Gossip Hen, I’m one of those white Americans with a foreign kid, and no, it’s not the same, get a grip. a) I legally adopted my daughter. I did not stuff a pillow under my shirt for 9 months and pretend I was pregnant. I filled out legal paperwork. b) my daughter knows she was adopted. She knows I am not her biological mother. We don’t pretend otherwise. c) Does she question her paternity? Yeah, every day. Her maternity, too. And she’ll never know. That’s what sucks about closed adoptions. And for the record, yes, people have questioned her paternity to my face, assuming I had her with a Chinese man. I could give a rip about MJ, but the fact is that those children have a mother, and it would seem like she could and should have legal rights to them, especially if they are not biologically MJs and if he never legally adopted them. That’s why there are laws, to protect kids.

The children’s looks should not affect opinion of whether or not they are his. I’m medium brown as MJ’s was my husband is white and my children are white. I get asked if they are mine. My daughter does tan so in the summer there are less doubts about her but my son is white with green eyes. MJ probably picked the mothers to ensure his kids would be light skiined or white.

Yes, it sometimes happens that a black parent has a child who appears to be white, but if you look at the biracial children of some of his siblings, it is obvious they have black ancestry even though they are very light in complexion. Even some very white looking bi/multi-racial people such as Slash, Mariah Carey, Rashidah Jones…you can tell that they have some black blood. First of all, what makes what Michael did any different than anyone else who pays expenses for a surrogate or adopts? That could be construed as “buying babies” too. I see nothing wrong here.

Secondly, MJ’s kids are clearly biracial. With fair haired/skinned Rowe as the mother, his white dermatologist could not be the father. After seeing the kids at yesterday’s memorial, I think the boys look a lot like MJ. Paris could have her aunt Janet’s or Uncle Jermaine’s genes. None of the Jackson siblings look the same. They all have relatively fair skin for being black. My bet is that the kids do have MJ’s genes. Even if they don’t, does it matter? Paris is obviously closer to the Jackson family than her mother. Rowe wasn’t even at the Memorial. I don’t think she wants them anyway. They should not be split up and for their psychological well-being should stay with the Jackson family.

I don’t think MJ ever wanted to be white. He lost pigment with vitiligo which made his skin patchy. It was probably easier and safer to remove the pigment in the remaining skin than to inject new dark pigment or cake on heavy dark make-up. He probably chose a white mother for his children, so vitiligo wouldn’t be as obvious on them if they were to be afflicted. His surgery is another story. The first nose job looked good (Thriller/Bad), and he should have left well enough alone. I understand him not liking his broad nose when Jermaine and other siblings had narrower noses. Numerous surgeries made the skin weak and it started deteriorating. In an effect to correct the problem, he made it worse. I don’t know why he had his lips done. He always had beautiful lips.

Oh please. The kids are clearly biracial, and they blended so well with the Jackson siblings on that stage yesterday. Considering Rowe is blond and fair, the children clearly have a black father. If it’s not Michael’s DNA, it’s one of his brothers’.

On the other issues, the biological paternity most certainly WILL matter in the coming months as MJ’s estate gets sorted out. Finally, it is clear MJ was a prescription drug addict whose doctors couldn’t or wouldn’t say no to him. His bizarre behavior, surgeries, demeanor– or much of it — is certainly attributable to years of drug abuse. It is a tragedy of epic proportions to have so very much beauty, talent and the benefit of wealth along with it and piss it all away because of drugs. I’ve seen it hundreds of times before however!

Many consider addiction a moral failing; however it starts, it becomes, eventually, a disease, the outcome of which is either early death or jail if one does not stop using. MJ escaped one but not the other.

First of all let me say that I know for sure that Michael Jackson was a black man. Secondly, I don’t believe that he molested anybody. He is not a peophile.

One thing he is guilty of is his race. I mean look at his kids. If those are really his kids, they wouldn’t have white skin like they do.

I think that these kids were purchased and not legally adopted , because considering MJ’s legal problems concerning the child molestation alligations MJ would’ve undergone an extensive back check including but not limited to psychological evaluations and other checks,cosidering his treatment as a child which we all know how it affected him. Whatever the truth may be, it is possible for a black man to father white children with a white woman. The assumption most people make is that such children will always look half black and half white but it doesn’t always work out that way.

As an aside they call Obama a black man even though he is obviously a white man with a black father or a black man with a white mother. It seems that you need only be 1% black to called a black man whereas you have to be 100% white to be called a white man. How can it be that somebody who is only 50% white is in fact black? I am of mixed race from NZ and yes with a dark father. I am constantly mistaken for a full European by some and by others as a NZ Maori. I am dark hair and eyes and brown ethnic features with white skin (blonde like Prince when I was born.)I have one dark brother while my other brother and sister are blue eyed blondes! It can happen with mixed genes and people can be very cruel with their snide remarks and opinions. We all looked adpoted accept that we all look alike!! Now I have a grown up family and one of my sons is very dark so who knows what you are going to get. In the world there are many twins one black one white! Your great-great grandpappy could have fallen in love with different race of woman and visa-versa. We are just the branches on the tree that started a long time ago with the roots.
