Pfft. Hey Jude’s a good song, but it’s overrated. Penny Lane, Oh! Darling, and Yesterday are definitely the top picks here.

He has written so many great songs…but a personal favourite of mine that’s not on the list is And I Love Her. Also Beatles tracks: Golden Slumbers, You Never Give Me Your Money, the list goes on. Wings songs: Single Pigeon, Hi Hi Hi, Mrs Vandebilt, Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey. I also love the album Ram. Most recently, Jenny Wren and Friends to Go.

Oh, and I forgot: Here There and Everywhere.

Bluebird, Take It Away, Mull of Kintyre, When I’m 64

Not a bad list, but man o man, where’s Blackbird? Isn’t it one of the most covered songs of all time?

Dan | 6/23/2009, 1:58 am EST

My wedding song: Calico Skies! Plus Junior’s Farm, Mamunia, and tons more. Paul is the best.

If I freaking Fell.

TequilaMockingbird | 6/23/2009, 1:28 pm EST

@Jon G – If I Fell was more of John’s song. Still a classic, just not for this list.

I don’t mind the list as it is, except 1) Move Yesterday to the #1 spot, and 2) Replace Too Many People with Blackbird. How that didn’t make the list, I’ll never know.

How did you tally the votes? A very interesting order! All of them are brilliant songs – McCartney is the best songwriter, ever. I’m happy “For No One” made the list, along with “I Will”.

“Helter Skelter” is a bit of a shock though, I must admit! My all time favorite McCartney song (which also means my all time favorite Beatles song) is “Golden Slumbers”. My other top McCartney favorites are “Mother Nature’s Son”, “What You’re Doing”, “I’ll Follow the Sun”, “The Long and Winding Road”…the list goes on forever!

One of my favorites is “That Day is Done” also, “Figure of 8″ – there were enough post Beatles stuff to make up the entire list. I love the Beatles, but give a nigga his due. McCartney has consistently written at least three great songs a year since then.

ErinMichelle | 8/24/2009, 2:49 am EST

Silly Love Songs!!! The best retaliation to John’s constant picking on Paul and his always writing the “love songs”

Annika | 8/30/2009, 1:51 am EST

How did “Here, There, and Everywhere” not make this list? I mean, even JOHN loved that one.
