On the Smoking Section: Exclusive Vaselines Performance

It’s not every day we can claim one of Kurt Cobain’s favorite bands has popped by our offices to play an acoustic set, but that’s exactly what happened recently when Scottish duo the Vaselines visited the RS studios for a three-song performance. Eugene Kelly and Frances McKee (Frances Bean Cobain’s namesake) played “Molly’s Lips,” “Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam” and “Son of a Gun” while in town touring behind the Sub Pop re-release of their original two EPs and their sole LP, 1990’s Dum-Dum, as Enter the Vaselines.
