In a 60 minutes interview, Michael specifically stated that he would only visti Neverland, but that he would never go back there for good.He said it was a house, but not a home to him anymore because of the way they violated his home before the trial when they were looking for evidence. So, at first I thought it was a good idea to bury him there, but after watching that interview, I changed my mind. Do not judge others- for you yourself, will soon be judged. There is only ONE person that should be judging Michael-that is God. Only HE and Michael know the real truth. why is it you used to be innocent until proven guilty, and that was good enough, now you are guilty until proven innocent and even then you are still guilty? Until any of the rest of you have walked on water-you should keep your mouth closed. As far as the burial, its been 2 weeks- he just needs to be laid to rest wherever the family decides, I do think however,he didn’t want to live there again, but Neverland Ranch was a dream for Michael and is a peaceful atmosphere that he loved, where his body can rest in peace and mourning fans such as myself, could visit and pay their respects. But remember-Michael himself isn’t there-only the shell of the wonderful spirit that left us, which needs to be laid to rest immediately. It would be nice if there was a Graceland West where MJ could be immortalized, but Neverland is too far out of the way, and it has a mixed legacy b/c of all the abuse accusations.

I don’t think he was a pedophile; by all accounts he was a doting father, and many child celebs spent much time with him without incident. Only people of modest means – i.e., gold-diggers – ever accused him. Yet if your kids were molested, wouldn’t you press criminal charges? Only in one case was there criminal charges, and the family had a history of fraud.

While Gary, IN is pretty humdrum, MJ should have his memorial somewhere away from all the golddiggers and bad influences in his life, so it can be all about the music and not the nonsense. Most of the sideshow around MJ was created by the media and those of us who were willing to believe anything about him just because he looked weird.

I think for Michaeel’s own reason he should not be buried there. He stated that his home was violated, and he don’t consider it as his home anymore, so why lay him at rest where he clearly said he was not comfortable. Michael’s family understand MJ much more than anyone else. One thing MJ always was…FORGIVING. I believe that MJ would be pleased to be buried in his creation, Neverland, if that is what those who loved him most want. Yes, he went thru something terrible there, but there were also lots of happy memories, too. I would imagine the family would take into account the wishes of the children…their wishes, more than anyone’s should be considered. And, they, more than anyone, have sentiments about Neverland. For those who continue to malign MJ, I would hope they explore themselves and their motives. HE WAS a great entertainer, great artist, and true humanitarian regardless of his human frailties (which have been grossly overexaggerated). As for the drug issue, this was a man who put his life into the hands of supposed medical professionals (folks he should have been able to trust), NOT a man who sought illicit drugs. He had real physical issues (injuries, lupus), and it is criminal that he was exploited by those he should have been able to trust who provided/administered pharmaceuticals that ultimately took his life.

One more thing…MJ did not HATE his father, Joe. Anyone who listens carefully to MJ’s comments on his dad should take note that MJ said his dad was brilliant. Any elected official who would vote to approve the burial of Michael Jackson on the former “Neverland” ranch better be prepared to lose their job in the next election. Santa Ynez and the rest of Santa Barbara County DO NOT want anything to do with a Graceland style facility in this quiet ranchland area on the edge of a National Forest.

Oh, if only Michael had had a chance to make a comprehensive will, to have given a last message to his children, his fans, his family. My heart is aching from all of this. Why did it have to happen, why? I would love to see his body laid to rest at Neverland. Yes, he did say that it was no longer his home and he didn’t want to return there, but that was because of what he went through in life. This time, he will be at peace, in a place that he can love once more – his very own ‘Graceland”, just as he would have wanted. Whether fans are able to go in or not is irrelevant – I just feel that he needs to be buried in a very special place because he was so very special – and that place is surely Neverland, not with others at Forest Lawn. Michael Jackson should be buried in Forest Lawn which is near his California home, near his family, easily reachable by fans and a beautiful surrounding. He did not love Neverland anymore and he hasn’t lived in Gary for many many years. It is no longer his home.
