Former Warrant frontman Jani Lane was arrested yesterday in Los Angeles and charged with DUI, Radar Online reports. Police investigating a minor car accident Lane was involved in said that the “Cherry Pie” singer seemed under the influence at the scene and booked him. Lane was charged with a misdemeanor and was being held on $30,000 bail following the incident, which Lane posted according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Website. In fact, you can check out all the booking details of the arrest by typing in Jani Lane’s name into the LASD site. Lane will head to court July 10th to face the charges. Just last month, Lane appeared on Kansas City’s The Johnny Dare Morning Show to talk about how he was now sober, Blabbermouth writes.

And they said he couldn’t even get arrested!

He also said he wanted to shoot himself in the head for writing Cherry Pie and then recanted that statement when they decided to go out on a money grubbing reunion tour. He should have found solace in obscurity.

The cops in California along with the justice system (judges) are a frickin joke! I’m sorry Jani that this happened brother. Your music is very good and creative. I will always listen to you right up there with McCartney Van Halen and the best of them. I wish you luck in court and hope you get a break in Americas pathetique court system. I moved out of country to prevent witnessing a cop pulling someoneover as if they did something wrong just so they can power push people, ruin innocent lives and write tickets so they can pay their own mortgages. What a pathetique way to make a living. I respect you man and you have given a lot of Americans and Californians some joyful music to listen to over the years. Leave Jani alone just like people should’ve left Michael alone. Thje court system didn’t help Michael’s lifespan either and you know what he was found innocent! And I know he was . Rest in Peace Michael Jackson and good luck in court Jani Lane the wonderful vocal artist that you are.

Jacobson, you are a complete freaking idiot. Just because someone had good music doesn’t mean that they don’t drink and drive and when the cop arrests them doesn’t mean that the cop is power pushing them. I love his music too, but he can’t drink and drive. He is lucky that he didn’t kill himself or someone else. I hope that he gets sober and stays that way. WTF does Michael Jackson have to do with it anyways? Because they both broke the law? Let’s compare them to Charles Manson then? I don’t know if MJ did it or not (I didn’t see the evidence) but guilty people get off too; just ask OJ. I’m glad that you left our country; we don’t need anymore idiots (I hope that you took some with you).
