Kris Allen, Adam Lambert Reveal Plans Behind “American Idol” Tour

American Idol kicks off its summer tour on July 5th, trekking Kris Allen and crew through 50 cities in just under two months. What can fans expect of Season Eight’s Top 10 on an arena stage? Adam Lambert promises a “post-apocalyptic-rocked-out-space-disco-funk” look to his ensemble, while Matt Giraud is gearing up for dance lessons courtesy of tour choreographer JaQuel Knight, who was the creative brain behind Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” video. Plenty of laughs are also in store, if a tour preview held yesterday morning (pre-Michael Jackson news) in Burbank is any indication. Blame Giraud, who all-too-enthusiastically led his fellow finalists in a group rendition of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing,” complete with dueling pianos (Scott McIntyre), hoots and snickers (ahem, Megan Joy).

(Read our report from the first night of American Idols Live here.)

You could say that for the first time since these former hopefuls auditioned, they’re having fun with no consequences. “To not have to worry about where the camera’s gonna be or where you’re standing is so liberating,” says Anoop Desai, who’ll be reprising “My Prerogative” as one of his show numbers. Allen is also adjusting to a new Idol world, and the idea of building his own set list. “People want to see you do songs from the show, but it’s nice to be able to throw in something that you want to do and really mold your time onstage,” he says. (His list includes “Hey Jude,” “Heartless” and “No Boundaries.”) It’s a balancing act they’re all accustomed to, and for his part, Lambert chose tunes by a couple of his idols, Muse and David Bowie. “I like to be associated with Bowie in any way because he’s a huge inspiration for me,” he explains. “So I’m performing the song as a way to honor him as an artist.” Lambert’s set list includes “Life on Mars,” “Fame” and “Let’s Dance.” (Get all our essential Adam Lambert coverage — photos, video and more — here.)

Megan Joy is also taking on an artist that should be a natural fit — she’ll perform Amy Winehouse’s “Tears Dry On Their Own,” while Giraud is sticking with a proven crowd-pleaser, his rendition of “Georgia On My Mind.” Danny Gokey won’t reveal which songs he chose, only that two are from the show and two are “nude songs,” he says with a slip of the tongue, no doubt triggered by exhaustion.

Indeed, there’s little rest for the Idol weary. Allen says it was two full post-finale weeks before he got his first decent night of sleep. “I was at home and just conked out,” he laughs. “I didn’t wake up until, like, two in the afternoon. It was incredible.” Lambert, on the other hand, took a quick break soon after his whirlwind press tour in New York. “I had four days off and spent it with a special somebody in Santa Barbara,” he coos. “It was a really relaxing mini-vacation and very helpful.” But since then, it’s been non-stop drama for the runner-up who’s currently embroiled in a battle with Hi Fi Records that could turn legal when the label releases an album of his pre-Idol demos. Asked if he feels like he’s constantly putting out fires, Lambert tells Rock Daily, “You could say that. I’m like a fireman… and a firestarter at the same time.”

Of course, fame also has its perks, like getting a little guidance from Madonna. “She gave me some really good advice on the downsides of all the notoriety,” says Lambert. “To stay positive, keep your eye on the prize, really inspirational stuff. She knew I was doing press and said, ‘It’s hard talking about yourself, isn’t it?’ ” The moment was “major,” Lambert acknowledges, but he admits that the queen of pop, who’s known to abstain from all things TV, didn’t know much about him — or anything at all. “My friend who introduced us gave her a little back story before we met,” he recalls. “I didn’t know what to expect. It’s the most star-struck I’ve ever been, my heart was beating really fast and I stammered a lot, but she was really cool.”

Pretty soon, these idols will be on the opposite side of stammering fans — and an adoring celebrity or two — an exciting prospect considering they spent the better part of 2009 in isolation. Allison Iraheta, for one, is just happy to have the girls around. “I missed them,” she says, “and it’s only three of us on the tour, so you know our bus will be the party bus.” She’s not referring to binge drinking or any such acts of debauchery — it’s all about the video game console. Now if she could only decide between Guitar Hero and Rock Band.

Imagine that, Gokey won’t reveal what he’s singing, I could give a crap. All I care to see is Adam, love him to pieces. He is one awesome performer and singer. Can’t wait for his David Bowie medley he’s singing on the tour,
And also I might add I can’t wait for his 19/RCA album release too.

Wow | 6/26/2009, 4:26 pm EST

Didn’t read the article. Saw the RS billionth post on this karaoke contest and simply wished to voice my displeasure.
Just like YOU will when RS mentions an artist with actual talent.

Happy now? Hope this clears everything up.

Huh? | 6/26/2009, 4:28 pm EST

EEEEEK! | 6/26/2009, 4:47 pm EST

Please don’t let Gokey be nude! The thought brings me nightmares. Now,Adam on the other hand, let it all hang out. SEXY!

LuvYaAdam | 6/26/2009, 4:58 pm EST

Rolling Stone, thank you so much for continual coverage on AI, especially regarding my fave…Adam Lambert. What a trip it was for me to finally snag a copy of the RS with him on the cover after running around like a mad woman from store to store. I have never been this excited watching a new star skyrocket to fame. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

JustMe2 | 6/26/2009, 5:04 pm EST

I can’t wait to see Adam on the tour. Adam’s set is going to be electrifying! I feel sorry for Kris having to perform his snoozefest of a set after Adam brings the house down. No Boundaries?? Hey Jude?? I’m already falling asleep.

Dakota | 6/26/2009, 5:16 pm EST

I now know everyone who works at my local Barnes and Noble thanks to MY frantic search for the ADAM EDITION. How embarrassing that I had to say that it was for my teenage daughter. Oh well, what we do for our addictions

J | 6/26/2009, 5:23 pm EST

Thanks for giving us so much Adam information. I can never get enough Adam. Love him so much and can’t wait to see him in Duluth.

Fire!!! | 6/26/2009, 5:27 pm EST

I cant wait to see his Royal Hotness, Adam Lambert! I hope they provide extinguishers at each venue because Adam is gonna be so darn hot!

mom_shell | 6/26/2009, 5:28 pm EST

RS thank you for keeping up with our new rock star: Adam Lambert.
I can’t wait for his album but before that is exciting to know he is gonna give us a glittergasm experience wit the Bowie medley. Rock on Adam!!

Canadian | 6/26/2009, 5:29 pm EST

Thanks for the contiued coverage – love Kr-adam especially.

Adam Fan | 6/26/2009, 5:37 pm EST

Thanks for keeping us up to date. Adam is the most talented singer I’ve heard probably EVER and I’m older then the average bear…His Bowie medley sounds so hot he will need a fire engine there to put out the flames!!!!!!!

ps haters could you please get in a time machine and go back to the 1200’s where that mentality was acceptable…along with witch burning etc….

dianna | 6/26/2009, 5:40 pm EST

I can’t wait for July 5th…I’ve got floor seats that will be 7 rows back from the stage….love Adam…….can’t wait to see him in Portland, Oregon

Persephone | 6/26/2009, 5:42 pm EST

It’s really cool that Adam is doing a lot of Bowie, that should make the tour’s cool factor go up a bit. Nothing wrong with Chris, even though we all know (guys and girls) that Adam is hotter. But it was a disappointment to see the Jonas Bros on the cover after all that hotness with Lambert!

CindyN | 6/26/2009, 5:42 pm EST

I can’t wait to see and hear Adam sing the Bowie medley.

Darcey | 6/26/2009, 5:44 pm EST

I can’t wait to see Adam! How many people will leave after Adam sings? It is a shame that other then Allison I would rather not see the rest. I agree with Simon, he talked about the boring contestants on the show year after year. This year was different, said Simon, Adam will become a world wide superstar. I wish the show was more adam and less of the rest.

ravengirl | 6/26/2009, 5:45 pm EST

The best quote eva by our beautiful boy Adam:

Asked if he feels like he’s constantly putting out fires, Lambert tells Rock Daily, “You could say that. I’m like a fireman… and a firestarter at the same time.”

Thank you, Rolling Stone, for being smart enough to cater to the passions of a vast, passionate and lucrative Adam demographic.

Raven | 6/26/2009, 5:46 pm EST

Looking to hookup some tickets for my wife and myself for AI in San Diego. Adam is going to show he’s the first true superstar AI has produced. Just sayin’.

T | 6/26/2009, 5:49 pm EST

“post-apocalyptic-rocked-out-s pace-disco-funk” look…

Looking forward to it!

Sharon | 6/26/2009, 5:51 pm EST

Thanks RS for the update…can’t get enough Adam!

OutlandoGirl | 6/26/2009, 5:52 pm EST

Adam can put out my flames any time!

He’s the hottest artist to ever come from Idol, and perhaps the hottest musician of the year so far.

Cannot wait for his solo shows. Two hours of Adam. Yum!

dreadnaught | 6/26/2009, 6:03 pm EST

Looking forward to Adam’s set! Even though he’s everywhere these days, I’ve missed seeing him perform. His technicolor personality is pure joy and his voice, ah, such a voice.

20fiveor6to4 | 6/26/2009, 6:10 pm EST

Adam, forget about what that studio is doing about releasing your recorded vocals from 2005. It should’ve been released and out in the public in 2005. They want to ride your coattails like somebody else we know. Collect the money from the royalties and treat yourself for many years to come. Because really, if it wasn’t for you being the most famous runner-up, that recording would still be what it was in 2005.

Denise | 6/26/2009, 6:12 pm EST

Hey Adam, We are ready for you !! I am so excited. I will be in St. louis when you get there. Everything you are going to do sounds great !! And the outfit sounds marvelous ! You are so hot as it is! I can’t hardly wait !! You are so loved by so many of your fans !! We will support you all the way !! Lots of love to you!

Denise | 6/26/2009, 6:15 pm EST

Oh Adam I forgot to say this:

It’s All about YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing but Love for you!!!!!!!!

SCat | 6/26/2009, 6:15 pm EST

Not interested in seeing the tour (well would love to see just the Adam set but not interested in the others) will wait to see Adam perform live solo, now that will be one concert that is gonna rock.

Lissa | 6/26/2009, 7:13 pm EST

I agree with others – just give us Adam and skip the boring rest
Well an Adam/Allison duet would be fine

Sarah | 6/26/2009, 7:19 pm EST

RS, there is no doubt that anyone who loves Adam, is so thankful and full of appreciation to you for posting your articles about Adam. THANK YOU, JUST KEEP ON POSTING ABOUT ADAM!!

Alexandra | 6/26/2009, 8:02 pm EST

Michael Jacson´s death is one of the saddest moments of my life.

I think the only thing that would help me, and my friends, is the launch of Adam Lambert. He will be, without a doubt, the only artist of this century who can fill that gap.

Please, hurry. We are hurtin and NEED Adam Lambert NOW

Shery | 6/26/2009, 8:06 pm EST

I only want to see Adam. Others are not interesting specially Gokey

Hello | 6/26/2009, 8:07 pm EST

Adam will rock the summer tour stage!!!

Gene | 6/26/2009, 8:09 pm EST

Adam is the only singer who can replace Michael Jackson in the world star.

Gm | 6/26/2009, 8:10 pm EST

cant wait to hug adam after the tour……but i will sit through kris’s slow…performences….as not to be a jerk like peeps were last year after archie performed..
i do love kris’s voice and allison .
BUT B, COME ON… JUST LET ADAM TAKE THE STAGE AND BE GONE . SPECIALLY GOKEY AKA CHOKEY.
cant wait

Adam | 6/26/2009, 8:15 pm EST

I can’t wait to see you sing!! LIVE!! I LOVE HIM

cayman | 6/26/2009, 8:35 pm EST

Wish it was an Adam only concert!! He is amazing!! Thank you RS for all info on Adam, we need another cover of Adam.

Dee | 6/26/2009, 8:39 pm EST

I’ll wait for Adam’s solo tour. Otherwise. Get there late. Buy snacks in lobby. Watch Allison. Take break. Scramble to seat for Adam, who is BEYOND FABULOUS. That’s an awfully long, expensive evening…

egoti | 6/26/2009, 8:44 pm EST

Well, I’d hate to be Gokey following Allison or Kris following Adam. Allison with Barracuda, Cry Baby, a Pink cover, and Slow Ride is gonna blow it out. Gokey just sucks. Kris is a fine musician, but after the adrenaline primer form Allison, then full throttled by Adam, it’s hard to imagine much excitement. Maybe everyone will be exhausted and ready for it. “Hey Jude” may get ‘em back in the mood.

Lisa | 6/26/2009, 9:02 pm EST

Am DYING to see Adam. In fact he’s the only reason I bought tickets to go. He’s also the reason I subscribed to RS for the first time in years.

god they’re going to have to peel me up off the floor after Adam’s set. Can’t wait!

wathcha | 6/26/2009, 9:15 pm EST

It’s all about Adam! Everybody is going just to see Adam. Too much money to spend on anybody else!

MichaelJacksonlove | 6/26/2009, 9:20 pm EST

Give us some love Adam!

Hanna | 6/26/2009, 10:01 pm EST

I’ll take bathroom/beer breaks during Sarver’s and Gokey’s sets. Otherwise I’m looking forward to hearing the Idols. When Adam hits the stage, I’ll be up on my feet with my camera clicking and my heart singing! :D

Sing Ahhhhhh | 6/26/2009, 10:04 pm EST

Do update more about Adam everyday.
Love him to bits and pieces.
Not going for the tour – not staying in US. :(

iamaglam | 6/26/2009, 10:06 pm EST

As soon as Adam can cut ties with AI, I’ll be at every one of his concerts. Personally, I think AI is history. Face it. There’s no topping Adam. AI – Fold up your tent and go home.

Mary | 6/26/2009, 10:10 pm EST

Can’t wait for Adam’s tour, I also love Allison, but its all about Adam!!!

Mary | 6/26/2009, 10:10 pm EST

Can’t wait for Adam’s tour, I also love Allison, but its all about Adam!!!

Lynn | 6/26/2009, 10:18 pm EST

Since the first time I saw Adam, I have said I hadn’t been so excited about an entertainer since Michael Jackson. It’s hard to believe Michael has passed on. Now, more than ever, I look forward to seeing the amazing Adam perform on tour. Like Michael, Adam has the whole package and the world now needs this unbelievable entertainer to help fill the MJ void. My prayers are with both Michael and Adam. It’s scary to think what success so often does to those who reach the top. God bless Michael and Adam.

Betty | 6/26/2009, 10:19 pm EST

Only going to the AI concert to see Adam. I probably will not even bother to arrive until intermission. Potty-Beer break during Gokey. I will need to be peeled off the floor during Adam. I will leave during Kris so I can get in line near the buses in hopes to get Adam’s autograph.

Vada | 6/26/2009, 10:26 pm EST

I bought my tickets to see Kris. I am sure all of the top 5 will be great.
I could do without the rest.

Margo | 6/26/2009, 10:42 pm EST

If it weren’t for Adam, I wouldn’t be attending this concert. He is a pro already and I also wish this concert would be his alone. Potty breaks? I’d have to take too many, but if I had to choose I’d take one during Megan’s performance. It’s all about Adam, Adam, Adam!

Maria | 6/26/2009, 10:56 pm EST

Can’t wait to see Kris and Matt.

Eve | 6/26/2009, 10:59 pm EST

I feel sorry for Kris having to follow Adam and close the show. I bet he’s already wishing he took second place. If the blogs are any indication of the composition of the tour audience, Adams fans are going to make up most of the audience. I can’t wait!!!!

HongKonglovesAdam | 6/26/2009, 11:11 pm EST

Hanna: Good suggestion to take bathroom/beer break during the Gokey and Sarver sets! Adam Rocks!

Kim | 6/26/2009, 11:11 pm EST

you adam fans need to chill. don’t EVEN dare to compare adam to MJ. absolutely rude, obsessed, insane people. you all will be doing everyone else a huge favor by only showing up for adam’s set. seriously get help now!

Shirley | 6/26/2009, 11:15 pm EST

Can’t wait to see Adam in concert, and to buy his CDs. Don’t care who publishes it, as long as Adam says ok.

Suzanne | 6/26/2009, 11:23 pm EST

Decided not to attend the AI concert. I was shocked to see the prices on the tickets, and I only want to see Adam, so will wait for a “solo” concert from him. Would be glad to pay much more for that! Will buy his recordings AFTER the rip offs have all subsided and it’s truly ADAM as ADAM wants to be presented to his fans (his RCA label which he is working on for his dedicated fans right now). I’ll never buy another recording on HiFi label as I feel they are unscrupulous as hell. Scum bags. ADAM is the next American music icon. Love him to pieces.

Coral | 6/26/2009, 11:33 pm EST

I can’t wait to see Kris and Allison’s sets, those two kids are amazing. Hopefully, Matt will have more confidence on tour than he had on the show. Overall, it should be fun.

Beata | 6/26/2009, 11:48 pm EST

This is really interesting… almost everyone here says — that they going to AI concert because of ADAMazing… so am I… and because of that I am 100 % sure that voting this year was fixed.

Beata | 6/26/2009, 11:54 pm EST

Like everyone here I would go to AI concert only because of ADAM… I am missing him here in Florida ( will be out of the country), but I have tickets for IL concert… what I find interesting is that almost everyone here are going because of Adam and not Kris… because of that I am 100% sure that voting this year was fixed.

Dibaby | 6/26/2009, 11:59 pm EST

I’m going to see Adam and can hardly wait! Hoping he’ll wear those striped pants! Woohoo!

Tagrid | 6/27/2009, 12:10 am EST

Umm excuse me RS – but July 5 – Sept 15 is just OVER 2 months – not “under.” Oh I SO wish I could attend the tour – Auburn Hills outside of Detroit is soooo HUGE – it would be amazing to see Adam rock THAT house! And I’d LOVE to hear Adam do Bowie! Does AI ever put out a Tour Album? I WISH!

Dakota | 6/27/2009, 12:21 am EST

I hope all this love helps Adam know that the leaches who are riding his coattails should not dampen his excitement about his new life. We will be there for you for the next 20 or 30 years, Adam. Just keep being who you are now and doin’ what you are doin’

Dakota | 6/27/2009, 12:22 am EST

Oh yeah, and ROLLING STONE, you keep writing about Adam and we’ll keep reading and buying.

Millambert | 6/27/2009, 12:54 am EST

Oh! I’m so jealous of you guys! I’m live in Latin America and probably I will never can see Adam LIVE is SO FRUSTRATING… Adam is the reason for reading Rolling Stone or I’m glue in Internet seraching information, news, videos, etc. of him… I NEED MORE ADAM PLEASE!!!!
Adn please, in the concerts up hand and voices for Adam…. and down hand and #&*~ for Gokey and Co. ¡for all people we live out USA and we REALLY LOVE ADAM!! Now, Adam is the unique WORLD STAR ALIVE!!! Go Adam! I hope one day I met with you, at least in a live concert…. is my dream!! Greeting from Chile!!

MicheleDE | 6/27/2009, 1:06 am EST

I am hoping to get some tickets – I really want to see ADAM in the worst way! Especially since he’s doing the Bowie medley and that Muse song – I don’t even know that song, but I played it on youtube a couple of times now…. I’m sure he’ll be AMAZING as usual! So sad he’s had to put out all these “fires” – so wrong, wish they’d all just give him a break!
I adore you, ADAM!

JayJay | 6/27/2009, 1:12 am EST

I am going only because of Adam. We have a box in KC! Now about my backstage pass…..

xin | 6/27/2009, 1:22 am EST

See u on the tour adam,so exited!

Audrey | 6/27/2009, 1:32 am EST

Rip MJ!! The torch has now been passed (ADAM of course!!)

hihi | 6/27/2009, 1:56 am EST

love u KRIS!

maryann | 6/27/2009, 2:43 am EST

Wow, I so envy those who can watch Adam’s summer tour. I am from the Philippines and I miss watching Adam so much. I miss hearing his voice, his high notes that I love to hear, his dancing are superb and breathtaking. Miss him. All I can do now is just wait for his real album to come out, not the Heckler one.

madie | 6/27/2009, 2:44 am EST

ADAM, ADAM, ADAM….Miss watching you sing. Miss your dancing. Love you so much.

AussieFan | 6/27/2009, 3:45 am EST

This is one of the times when I wished I lived in the USA.
Bring on the world tour!!
Adam.Adam.Adam….

Marie4thofJuly | 6/27/2009, 4:16 am EST

I finally snagged 7 copies of RS cover Adam Lambert in this small, homophobic backwater I retired to by filing a grievance with all retailers that sell magazines once I heard a drug store employee state to me she self censored Lady Gaga cover as “against her religion”. Reported her to corporate and they fell all over themselves to give this old lady her beloved Adam Lambert fix! I have been to almost all AI concerts in DC and believe me, even the snooze fest contestants of the past were treated to something akin to Beatlemania, Jacksonmania cheers and ovations. I can only imagine what the response to Adam Lambert will be. This year good tickets sold out in a presale and nosebleed seats were gone rapidly to. I am now to disabled to take the Metrorail from the ‘burbs and then walk so much just to get to the venue, but oh how much I wish I could be there live. I will have to wait for an Adam only concert since frankly, the other contestants were a total snore all season long. Rock on Adam and RIP Michael.

Bren | 6/27/2009, 5:09 am EST

BRING IT ON ADAM!! “Sing the house down.” We know you can do it..just can’t hardly wait. By the way, I’m from the South (TX) and a devote Adam Lambert fan..

Lisa | 6/27/2009, 5:25 am EST

I was not going to go to the AI concert because I did not want to pay to see all the other idols and not just Adam….BUT, I am going, I have to go, how could I miss seeing Adam? He is going to be awesome….i will sit patiently waiting for him to get on stage as he is at the end, but I know, it will all be worth it!!!!!

Rose | 6/27/2009, 6:28 am EST

The only ones on tour that I’m excited to see are Adam, Allison, and Kris (In that order). No one really cares about the rest of them. I wasn’t going to go until I saw all the songs that Adam are doing. Who knows when he’ll go on tour next? This might be my only chance to see him live from the nosebleed seats.

Millie | 6/27/2009, 7:49 am EST

I have huge favor to ask to Adam’s fans.I can’t go because I live in Malaysia so you guys bring camera and record it & post in youtube. And that’s not a favor I’m looking for because you guys still do it even I don’t ask.The favor is when you record it,don’t move a bit.Be a statue and ask people around you to be quiet!Hard to do but I need a clear shot of Adam! Can’t they just sell it in CD?I’ll buy it,only Adam’s performance…ok Kris too, because Kris is a sweetheart!Delete Gokey completely!

Judes | 6/27/2009, 7:59 am EST

No wonder you are mostly Adams fans commenting seeing this music source & this article seems to be all about Adam.
As I am from Australia I can’t see the tour but I will be interested to see the videos especially Kris.
To the person who commented about Kris’s set & about Hey Jude , Adam said on the Seacrest show that its awesome – so maybe you should listen to him!!!
I am really alarmed at how many Adam fans are only interested in him on the tour – if I had the opportunity to see the tour I would want to see most of them – or at least give them some respect. After all they did make the Top 10!!

UyenLoveAdam | 6/27/2009, 10:43 am EST

Why wasn’t I born USA??Hix.I love you forever,Adam.Adam……

denise from S.A. | 6/27/2009, 10:50 am EST

Adam is the man! I might be 63 but I am like a teenage groupie, I cant get enough of his music and I love his way out look! When is Fall in U.S.A? I want to buy his C.D., hope it is a D.V.D. I can’t believe he didnt win. Are Americans scared of people who are different? How could they choose Chris over a super star like Adam.
Pls come to S.A. soon, I will be there!

Lorraine (Chatbrat11) | 6/27/2009, 11:56 am EST

I can’t wait for the Adam Lambert show. That’s gonna be the most exciting 5 song set in AI tour history!

I’ll be buying and gifting Adam’s real album by 19/RCA that comes out this Fall (not to be confused with the one that comes out as FAIL!).

I wonder which venue will set a record for the most underthings lobbed at a Glam-God? ;)

veronica | 6/27/2009, 11:57 am EST

WOW,
AI can be cheesy but Lambert has been working steadily in the entertainment business for 8 years (sans contract) like many struggling, talented artists. Give him a chance. He’s truly talented.

Mike | 6/27/2009, 12:11 pm EST

Too bad I can’t attend the AI tour, but definitely will show up for Adam’s solo tour. Please make a good video on youtube for the rest of us who can’t attend the tour.

Lamberkitten - UK | 6/27/2009, 12:41 pm EST

Coming to the US from UK in September specially to see Adam. Can’t wait! Adam is world-class!

LilyX13 | 6/27/2009, 12:56 pm EST

“You could say that. I’m like a fireman… and a firestarter at the same time.” Haha! Damn.. Adam always says these statements that make everything seem SeXy & HOT! I Heart you Adam

richlambertfan | 6/27/2009, 3:49 pm EST

very sad wont be able to see the A1 concert tour…but we are hoping Adam will come to do his solo concert here in Israel…we love u Adam ,now that Mj has passed away his throne is all yours.

Barbara | 6/27/2009, 4:08 pm EST

I feel sorry for Kris because it will be painfully obvious night after night that the best man did not win. Kris will never be able to top Adam’s talent and showmanship. I am sure Adam will have the fans going crazy and then Kris will be a boring end to the show.Arkansas did him no favors when they cheated.

Dsp | 6/27/2009, 4:31 pm EST

Thank you so much for covering Adam lambert- i can’t seem to get enough of him. I am still waiting for you to release the rest of those awesome pics taken during the cover shoot. namely the pics of him in the white shirt. Thanks on ur coverage

eve | 6/27/2009, 6:29 pm EST

I’m not going to the tour cause it would be a waste of money. All I want to see is Adam.Everyone besides Adam,Allison, and Kris is a waste of time and money.I Hate Gokey and Sarver they are mean-spirited people and have no talent.Who ever is going to the tour please boo Gokey and Sarver for me.I will Buy Adam’s CD in the fall and go to any of his solo tours.ADAM LAMBERT ROCKS!

Rock on, Adam! | 6/27/2009, 8:39 pm EST

I’m going to see Adam and can hardly wait! Hoping he’ll wear those striped pants! Woohoo!

Omg, yessss, the sexy striped pantssss. I’m also going on the tour just for Adam. I’m DYING for an opportunity for a Meet and Greet. If I do get to do one, I’m praying that I don’t faint. But I will anyway. Love you Adam!

cindy | 6/27/2009, 10:34 pm EST

I am going on the tour to see MATT GIRAUD!
He is so underrated. He will be a success. Mark my words.

cindy | 6/27/2009, 10:34 pm EST

I am going on the tour to see MATT GIRAUD!
He is so underrated. He will be a success. Mark my words.

marciej | 6/28/2009, 1:26 am EST

I’m going to Staples Center on July 16th to see Kris, Adam and Allison. But I’m not going to disrespect any of the others by walking out. Anyone who walks out after Adam’s set is just being a jerk. Kris is a talented musician in his own right. And who knows — if you stay to watch/listen, you might even enjoy it. Adam has already said that Kris’ version of “Hey Jude” is awesome. Besides that, Adam’s in the closing group number isn’t he? It’s a lot of $$$ to drop if you only want to hear just one person — maybe those people should just wait for Adam’s solo tour.

leileea | 6/28/2009, 1:30 am EST

it’s no debate that Adam is the best but…I think I like them all in their own way.

eric | 6/28/2009, 9:50 am EST

barbara you are a stupid b**** the bring your ear plugs to hear adam scream his way through bad song after bad song cant wait to see kris

Adam's uk fan | 6/28/2009, 11:15 am EST

I must admit that I’m a bit jealous of those Adam fans who can attend the AI tour in one of the 50 cities. I wish Adam could come to UK to perform in TV and/or concerts soon.
Meanwhile I’m still waiting for the Rolling Stone magazine with Adam on its cover. A few more days to wait.
Thank you RS for keeping us informed about Adam and the AI tour! Adam, you rock!

Enchanted | 6/28/2009, 1:10 pm EST

So many of you people are rude! It is not all about Adam Lambert. Kris Allen is a wonderful singer and I believe performed some of the very best songs on the show. Allison is amazing and so is Matt Giraud and all the others. Stop treating Kris like he sucks and that Adam is the only one worth seeing. It makes me sick!

Rose | 6/28/2009, 3:20 pm EST

I can’t wait to see Adam perform in Tampa. I can’t wait for his CD. Adam has the whole package and is truly a World Super-Star.
GO ADAM———-

Roby | 6/28/2009, 6:33 pm EST

Of course it is all about Adam, but Adam fans also know that Adam likes Kris a lot. Most Adam fans therefore will treat Kris with respect. A friend of Adam’s is my friend too. Now, Gokey and Saver, that’s a different story. If Adam did not have to spend the entire summer on one little tour bus with them … well, for Adam’s sake I will simply and politely withhold my applause. This is not rude at all. Applause for the artist is the immediate reward for the performance; the greater the performance the greater the applause and vice versa. Adam, you are so special. People of all ages and on all continents love and adore you.

ewf | 6/28/2009, 7:12 pm EST

Adam Lambert is the reason I’m going to the concert. He has so much carisma, I can’t get enough of that guy!!!!!LOVE YOU ADAM :)

luvadm | 6/28/2009, 7:18 pm EST

This is crazy, almost everyone who posts is going to the concert mainly to see Adam…ME TOO!!!!LOVE YA ADAM LAMBERT

adamwhoo! | 6/28/2009, 7:33 pm EST

at i’m only going for adam if there is other people going for someone else , but its still okay to be there for your favorite

Kareoke Hero | 6/28/2009, 8:33 pm EST

… or you could just drop into any dodgy pub around the corner and hear some b grade kareoke for free.

Personally id suggest you see some actual artists who write their own music!

iloveadam | 6/28/2009, 9:57 pm EST

Michael Jackson will live forever in his music. Thank u for inspiring so many artists…including our Adam!!!
it’s too bad we never got to see them sing black or white together…that would’ve been awesome!

Sarah | 6/28/2009, 10:38 pm EST

Adam fans, be happy Kris walked away with the title…otherwise Adam would have had to sing the awful “No Boundaries” as part of his set list.

I already have my tickets- can’t WAIT to see Adam and brag that I saw him in on his first tour when he is a legend 20 years from now.

Kosha | 6/28/2009, 10:55 pm EST

ADAM! i love you.

One UK Fan | 6/29/2009, 10:32 am EST

I’ve just managed to transfer all Adam’s season 8 performance to CD and DVD last night… I am over the moon!!! This is just because we in UK don’t have any access to his materian from 19E but only NB.
I am so envy US people who is going to Adam Lambert Show (which otherwise gone by name of AI Tour)
Your guys, must tell us all about it and post anything and everthing in ytube, please

Emily mo | 6/29/2009, 1:34 pm EST

Go Matt!

TrustySam | 6/29/2009, 3:58 pm EST

oooh, I’m so excited for all the Idols – should be so much fun for them to be able to do what they love best, and feed off all that energy from the crowd . . . and get paid!

Congrats Idols! Sooo happy for all of you! Enjoy! :)

Anne | 6/29/2009, 9:43 pm EST

I think everyone going to see the AI concert will have their favorites. Just so happens that most of us have the same favorite – His Royal Technicolor Hotness !!

Anonymous | 6/29/2009, 10:24 pm EST

I didn’t read ALL the comments so bear with me if someone already covered this. To the people who are saying things like, “I’m just going to see Adam, Kriss, and Allison,”and other rude things like that. would you say that If they were standing right next to you?? seriously, would you? Be careful what you say on the interweb, it might come back to haunt you. I think everyone one of the AI top ten have wonderful voices. Adam just happens to be the most charismatic and entertaining. Does mean their not.

ewt | 6/29/2009, 10:55 pm EST

Adam, you are gorgeous…I will buy anything and everything you sing. I LOVE YOU

JAN LYNN | 6/30/2009, 3:25 am EST

I HAVE TO BE HONEST. GOING TO THE
TAMPA,FL CONCERT ONLY TO SEE
MR. ADAM LAMBERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LUV HIS VOCALS AND STYLE.
I CAN PATIENTLY WAIT FOR ADAM’S SET,
EXCEPT FOR DANNY AND MICHAEL, I
WISH THOSE TWO WERE NOT PERFORMING.
ROCK ON ADAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cynthia | 6/30/2009, 3:34 am EST

I heard Adam is going to sing Muse’s “Starlight” on Idol tour. Somebody please post it on You Tube for those of us who are unfortunately unable to watch him alive. I swear it could be Adam singing in falsetto in “Supermassive Black Hole” instead of Matthew. They sound so alike in this song.

Love | 6/30/2009, 5:17 am EST

Please do not get over your heads. Adam has a lot to do before the torch of MJ can be passed to Adam. Honestly, I’m not to happy at the song selections… but whatever, I guess I’m going to see them.
Anyway, Kris and Adam you’re sexy!

One UK Fan | 6/30/2009, 12:24 pm EST

Let’s just not to compare Adam with MJ or Elvis? They are/were up there because they were unique and mega talented and oozed with charisma. We already identified all those qualities in our Adam, so we only hope that he will make big as they were one day. But I am just so happy and blessed that I found him in my life time.

Alysse | 6/30/2009, 12:51 pm EST

Adam will NOT be an MJ or Elvis. No one from this crummy show will be an MJ or Elvis. Get over yourselves.

Angel | 6/30/2009, 1:10 pm EST

I grieved the loss of MICHAEL JACKSON, the greatest entertainer in both singing and dancing. I cried every time his video is playing especially when he was young. I’m over 50 and I’ve been a great fan of MJ from ‘69 to now. I felt relieved after my daughter told me, “He’s at peace now, Mom! He’s better off now.” I prayed for him during his trial that GOD may give a verdict that’s good for his soul. I believe he has a beautiful soul but misunderstood. You will live forever in our hearts, Michael. Thank you for what you have given the world which will last forever and never forgotten.
I’m a fan of ADAM from his audition. But I fell in love with him when he electrified the AI audience with his Black or White rendition and shreds the competition that early. I was simply stunned and in awe! And I just asked. “Where have you been, ADAM?”
Now that MJ is gone, it’s so consoling that there’s something to look forward to and get excited about: ADAM LAMBERT!
I thank GOD for Michael and now ADAM!

Glamazon | 6/30/2009, 1:57 pm EST

So far, (as I suspected) the bulk of everyone posting here is going to the American Idol concerts strictly for Adam. I think this is a trend that will be played out city after city on the tour as loyal Glamberts don their black, blue and silver outfits and show who they love, respect, admire and financially support!!! Adam Rocks – Go Adam!!! Thanks RollingStone for the coverage and for the amazing issue with Adam!!!

Catalina | 6/30/2009, 3:51 pm EST

I can’t wait to see Adam back home in San Diego! His set list is sick- Mad World, Starlight, a mix mash of Life on Mars, Fame, and Let’s Dance, and maybe even Whole Lotta Love!! Are you freakin’ kidding me? Screw Idol, this guy is a star!

1982 | 6/30/2009, 8:59 pm EST

Thank you Rolling Stone for supporting Adam Lambert you are great. I agree most of this Idol tour will be for Lambert fans. That is so awesome he will be doing Bowie songs. That AI is a joke, they replayed a tribute last night from NJ night for more ratings. They will need it I still think they will lose alot of viewers next season do to the Lambert controversy. Kudos to all 10 of them though, I am sure it will be a great show!

Michael Buter | 6/30/2009, 9:01 pm EST

All this post-death hysteria about Jackson’s mark on music is nauseating! He made 3 good albums that are particularly noteworthy: Off The Wall, Thriller, and Bad! The rest is plain mediocrity! Get real and stop holding him up as some kind of prodigy or genius! He wasn’t either of these things!

Sony2009 | 6/30/2009, 9:37 pm EST

“Post death” hysteria regarding Michael Jackson. You have to be insane poster Michael Buter. Michael Jackson was a legend. This was a tradegy that happened in the musical world. In the likes of the deaths of Elvis & John Lennon. He was an international star. FYI Dangerous & History were top selling albums as well. Plus the man started at the age of 5 on national tv. Have a little respect and it is actually nauseating to read comments from degrading emotionless people such as yourself, thats what’s nauseating.

Hayllie! | 6/30/2009, 9:53 pm EST

SOMEONE PLEASE post adams, kris’,allisons….you know everyones videos on youtube! i unfortoneatly cannot go…i live on the east coast in virgina near richmond-and the closest place is DC! and thats still a ways away…i guess ill just go when adam goes on his own tour! and allisons and kris’ too!

RoRo | 6/30/2009, 10:22 pm EST

You sure are lookin’ mighty close, “Huh”. You interested?

RoRo | 6/30/2009, 10:36 pm EST

I look forward to an outstanding concert and think that several are particularly talented and will put on a great show. Everyone has their favorite and I’m no different, but I don’t want to “Kiss and Tell”. I hope Lambert’s record probs don’t go legal. He’s right out of the starting gate and doesn’t need these kinds of headaches, along with a tour starting. Don’t they have “Entertainment” attorneys who specialize in recording contract stuff? Hopefully he’s got an advisor.

Teri63 | 6/30/2009, 10:43 pm EST

You’re right, Alysse, Adam will NOT be an MJ or Elvis — he’ll be ADAM! He’ll be his own, fab self! I can’t wait to listen to everything he sings!

marie | 6/30/2009, 11:25 pm EST

I’m sooo exited to see the show in milwakee! i like the song choices what are listed here. its great to see adam lambert is going to take on some new songs. i get to see my favorite idol performances from kris allen, matt giraud, and anoop desai. so whoooot!!! so happy!

ame | 7/1/2009, 3:48 am EST

Dear Adam, I understand exactly how you felt when you met Madonna. I wouldn’t react much if I ever got the chance to meet Madonna or any other celebrity but if you ever had the misfortune to meet me, I would probably react the same way you did. I say misfortune cause you would have to deal with a blubbering, stammering, shaking fool, who would probably drop dead at the sight of you (meeting you would be too much for my cholesterol-laden heart). Or worse faint with excitement. Faint is worse, if you take into account my massive size. Would probably cause an earthquake. If you see me, run Adam. Massive die-hard fans like me would be more than you could ever handle.
Sigh…. :)

... | 7/1/2009, 8:49 am EST

adam, if i meet u i will stutter also… u raWK!!!

JenaG | 7/1/2009, 1:26 pm EST

I absolutely love and adore Adam! His set is going to bring the house down. Some really awesome songs and Adam will do more than justice to each one. Poor Kris wont stand a chance following Adam.

AdamssAngel | 7/2/2009, 12:08 am EST

Thank you so much Rolling Stone for your great support of Adam Lambert in the early days of his spectacular career! Adam Lambert is about to set the world on fire, igniting everything in his path, and it will be a joy to watch it all develop. He is the closing of a circle begun with Elvis in the last generation, and the opening of the next for a new generation. As soon as he is free of his tour obligations, he will rocket onto the world stage. He is our beautiful dark horse with hidden wings and a heart of gold. How wonderful to be here at the start of his meteoric rise!

I can’t wait to see what Adam can do…bring it Adam, do something outrageous! don’t do songs that you alreadu did on AL..Shock us with something new & sick!

sura | 7/2/2009, 12:52 pm EST

Alysse: It has nothing to do with what show he was on. Adam has major, major talent. He has more potential to be the next MJ, or Elvis, than anyone in a long time. He knows what he’s doing and he is not like anyone else out there right now. He’s trying new things and I think he’ll have a huge impact on music.

sura | 7/2/2009, 12:52 pm EST

Out of respect for ADAM, I think we as his loyal fans should show some support for KRIS and ALLISON, as ADAM seems to genuinely SUPPORT them, don’t you think? As for GOKEY he can sing anything but for the sake of you ticket holders, I certainly hope it is NOT “SCREAM ON”. LOL

Lace | 7/2/2009, 4:21 pm EST

I’m so excited to be going to the AI concert! I can’t wait to see Adam live! He’s gonna rock the stage! I’m excited to see all of the top 10 but Adam’s definitely my fav! I would travel a great distance just to see him live… luckily I only have to go about 4 hours though! AND I get to see David Cook in about 2 weeks! WHOO HOO!!

Ashley | 7/2/2009, 4:56 pm EST

I absolutely love both Adam and Kris. I personally think both of them will have huge careers.

EUGENE | 7/2/2009, 5:13 pm EST

THANK YOU ROLLING STONE FOR THE COVER OF ADAM LAMBERT,OUR BOY WILL SOAR LIKE A EAGLE!!!!I HAVE 5TH ROW CENTER STAGE TICKETS FOR THE JULY 22ND SHOW AND THE ONLY REASON I AS A 60 YEAR OLD MAN WOULD GO IS BECAUSE ADAM LAMBERT WILL BE THERE!!!!!!!HE IS A HUGE TALENT AND IT IS CRIME THAT HE DID NOT WIN IDOL BUT HE AND MILLIONS OF HIS FANS ALL OVER THE WORLD WILL GET THE LAST WORD!!!!!!! WORLD IDOL!!!!!!!!!!ROCK ON ADAM!!!!!!!

cindyg | 7/2/2009, 5:15 pm EST

Kris is my favorite by a mile and I can’t wait to hear his version of “Hey Jude”. I’m sure he’s going to be awesome. I love his voice and his type of music more than the others. He’s just so heartfelt and when he sings he really feels the music and he makes me feel it too. But I think they are all talented in their own way. Adam is always entertaining. I don’t think I could sit and listen to a whole album of his, but his years in the theater helped him learn to really project his voice on stage and he adds all of that drama that makes for an impressive live show. Allison is a little little spit fire! lol I think Matt has a great soulful voice. Actually, I’m looking forward to seeing all of the top 10. It’s going to be a fun show.

Regina | 7/2/2009, 5:35 pm EST

I am in love with ADAM LAMBERT..
thank you sooo much rolling stone for the amazing cover and interview.. I want everything about Adam..

I´ll support him forever!

Hera | 7/2/2009, 5:48 pm EST

Just because Adam fans are more vocal doesn’t mean that he has more fans and there wont be people going to see the others. You guys are insane. Get over yourselves and show some respect. You are just making yourselves look bad. Why don’t you show some class like the guy you are following.

And it’s laughable to compare Adam Lambert to the likes of MJ and Elvis when he hasn;t even put out an album yet. When he sells hundreds of million of records and influences many musicians who follow him, then come talk to me. Until then…pffft

Zoey | 7/2/2009, 7:20 pm EST

Thank you RS for putting Adam on the cover of the latest issue! I am such a big fan and absolutely love his music and style! Having said that, I can’t wait for the idol tour, to see all the top 10, but IN PARTICULAR Adam!

zoe | 7/2/2009, 7:22 pm EST

THANK YOU RS for putting Adam on the most recent cover. I am a big fan and absolutely love his music and style! Having said that, I can’t wait to see the top 10 at the Idols live tour, ESPECIALLY ADAM!

dlt | 7/2/2009, 8:35 pm EST

Don’t dwink milk before you sing

Jenn | 7/2/2009, 9:24 pm EST

It is so unusual to see a talent like Adam’s bloom so if we seem a little over the top about him, well just remember when the Beatles came to the US or when MJ did the moon walk and laugh it up. Sounds crazy I know – but the guy has more than a lot of talent, he has it all!! The whole magical package. Wish the whole top 13 well though and love Kris and Adam’s friendship. Kris is adorable and love Allison too.

peggy | 7/2/2009, 9:37 pm EST

I really agree with a lot of you fans…I wish it was all Adam cause the rest of AI was boring this year….Allison and Adam doing Slow Ride should be good but it is not a very long song….
I agree that I wish Adam would of kept some of the stuff he says quiet, and i hope that he goes a long ways in his career…Beleive me I am older than the average bear, also and now that both of my favorites are gone (Elvis and Michael) we have to have a new one…..I know all of these idols are friends of yours, Adam, but you are the one that 9 of us ladies are coming to see on stage……May bring a book while you aren’t on stage….Ha…not really….

Donna | 7/2/2009, 9:44 pm EST

Adam is AWESOME….Gosh, do you mean we have to listen to 4 songs by Gokey. Where is our ear plugs…UGH….We are going to Kansas city, Missouri to see Adam….for sure he is it……Be waitin to see you Adam…Lots of money for 9 tickets so hope we get our money’s worth…Only one worth watching…Waited all AI season every week to see Adam and Allison…

Steph | 7/3/2009, 1:21 am EST

We can’t wait to see SCOTT!! We have a group of 15 going to Sacramento, and a group of 35 to Staples Center in LA! We’ll be in RED Scott! We got tickets in the ticketmaster presale on May 8th so we’re up close and personal! Scott – you better have future plans so we can see you more often! Oh – and we love Kris too!! Maybe just a tad less than Scott!

One UK Fan | 7/3/2009, 4:41 am EST

RS with Adam’s cover finally arrived in UK and I got a copy, Yehy!!! I already know the contents so I just gazed his face and never get bored – this say a lot for the person with a very short attention span and patience.
He looks a million $ on the cover.

Francis | 7/3/2009, 5:13 am EST

Listening to Adam’s songs fill me deeply with warmth and joy surprised by my unsuspected tears. Feeling refresh, give thanks to the Lord Jesus for Adam Lambert!!

ADAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

doona | 7/3/2009, 12:57 pm EST

I just don’t get it all the hoopla for Adam, just like I didn’t get it for Clay Aiken.Adam comes off as a wannabe rocker to me, he doesn’t pull it off. He’d do better on broadway.I am soo glad Kris won.

I’ve never really been a huge Michael Jackson fan (maybe when I was little) but he did have talent. I feel empathy for his life and what he had to endure.

Heaven is crazy about kris! | 7/3/2009, 1:36 pm EST

I lives far away outside of USA.. If AI tour just in the same continent, I would love to chase AI ticket, just to see my beloved favourite ADAM LAMBERT… not for the rest od boring AI member!!!

If AI tour come to my city, if there is no ADAM, then do not expect I will spend any cent to buy ticket!! NO way.. Only Adam can make me to buy ticket…. I love you Adam…

mistyluv7 | 7/3/2009, 2:40 pm EST

Adam, Alison, Kris and Anoop in that order. Those are the one’s I coming to see. They are the only ones with real staying power. IMO !
Megan,Danny and Sarver….I’ll pass. I think what turns me off of them is their behavior. They need to take lessons from Adam in how to shine from the inside out.

Aimee | 7/3/2009, 4:17 pm EST

I can’t wait to see Kris Allen!! I’m gonna go to 2 shows, just because of him! I love the songs he chose too!

Savannah Swift | 7/3/2009, 6:04 pm EST

Adam = excitement. Can’t wait!

dlt | 7/3/2009, 7:14 pm EST

In 1969, Michael Jackson was Mini James Brown, kinda. He was, however, a better (cuter)crooner than Brown.

Jackson couldn’t call himself the King of Rock; that title–Elvis, Jerry Lee, Chuck Berry, etc.–had already been taken. So he sold himself short, called himself the King of Pop, Mediocrity.

Real artists are themselves. But you can’t be yourself in high school, or in pop. And (unless you’re real lucky, dead) art don’t pay

irismarie | 7/3/2009, 7:44 pm EST

thank you RS for all your news about Adam. We cant get enough of his talent and his hotness inspite of the fact. His charisma is so out of this world and I don’t think he’s got a clue of how much craziness is going to befall on him. His performances are all memorable…his interviews are exciting and awesome…very intelligent guy gifted with hotness and sexiness that’s addicting even to the not so very young…the finale of AI won’t be as memorable without him…and nobody can refute that fact…

bridgette | 7/3/2009, 10:58 pm EST

I want to see Adam and Allison, that’s all. The two most talented singers, both with a great singer. As soon as Adam finishes his set, I am heading for the door. Kris is a nice guy, but why would I stick around to hear Hey Jude and No Boundaries. Plus, I can avoid hearing the group song at the end. I would rather be tortured then listen to eleven people try to sing a song meant for one person or a duo.

Nina | 7/3/2009, 11:04 pm EST

I love you Adam Lambert.

zingo | 7/4/2009, 10:43 pm EST

We can not wait to see Adam in Tampa He is the most talented singer to come along in years He can make you feel every emotion when he sings We all are so excited to see him! He is the only reason we paid crazy prices for the tickets ADAM me and my friends and family LOVE you

Janet | 7/5/2009, 2:14 am EST

I don’t know if I will be going to the stop in Milwaukee, WI because I don’t think i can stomach so many Gokey fans acting like Gokey is something special. He even said he couldn’t wait for that show because he felt he will get all the attention. I can not stand his over inflated ego. If I can get tickets I will go to the Madison,WI show in August.
And yes I will be going on account of ADAM! While the others do there own thing it just doesn’t excite me, but Adam…I have not felt this revved up over an artist in a long time!

Janet | 7/5/2009, 2:19 am EST

Also RS, I am a little po’ed. I subscribed to RS weeks before Adams cover was to be released and I had to buy one off the shelf anyway. I subscribed solely to get that cover, My first mag came a few days ago w/Jonas Brothers cover? So disappointed:(

dlt | 7/5/2009, 7:17 am EST

Adam Lambert and the Jonas Bros.– what’s the difference? It’s not like we’re talking about the difference between Billy Ray (Achy Breaky Heart) Cyrus and Mozart

Kathy | 7/5/2009, 9:49 am EST

Thank you RS for all your articles about Adam, and the cover of him was your best ever. Can hardly wait for the Idols tour here…going only to see Adam. I love you Adam Mitchel Lambert!!!

Excited! | 7/5/2009, 7:10 pm EST

The ones I’m coming to see are Adam and Allison. I think I’ll also enjoy Kris and Anoop’s sets.

I thought Danny and Matt were overrated, Scott, Megan, and Sarver just weren’t good singers.

One UK Fan | 7/6/2009, 8:31 am EST

Would anybody who went yesterday’s 1st AI tour tell me how it went, please???

One UK Fan | 7/6/2009, 9:49 am EST

I know for sure that Adam brought house down but need confirmation and details!!!!

Millambert | 7/6/2009, 1:54 pm EST

This is an act of love: Tonight many latin americans fans of Adam (we live in Chile, Argentina, Perú, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, etc.) we reunited in a chat and listened the concert ina transmission by cell phone…¡only the audio! and the sound was cut each 20 seconds, but nothing was important in that moment, We can hear a few notes of Adam was a gift!! The begining was a torture with the others “idols”… so boring… Allison was very good!, then Gokey… terrible, and then… the Master, the best, the hottest, the angel of my heaven: Adam Lambert… the chat was collapsed , over 3.800 conections to chat for Adam… was fantastic!! Meanwhile we search photos by Twitter and shared… all this for Adam… When Adam ends… the connections to chat down inmediatly! Was amazing! All our effort for try to listen to Adam, at least a mini-part of his songs. Personally I could listened a part of Whole Lotte Love and Mad World… Imagine that, all effort for that and you can watch him live… !!! You are so privileged!! Please support Adam always, and we… well, we hope that some day Adam come to Latin America (is so frustrating). Love Adam and thanks Rolling Store for all coverage!!

AdoringAdam | 7/6/2009, 8:30 pm EST

I read that Adam blew everybody else away at the show in Portland.

Bella | 7/6/2009, 10:43 pm EST

I was at the concert last night in Portland. Adam brought down the house! From the moment Danny finished his set the whole audience stood up in anticipation of Adam! He started with “Whole Lotta Love” and the energy in the place was incredible! We got to go to the After Show and met all the Idols! Adam is a class act and a sweetheart!

Kathy | 7/7/2009, 12:12 am EST

I saw the July 5 Portland show and it was great! The top 4 sang after intermission and Allison really did well. A Danny Gokey fan sat next to me and liked his set, seemed sort of annoyed to be surrounded by Adam fans. Even before the show began, they ran a video slideshow of the Idols’ faces and the crowd went nuts over Adam’s photo. When he came onto the stage it was non-stop crazy applause. He sang great and DANCED up a storm. Kris was warmly welcomed also and did a nice job. The final song will all 10 was entertaining too. I see videos of the concert are already on Youtube. The sound isn’t perfect but I could actually see more costume details than in real life!
After Adam’s great set the applause went on long after he left the stage, easy to see that he will be a very big star. When he took off his jacket for the Bowie songs and turned up in a sleeveless vest, the crowd went wild again. My 20 year old grandson was with me and didn’t watch the Idol shows but picked Adam and Allison as his favorites last night.

RJ | 7/7/2009, 3:44 am EST

I’m from Philippines and my whole family loves Adam so much.Hope he will have a concert here.I don’t spend money for CDs but I will definitely buy his CD.ADAM Rocks!!!!

GO ADAM LAMBERT….. YOU ROCK!!!

Alexander Winchester | 7/12/2009, 2:08 am EST

I got to say, Idol and is exactly the problem with modern rock. Toss in with it the obvious impact that corprate cost/benefit assessment of what music will sell and what won’t and you see the present state of the music industry. There are not any risk taker in terms of creativity and doing something original, and if there is know that they will be ostrasized by not only the media by their peers. Honestly, what have these “game show winners” contributed to the arts?? Do we know who writes their songs, and how many of these people will we remember in the next 20 yrs. LEts face it these game show winners are not going to be the next Jim Morrison, David Bowie, John Lennon, or Elvis Presely. I get it the writers need a story but for gods sake man, call them what they are (GAME SHOW WINNERS).

dlt | 7/12/2009, 8:19 am EST

Just got back from the Miss competiton. My neice, pretty much the only singer there, didn’t win anything. One girl got an award for raising money, generating public interest for future Miss contests.

You don’t have to be clean to be a hophead

London | 7/13/2009, 12:14 pm EST

Thanks RS! You guys know in your heart that Adam Lambert’s Brilliant Talent and his animal magnetism will explode into a Huge World Mega Star! Iconic and breathtaking with every outrageous move..Thank God for Mr. Lambert !!

K WHITE | 7/13/2009, 12:33 pm EST

THERE IS NO ONE TO GO AND SEE EXCEPT FOR ADAM….KRIS SOUNDS LIKE A THOUSAND OTHERS, AND HE’S SHORT AND GEEKY. (NO OFFENSE TO HIS FANS, EVERYONE HAS LOW STANDARDS AT TIMES). AND FOR THE PEOPLE SAYING……DON’T BE NASTY TO OR ABOUT THE OTHER SINGERS, ADAM WOULD NOT LIKE IT……HMMMM, NEXT YEAR ADAM WON’T EVEN BE TALKING TO KRIS. THEY ARE WORLDS APART IN TALENT, THEREFORE, ADAM WILL BE WORLDS AWAY FROM HIM BEING “ADAM”. AS LONG AS “OUR MAN” CAN STAY AWAY FROM DRUGS, AND HAS SUPPORTERS INSTEAD OF KNIVES SHOVED IN HIS BACK, WE HAVE THE NEXT SUPERSTAR.

dlt | 7/14/2009, 10:03 am EST

Yeah, Kris played the classic Lambert/Cowell piece, And I Slept All Duh Way To Duh Bank. I am a virtual soap opera (pronounced Oprah), star

jon martin | 7/16/2009, 1:08 am EST

commander david bowie hates you for ruining The Greatest Music To Ever Grace The Earth

Sam | 7/16/2009, 9:02 am EST

Oh Gosh, ADAM is going to be one of the greates entertainer in the history!!! RARE RARE TALENT!

dlt | 7/17/2009, 6:51 am EST

Like what Walt Whitman said: a karaoke singer w/ a “rare rare talent”

Sam | 7/17/2009, 10:31 am EST

Gosh! ADAM is so amazing!!! his voice is just unbelieable!!! Such a joy to wath him!!!

I can’t get over how many fans of Adam there are, its crazy, i hate to admit my son made me a cd of Adams songs from the show and his pre-idol music and i can not stop playing it, it is insane, a very talented person and such a nice guy also, !!!

dlt | 7/17/2009, 6:11 pm EST

Tiger Beat bought out Rolling Stone.

The old Tiger Beat, Teen Beat, whatever. They are Bartok, Coltrane compared to American Idol

Anonymous | 7/19/2009, 9:57 am EST

If there is a rockstar in a making from this group, it’s definitely only one guy…Adam Lambert!

Elaine Glambert | 7/20/2009, 12:36 am EST

RS, Please put more articles and pics of Adam in future Issues. Can’t get enough. Superstar!!!

dlt | 7/20/2009, 6:31 am EST

OK, more pictures of Lambert (not Lilly). But what can you say about him? I read (browsed) the last article, in the edition nobody (for some reason) could find. There was nothin there.

Twenty, thirty, forty years ago you could read about an artist, find their artistic and political influences, etc. Now what you get is twenty-first century teenybop, who their going out w/, their worship at the altar of the Almighty Buck.

There are smaller magazines on the rise, w/ substance, for adults. Democracy in action

dlt | 7/20/2009, 6:34 am EST

who they’re going out w/

Anonymous | 7/20/2009, 5:09 pm EST

Gosh! Adam was freakin Amazing!!!

blonde64 | 7/21/2009, 5:53 pm EST

I just adore and love Adam Lambert!! I think the reason so many people love him so much is that not only is he incredibly talented, sexy, handsome, etc., he is such a nice guy. Adam you rock!!! Cant’ wait til your CD comes out. I haven’t been this excited about a new singer in a long time!

wicked glitter | 7/24/2009, 10:41 pm EST

omg someone posted above His Royal Technicolor Hotness. I love that. I hope the person who posted that (I think her name was Anne)doesn’t mind if I put that on a poster when I go to the Adam Lambert concert in Michigan at Auburn Hills. I just bought some glitter today, any suggestions, how I should wear it? Only nice suggestions. As Adam’s fans, we are always polite and perfect, just like he is.

diana | 8/27/2009, 12:26 pm EST
