Adam Lambert Did Write “On With The Show” Songs, Label Insists

After conflicting reports regarding whether the songs on Adam Lambert’s not-exactly-authorized album On With The Show were actually penned by the American Idol runner-up, Wilshire Records, who have already released first single “Want” to iTunes, told Us Weekly exclusively that Lambert did in fact write eight of the album’s 11 tracks. As Rock Daily reported, when news of the pre-Idol album broke, Lambert said in a statement that he had simply sung other people’s songs, and that the recordings dated back four years.

“Adam is now enjoying the success that he and Wilshire Records hoped for. However, he is now represented by high-profile companies who released a statement in Adam’s name saying the songs on On With the Show were recorded four years ago and Adam only contributed vocals. This is simply not true,” said a rep for Hi Fi Recordings, who will release On With The Show with Wilshire later this summer. “The songs were recorded in a professional recording studio with top notch musicians and producers since the music was always meant to be released. Of the 11 songs that will appear on the album, On With the Show, Adam co-wrote eight with Monte Pittman [Madonna's guitar player].” In our recent cover story, Lambert says he wrote songs with Pittman on GarageBand, and once fronted a metal band for the guitarist.

Both 19 Recordings and Lambert have made no effort to block the recording, which will precede Lambert’s official debut album later this year. Lambert may have good reason for allowing On With the Show to be released: Hi Fi’s rep adds “He has the chance, finally, to make a fortune for his work — definitely more with this album than through a major label deal.” Lambert, meanwhile, is already working with Lady Gaga producer RedOne and former Evanescence keyboardist Dave Hodges on his post-AI debut.

You can release 5 albums in 1 yesr Adam, we will all buy them.
Got all our dollars ready for the release of your album.

sidewalkstory | 6/24/2009, 6:16 pm EST

I’m sure there is some fine legal issue like Adam sneezed on the sheet music so it means he wrote it.

If HiFi was out to help Adam, where have they been for three years? They are nothing but bottom dwellers. I will not buy anything from them, including the work of their other artists.

Sorry... | 6/24/2009, 6:20 pm EST

I still don’t believe a word this guy says…his story keeps changing. He obviously doesn’t have the support of the artist. Adam’s music is moving in an entirely new direction…and the quality on these recordings is incredibly poor.

This guy just sounds desperate because Adam’s fans are boycotting this release due to its incredibly “fortuitous” timing. Stop reporting everything this guy says RS. Save any hype for Adam’s release in the fall.

Sara | 6/24/2009, 6:25 pm EST

If this guy wants to “help” Adam (as he says), and “not hurt his brand” I suggest he hold off on his release until AFTER Adam’s RCA album comes out. Then fans might actually buy it. Right now, they are too annoyed to do so.

Sharon | 6/24/2009, 6:37 pm EST

Wrote it or not, it’s still a crap. And not because of Adam, but because of the music production and the lousy arrangement of the song (I’m talking about “want”, cuz that’s the only song we know from this upcoming album). After listening to “want”, it’s obvious that the rest of the album won’t be that different, and that means one thing – A CRAP ALBUM.
We know Adam is very creative, it’s nothing new. The only thing that we should matter about is if Adam is approving this Album or not, and he’s not!!!!!
Hi-Fi, you make many people around the world very upset. You should know that, and may it be carried on your conscience forever!! You are only thinking about the money, not about Adam’s benefits (and his fans of course). WE DON’T LIKE IT, WE DON’T LIKE YOU!!!!!

Shalimar | 6/24/2009, 6:39 pm EST

PROVE that Adam will get royalties and that he approves of this release and timing. Then we will buy it.

SoHo | 6/24/2009, 6:45 pm EST

Did Adam specifically say not to buy this album? No. So people, go ahead and buy it. If people want to hear his voice then they should buy it. Is Adam making money off of this? Who cares. People will buy his music in the fall and he’ll be making millions then. Don’t let the crybabies stop you from listening to him sing.

Michelle | 6/24/2009, 6:49 pm EST

If Adam co-wrote 8 of the 11 songs, can Hecker please direct us to where they have been registered with BMI or ASCAP so Adam will have access to the royalties he speaks of? Adam only has 7 songs registered that I can find. All co-written with Monty Pittman, Want is not one of them.

Michelle | 6/24/2009, 6:52 pm EST

Forgot to mention all the registered Adam Lambert/Monty Pittman songs are all over You Tube. So nothing new there.

elw | 6/24/2009, 6:53 pm EST

We all must boycott this company, tell everyone how dishonest they are…it DISGUSTS me to know they are trying to make money off of Adam.

Leila | 6/24/2009, 7:07 pm EST

Don’t buy any crappy music with crappy lyrics and crappy sound tracks! Save your money for the real music in the FALL. Support RCA/19 all the way. They introduced Adam to the world not HI-FI!!!

kelly | 6/24/2009, 7:17 pm EST

ADAM GETS ROYALITIES AND ALSO SONGWRITER MONEY FOR THIS ALBUM. HE HAS MOVED ON WITH HIS STYLE, BUT THIS OLDER MATERIAL CAN MAKE A FORTUNE FOR HIM, SO WHO EXACTLY IS SAYING NOT TO BUY-SURE IS NO FAN.

Deanna | 6/24/2009, 7:26 pm EST

Mr. Hecker,
Adam Lambert has a huge fan base – like you didn’t already know this – and I am one. I do think people are mixing you (Hi Fi) up with Wilshire regarding Adam, and I am trying to give you the benefit of the doubt.

However, I did hear the recording of Want (titled December) by Dublyn Jones on the Wilshire website, before they snatched it down a few days ago. I would really like to hear you (or Wilshire) address the Dublyn Jones version and why they didn’t promote Adam in the first place. That would alleviate a lot of the fans feelings that Wilshire (and Hi Fi by association) are “riding the coattails” of this gifted performer, rather than recognizing and supporting him to begin with.

Like most fans, I love Adam’s voice on this song, even though the lyrics are pretty scant. But I’ve heard that Adam was not really allowed to sing some of the songs they way he wanted to – that he was asked to “tone them down” – and that Wilshire had no intention of promoting Adam at the time of recording. Although this is hearsay of course, I tend to believe this, based on the existence of December sung by Dublyn Jones.
Deanna

Shelley | 6/24/2009, 7:29 pm EST

I think it’s clear Adam didn’t write Want since it was actually recorded as another song called December by another Wilshire artist. I think this is something he went in and sang as a session singer as he said in his statement.

As for the rest of the material, I can’t venture an opinion because I don’t know what the material is. Hi Fi now says Adam owns some of the copyrights to the other material and if that’s the case it seems like he has legal standing to stop their release and this may be why Hi Fi hasn’t released anything other than Want.

I’m not going to buy Want because I don’t think Adam will get compensation for it and because he distanced himself from it. I’ll reserve judgment on the rest of the songs until I know what they are.

Darcey | 6/24/2009, 7:31 pm EST

I am going to buy Want. I will buy all of Adam’s music. Don’t much like being told what to do!

Hunter | 6/24/2009, 7:36 pm EST

I liked it I bought it. It sounds better then anything Kris Allen will record.

Joan, | 6/24/2009, 7:41 pm EST

Leigh, buying anything when the artist is exploited is a total shame! This is because of people like you that artist are stuggling if people refused to buy from companies that exploit starving artists they would stop doing it!

Ban buying anything for HI-FI!

EveGlambert | 6/24/2009, 7:43 pm EST

Dear Darcey.. You don’t much like being told what to do? Yet you do what Hi-Fi wants you to do, spent your money on a crappy song. Good job! LOL

EveGlambert | 6/24/2009, 7:43 pm EST

Dear Darcey.. You don’t much like being told what to do? Yet you do what Hi-Fi wants you to do, spent your money on a crappy song. Good job! LOL

Pam | 6/24/2009, 7:43 pm EST

We’ve gotten a statement from 19 on behalf of Adam, but haven’t truly heard how he feels about this single or this album. The media keeps telling us he’s pissed based on the same statement. Adam has never been shy about saying what he thinks. I find it a little odd that we haven’t heard more from him about it, even if it’s to reiterate the statement in person. Whether that means he’s on board with its release, I think is doubtful. But I have to wonder if the words in the statement reflect his true feelings about the song.

Jena | 6/24/2009, 7:44 pm EST

It’s simple, you like “Want” buy it, you don’t, then don’t buy it. People should STOP telling others what to do, jeez, get over your dramatic selves. ALL labels are unethical thieves, why isolate this one? Get Adam up in the charts and that will help a LOT more than doing little virtual ‘revolutions’, pathetic, we don’t even have all the facts straight. I bought the single from itunes and I don’t even own an ipod, I don’t support the Itune monopoly but just for Adam I went ahead and got the song. The one on my mp3 I got from somewhere else. *peace out*

vicki | 6/24/2009, 7:45 pm EST

i will NOT buy anything from this label UNTIL i know for sure that adam will get compensated for each sale, AND not until adam and his reps confirm what HIFI has said. otherwise, i won’t believe a word of what they say. if adam and his reps have no further comment, then i take that as a snub to what HIFI is up to.

Jasmin | 6/24/2009, 7:45 pm EST

If you love Adam and care about his future, DON’T BUY THIS CRAP!!!!

Beth | 6/24/2009, 7:46 pm EST

I’m sorry…whatever you guys say I am still buying “Want” I love it.

Ayana | 6/24/2009, 7:51 pm EST

If they thought the songs were brilliant, why didn’t they release it before? Because Adam is famous now and so they want some money? Wow. I am not buying this. I will wait for Adam’s real album. HiFi shame on you.

SK | 6/24/2009, 8:02 pm EST

“Adam is now enjoying the success that he and Wilshire Records hoped for.” And herein lies the issue. If Wilshire/HiFi were so interested in Adam’s success, where were they BEFORE? Adam’s vocal quality on Want is superb, but the production quality sucks. Is this the type of “quality” that Wilshire/HiFi produces for their “featured perfomers”? PULLESE. HiFi continues to embellish their “story” as Adam’s fans call bulls**t.

sidewalkstory | 6/24/2009, 8:02 pm EST

“Did Adam specifically say not to buy this album?”

No, because he can’t do that legally. HiFi could then sue him. Can nobody read between the lines here? RCA/Adam have their hands tied. Some of you need a lesson in Business 101.

Kitty | 6/24/2009, 8:09 pm EST

Adam himself stated that the reason he went on AI was to get a following because it was so difficult to do anything worthwhile without it, that’s why most of us didn’t know or hear of him! This is about Adam’s name and fame nothing else and I for one will support Adam’s name no matter where it’s coming from!

AdamFan! | 6/24/2009, 8:13 pm EST

I’m only listening to what Adam says – after all, he’s the musician and what he says goes. Those of us who care about what Adam says will listen to what he’s telling us.

funny | 6/24/2009, 8:16 pm EST

Hi/Fi is feeding the media all these statements for the free publicity…they have not spent any money in promoting ADAM or the image he created for himself.

They sent a false message to Perez Hilton it was NEW Album release! World Premiere! Due to demand it will be released this summer!

Viral marketing… they used the biggest gossip columnist to spread their little story!

Now every few hours Hi/FI sends another statement for Hacker to keep getting free publicity.

NOT BUYING IT! Waiting impatiently in the ATL for the real album!

Carrie | 6/24/2009, 8:17 pm EST

Another Adam Lambert coattail rider it seems! We love Adam and will support him with his NEW CD! These people obviously are releasing this now that Adam is a superstar! What Losers!

Lissa | 6/24/2009, 8:21 pm EST

As I understand it – if Adam changed a couple of notes while recording the demo songs – they can claim he is a “co-writer”. This is all very confusing. I wish Adam would make a definitive statement

Wanda | 6/24/2009, 8:32 pm EST

Well I wish they would wait and release it after Adam releases his fall RCA album. That will solve the problem. We will buy it then if it is marketed as PRE-Idol stuff, HiFi will make a little money, and Adam will have had his first real album released. World Peace will reign!

phaballa | 6/24/2009, 8:56 pm EST

If Adam wrote these songs, they would appear on BMI or ASCAP listings. They don’t. Adam has only 5 songs listed at either site, and those are songs he had posted on his MySpace previous to Idol. None of them appear on “On with the Show.”

anja | 6/24/2009, 8:58 pm EST

John Hecker and John Titta are exploiting BB’s stardom. What makes it worse is they are claiming that Adam will benefit from this – so sick like abusive parents. Its a shame and not only will I not but this album I wont buy anything from them.

meo | 6/24/2009, 9:01 pm EST

Whatever Hi Fi Recordings says, adam won’t promote it and I won’t buy it.

cindy | 6/24/2009, 9:10 pm EST

I’m waiting for 19/RCA album release and I will not support this money hungry HiFi release. Adam even said that this is not anything like the music he is putting out in the fall with the top notch producers. His real debut album will be with 19/RCA.

Lora | 6/24/2009, 9:10 pm EST

So many lies from HiFi…I will NOT buy anything from HiFi.

Sucks | 6/24/2009, 9:17 pm EST

HIFI you are ruining your own reputation. Why do you keep changing your stories all the time? LIESLIESLIES.I will not buy this crap. I will wait for adam’s real album.

Blakkrrox - Australia | 6/24/2009, 9:21 pm EST

Regardless of who wrote what, if it takes a record company THIS LONG to release something as hot as Adam, then I would want to know why. If they didn’t seize the opportunity and run with it, then I would question their vision.

Adam had his pre Idol world, and now he has his post Idol world.

I can’t wait to see and hear Adam’s new releases, which reflect his current vibe.

Thanx, Rolling Stone for the Adam issue. It’s awesome!

brea | 6/24/2009, 9:48 pm EST

Who cares.. I dont like this picture of Adam.. Still a fan..tired of the drama… Acceptance goes a long way..you drama junkies. relax.. it will work out!

GataBella | 6/24/2009, 9:52 pm EST

it is evident that adam wants us to wait till he has a chance to put out the amazing material he is writing with some of the best people in the world. why does hi-fi insist on beating him to the punch by releasing this, especially at this time? they should at least the decency to let adam put out the stuff HE clearly wants out there FIRST. personally, i am very eager for new material, but i am sitting on my hands until his REAL stuff comes out, goes multi-platinum, and earns him grammies.
adam and his talent are worth waiting for.

Sammy | 6/24/2009, 9:55 pm EST

The thing I find most curious is how Hecker keeps changing his story. First these were done in 07/08 right before Adam went on Idol. Then when Adam released his statement that this was session work he’d done in 05 they amended their statement to say it was a three year working relationship with Adam.

My guess is Adam was a session singer back in 2005 which is when he recorded Want and probably some other demos for them to shop the songs around. Then he joined up with Monte Pittman in 2006 and with the band The Citizen Vein and Monte and him wrote songs together and possibly recorded them using Wilshire’s studios. Perhaps Adam signed something allowing them to use any materials recorded in their studio who knows.

What I do know is that HiFi is working extra hard to make it seem like Adam is the one benefiting from the release of this album when in fact nothing could be further from the truth.

If the subpar production on Want is any indication of the quality of this album that will, in some way, reflect back onto Adam because the normal music buying public who isn’t online and in tune with this situation will think he approved this CD and is okay with the songs and production.

At least HiFi could’ve reworked the production on Want to match Adam’s amazing voice. As is, the voice is beautiful and moving but the production is crap.

I don’t believe in telling people what to do. You want to buy the music, buy it. Hell I might buy it myself because if I want it I should pay for it, someone worked on producting it afterall.

However, it galls me that Wilshire had Adam and could’ve given him an opportunity to be a recording artist years ago but clearly passed on him and now that he’s made a name for himself they are looking to cash in and worse trying to take some kind of credit for “discovering” him.

It’s wrong and there’s just no two ways around it.

Buy It Don't Be Stupid | 6/24/2009, 10:03 pm EST

Yeah, right, Adam Lambert wants everyone to make this little single fail so he can get more “bad press”. You people are nuts. It’s 45 on the Pop Chart now, if you had any sense you’d make it NUMBER ONE to shut up his detractors.

Rolling Stone, start publishing negative crap about Adam Lambert and we’ll boycott you next.

What’s the problem? After decades in music business Rolling Stone doesn’t know how to investigate this crap? More media manipulation.

The LEGION of Lambert devotees will not stand for media abuse of this kind, talented person. He was blessed with The Gift and work ethic and discipline. You can’t change that, media people.

Juicyfruit | 6/24/2009, 10:14 pm EST

I don’t get why HiFi doesn’t either wait or at least amend their promotion of the Album as Adam’s early work. Why piss off his fan base? Adam’s fans love him so why allienate them?

lou | 6/24/2009, 10:36 pm EST

I am buying it!!! Adam worked hard for it and this album is a part of the struggling Adam. Thank goodness, Wilshire did not promote him then for I believe the time was not right and Adam was not ready then. They have all the right to release this album so heck, let us make this No. 1 at the chart – which will only enhance Adam’s credibility.

Eva | 6/24/2009, 11:00 pm EST

Tired of “Adam this, Adam that”. Whateverrrrrr…. I’ll just wait for his albums, his songs, his music, and his performances

Cindy | 6/24/2009, 11:10 pm EST

Adam probably cannot promote this older work because of his new contract with 19. I would think he wouldn’t mind us buying this album as long as we buy his new one as well. I would like some proof that Adam is going to get paid real money for this album.

EUGENE | 6/24/2009, 11:11 pm EST

WANT IS GREAT,BUY IT PEOPLE,FOR GOD SAKE IT IS ADAM LAMBERT!!!!!SHOW YOUR PRE-IDOL SUPPORT FOR OUR BOY ADAM,MAKE IT NUMBER ONE!!!!!!!PEOPLE WILL JUDGE HIM BY THE SALES NO MATTER WHAT,BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bebe | 6/24/2009, 11:16 pm EST

I’m sorry. I thought Adam’s talent, charisma, courage, perseverance and brains were responsible for his new-found fame. My mistake. So I should be thanking Wilshire/HiFi for introducing this glam god to the masses? Who knew? Never mind “Mad World”, “Ring of Fire” and “Whole Lotta Love”. Gimme “Want”. I mean, really–I can finally delete all those disturbingly white-hot AI performances because now there’s a tin-can demo of a mediocre song Adam recorded 3+ years ago to pay his bills? Now that’s entertainment.

Devis | 6/24/2009, 11:21 pm EST

Heard the song, loved it, BOUGHT IT! although the lyrics are not all that great, I still liked it. So good effort Adam!Rock on Adam!

Dee | 6/24/2009, 11:26 pm EST

Not buying this. HiFi are putting out one desperate misleading press release after another because it looks like it’s the only way they are able to promote this stuff at all.

They’re trying to goad 19/RCA and Adam into releasing more statements because that would mean free publicity for HiFi but 19/RCA and Adam are not biting. It must be killing this jerk Hecker!

As for the songwriting credits? If Adam sang one note differently and changed even one word, they could claim that he “co-wrote” the songs. However, does ASCAP or BMI have a record of registration for these supposedly co-written 9 songs? No.

Adam only has 5 songs on there that are known and were done with his band Citizen Vein and are on Youtube.

Don’t believe these liars! Wait for the real deal in the fall. Adam is now working with RedOne, Ferras, Sam Sparro (from Twitter an hour ago) and other great people. Can’t wait!

tim | 6/24/2009, 11:51 pm EST

It doesn’t hurt to buy it, what will hurt Adam is if nobody buys it, they’ll say his “debut album” bombed. it’s still Adam’s voice singing the hell out of the phonebook. I actually liked it, so jonesin’ for anything Adam!

Cazana | 6/25/2009, 12:31 am EST

“Want” is NOT ADAM’S MUSIC! HiFi has no idea who Adam is. They never signed him. I simply just don’t trust HiFi. This whole thing smells. This is the only promotion HiFi can get and RS, desperate for another Adam story, seems happy to oblige.

doobler | 6/25/2009, 12:36 am EST

hope adam fades away right quick, just like the jonas brothers are doing now. we need to weed out all the talentless hacks and get real rock back

wtdp | 6/25/2009, 12:59 am EST

Label claims? LABEL LIES. Every time they make a statement they sound more desperate. Got caught, didn’t you Hecker? Better hold that album.

Marie4thofJuly | 6/25/2009, 1:08 am EST

Obviously, I am a lot older and wiser than the folks who have posted so far, just from reading the comments. I worked in the entertainment industry. I smell a big stink wafting by that is HIFI et al. I listened to Want after paying .99 on Itunes and I can hear that the one streaming on the website and the one on Itunes are different. In other words, the one they streamed at first was a DEMO meant to sell the song to another artist, which others have documented they did. The Itunes version just released satisfies me that a whole lot has been added after the fact by this indie label. I agree with the sentiment that this indie label is trying to ride Adam Lambert’s coat tails for some publicity. And all it cost me to figure that out was less than a dollar.

UGH | 6/25/2009, 1:11 am EST

HI-FI ARE LYING SCUMBAGS. GTFO!!

FAIL HI FI AND HECKER, FAIL. | 6/25/2009, 1:14 am EST

EXPLOITATION SHOULD NOT BE SUPPORTED. ADAM’S NOT GETTING A PENNY FROM THIS DESPITE HI-FI’S ATTEMPT TO CONVINCE YOU HE IS. THIS SH.IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. THE PRICE OF FAME. DO NOT BUT THE RECORDINGS.

OutlandoGirl | 6/25/2009, 1:57 am EST

If Want was really “recorded in a professional recording studio with top notch musicians and producers” then why does the music and production sound so cheesy? Like a 6th grader recorded it on a keyboard in his room? Adam’s vocals are the only good thing about the song.

Thanks, but I’ll wait for the REAL thing.

Blondiegrrl | 6/25/2009, 2:06 am EST

Suck it, Wilshire/Hi-Fi! My B.S. detector works just fine. Furthermore, how DARE you try to take credit for Adam’s success.

UK fan | 6/25/2009, 3:30 am EST

Although I think HiFi are simply greedy sleazeballs and not at all looking after Adam’s interests, how do we know that Adam isn’t going to benefit financially? Neither Adam nor RCA/19 have categorically said Adam will not benefit financially.

We need to think carefully about the wording of the various statements released. The more vague a statement, the less we should be trying to read something into it because we could be totally off the mark. Adam’s/RCA’s statements have been very vague as far as any financial reward is concerned. For this reason, we can’t go around saying Adam won’t get a penny from this.

Buster | 6/25/2009, 3:36 am EST

Completly agree with UKfan – everyone saying Adam isnt gonna get money from this, HOW DO YOU KNOW??? Adam never said that. If the album bombs, its worse for Adam anyway. Most people will think its becos adam is cr*p.

ENDEE23 | 6/25/2009, 3:36 am EST

I’VE BEEN DOUBTING ADAM FROM THE VERY VERY START THAT HE’S GAY…HES REAL SEXUALITY IS QUITE NOTICEABLE!!!..WELL I DON’T CARE ADAM..BE WHO YOU ARE, I ADMIRE YOU CO’Z YOU GOT SUCH NERVE TO CONFESS AS WELL AS TO DEFEND YOURSELF..LOVU YUO ADAM,,,UR ROCK!!!UMWAKKKSS!!!

ENDEE23 | 6/25/2009, 3:37 am EST

HI

One UK Fan | 6/25/2009, 5:39 am EST

I hear a lot of fans saying that they want Adam’s word and direction on this issue – you cannoty be so naive. Of course Adam cannot say anyting as biding by contracts with RCA.
As for this old materials it is very clear that he just done what he was hired for. He wasn’t there to contribute any shape or color as it wasn’t meant to be his album. If it was, why the HiFi didn’t release there and then???
Imagine you are young and poor desparate to pay the bills? It was a just job to him than anything else. If you like the song buy it (only cost you shy of $1 – you can afford this when you skip a cup of coffee in the cafe) but don’t by an album. If ‘Want’ done well in the chart this will benefit Adam at this moment but flop of Album won’t affect him since anyone can see that fan is no fool and his real cd will hit the chart very soon after this crap. Especially, Adam will be busy doing AI tour making everybody crazy and assure us who he really is and what he is standing for – lucky you, US fans!!!

Cameo Appearance | 6/25/2009, 6:12 am EST

The fact is we don’t know if this is going to benefit him financially or not. He has not told us. All he says is this is not his style of music. His dad said that at the time Adam was excited about going into the studio but not happy that Wilshire only let him sing the songs as written and not put his signature on it. Too bad they didn’t. Once again not much business sense on their part.

One UK Fan | 6/25/2009, 9:44 am EST

Don’t you think we are putting a difficult and unanswerable question to Adam again?
By meaning ‘Again’ as media hounded him relentlessly for his sexuality previously.
He can not say anything one way or another in this WANT issue.
Yes we don’t like the way HiFi acted but they can still hurt Adam if the song did poor sale.
All anti-Adam will have a field day saying his 15min fame is now up!!!!
So do what you think right but don’t say that you are awaiting to hear from Adam or start doubting his integrity.

terie D. | 7/1/2009, 3:11 pm EST

It has been stated on several websites that “Want” was recorded by another singer…………his name escapes me……..so where is this person? Why hasn’t he been interviewed? As for Monte Pittman, if he is such a good friend and collaborator where the H*** is he and why hasn’t he said anything? Seems to me HiFi is getting help from somewhere in keeping these people “hidden” from the press. I can’t believe that neither one of them hasn’t heard about this (crap) and if they have, why haven’t they said ANYTHING?????????? STRANGE!!!
