I’m not a fan of any of this stuff, but it’s amazing someone like T.I. was sentenced to a solid year of jail time for a weapons possession charge – not used, mind you, simply unlicensed – but someone who committed this violent act of battery is walking free?

Granted, the terms of parole and so forth might somewhat limit Brown’s activity, but it pales in comparison to what should have clearly been a lengthy prison sentence for assault.

Had it been any normal African American not involved in the entertainment community, I guarantee that the penalty would have been swift and severe.

He dated the deaf actress Marlee Matlin, and he physically abused her. He physically abused a handicapped woman. That’s even worse. But no one has ever reprimanded him for it. What is Rihanna’s punishment? Chris Brown admitted he did something wrong and i believe his punishment fits the crime. WE should not cast a judgement on someone’s character by their first slip up. We have all had situations that we wish we never encounter and Chris Brown is a young man who simply made a mistake. The first step in correcting that mistake is by admitting fault.
