Paul McCartney made a surprise appearance at Neil Young’s concert at London’s Hyde Park on June 27th, running out onstage to sing his “A Day in the Life” verse after Young launched into the epic Sgt. Pepper closer. Macca stuck around for the rest of the song, which Young has frequently used to end concerts in recent years, then the duo wrapped the concert with an impromptu vibraphone solo before exiting the stage. The performance came one night after Young’s headlining set at this year’s Glastonbury Festival on June 26th. Young and McCartney previously shared the stage together at the Bridge School Benefit concert in 2004, with the pair performing Young’s After the Gold Rush song “Only Love Can Break Your Heart.”

I wish Neil would have let Paul sing his part. Show some respect.

If you can’t say something good, being the no-talent never-did-anything-and-never-w ill that you are, just shut up and die.

We saw them at bridge school benefit singing and this was great, two of the greatest guitar players on stage, and of course song writers. Someone said Neil only has 3 hits, well he has hundreds. Isn’t it cool neil and Paul were there together. Did you see at the end Neil’s Old Black guitar strings were broken and he continued to play. His Old Black guitar has alot of magic in it. Did you know what really would be cool, Paul and Neil going out on tour together! That would be very cool. Two really good guitar players and song writers. i do not know about you but I am going to re-visit that Paul and Neil on A Day in the Life, plus i am going to dial up the bridge school concert neil and paul did great stuff, plus what are the only 3 good songs, i bet i could list a hundred.
