Adam Lambert is a karaoke singer.

Maybe someday he will do great things. I hope he does. He’s a smart and charismatic guy with stylistic presence who has much potential.

In the meantime, it needs to be reiterated that Rolling Stone is lavishing a lot of attention on a karaoke singer with highly paid stylists and musical consultants.

Good thing it was a OMFG as oppoaed to a OMG. Adam is so edgey. I agree with Jeff . This dude needs to stick to plays and karaoke.

Rolling stone has lost continues to lose credibility as long as they put a cover singer on the cover of the magazine. We have already had the Jonas Brothers and Taylor Swift on your cover. Start writing about real music again.

Jeff, RS has changed a lot. More mags are including contemp entertainment in the mix, what sells, what gets people talking. I gave in and tuned into Idol this year because people in my circles and a few musical legends were talking about the show/Adam for the first time. First time a reality TV contestant has been a real talking point, everything about him gets people talking, agreeing, disagreeing, debating.
The karaoke thing – if you are talented enough as an artist, it shouldn’t matter how you get your break. Lambert’s been working at this for years. He’s tackled every genre there is, been in all types of bands, and he’s a songwriter. They put tripe like the JBros and The Hills cast on the cover LOL. The guy at least has talent, brains, guts, something to say about our current culture. But I definitely get you and seeing as he’s had all this buzz before even putting out an album, the pressure’s on for him. Overexposure and hype doesn’t help, it hurt you and kills you. Wish him luck.

You should go on youtube, watch a few Adam video montages and you’ll get him instantly. He’s hilarious and just f-n fun, no pretentious “I’m edgy” attitude at all.
