American Idol keeps pumping out no talent nerds each and every year. Never watched and never will. It sucks

Kris Allen won so many people over during the weeks by just being who he was and humbling himself unlike Adam and Gokey who both were very cocky and thought they had the title in hand. Good for him. Rolling Stone give this man the cover he deserves and stop catering to the number two man.

Kris Allen won fair and square and deserves the respect that should come with his win. Every year the media plays off the loser and disses the winner. Step above that Rolling Stone and give this man his props….I will be looking for that great cover story in your mag on him even though he doesn’t have a closet to come out of.

The best thing about this guy was he did not realize how awesome his sound was. Every time he sung it made me feel good. Adam yelled to much and that got old and the Goke dude soul singing got annoying after awhile.

Would like to see more on Kris Allen, his life and his family.

The saddest thing to me is that this guy is so good and the media and AI have dissed him so that many people think he should not have won the title. With no publicity or respect this man sung his way to a win. Al the judges were shocked and even he himself was because they had tore him down (especially Simon) all season. But did anyone notice that Adam Lambert wasn’t shocked, he knew the guy was good and his talent was real and that he should have won.

Good for him and good luck to him. I will buy his music in a heart beat and wouldn’t even look in the direction of Adam Lambert music. It just isn’t my style.

Hey, no Adam bashing. Out of everyone at American Idol, he’s been the most supportive of Kris’ win and the most complimentary towards him as a person. Adam doesn’t have to be your musical preference, but Kris fans should appreciate that. I’m personally looking forward to Kris’ album. I just hope it’s not too soft-rock…

Hey Kris fans, doesn’t matter if he’s in the front page or not, Kris never cared about those things. Let’s just wait for his album CD and buy, seriously I can only play his AI songs for so many times, I need his new CD. Glad that his NB version and Heartless made it to the Top 20 BB charts two weeks ago and is still in the Top 40 inspite of all the negative press. Oh, and I downloaded a few from his pre-AI self-made album, they’re also great!

Kris is a major talent. There is something about his interpretation, and his intimacy with the listeners. I can’t describe what makes him so powerful, and I don’t know how to define an artist, but I know one when I see one. Rolling Stone should give him the over he deserves.

So when is Adam’s offcial RCA announcement coming out? He’s joining David Cook, Chris Daughtry and Kelly Clarkson on that label. Hopefully RCA will release its statement this week.

Desmond Child, Ferras and Lauren Christy are all writing for Adam. They tweeted about several songwriting sessions (including one where Adam particpated) over the weekend. Adam told reporters on the red carpet at the Young Hollywood Awards that he has just been signed by RCA. Not sure when the official announcement will be made by the company. They probably had to wait until after the Kris/Jive announcement was made to announce Adam’s. Should be soon.

Well, good for Kris I guess but we all know the big news of the week will be when Adam’s deal is announced. Kris was the “winner” so he had to be signed, but Adam is the one that Idol is really supporting, and rightfully so based on his talent and star quality.

Don’t know if any of the others will be signed.
There were rumors before the show ended that someone would sign Danny Gokey but those rumors have never materialized. If he signed with a 19 Label that would leave him with Artista most likely.

there’s something really cool about this kid and his music. i like his vocals, the tone, the nuances. i loved neil young and a hundred singer/songwriters who didn’t need bombastic vocals to touch people. i grew up with “classic” rock and because of that i find people saying adam lambert will be the next freddie mercury just feels so wrong to me on so many levels. plant, mercury, daltry cannot be replicated.

i guess, rolling stone sold its soul a long time ago to turn a profit. lady gaga on the cover?? perhaps it’s no longer profitable to embrace the true rockers — and when i say true rockers, that does not for me include lambert. oh, well, he’ll make a pretty coverboy, but like sam harris, he’ll eventually return to old broadway.

Jive will have its hands full producing and promoting both Kris and Allison. Allison seems to fit the Jive mold better. The 2 former AI people in their stable are Jordin Sparks and David Archuleta…teenagers.

It’s great so many out there support Adam Lambert, but this is an article about Kris Allen. He’s a great guy and Adam’s friend. Allow the man to get some props. KRADAM!

Base on the fact that this article has been posted a full day and there are only 30 comments total, I think Kris’ fans need to accept the fact that the reality TV show is over for the season. This is the real world now and we should be thankful that Rolling Stone posted this obligatory press release. I’ve never seen such a strong sense of entitlement from such a small number of fans. It’s rather embarrassing. Kris seems like such a great guy. I’ll bet he was thrilled to be mentioned by Rolling Stone. Too bad some of his fans are unsatisfied and bitter. That’s not going to help Kris in the real world.

Peeps – don’t start fan wars this year. I am a big Archuleta fan and fan wars are not fun and are no good for either Idol. Praise your fave, don’t make contentious remarks. You will all be happier.

I cannot wait to buy Kris Allen’s CD. I voted for him for music. I like a real musician who just like to play music. I voted for him because he is the cd I would listen to every day. Adam is also marvelous. There will be days when I would love to listen to his stuff. But for him I am more likely to buy a few singles on iTunes rather than a whole album. Kris proved his brilliance with Heartless. I am excited for Allison as well. She deserved to be signed.I too am sick of these crazy fan wars. These people prove it was never just about music for them. Adam is a fantastic artist but mark my words… the portion of his fans who are bitter are going to ruin his career and turn him into a pariah after the first CD is come and gone. Shame. there is room in the music world for both. But the Adam crazies are starting to make the Claymates look almost sane.

I can’t help but laugh at the attitude of fans of the Arkansas Idol. Particularly when they say that Kris wouldn’t care about being on the cover anyway. Yeah, that’s right. He doesn’t want fame. That’s why he entered the most watched show on American TV.

Face it. Very few people outside of Arkansas are interested in Kris. The voting percentage outside of Arkansas could have told you that.

They are doing that this year, as are many people in the music business, because the result was ridiculous. It wouldn’t be so absurd if Adam weren’t so exceptional talent and Kris were at least one of the better of the rest in competition but to have a one of a kind talent beaten by a contestant barely worthy of the top 10 is almost the stuff you couldn’t make up.

I think both Kris & Adam will do very well for themselves, they both have proven themselves to their fans. The reason Kris won was that more people related to his music than they did Adam’s. But Adam will still do very well. You all are trying to compare apples & oranges. Both of these guys are very talented and will have their own followers,but they each have a different sound and music that they love, so you really can not compare them. I wish the best for both,and whichever one won or didn’t win deserves the title and the respect due to any hard working singer.

Actually, for whoever is saying Adam Lambert was on Rolling Stones just because of his sexuality – erm, Wrong. They had it planned for him to be on the cover way before the interview where he answered questions about his sexual orientation. I respect Kris and will probably buy his album as well. Yes, talent-wise I think Adam was WAY beyond that of Kris’, but we are past comparison now. The show is over. They will both go their own ways.

I’m so happy for Kris. Jive seems like a good fit for him. I can’t wait to get his album. I’m sure it’s going to be really great. I voted for him all season and love his voice and style. He feels the music and really connects with it and that connection is heartfelt and his fans can feel it too. That’s why we love him and voted for him.
Adam is talented and a really nice guy and I wish him well but I’d rather listen to Kris on the radio and my ipod.

After reading the comments on this thread it just makes me sad. I don’t understand why the Adam fans feel they need to come over here to post about Adam on a “Kris” article. There are plenty of “Adam” articles for you to support your favorite on. Does it make you feel better to trash Kris? That’s just sad. I borrowed my wife’s laptop and found this article. I’m a James Taylor/Bob Dylan fan and I like soft music with good lyrics, that’s Allen. He makes good music. Reading all the comments here, I asked my wife if Adam Lambert is really a cover of Rolling Stones. She said it was a “coming out of the closet” issue for Adam. That’s really sad. Growing up, I remember Rolling Stones was all about music and rock&roll. Now it has become like a gossip magazine.

I’m so happy for Kris and I hope that he can produce a damn good album that will blow people away. I like pop rock genre but I also want Kris to infuse some R&B or even hip hop music in his album. He got some black soul in him man! He also emanates some latina vibe in his music. Having shown so much versatility in his performances, I hope that he can take time to experiment with all these styles. I don’t want him to rush his album because loyal fans are willing to wait for a good quality album defintely.

I am a big fan of both Kris and Adam. Their styles are so different, I don’t know why people feel the need to compare them, then try and tear down the one guy just to build up the other. But to all the Adam fans who feel some sick need to bask Kris let me ask you this. If no one likes Kris’ music, then why are his singles charting higher than Adam’s right now? Obviously lots of people like his music (just as lots of people like Adam’s music) — and no, they aren’t all from Arkansas (I downloaded lots of Kris’ and Adam’s stuff off itunes, and I’ve never even been to Arkansas)!

Kris and Adam are really good friends who support each other. Why do some of their fans feel the need to act like childish idiots and spout hatred.

If you don’t like Kris, fine. Don’t buy his CD, don’t go to his concerts. No one is forcing you to do any of that. But how about just shutting up, already? Sam thing goes for the ones bashing Adam — just shut up!

Kris is the artist that you listen to when you are relaxing in the bathtub or slowly stretching after a workout. Adam is the artist you listen to when you are working out and want your blood pumping…very different. I have downloaded a couple of Kris’ songs and everything I can find of Adam’s (and a few of Allison’s and Matt’s) Kris and Adam both were original on some songs and closely followed others. Just as a point for those who say Kris was a genious with Kanye’s “Heartless”…..go listen to The Fray on Youtube….not so original after all, he just did not credit them, whereas Adam usually credited the people whose renditions he followed. Not to say that Kris was not good, just not original on that song. I wish Kris and Adam and Allison and Matt and Danny etc. much success. If music was all the same it would be boring and we would lose interest. I listen to and enjoy a little bit of everything but generally listen to what speaks to me and to compliment my current mood or to coax me into a certain mood, not so much who the artist is.

Congratulations Kris. I’m sorry that a few of Adam’s fans continue to make negative comments, we are trying to put a stop to this in the forum but some people just can’ accept Kris’s Win gracefully. I’m a huge Adam fan but also love Kris and respect their friendship. I know Adam is thrilled for Kris and so should all of us. Please stop the bashing it helps no one. Believe me the majority of Adam’s fans would not diss Kris!!!!! I look forward to both their albums and following their careers for years to come.

This is great news: Kris Allen is getting a great deal of airtime on the radio with his music – I hope there will be at least one gospel pop/rock anthem in the debut album. Kris also needs to do something new – like do one release FREE online via the internet to “rock” the world.

I love how some people really can’t spell. So badly that “won” becomes “one”. It just totally undermines the adoration you have for Kris. Even worse, when you see people typing “I love Chris” in the comments – dude, his name is said like a million times up there in that article.

I think both are very talented…but I still stand by my initial feeling that Kris has more staying power than Adam. All of those Kris haters that think he is just going to disappear – I would like to know what they think now after his first single, “Live Like We’re Dying” released …especially in comparison to the otrocious Adam single “For Your Entertainment”. It is like a bad Britney Spears song – which is really hard to do!!
