  • Aerosmith cancelled another two concerts — July 11th and 13th dates in Tampa and Sunrise, Florida — over Steven Tyler’s still unexplained injury. Guitarist Joe Perry Tweeted that both shows would be rescheduled for October, telling fans “Sorry for the let down.Better Steven recovers fully than halfway n strains his leg again.”

  • The U.K.’s Sunday Times reports that the music industry isn’t beyond asking for a bailout. Terra Firma has reportedly asked Citigroup to invest approximately $486.1 million in EMI to help restructure the company’s massive debts.
  • American Idol host Ryan Seacrest is close to finalizing a three-year deal (with a big raise) to remain with the show, Billboard reports. Last season Seacrest reportedly took home a hair less than $5 million from AI.
  • Eighties-themed fitness chain Retrofitness has bought the rights to 867-5309, the phone number Tommy Tutone forever linked with “Jenny,” Billboard reports.
