Album contains all the singles so what’s the use of saying Kris singles was selling more last week. It only shows that people only pick what they’d like to hear Kris sing. The rest of his songs are boring.

No one doubts that Adam is more talented and more popular than Kris.

The winner always gets that famous winner’s bump in sales the first week. Adam’s been out-selling Kris almost every week all season long.

Adam is also selling way more videos than the other guy having both the #1 video sales and 18 of the top 40. AMAZING! Adam is AMAZING!

Kris’s singles sales only beat Adam’s this past week due to the “winner’s bounce”. He’ll drop next week.

Believe me, if Adam had an iTunes pass, it would definitely have sold more than Kris Allen’s. The iTunes pass includes tour videos and Adam is the one most people want to see on tour. Kris’s tour videos couldn’t possibly be very exciting, unless he duets with Adam again.

Both Kris Allen and Adam Lambert are terrific. Neither of them is crying over the way things played out in the finale, so why is everyone so up in arms? Why is it SO important that Adam be the winner? It reminds me of the video of the tween girls reacting to David Archuleta not winning last season, screaming and crying and whatnot. Lambert will still make an album, it will still be awesome and he’ll still have a great career. Kris Allen will too. Why can’t the choice be ‘both’? These two guys were my favorites all season, along with Allison Iraheta, and I’m pleased that they were in the Final 2 together. At least Gokey went home before the finale, I don’t think the Kodak Theater could have contained his ego if he’d made it through.

Yeah…”iTunes only…collection”. Can’t wait to see what happens when Adam Lambert’s CDs are available everywhere. There are tons of international fans who are complaining because they can’t get iTunes. Hopefully, we won’t have long to wait for his first CD…
Personally, I have never been a fan of Eminem, so don’t really care about his “comeback”, but I am really looking forward to something interesting and diverse from Lambert…

Oh, and with that “Idol Pass” comes videos of backstage stuff on the tour at each stop along the way. So, the song counts, count this a everyone buying Kris’ songs/albums etc. And because ADAM doesn’t have this PASS available (only the winner does) it is not a good indicator of what the sales really are don’t ya think!!

i’m seeing a bit of bias here. i grew up listening to rock and admam lambert might be able to pull of freddie mercury, but rock god he ain’t. not feeling it at all. what’s with rolling stone not given credit to the true rockers like daughtry and david cook, but easily embracing adam lambert as a rocker? it truly is a mad world.

Adam has proven to be the most interesting to talk about regardless of what different tastes of music we all have. First, Em’s new album is sick. I love it.

Second, another fucking American Idol story….sigh….who cares. But what is funny is how horrible the story is spinned to favor the person that Rolling Stone (for some unknown reason) is saying is a rock god. Not to mention, Kris is killing Adam on singles, and really, that is what matters in the music industry these days. In fact, give it 10-15 years, albums won’t even exist. Artists will just be putting out singles.

I really don’t care about Idol, but from what I have seen, Kris is hella more mainstream and commercial than Adam will ever be, so he will end up winning the real battle when they release actual albums, not some karoke bullshit that shouldn’t be charting anyways.

Adam can sing, but he just does not fit in anywhere. Kris is the perfect package. Cute, safe and normal with a good voice and plays an instrument. If RCA does him right, he could be successful.

ITunes Sales Numbers were “leaked” accidentially afew weeks ago and at that point it showed Adam dominating weekly sales every week with Kris coming in a distant 2nd. After Kris “won”, he got a tremendous boost in sales which is reflected now. I predict when their debut albums come out Adam will go Platinum and Kris will go Gold.

Adam has impressed me with every single performance he did on Idol. Kris had some magic moments but nowhere near the consistency of excellence that Adam did. I think it would be interesting to see the numbers over the entire season of Idol. These are only this weeks numbers – the week most people are just figuring out who Kris Allen is. If you’ve been following the show, you downloaded most of Adam Lambert’s tracks weeks ago – he was huge and popular over the course of the entire show. Therefore, I don’t think these numbers tell much of a story.

Adam’s singles and videos have been selling consistently throughout the season, it’s only after the finale that Kris’ singles started selling. I like Kris, he has a nice voice and I actually bought one of his singles, but there are so many singers with a similar style. Adam is unique and awesome. Adam Rocks! I am 42 fem/mom of 3 yr. old…and watched AI because of Adam Lambert! He reminds me of my teen-age years in the 80’s! I would love to hear him sing “Love Removal Machine” by The Cult…OMG! Well, David Cook still rules. He outsold both Adam & Kris COMBINED and charted more singles on the Hot 100 than both COMBINED!! So I guess season 8 wasn’t the best after all.

Kris’ singles are doing better now but Adam’s singles sold better than all of the other contestants (including Kris) during the whole run of the show. Adam is doing a lot better in video sales than Kris. It’s clear that fans of Adam want everything Adam and fans of Kris will buy a few singles here and there. The iTunes Pass does not include the Kris’ season 8 album, only the winner’s single, backstage videos, and unreleased album. Adam didn’t get an iTunes pass because if he did then he would surely chart with that. A lot of Adam’s fans didn’t buy “No Boundaries” because they hate the song and don’t like that it’s the winner’s single.

To whomever said “What until Adam comes out with his own album, you don’t know rock n roll, etc”. A lot of Adam’s fans are actual rock fans. I am huge rock fan. I listen Led Zep, Iron Maiden, Incubus, NIN, Pink Floyd, old Metallica, Queen, etc. So, yes, we know what rock music is. We saw Adam on the show and were hooked. So, he happened to get noticed on a reality show, so what. We have seen his original performances on youtube and we love them. I remember when Nirvana came out and people were rolling their eyes because the media proclaimed them as the next big thing. Everybody has to start somewhere. There are a lot of artists, music producers, and critics giving this guy major praise. He obviously has talent even if his “screeching” is not your cup of tea.

The proof is in the sales–Adam is a superior vocalist and entertainer. He will be a music legend and will sell millions of albums. He has made me love music again–thanks, Adam! We all know who the real American Idol is!

Kris Allen has competing sales with himself because there is a ITUNES pass that can be bought instead (album plus exclusive stuff) so this competes with his own album alone sales.

And to the Itunes Pass comments – those don’t give you his already released music – its his first single (No Boundaries) and things that will come later in the tour. Please, Adam is not a real rocker. He screeches and ruins U2 and Aerosmith’s songs (two of the biggest rock bands of all time). and he can’t even play an instrument. However, KISS has to retract their words and pacify them by saying nice things when Adam’s fans started complaining (just like the Clay Aiken’s saga). Chris is good but Lambert a way superior performer and singer.Anyone who suggests otherwise needs their head read. This is generally supported by the majority around the world. For me Mad World and The Tracks of my Tears two were two of his greatest performances. Lambert is the number one and time will prove this.

Kris is a wholesome, talented musician who plays instruments and re-invents songs. Check out his performances on AI website: the latin-inspired “She works hard for the money”, the honest and moving “Falling slowly” sung in his mesmerising lower register, a comtemporary re-invent of the classic “Ain’t no sunshine”, the touching country ballad “To make you feel my love”, the sexy “The way you look tonight”, a more energised version of “Apologize”, the funk-rock re-invent of Beatles’ classic “Come Together”, the laid-back, chilling “What’s going on” and the acoustic soulful take on Kanye’s “Heartless”. The only reason Adam’s beating Kris in the performance collections is because Kris has an iTunes Pass available, where you get all the same perks, plus extras. It splits his sales. When you factor that in, Kris is soundly beating Adam in the charts.

I liked both Adam and Kris. They have different styles. IMO Adam has the edge vocally- I haven’t seen somebody so talented since they started Idol. Bottom line is I will be buying both their albums when they come out.

I haven’t heard such an over the top voice since Jennifer Hudson. When I listen to the studio versions of both Adam and Jennifer, the live performances are so much better. It’s like the audiance makes them come alive.
Poor Kris. Unless he is a remarkable songwriter, obscurity beckons.
