  • Jay-Z told a Chicago radio station that his new “D.O.A.” or “Death of Auto-Tune” had an unlikely inspiration: a Wendy’s commercial that used the voice-altering software. “They’re joking on it. It’s like, OK, enough of that,” he said, according to MTV News.

  • The Who’s classic “My Generation” is among the 25 songs joining the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress this year, Variety reports. Tracks must be 10 years old and “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant” to make the registry.
  • 50 Cent is joining Diddy and Britney Spears in the fragrance business, People reports. The rapper is joining forces with Lighthouse Beauty for Power by Fifty Cent, due at Macy’s this fall.
  • Modest Mouse will release “Autumn Beds” as a limited-edition run of 4,000 7″ singles on June 23rd. The record’s B side is “Whale Song.”
