  • Depeche Mode have restarted the tour that was derailed by frontman Dave Gahan’s surgery to remove a tumor, NME reports. At last night’s Leipzig, Germany concert, Gahan told the crowd, “Being back onstage is an incredible feeling and I’m looking forward to each and every show.”

  • New York electro-rock trio Le Tigre have hit the studio with Christina Aguilera, Pitchfork reports. Aguilera has also been collaborating with Sia, Ladytron and Goldfrapp.
  • According to Domino Records, the Arctic Monkeys’ August album now has a name: Humbug.
  • Aretha Franklin, Queen Latifah and Wyclef Jean will perform at at July 18th concert honoring Nelson Mandela at New York’s Madison Square Garden. The event is being curated by the Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart.

I seriously hope that the tumor is nothing more serious. I hope it doesn’t evolve into something bigger, cause a lot of times it does. He’s only 47, he’s too young to be knocking on heaven’s door. I hope his doctors are monitoring him closely. Don’t strain yourself, Dave. Take all the time you need to get back in the game. Your health overrides your career in terms of importance.

Yo I thing la Aguilera is amazing and with the new sound and look she will rock every part of the music industry by bringing real talent to the scene. She is amazing and I cant wait to see her RS cover with the new look is going to be amazing. The sound and writing content I m glad she is collaborating with people that know what this genera is about.
