He was that guy that molested those kids….isnt he dead?

GeeGee | 8/12/2009, 11:39 am EST

he never molested anyone. if he did he wouldve been convicted obviously but he was found innocent. the people accusing him of such a thing took michael’s kindness for weakness and just wanted some money.

go on youtube and just look at some of his videos, even the old ones back in 84 youll see how much of an innocent kind guy he was. he would NEVER do such a thing. he might have been a little weird but he wouldnt do such a thing EVER

Ava | 10/21/2009, 9:41 pm EST

I think it was awful for Michael. I bet he was terrified. He did not deserve it. He was a great man. He was an awsome pop singer. I looked up to him every day and still do like the kindergarteners. He was my favorite pop sorry singer out of every one. I loved him very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, much. I thought he was cute when he was in his thirty’s. I am very sad now that he’s gone. i loed him so much. All of you that hate Michael should be ashamed of you’re selves. He is the most loving, caring, cutest, nice, good singing person ever lived in time. He made a great change. He wanted to help the world and save it not crush it.Miley Cyrus said he was her desire. I hate who ever hates Michael. Because he made a change for you. he made a change to help you. So maybe you should lay off. The world is going through a hard time just like me. I cried all Summer long. And I still cry every day of the year. That’s how much i miss him. I love you MJ. R.I.P.
