Donnas Deliver Ultimate Kiss Off With New “Get Off”: Listen Now

6/15/09, 1:34 pm EST

This summer is shaping up to be extremely busy for all-girl rock group the Donnas: Not only will the Palo Alto quartet venture out with Blondie and Pat Benatar for a joint tour, they’ll also release their eighth LP Greatest Hits Volume 16 on July 7th through their own Purple Feathers label. The disc will feature the Donnas reworking older tracks, unreleased B sides, live versions of their greatest hits and never-before-heard songs from the band’s early days. Grab its killer first single, the pissed-off “Get Off,” one of two brand-new tunes recorded for Greatest Hits Volume 16 right here. With its throbbing bass line and Kiss guitar licks, “Get Off” churns with the energy the Donnas brought to past hits like “Take It Off” and “Fall Behind Me.” More tracks from the collection are streaming now at the Donnas’ official MySpace. For the free download and the Donnas’ road dates with Blondie and Benatar, keep reading.

It’s what we’ve come to expect from The Donnas’. Kick ass rock ‘n’ roll! Nothing more. Nothing less. Good job ladies!

ZSK | 6/16/2009, 10:49 am EST

You forgot to put in the shows they will be headlining along the way.

Johnny Reeferseed | 6/16/2009, 7:05 pm EST

I believe the Donnas are currently the most kick ass rock n roll band in the world.

We'll See | 6/17/2009, 10:08 am EST

We haven’t heard from the Donna’s in years. This is their 8th album you say? Ok, I only know of one song from them.
Like I said, we shall see. Btw, their life show blows. That immediately discredits a band in my opinion, no matter who they are.

JohnnyD | 6/17/2009, 2:30 pm EST

Are you fucking kidding me? First of all their live show is all balls out and rocks. Second, it only smashes your opinion to bits since their live show elevates their credibility. You’ve been living under a gigantic rock I presume and you only know one song. Only bitter rejects bash this band. Fool.
