Limp Bizkit have rescheduled their first U.S. concert in eight years as a reunited band, booking a free show on July 18th at Las Vegas’ Pearl Concert Theatre, Blabbermouth reports. As Rock Daily previously noted, the reunited rap-rockers were originally supposed to play on June 10th at Vegas’ Mandalay Bay resort as part of the mixed martial arts competition UFC 100 festivities, but a disagreement over venue and a fight of DVD rights led to UFC canceling the gig. Tickets for the July 18th performance will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Limp Bizkit recently wrapped up the European portion of their Unicorns & Rainbows reunion tour with a concert in Paris this weekend. The free Vegas show will likely be Fred Durst and company’s lone U.S. show until after the band complete work on their new album, which will feature guitarist Wes Borland back in the fold and the first time the original lineup has recorded a full album together since 2000’s Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water.

“The style is not going to disappoint any true, hardcore Limp Bizkit fans,” Durst recently told Rolling Stone regarding the new album’s sound. “But it also isn’t going to alienate anyone that else who is going to discover Limp Bizkit for the first time. It’s kinda going to change the game a little bit, but still stay Limp Bizkit — if that makes any sense.” The band hopes to release their new album in the fall, with a stateside tour to follow.

Free is too expensive for Limp Biskit… You’d have to pay me to attend.

Anonymous | 7/7/2009, 11:49 am EST

Limp Bizkit still has hardcore fans?

Anonymous | 7/7/2009, 11:51 am EST

The music industry was so much better when this waste of a band was not around. The only reason that Borland is back is so he can dress up in a monkey costume to take attention away from Fred Dursts fat face.

Mucky Fingers | 7/7/2009, 12:08 pm EST

Their audience has grown up and disappeared.

Bizkit 4 Real | 7/7/2009, 12:38 pm EST

Haters | 7/7/2009, 12:45 pm EST

One of the best bands ever. Believe it.
New album will no doubt be one of the best of 2009.

Last time I checked Wes recorded Guitar on 2005’s The Unquestionable Truth with Limp Bizkit

cmanskar | 7/7/2009, 8:31 pm EST

HII | 7/7/2009, 8:45 pm EST

Schultz | 7/7/2009, 11:30 pm EST

Pure class that guy Durst – I would love to go to a show where the band I paid to see was flipping me off. Fargin’ ass!

john ford | 7/8/2009, 10:39 am EST

one hit wonders, they suck, and durst is a tool and a half, the free vegas show wont be half full.

Anonymous | 7/8/2009, 10:56 am EST

“The style is not going to disappoint any true, hardcore Limp Bizkit fans,” Durst recently told Rolling Stone

Has any one ever met a TRUE & HARDCORE Limp Bizkit fan?

Radio Zero | 7/8/2009, 10:56 am EST

Kids,

Fred Durst did it all for the nookie….see where that got him!

A Few | 7/8/2009, 11:07 am EST

They had a few songs that were decent but I’m highly sceptical to see how they do. If the new stuff is good, it’s good. But I sure as hell am not going to buy the new album off the bat.

Renniz | 7/8/2009, 1:34 pm EST

OK, so this genre of music is in limbo right now. Maybe, that’s a good thing! Their “The Unquestionable Truth, Pt. 1″ Album was good without Wes, but I thought the they lost steam after that. They need to reinvent themselves while still bearing their trademark sound. Even if you hate them, you have to admit that Fred Durst has led an incredible life and has or at least had a lot of influence in media. How did he do it? Things went south after the Woodstock fiasco.

bb 61 | 7/8/2009, 1:40 pm EST

Free is only way they could attempt to draw more thab\n flies

cautiously optimistic | 7/8/2009, 1:58 pm EST

It’s probably fair to say that the new album won’t be anything special, but as a fan of the Bizkit I’m still holding out hope. I really think it would be awesome if they could make the great record that Signifigant Other and Chocolate Starfish nearly were, but it’s more likely that it’ll be a snore-inducing bore like Results May Vary.

Anonymous | 7/8/2009, 5:18 pm EST

im sure that the 12 true limp bizkit hardcore fans out there are delighted

Bwahaha!!! | 7/8/2009, 6:22 pm EST

Wow! A FREE SHOW?! Maybe a new generation of 12 year olds with identity crisis can convince mom and dad to take them to Vegas. These dudes have always been a joke. Durst and Borlan…Tools don’t get much easier than that.

…..ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZ
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
That’s exactly how people feel about their music at this point.

J ROD | 7/10/2009, 12:53 am EST

Bizkit will be back with some hits. Love them or hate them, at a live show they make the place bounce and mosh. It is energy and fun. Even the haters know the words to their songs, so that means they have done something memorable, love them or hate them. After 8 years and a failed attempt to release an underground, guess who is still talking about them. YOU.

John Ford | 7/10/2009, 1:43 am EST

You must not be too smart..

How can a band be one hit wonders when the following were all HUGE hits on MTV and radio:

Nookie, Faith, rearranged, n-together, counterfit, rolling, break stuff, take a look around, my way, behind blue eyes…..

10 Songs that were all big singles..

For all the haters out there — Go ahead and talk shit on a band that has sold 40 million records and played in front of hundreds of millions of fans, and will never have to work another day in there lives..I bet your life is just incredible

Mike Anderson | 7/10/2009, 1:45 am EST

I meant to post that last comment to John Ford!

Phil Lasheo | 7/10/2009, 6:04 pm EST

So, by Mike Anderson’s criteria, which is

‘HUGE hits on MTV and radio……10 Songs that were all big singles..

sold 40 million records and played in front of hundreds of millions of fans, and will never have to work another day in there lives..

The you must have the same respect and admiration for Backstreet Boys, the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, N SYNC, Britney Spears, Nickelback, New Kids on the Block, etc etc etc….

Right?

rushn304 | 7/11/2009, 1:09 pm EST

limp bizkit is truly one of the better live bands in the world ….. hate all ya want but if you went to one of their shows , youd be jumpin …. and someone mentioned megadeth earlier , gimme a break , limp bizkit on their 1st big tour (ozzfest) blew megadeth away … and im a megadeth fan also

Steven | 7/19/2009, 4:01 am EST

The show was fucking awesome. IDK why people believe only tourists go to Vegas shows. If they only knew that between North Las Vegas, Las Vegas, and Henderson there’s close to 2.5 million residents.

We boycotted their stuff because they kept canceling shows. They give us a free show and Wes returns? I’m in.

anonoymis | 7/19/2009, 5:19 pm EST

the free show was hella off the hook, i dont know how the hell fredgot west back, that is one badd ass guitar player. free t-shirts, free tickets (floor) hella crakkin. the crowd was poppin, and this is the best promotional gimmik ever.

I love limp Bizcit

Hello everyone, I am a Mexican happy as Limp Bizkit is back and he does well. and returns indeed mouths shut and silence bands who make bad music, I would call garbage songs. It is time for the adidas rock revival in a big cry, Limp Bizkit is in the response to this thirst for rapcore.

hardcore bizkit624 | 7/20/2009, 10:23 pm EST

hahaha…stupid haters!!! ur nothing but a bunch of bad taster music ppl. but don’t worry cuz Fred and all Limp Bizkit fans’s got the torch now to burn y’all motherf_ckers down, so u can kiss our chocolate starfish!!!
