No, Archuleta is not gay. He said his interest is in girls in a recent TV interview, but regardless, it’s irrelevant to this discussion. He answered the question very gracefully. I only wish the media (including RS) would stop making Adam’s gayness a story.

Way to go David. He is so accepting and unjudgemental of people. Maybe the media ought to take note and quit making such a fuss about it.

To those who wish Archie gay, Sorry. He said clearly in interviews his interest is in girls(Girls are jumping up and down, haha). There are reasons why he is called to be a role model in many sides of him. He is not judgmental. He is honest, sincere and caring a lot about people. People call him ‘a new COOL’ because he always pimps others except himself. BTW, is there any way I can hear him singing Imagine on piano and Prayer of the Children?
My question is why the gay issue caused a problem for Clay and he is dead in the music scene, now. But Adam totally enjoys the spotlight in favor of coming out? They are both gay, anyway.

David’s such a sweetheart! Why was he asked that at a children’s charity function in the capitol bldg? He’s so giving & has motivated me to donate to so many worthy causes now and I’m twice as old!

Actually David has a girlfriend from Utah..But due to his popularity with the girls he will keep his relationship in secret for a while, but he was caught up with his girlfriend this past Saturday at a soccer game.She looks pretty and they were close to each other and he was showing something to her on his phone…There are pictures of them! that girl is so lucky!!!

This interview was done in Washington DC; it was the Children Uniting Nations gala. They should have asked about the event, David’s participation in it and about his career. But this reporter decided to talk about Adam Lambert. David Archuleta really is a class act! what a gentleman! he is very diplomatic, polite and respectful; he doesn’t judge people. It seems like the reporter was trying to make David say something negative about Adam. David always sees the good in people, the good in everything around him. He is all about positive attitude! A lot of people (of all ages, nationalities, religions) should learn a lot from David Archuleta.

People still watch this show? I tune in for laughs in the beginning, but after that I’m done. Yes, all these people have been good singers, but none of them have been truly good artists or musicians. Every single one of them is pumping out commercial albums, ProTools altered to perfection. We need more Becks and Jack Whites, Eddie Vedders and Thom Yorkes. Not more David Archuletas or Adam Lamberts.

There is no evidence that David is gay in his sexual orientation. What truly exist are just unverified claims and insinuations by anonymous people that never provided any photos, any proof or evidence at all, just anonymous gossip.

His own words indicate that he understands himself to have a straight identity. When he was interviewed by FOX and asked whether he had a girlfriend, he smiled toward the young teen girls in the audience and said ‘not yet’ and then explained that he was extremely occupied with his musical career at that point but when he was ‘ready’ he might pursue dating.

This would be in keeping with his Mormon culture, which discourages dating in pairs until one is older. Besides, David is innocent, sheltered, so shy, very much involved with his music. His friends call him a music nerd. I think all this together is the reason he didn´t get involved affectively yet, which by all means do not make him a gay guy.

By the way, his response was respectful and very graceful indeed. Being so accepting and non-judgmental reveals his true nature, his kindness and a wisdom beyond his years. Archie is a rare gem in this world where there are so many unforgiving, self-righteous, finger-pointing, grace-denying, judgmental and divisive ‘Christians’!

This kid has always been a nice, downt to earth respectful person. I like his new song as well. It’s nice when you hear former contestants from Idol, such as David being even how young his is and so mature for his age. Unlike Clay Aiken who publictly made a fool out of himself regarding Lambert. David is classy.

This interviewer has an ulterior motive. Why this reporter will interview David Archuleta in Children Uniting Nations Event and asking about the sexuality of Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken that’s kind hmmmm. I think he wants to get some juicy stuff from DA.

Definitely he has a motive on this matter hoping DA will end up giving a wrong answer it can end up being misconstrued and it will stir up controvesy.

Thank goodness David answer the question well but regardless he should not entertained those kind of question.

Next time David, just be polite by saying: I am sorry and I don’t want to answer for thats to personal but anyway, they are an amazing artist don’t entertain or elaborate.

Always be very careful and be conscious where the topic goes for some reporter are very sleazy.

Always think first before you answer.

Interviewers ask David about the new Idols a lot. I think they may have asked David about Lambert because they know he is strict Mormon. Maybe they thought he would say something judgemental. But David is kind to everyone and he respects people for their character values like honesty, humilty, charity and kindness.

When I saw his interview last month in Asia where the interviewer asked him about the rumor that he is gay, and he answered that, quote: “My interest is in girls” plus the fact that he has a girlfriend in Utah right now should put to end once and for all the question, “Is Archuleta gay?” Please end this rumor now, today and stop making inaccurate assumptions about people. David has a beautiful soul. He has become very involved in charities. Isn’t that something at this age! He said he believes that what he is doing now is his mission in life. He is spreading the word of the needs of many children in this world today with his singing and his actions. Asked to appear in WA for Children Uniting Nations was such a honor. By the way (JACK) you can go to you tube and put in David Archuleta Prayer of the Children and get it that way.

Now seriously – Adam is an amazing person with a beautiful nature, and now, after the RS cover article, he’s even more amazing and beautiful, and I love him even more!

David will never out as long as he’s in the LDS church and his dad’s in his management. I find it funny when other fans mention the Malaysian interview. What’s he going to say, “Yes, I’m gay?” With his homophobic dad and church background, it will be years before he comes out.

Also, find it interesting when others say there is no evidence of David being gay. Well, there’s no evidence of him being straight either! When asked about girls, he usually avoids the question or says he does not have time. Both of his nearest siblings date actively. David has always been odd when it comes to girls. The idea of gayness as being sinful has been beaten into him all his life. No wonder the kid is confused.

I’m so proud of David. He is such a beauitful soul. More people in this world need to be like him.

To all of you who keep speculating about his sexuality – he already told us publicly that he was straight. For those of you saying, ‘of course he said that, he has to live up to his religion,’ FYI: it’s also against his religion to LIE.
