Oh cut me a break… Kris’ comments that Adam deserved it as much as he did – ADAM IT DESERVED IT SO MUCH MORE! Sorry, but it’s a known fact that AI voters (not the die-hard fans I might add) but the bandwagon jumpers always vote for the underdog. But no worries… Adam will go on to become a bigger and better star!

I think that Kris remained true to who he is….I’m just not sure why there are so many people who do not recognize his talent. I am not knocking Adam in any way shape or form.

Sour grapes and high praise make an interesting combination. Adam is a very talented performer but did it ever occur that not everyone likes his style of singing? His performances all sounded alike with a lot of shrill screeching in places. Kris was consistently smooth, subdued at times up at others but always making you feel the music. He was definately the right choice.

CONGRATULATIONS KRIS, BUT I WAS HOPING FOR ADAM TO WIN. ADAM HAS BETTER VOCAL RANGE AND TALENT THAN KRIS.

Adam is obviously the way better singer and performer, however I’m glad in a way that Kris won because I think he is a songwriter too and because of the attention he’ll get original work out there. Adam will still get picked up and get to put his album out. Adam got robbed!!! He deserved to win American Idol because he is by far the best singer/performer to ever grace the AI stage. Kris doesn’t hold a candle to Adam Lambert. Adam is the TRUE American Idol, and Kris is Arkansas Idol…38 million votes came from Arkansas, where only 2.3 million people live. Hmmmm….seems pretty freakin shady to me. Adam Lambert has been writing songs for years, for those of you who are saying Kris is the only songwriter–he isn’t. Adam can sing every genre of music, can you say the same about Kris? This was a competition, one that many of us forked hundreds of dollars worth of phone calls for. Take is a little more seriously–who played the game right? Who deserved the crown? Who got Kiss and Queen to come on the show? It wasn’t Kris! Queen have even asked Adam to be the new lead singer replacing Paul Rodgers. I’m not making this up either. Adam has offers coming out of his ears! That is the only consoling thing about this nightmare. The season was crap this year, let’s face it, the other 12 weren’t up to par. Adam was the only truly talented person on the show, next to him maybe Alexis Grace, but she blew it in the second week. Other than that, maybe that short chubby girl with the pink girl whose name escapes me. She’s cute, kind of reminded me a little of Kelly Clarkson, but not good enough. So yeah, after sitting and watching and voting only because of Adam, of course I think he should have won it. Come on!

I must admit I became a huge Adam fan during the show, and I truly believe he will become one of the great stars of his generation. But I also think that Kris and several of the other top contenders are also quite good, and I heartily congratulate Kris on his victory. It’s too bad that there have been some online battles between Kris fans and Adam fans, especially since the two guys themselves have become quite good friends despite their musical and stylistic differences. So let me state once and for all that regardless of our varied opinions of who won or deserved to win, both these young men are class acts through and through. In fact, this crop of AI talent was really outstanding, with many of the top 12-13 having really legitimate shots at a musical career. And perhaps even more importantly, not only was this group very talented, it was also a group of genuinely decent people. I wish all of them the very best.

Kris did an amazing job in the final AI episodes. He had to be thinking like everyone else who knows music that Lambert was always in a class by himself. I was a bit suprised when Adam did not win. He is by all measures a huge talent. From the first momemt I heared Lambert on the show I felt it was a waste to have him perform in a competition in which he was clearly superior to everyone else, especially when he could and should be in a recording studio not to mention taking up the mantle of the rock and roll revival that he seems destined to lead.

I suppose all those fleet fingered teeny voters endded up going for the boy that fit with their dreamy love fantacies. Kris was a talented guy to to whom the girls could get those sweet fantacies around. Lambert, a Dude who uses eye liner, not so much. But all that matters now is when will that Adam Lambert Album be out. Oh and, Rock and Roll is for ever.

Yeh I was so shocked I thought Adam was a cert!!!! I was feelig sorry for Kris and rooting 4 him a big more because I was convinced he was going 2 lose. I was gutted!!!! First of all, I love Kris Allen but i agree with Jodi. They are SO different; we shouldnt try to compare the two. They are both very talented artists but going in two totally different directions. It didnt really matter how the voting ended up; we were going to end up with a very talented performer either way. Way to go Kris. Adam is an international mega-talent. He should have won. I am skipping the Idol Tour this year in protest — saving my money to take my teenagers to see Adam on tour — perhaps with Kiss. Kris is good and a nice kid — nowhere near the talent of Adam. The Christian Right has hijacked America — why have we allowed this America? Idol is no longer a singing talent show — it is now a “political statement show.” Hope Simon gets out — he looked angry. He doesn’t need the money. Hope he won’t sacrifice his integrity and stay on.

I think the results of the last AI were wrong. Adam was the most talented of the two. Kris was good but Adam will go further. The reality is, that fairness doesn’t exist. The most talented didn’t come in with the most votes. But doesn’t that happen in other aspects of life as well? The good thing is, Adam Lambert needed exposure. He got it and hopefully he is on his way to superstardom. The votes don’t determine one’s success. I think Adam will do things that no one else has ever been able to do. Perhaps he’s better off being “Idol Number 2″. I for one would love to see him on tour solo or with a band, but probably wouldn’t spend my money on the Idol Tour. ADam, thanks for the pleasure of watching you scream! I watched the show and I do not know what kind of album Kris will put out??????? He also said “America could not have gotten it wrong”. WRONG, KRIS! America DID get it wrong….Adam mopped the floor with you every week. Congratulations KRIS: America voted and you won and I think America was right. Both finalists were excellent, but KRIS will sell records, that is what AI is all about. People will listen to his wonderful voice and style. Adam will be on stage in Las Vegas.

It is unfortunate that politics overshadowed talent, which really messed up the whole point of this show. To vote so the other guy can’t win is just plain childish. When something unfair happen to you, you cry foul. Is this fair to Adam? Would you buy Kris’ album? Really?

I don’t hate Kris. I think Kris is a good singer, but pretty forgettable. I always liken his singing to street performance, especially when he sings with his acoustic guitar. When he tries to power his vocal, he loses his top-end range — a sign that he is not vocally ready for this business. Adam on the other hand, well, I’ll let you draw your own conclusion.

Finally, compare the work ethics of these two people, with Adam always pushing his limits and have done so much prior to competing in Idol, versus Kris’ laid-back see-what-comes-next attitude.

For those who voted for Kris (notice I don’t even call you Kris’ fan), you just pushed someone who does not have enough steam into a position that he will have a hard time keeping up. One already knows what he wants to do. The other, is still trying to figure things out.

Hi guys, I am from Spain and I got goosebumps when I first listened Adam Lambert singing on the internet. I got so hooked that I was up very late that night watching all of his performances on A.I. I love his presence, the sound of his voice and his proficiency and attitude. Adam Lambert is definitely the 21st century Elvis!

Kris Allen won because any of his studio versions could be put on any adult contemporary radio station TOMORROW. Kris’ music is similar to Donovan Frankenreiter, Jack Johnson, Eric Hutchinson, Ben Harper etc. He’s relevant! Did you buy Axl Rose’s last album? Me neither.

first off, it didnt matter who won, both had record deals. second of all, you cant compare the two as singers well, just because they really have different styles. kris can sing with his acoustic guitar as a singer/songwriter, adam can sing the glam-rock bombastic numbers.
but i never saw adam (at least in the few episodes i watched) play an instrument whilst singing. kris did it almost every time. as a musician, you have no idea how hard it is to sing and play an instrument at the same time. its pretty much impossible. kris did it without skipping a beat.

The voting system is super unfair. 38 million votes only from Arkansas, statistically proven a few days ago, this is no gossip. I think we all know who the real winner is looking at this fact. I congratulate Kris for being so honest to say that Adam deserved this. What a nice guy. Adam is the world idol. He already has a HUGE fan base from Europe going all the way down to Asia. He will be embraced more in the majority of the world, except his own country America(very pathetic). I am very happy to point out Adam as an example person to my 10 year old son.

Keep in mind that the biggest most hard core voting block on AI are tweens and young teen age girls. It’s not surprising that Kris with his more traditional boyish good looks appealed to them more. Rock is generally lost on that age group anyway.

What’s with the spreading of the Internet lie about 38 million votes being from Arkansas. Ever notice, nobody ever shows proof? These are the same people who keep asking for the President’s birth certificate.

Wanna know the truth? Look at the raw data from Dial Idol (which is statistically large enough to be valid) and you will see that for every 9 calls placed by folks in Arkansas, 3 got in as votes. Meanwhile, in California, and on the entire West Coast, 8 out of 9 calls became votes. The busy signal was more of a non-factor in Adam’s home base. THAT is something we have stats on.

This year, they did not signal that this was a close vote, which they usually do, so I suspect that the win wasn’t slight.

As David Archuletta learned last year, this is what happens when judges say you won it, before the vote is counted. Remember, Archuletta had the teen girl vote and was declared the winner of finale night, which was an off night for Cook.

This is a show about finding an underdog, plus many, like myself, prefer Kris’ genre of music. There are about 4 studio versions of his Idol songs that are very strongly suited to radio. And one that wouldn’t be played, from Rat Pack night, the studio version of “The Way You Look Tonight,” is the best version of that song that I have ever heard (which is saying a lot). That is what caused Jamie Foxx to say he wanted to record with him. At the time, we were just starting to really take notice of the guy.

No need to discredit Kris to honor the extremely talented Adam. They are both winners.

Sorry, Adam. But Kris won. In a competition where close to a million voted. In the end, the person with the real artistry came out and oushone the one with the act. Comparing Adam to Elvis? Elvis doesn’t scream and screech like a banshee. He can maybe join Queen, and people who like their music can buy that album. Goodluck.

Kris Allen…the one who made Jamie Foxx swoon and Quentin Tarantino described with pride. He’s a total artist, the total package. He can be on the stage with just his guitar and command attention. No need for dry ice or outrageous get-ups. Just his music and singing can make you feel his presence. Those who voted did right by him, they voted for the one who has the heart and soul to bring them amazing music.

I don’t get why people have such an issue. Someone wins every year and it can’t ever please everyone. I liked Danny first and I also liked Adam (I got mad when Kara called him too dramatic – turns out he was) but Kris really started emmerging to me with his brilliant performances. Because this is the type of music I personally would listen to. I couldn’t listen to Adam’s scream for a whole concert. However, I really dug his mad world performance. Anyway the point is – this is a voting show people. And fair or unfair no matter who won someone will be honked off.

Adam screams & every song sounded the same. I liked him at first, but the constant screaming got old FAST.

Adam’s creativity and talent kept me watching …I’m not usually such a big idol fan.
It is amazing that each week he was able to bring a unique spirit to his song-Season after season that’s what Simon’s been asking the performers to do! Too bad America didn’t notice!!!!

Kris gave the explanation…..Nothing ever happens in Arkansas..(fun,big,exciting) so when Kris came along..they just need to push it hard to have something going on..which resulted to Kris being AI, well doesnt matter, Adam…will rule the world and in a years time Kris will just be Adam’s boytoy.

This is a show. It is not life or death. I think some of you are getting a little too serious about the outcome. I would have been very disappointed if the outcome was the opposite, but hey, AI is set up so that people can vote as many times as possible. Next year will be another chance for another very talented person to win. The year Rubin won, his mother orchestrated a huge voting campaign, and it worked. Did the most talented person win that year or was it just the person who got the most votes? I actually went through grief and withdrawal after that season was over…I know, get a life. But it didn’t stop me from watching again the next year. Maybe in your eyes the more talented person didn’t win, just the person with the most votes did, but in a lot of peoples’ minds the more talented person did win. In any case…stop taking so seriously, take it for what it was, enjoy the show and hope for another great group next year.

I am from Asia and we love Adam here. We were sad when he didn’t make it. We recognized that he will go far. I hope he comes to Asia. I am sure we would welcome him here.

Sorry but ATT gave the Arkansas Statistics and it was announced on an Arkansas Television station that is a Fox network station. The anchor clearly stated that 38,000,000 votes were cast from AR, of course not all were for Allen. But from a state with less than 3M people causes one concern for the voting process. I am from Arkansas and have to yet had anyone tell me they either voted or voted more than a handful of times. So where did those votes come from?? Lets have ATT explain that one, but since they sponsor the show I sure we wont hear anything else from them.

Only people who have NOT listened to Adam’s studio performances on iTunes keep saying he only screams. He has a beautiful voice that is on pitch and clear. His record career will be amazing. We will see….

Check the top videos in iTunes, 16 out of 30 are performances of Adam Lambert in the show. AI owes a lot of money to Adam. This is not the right way of paying him back.

I love rock, However I do agree Adam has a wonderful voice – powerful – but that “screem” after a while was too much – where as Kris has mulitiple levels to his voice therefore making him able to sing very different types of music, except rock – sorry Adam wins that area. Kris I cannot wait for your album to come out I look forward to see what you were able to accomplish. I hope that some of the songs your were able to write also. You can’t say that Kris had more fans. He just had more votes. People from Arkansas placed more than 60 million votes, and there are only a few million people that live in Arkansas! Adam has way more fans, just check the number of googles searched for him vs Kris and check out all the blogs. There are 4 Adam fans to every 1 kris fan. Not by accident. And this also proves true with ITunes downloads; way more for Adam. Because Adam’s fans are not children. WE are adults with disposable income. He will sell more albums and they will be the albums that he wants to put out. But none-the-less, Adam doesn’t have to release the MOUNTAINS AND HURRICANES song (thank goodness) and he will have much more creative control over his career. And what a career it will be. I’m still sad that he didn’t win, but the bigger picture is that second place will be much better for him as an artist. Stand back everyone!

Kris’ comment about being laid back and low key, every once in a while sticking his head out, probably describes his fans. We may not be as aggressively vocal as Adam’s fans, but we all stuck our heads out and voted for him because despite our respect for Adam’s vocal prowess, we would much rather listen to Kris. Some of us appreciate his musical talent and understated style and we will be there to buy his album when it comes out. Kris’ journey on idol is amazing, the guy never got anywhere near the attention the others did, but he won over people with his artistry and vocals each week despite that. No other idol winner has had to overcome that handicap. There’s a reason he made it to the finals, and he does deserve to have won.

I’m from the Philippines and I’ve got to say Filipinos love Kris Allen. Yeah, Adam is a great singer and performer. But not everyone is a fan of that. Not everyone wants that kind of style. Even with Kris. Not everyone is a fan of his style. But the majority is. If you say he doesn’t have talent, then why does Jamie Foxx so badly want to make a record with him? And people also say that he won because of the teenagers. First of all, prove that to us. Do you even have evidence as to who voted? Second of all, if that were true, at least those teenagers are more mature than you Adam fans, being bitter and all. Get on with your lives. This is just a show.

You know, it’s funny being on the flip side of this. Last year, I was an avid David Archuleta fan. (I still am). And only NOW am I realizing how annoying I must have been to the Cook fans. I was angry and upset that he lost – claimed that America was delusional and that Archie was the “idol of the world” and crap. I love my David a lot, but the truth is Cook won because he was more popular and received more votes. Similarly, Kris won because he was more popular and received more votes. He won. Fair and square. No use complaining about it. Kris has a broader appeal. Conversely, Adam is immensely talented yet highly polarizing. To win Idol, you need to be more “middle of the road”. No use arguing about talent. They’re both talented. Kris was just more popular.

Also, I think it’s rude to use petty rationalizations to explain Kris’s victory. It’s not just because he’s cute. And he doesn’t have all the “teen” votes. All my adult friends voted for Kris, not Adam. Give credit where credit is due.

Lastly, Kris was NOT an underdog, despite media perception. Only ONE million votes separated Kris and Adam the week prior. Who knows – maybe KRIS was in the lead. Adam WAS in the bottom two at one point. Also, a lot of Danny votes slid Kris’s way. My point is that AI wants people to view Kris as an “underdog”, but I saw his victory coming weeks ago.

To whomever said something about Adam didn’t play an instrument during Idol…well, no he didn’t, but does he need one? I love a performer with an instrument…but his voice and total vocal ability ARE his instrument, and it is fine tuned. I was voting like crazy for Adam, for weeks, all the way through the finals. We are not ALL going to like the same thing, obviously. Wouldn’t this be a boring world if we did? I actually like the voice and style and personality of Kris, but I “prefer” Adam’s better. I never know what to expect from him. He moves me!

Yes, there are still people who LIKE Adam’s style of music and that amazing vocal range. Actually I DID buy Axl Rose’s last album. LOL I also love Sebastian Bach’s voice, who I think has a similar range like Adam, a smooth falsetto that is just mesmerizing! I am 41 years old, but there are younger fans (and older than I) who like him too. I think he’s a much better showman, performer, singer & just an all-around bigger STAR! He’s the best talent to hit that stage imo and one of the best to hit the music scene in a very long time. Both of them are winners, just each in their own way. Just depends on what you like. And I LOVE Adam! Just my own opinion. Congrats to Kris on his win. I’m certainly not worried about Adam’s career…and I plan to support it.

After 24 hours of realizing that Adam did not win American Idol, how could that possibly be, I have had the opportunity to see him in his post interviews and just what a fabulous student of life he is. I am beginning to think that the universe has very big plans for Adam. He has the qualities and wisdom to really bring change to our world on so many levels. American Idol has been part of his journey that we as a nation got to see and respond to. I agree Adam deserved to win this moment in time, but that moment is going to pale in comparison to what his future will bring to us all, not as fans but to the world. He is very gifted not only in voice and presence, but his percpective of positive thinking is by far the most infectious. Go ADAM, the world awaits. You are truly a global ambassador.

Adams studio releases are beautiful. Its all that teeny bopper screaming in the background that gets on my nerves in the live performances. I love his high register as well as his low. What other singer do you know that can hold a high octave note for 13 seconds or so, then not be out of breath.Its effortless to Adam, he’s a talented performer. International fans are great, but don’t think Americans don’t want Adam – most of his fans are right here at home. After 24 hours of realizing that Adam did not win AI, ( just how could that be) I am beginning to realize after viewing all of his post AI interviews that the universe has some big plans for Adam. He is such a student of life and his perspective of his AI experience is absolutely mezmorizing. His AI experience is but a journey for Adam and we as a nation got to witness and respond to it. He possesses the wisdom and the insight to really bring about change to the world on many many levels. His voice, presence but most of all that unsinkable positive thinking is what is sooo infectious. I am beginning to think he will touch this world like no other. GO Adam, the world could really use your magic.

No matter how philosophical I get about Adam being just fine, thank you very much, after Idol, I can’t help feeling sad and broken hearted that he didn’t win. It just isn’t right. The funny thing is that so many Kris fans keep saying that Kris won because he has the voice and is a good singer. Yes, he can sing, however, majority of the voters don’t have the ear for music/tone. Hence, they would rather vote for someone who is whole hearty/good boy next door/cutsie type rather than the real singer who has the stage presence to perform and speak. Kris is a nice guy and has talent, but America could not hear the true vocal talent/genious of Adam. Not their fault!!! Not everyone has an ear for music, just like not everyone is good at math. The fact is that Adam will go on and become more famous and sell more songs than Kris. He is different and unique, but mostly his vocal range surpasses many singers out there. There are too many Kris types out there, and after a while, people will forget about him. He does not have the star quality. I do wish him well, though. But, please stop bashing Adam. This was a singing competition, and his voice said it all. Too bad most of America could not hear it.

The voting method where people could cast so many votes from one area was wrong. It takes it from being a contest among talented artists to being a contest of state pride.

That said, I believe the title will offer more to Kris’s career than it would have to Adam’s. Kris is understated and less likely to have that huge international appeal that Adam will. Adam doesn’t need the title for recognition. He’s very smart and knows how to draw attention to himself without being crowned Idol. I think Adam’s fans wanted him to win the title, but Adam not so much. He doesn’t want a pop career and rockers, in general, are skeptical of American Idols.

It will work out for both of these artists.

It should have been a final with Adam and Allison. She was the only contestant that could play in Adams league. No offense to Kris but you did not belong belong on the same stage with Adam. When performing with Queen your doors were blown off. The voting is a result of 14 year old girls voting until their fingers went numb. Good thing is the shock of Adam not winning will only help his cause.

Kris won because he was the the boy next door. Not the the PROFESSIONAL as Adam is … I’m not taking nothing from from Adam…but this is “American Idol”. Kris will live up to this, It will be great to see this happen! This is a slap in the face of the ones that were saying with out hesitation that “Adam” was going to be the next A.I. Remember 50/50 chance! No one knows tell the fat women sings! This was the best “American Idol” Ever!

I am proud of Kris for being a stand-up guy and aplogizing to America for his fake win. The voting scandal has tainted his reputation (unfairly I might add because I doubt he knew anything about it)and he will never be thought of by most people as the “true winner”. Adam is already being referred to as a Superstar. Paparazzi are literally chasing him all over LA. Once the tour starts, look out. I’m expecting mob scenes for Adam like we saw for Elvis and the Beatles.

Can I remind everyone that both Adam and kris agreed that they BOTH had professional experience beofre the show. The only difference is that Adam’s performances were filmed and shown on YouTube. kris said he’s doen plenty of gigging in bars and clubs. And Adam was working in little known cabaret joints. He was understudy in a touring version of wicked, which means you mainly sing in the chorus. They were both struggling to ‘make it’ and they both deserved to compete.

Take a Midol, everybody. Both these guys are tremendously talented. But I thought GMAB said it very well, that Kris Allen’s sound is more relevant to what people are listening to today, right now. What I’m listening to, what my friends are listening to, what’s on the radio. And, sorry, but I live in San Diego. KISS? Sorry, they’re geezers. And yes, I WILL buy Kris Allen’s CD. I love his voice. Plus, he’s gorgeous and sweet. But if your taste runs to Chris Isaak, or Elvis, Or Broadway, or glam rock, Adam’s your boy. Plus, I really don’t want to see someone’s tongue sticking out of his mouth when he sings. Gross. Still, I have to say that Adam is extremely gracious and seems like a really nice guy with a good head on his shoulders. As everyone has said, he will be fabulously successful. So what’s the problem? TV show.

Stop bashing Kris and get a grip people! Adam and Kris will both have music careers and be successful. Kris won because he has fans too and they like his music. He fits in with the Jason Mraz, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, and Rascal Flatts artists out there. All are doing pretty well last time I checked compared to Led Zeppelin, KISS, and Queen.

Everyone’s talking about Adam even over here in Israel, he’s going to have a huge international career! and I hope Kris will do well as well, he’s cute and has got a nice voice too!

For those posting we should respect the “will of America”, all of America did not elect him as our Idol only the portion of individuals who watch a television show and participate in power voting. America will speak and be heard when the “real voting” takes place through actual purchases of their music, concert attendances, and support for the best performer.

Plus, comparing kris and adam is like comparing apples to oranges..both are amazing and winners in their own right, and it really depends on the type of genre of music you like. In a way this season’s finale is the most diverse cuz the finals was all about glam rock vs. acoustic rock which are pretty much polar opposites.

I like Simon Cowell, but it has been proven over and over that AI is not a “singing competition”. It is a popularity competition. As it should be, since it is even in it’s name:American Idol. And singing idols are not always chosen by the quality of their voices. In fact, more often not at all. Imagine if young Bob Dylan showed up initially. I doubt that without his guitar he would have even made it to Hollywood. How about Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits)? How about Paul Simon (Simon and Garfunkel)? I could list many others who had mediocre or even lousy voices and made it as real idols. It was always the combination of many factors which made people stars. The quality of the singing voice alone was always just one of many factors.

As for Adam and Kris? It depends who will do and what with them. Kris needs a genius song writer, who can write songs exactly matching his abilities, otherwise he will quickly vanish with low sales and broken contracts (see what happened to Taylor Hicks). Adam also will need a correct “settings”. He belongs to a Led Zeppelin style rock group with some great guitarist and other mass appeal.

I’m a mother and a devout Christian, too. As TV viewer, I recognize that American Idol is a singing talent contest open to all, regardless of orientation or religion. It is not supposed to be a popularity contest for a certain class of persons in society. Among Season 8’s contenders, Adam Lambert is the amazing artist and the best singer, gifted with a powerful voice. America’s vote for Kris, or America’s vote against Adam, seems to be a contemptuous hate vote against sectors of America that Adam stands for. ADAM LAMBERT DESERVED TO WIN. Even Kris Allen himself knows this in his Christian heart, so much so that as soon as he was unexpectedly handed the undeserved crown, he questioningly admitted in public that “Adam deserves this…” — righteously adhering to glaring truth and instinctively repudiating the ridiculous vote results that are far from the truth. You could actually count the seconds before Kris acquiesced and finally received the crown, but only after Adam encouragingly placed his arm around his shoulder. Adam Lambert is the true winner! What is wrong with America? Or what is wrong with this American Idol TV show?

I can’t believe people really like Kris. Yeah, Jaime Foxx, who else? Quincy Jones gives you a standing ovation, Slash comes on the show just to work with you. Brian May is admiring the heck out of you. Led Zeppelin gives you the thumbs up to sing their classic hit. Yeah, okay I’m supposed to believe that middle America with all it’s blandness knows more than these music icons? Hmmm, I don’ think so.

Kris is so humble about his win that it gets me on my nerves. I mean he definitely deserves the title! Kris is the only artist on the show who can re-arrange songs to make them sound more current, on his own talent (without any help from the producers/band). I was intially an Adam’s fan blinded by his over-the-top theatrical antics and judges’ brainwashing but after 2-3 performances, I realised that his performance style and singing just was not my cup of tea. Kris just came out of nowhere with his acoustic groove and creative performances and grew on me. The show is about finding the raw, undiscovered talent, not a professional with *gasp* 17 yrs of experience.

I think Adam is a wonderful person and singer, but didn’t that high pitch scream get a little annoying after a while? I couldn’t even listen to ‘Whole Lotta’ Love’.

I suspect the vast majority of Danny fans jumped on Kris’ bandwagon after his elimination, which secured the win for Kris.

Kris is going to make a great album. I can’t wait to hear it!

Don’t worry Kris! I hope Kris snot questioning the legitimacy of his win. His arrangements of “Heartless” and “The Way You Look Tonight” were accomplished and refined. Sure, he may have gotten some Christian votes and some Danny votes and some I’m-scared-of-Adam votes. That’s just life and it’s not at all his fault. He still got exposure and lots of genuine fans. There’s room for lots of types in music, geeze, chill out.

I just take solace in my knowledge that people cannot rig album sales the way they can phone-in votes. They’ll all be pirating Kris’s songs to each other the way they pirated the win, and we’ll see who really has the respect of the people who do the right thing.

I feel bad for Kris, but no, I wouldn’t buy his album. There are twenty of him on the charts already.

I say Kris should hold up his head and walk in the gift that has been given to him by the people who voted. It doesn’t matter who we think should have won America Voted and Kris is the winner. Adam is a good performer he can sing. The style of music that Kris and Adam sing are different, their personalities are different, the way they present themselves are different. Not to take anything away from either one of them. It came down to the people voting and the number of votes received regardless of what we think the out come should have been.

I truly just love Kris Allen. He’s so humble and yet he’s amazingly talented. He really does deserve to win. I wish he had gotten more exposure. It was clear that the producer’s preferred Adam. If we can get this worked up about an insignificant infomercial trying to sell us mp3s, phones, and cars, the more important issues (like poverty, global warming, diseases, social injustices, etc.) would surely be solved very soon. America picked who was more middle of the road, that is the majority view of who watches Idol and power votes. It is only America folks, I thank the show for finding Adam, he will be known in the US but also internationaly. It’s already happening for him, so come on, the title actully means very little, the winner is just works with 19 for a while. Watch the CD sales, that will be the true test right there, when people have to put their money where their mouth is! My prediction is that Adam will outsell any Idol previous or present.

Adam Lambert’s the true American Idol and I don’t understand; why do they always vote for the underdog. The show is called American “IDOL” not American “UNDERDOG”. I do agree that Kris is a very good singer but Adam is “OUTSTANDING” when it comes to singing and performing for all us music lovers. I honestly believe in my heart that Adam did actually win American Idol. I think the results have been veiled in secrecy. I voted all night for Adam- could not get through. Someone must have been on the line getting votes through.
I think Adam tied down by the AI title would have been detrimental. Financially it is better for all involved because Adam is in such demand by Diva artists to collaborate with. Having the AI title would have stalled him for a few months with cheesy commitments. I think producers want to get the ball rolling with Adam on more lucrative productions. He’s going to be their biggest cash cow ever. Just hope they give Adam a big well deserved royalty percentage. Just my opinion, though.

Kris reminds me of Josh Ritter and David Ford. Nice and soulful. I think that America, for the first time, got it right.

I cannot figure out the voting issue. I spent four hours on the phone trying to get through to Adam’s line. I was only able to get through about 40-50 times. Last year with David Cook I got through probably 400 times. I voted successfully for Adam each week with minimal busy tones. Yet, finale night..all of Adam’s lines were BUSY!!! Could someone have possibly tied up the lines with a computer? I wonder about that?

I honestly was shocked when Kris won. I was holding my sister’s hand the last few minutes of the finale. I think I almost broke it, actually. But I’m glad for Kris, although Adam should have won the title in my opinion. He was the most consistent contestant of the season and he has amazing talent. But I’m kind of glad Adam didn’t win. He doesn’t have to sign a contract and he can sing anything he wants. Thank God he doesn’t have to sing No Boundaries again. His version was better than Kris’s though!

When it came down to three I was so hoping for Danny (marry me gokey!) to be in the top 2. he is my absolute favourite. But America has voted and Kris has won. I think all the top 3 will have great careers, look at other people like Jen and so on who made it big and not even in the top 2. Adam is a bit to over the top for me, he would suit stage shows or a band like Kiss or Queens new lead singer even??? Danny is soulful and has a good gospel or soul career, he needs to work on his dancing and his hand gestures a bit more for live stage shows. Kris is ok, I didnt like him to start with but he grew on me, he was amazing the way he developed a song into his own (i liked the one with the drums in it a few weeks back Awesome!) or on the piano the other night he was amazing. Because the amount of talent in the top 6 in this one was mindblowing! I was mesmorised by thsi one, and even though im in little old NZ if i couldnt be home to watch i taped it, i dont know if they can top this show next year after those performances! Adam is in a class of his own and Im glad he didn’t win the Idol title as can do his own thing now…some of the previous idols pretty much like Kris….we don’t hear much about. This was actually the best vocals year when it came down to the last 5. Adam is a star and I for one cant get enough…hope to hear Mad World in the charts as that performance was awesome and will buy his cd when it is released.

I am a Kris fan who also had trouble getting through on voting night for several hours. Millions of people were trying to vote for both of them; that’s why the lines were busy.

Adam is amazingly talented and really doesn’t lose in any way. Because of his AI exposure, we all know who he is and in my opinion, will go on to be a megastar. He and Kris are both talented, but in different ways. I wish them both the best and plan to support both of them.

I have a hard time with all the media talking about a “shocking” result show, indicating that Adam was and is better and more deserving of the AI title. I would imagine that Kris feels pretty discouraged by all the negativity, even if statements said are not intentionally bashing him. I think it would suck to acheive my dream by beating out another very talented person only to hear how “shocking” and “wrong” the results were. I think it should be left alone and Kris should rightfully have his limelight because, whether his music is for everyone or not, he’s incredibly talented with what he does.

And if you Adam fans wanted him to win, why did you not vote? I’m pretty sure 90% of the people bashing Kris did not even vote for Adam.

Adam is good, however a telling point is that he had many years as a professional and didn’t make it. His range and sound are perfect for the musical theater, but he doesn’t want to perform there and didn’t have the patience to stick it out. Adam performs, but he doesn’t connect. On AI Kris connected with his audience. If Adam goes back to his roots and learns to connect with everyman he will have a long career. That’s if he wants a career that goes beyond his 20s.

For all your hard work, for your incredible integrity and talent, you are a star! Quit underestimating yourself! Take what God has given to you and celebrate…Take what the world voted for and become the next Keith Urban. Just because you’re not the next Broadway star, Las Vegas star and you don’t sing like Adam, DOES NOT mean you are not incredibly talented. Please, “cowboy up” and show your confidence and take your talent to the best manager ever…And may I suggest you talk with Carrie Underwood for someone has been leading her in an incredible direction. Take your win, celebrate and move on to the next step and bring us a new CD that will knock our socks off! You deserve it and we can’t wait!!!!!

People think that “someone” tried to tie up the phone lines for Adam, well have you tried talking to people who tried voting for Kris? I also tried, redialed, all 3 numbers for 3 hours, never once got through. It wasn’t fixed, Kris won fair and square, deal with it.

As a die-hard AI fan, I won’t watch American Idol anymore, because Adam Lambert should have won. This Kris character… he has no personality, no talent, and no charisma. What was America thinking?

I think its a matter of luck. Both of Adam and Kris are talented in their own way. During the finale…I could sensed that Kris will get more vote when Kara commented that the song “No boundaries” best suited Kris voice. Though Adam sang million times better than Kris, Viewers will easily influence by what the judges said. Kara’s comments plays a major role in Kris winning. It makes viewers to reconsider and change their mind to vote for Kris.

I tried to vote for adam for 4 hours and got through once. Last year I got through for david cook a ton. Makes no sense. They can not have a true count if the lines are all full. Why cant they add more lines. Both will be successful. Both are class acts…….

Been watching AI from the very start and believe that it’s a popularity contest. Both Kris and Adam are incredibly talented guys, very different from one another. Kris got more votes and won, end of story. Both will have a career. I will buy both their CDs ‘coz I like listening to different kinds of music. But if I have to pay to see a concert, then I would prefer to see Adam because I know it will be a “show”. And to Adam’s fans, isn’t it a relief to know that he’s not stuck singing “No Boundaries” for a year. It’s just not his style of music.

Do I think Kris is a talented and deserving guy? Yes! In any other competition, he would have been a stand-out performer, as would many of the others. But this year, Adam deserved to win. He is a natural talent with undeniable stage presence. A natural born entertainer. Do I think the vote was fixed? Absolutely! I tried to vote for Adam, and repeatedly got a message on one of the lines that it “could not be connected”. I felt right then that Adam was being handicapped. I know that Kris has a lot of fans, but so does Adam. And if you do some searching, I believe that Adam has the biggest following. In my opinion, Adam was handicapped by AI, because they were afraid of what he might do in the future, and how that might impact their family image and franchise. Adam has said himself that sometimes he does things for shock value, and I think AI was afraid of that. So, because of that, I will never again watch AI, or anything affiliated with it. I do, however, congratulate Kris and wish him the best. He is a very talented performer, and I look forward to seeing what he does next. But, Adam, you are a WINNER, no matter what AI says, and I look forward to supporting you for MANY years to come!!!!

I love it when people keep saying Adam is only for Broadway. And someone left a comment saying Adam has been trying in the music but still didn’t make it. Well, haven’t all the rest? Kris, Danny, all of them. It just takes the right platform for a good artist to be heard.

The only thing America has done is elect a guy who they like, but they will fail to buy his album later on. That has happened to half of the Idol winners. both seasons i watched AI, they made the wrong decision. i am contemplation why i even watch it in the first place anymore. i think AI lost a lot of viewers because of that.

and whoever is calling kris “humble” are using the wrong word choice. the proper word choice would be “unconfident,” as he is not. you need confidence to be a star, and thats just not cutting it.

however, kris seems like a nice guy, so i congradulate him. i still do not believe he deserved the title, though.

Why isn’t anyone being honest? Anyone that wants to be in the public eye in the future, needs to google their name and see what comes up. Any photos that might not be acceptable by main stream American needs to be track down and erased. Adams tongue kissing photos shocked me and I stopped voting for him. I no longer wanted him to be a roll model for my kids.

This is the biggest upset ever on any talent show. I was so overwhelmed with Adam’s performances and was so sure he would have won. Anyway, I am sure the Twitters votes won. It does not matter anymore ’cause ADAM is now already a superstar and he’s on the path to be a music ICON!!!

shocked: first of all, Adam was in a SINGING competiton, that was supposed to be based solely on talent, and NOT on his personal life. and if you listen to what Adam has to say, he is a GREAT role model for kids. He talks about love and acceptance, so maybe you should try to listen a little closer!!!

Kris is a super nice guy…I wish him the best! If he came in 2nd he would have been un-noticed! But Adam is electifying!! No other Idol in history comes close to his talent! He will be a mega-world class superstar! Yes…he did deserve the American Idol crown! His performances week after week were no comparison to any other!

As for the voting system…. we will never truly know the real fan numbers of either contestant, it is measured by the number of votes. When a single person, if they have the inclination, can vote as many as 100 (many more than that from the sounds of things)times, it is hardly what you can consider a fair contest. The end motive in all this is for E19 or whatever the heck it is called is to make tons of money. That is why we will never see a true or fair voting system for these contests. My hats off to both of these young men. CONGRATS!!! I’m very impressed with the class these two have shown since the results show…. SOME of these fans could take lessons from you. If christains were the reason Adam lost then why did he make it as far as he did. Looks like to me they would have gotten rid of him alot sooner. Kris may not be loud but he has what it takes as long as he stays true to himself and I think he will. May God bless you kris way beyond what you could ever think or imagine. Shocked: What is shocking is that someone in the year 2009 could be so closed-minded. Those pictures hurt no one, and the competition was supposed to be about singing, not the personal lives of the contestants. I am very impressed with the way both Kris and Adam have been handling things since the result. It really doesn’t matter that Adam didn’t win, since he was always going to do well whatever the result. And I wasn’t that surprised that he didn’t win since he was just a little too unique to get the majority of the votes, since many people would love him but some wouldn’t. So I wish Adam’s fans would stop bashing Kris just because he is more mainstream so appealed to more people! They are both great at what they do, and both deserve to be very successful. I appreciate that Adam has phenomenal talent and would appeal a lot to some people, but I personally would buy Kris’ album over Adam’s, since I only really enjoyed Adam’s less over the top songs (especially the ballads), whereas I love Kris’ style and have listened to most of his performances over and over. So I think that is why Kris won, because he appealed to more people as an artist.
And since I’m from New Zealand and couldn’t vote, I wouldn’t know what the situation was with all of you who think Kris’ fans cheated somehow with the voting. Many of us could sing Kris in the shower. Adam has the golden voice and energizing performance. Adam is unique. An amazing artist!! How many man would dare put on those glitters on their eyes. For me the reason Kris won is because like it or not, his style of music is current. Adam was constantly being called a “Glam Rocker” or a “Rock God” – a style of music that has not been relevant for over 20 YEARS. Further, the producers at AI matched him with the most overblown, self important “Rock” (I use the term loosely) band – Kiss (I always called them a “Shlock’ band) in the history of popular music. Kiss hasn’t done anything in over 20 years – playing all the songs they introduced in the 1970s while Kris was matched with Keith Urban a current hot act singing his current #5 on the charts song “Kiss a Girl” which was a GREAT duet, BTW.

I could see how some people think why Kris has more soul. Actually,
he was having difficulty in reaching the high notes to be in the same scale as Adam. So he closes his eyes and tightens his throat. Most observers saw it as singing from the heart. While Adam sings, effortlessly, those high notes. He didn’t have to crinch his face, nor close his eyes, and that’s the difference. Adam is a real “Shibumi” a state of effortless perfection!!!!

I have been an Adam fan since I saw his audition. I thought his voice was amazing then, but what grabbed me was his politeness in listening to the judges cringe-making comments at that time. My hat went off to him then and it is still off – in the dustbin in fact. Adam has a huge future ahead of him. I really wanted him to win the crown because to me that would show that America didn’t care whether or not one was gay or straight. But alas, America is not yet ready for that next step. So I feel sad, not because Adam didn’t get the title, but because parts of America are so deeply rooted, still, in homophobia. Adam, on a professional level, is better off for not having won the tite. Kris needed it much more than him.

To continue, I worry that the voting style could have been fixed against Adam. Would American Idol want the boy next door (Kris), or more eccentric Adam? I think they could have shut down Adam’s phone lines for while, or something like that.
I tried to phone vote over 150 times in one hour, and have friends who tried tons too, and none of us got through!!!!! That’s not fair. Adam was disenfranchized from many votes.

So New Zealand, and Scotland and others (I’ve visted both and LOVED both), don’t blame “America” from not getting it right. I think most of us were trying to vote for Adam, and could only get busy signals, and never a true vote.

Anyway, I think some authority or news investigator, ought to look hard at how the voting is tallied at AI! Seriously!

Do you know why Adam should have won the other night? Simply put, he was, by far, the best singer and entertainer. This is supposed to be a “singing competition” but, unfortunately, that always seems to be forgotten once, we get close to the finale. All of a sudden it becomes a popularity contest. Or a contestant is judged on other aspects, besides their singing ability, like say, their sexual preference. Who cares, whether he dates guys, or wears eyeliner. I mean, have the people that based their votes on these issues, rather than Adam’s talent, ever heard of Freddie Mercury? He fronted this little band called, Queen. Do you think that any fan of Queen really gave a flying flick, whether Freddie was gay, or if he pranced around on stage, topless, wearing; tight pants, a crown and a king’s robe? The guy could sing. Wow, could he sing, that’s all that really matters.

I know that Adam will be far more successful, as a singer/entertainer, than Kris Allen. Because, Adam is already a star. We all knew it when he walked into the first audition. By the time Hollywood week rolled around, Adam was already a AI fan favorite.

Now I hate to take away from Kris because, he seems like a genuinely nice, sweet, sincere guy, who was my personal choice, all along, to come in second place. He’s just not nearly as talented or entertaining as Adam. Adam is like Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant, Steven Tyler and Elvis, all rolled into one amazing package.

I also, think that Kris needed to win AI way more than Adam did, in order to be successful. Adam probably had numerous record labels all lined up, salivating, and just hoping that he would lose, so they’d get a shot at him. Oh, and not to mention the buzz that Queen is in consideration to sign Adam as their new front man/lead singer. Okay, how phenominal does one have to be to be able to fill Freddie Mercury’s shoes?

No, don’t worry, all you fellow, diehard Adam Lambert fans. Adam will do just fine, and I am personally, thrilled to sit back and watch this star rise all the way to the top.

Let’s just hope that AI can finally figure out a better way to decide the season winner. Perhaps the judges votes could be combined with the viewers votes, so, therefore, the judges opinions would actually come into serious play. Well, I guess we’ll find out next season if they changed it or not.

In the meantime, I will patiently wait for Adam to release an album or go on tour, either with AI, Queen, or as a solo.

I’m happy for kris. I really am. But i do think that Adam deserved it MORE! he CAN SING his face off! haha. and he can sing in circles around kris. Kris will become the new Jackson Brown – will have a very successful career touring and make 5+ great albums over the next 10 years and definitely win Grammy’s for songs that he has written. Adam will also do very well and hopefully avoid the overtures of Queen and Velvet Revolver and start his own band. The last thing in the world he should do is start touring with either of those moldy bands.

One more point – there has been some complaining about speed dialing, war dialers etc. BOTH sides can use the SAME technology folks so I think that washes out as a factor. Really come on people – both of these guys are great and appeal to different audiences. I like them both and will consider buying Adam’s record but will definitely be buying Kris Allen’s first record.

When you vote for the President of the US do you go into the booth and vote thousands of times like some kind of lunatic? No, you don’t. The voting system for AI is flawed. That’s why Adam lost. He lost because hate groups in AK used Gizmo and teenage girls who think Kris is cute and with time on their hands text till they drop. I’m done with AI.

You know, I read some of the comments people made, and it seems pretty much everyone wished Adam had won, except the few who truly believe Kris did deserve the title. I admit, I was completely shocked when Ryan shouted, “Kris Allen!” as the new American Idol. I SO thought Adam would win. I personally liked Adam better, but Kris was a nice guy who could sing, too. But, Adam wasn’t everyone’s ‘cup of tea,’because obviously the older people who watched American Idol didn’t vote for him, because Kris was a more down-to-earth guy. I wish that Adam had won, but it doesn’t matter if he got the title or the million dollar contract at the end, because when it comes down to it, sooner or later, Adam will be rising to the top of the charts and would have made it in the music biz no matter if he’d won or not. If he would have won, it wouldn’t really have made him more popular or made a difference in his AI career, because all it would have done was just get him a single faster. Just you watch, Adam will have a new single out sooner than you know it, and the only reason why Kris will have one out first is because he won the contract with the title of AI. I think personally, that Allison Iraheta should have won, because she can SING, but she didn’t, so she should at least do a duet with Adam, like the one where they sang “slow ride”. If they do a duet, their song will DEFINITELY make the top of the charts in no time.

This conspiracy theories about AT&T is ridiculous and getting a little old.First off, not all who voted for Kris are from Arkansas and not all who voted for him are in their teens. I’m from Nevada and not in my teens and voted for Kris (so did my family) because we prefer his voice over that of Adam’s. It has nothing to do with religion or sexuality whatsoever but has something to do with PERSONAL PREFERENCE IN MUSIC.

I understand that some people get excited with Adam’s performances but it’s not everybody’s cup of tea. Some people prefer Kris Allen’s soulfulness, he has an ability to draw you in when he’s singing, make you feel what he is singing, in other words, he connects.

I have to say that the headline to this article is misleading. It says, “Kris Allen Still Thinks Adam Lambert Deserved American Idol Crown.” But that’s not what he said. He said he thinks Adam had as much of a chance at it as Kris did. Not that he (Kris) thinks he (Kris) shouldn’t have gotten it. I appreciate his humility, but let’s not make it sound like he’s not grateful for the win.
By the way, I am a bigger fan of Kris’s than Adam’s, because I prefer Kris’s style of music and he does have a great voice. I am more excited about Kris’s album coming out than any American Idol since Kelly Clarkson. And that says a lot.

As a Brit, I totally favoured Adam Lambert,I thought he was so versatile he changed keys up, down, adapted and changed arrangements, he looked like Elvis Presley reincarnate, I believe as even Chris the winner stated, “Adam was the true winner” but, hey, it certainly won’t be the last we here from him. I can listen to all of my 40 or so downloads of Adam over and over, because he inspires and touches my heart. The World is shouting nonsense at the RESULTS. It is so obvious who has got the real talent and who the finale show is geared for. He has to sing solo for “We are the champion” first, else his voice would not be heard.

Totally agree with Ax487. How embarrassing to win when you aren’t the better singer? It’s like mistakenly getting the high score on test, because the teacher made a mistake in grading. It has to suck to know that you didn’t really score that high and that someone else is the deserving winner.

Correction – ADAM DESERVED IT MORE THAN KRIS, not just as much. Our papers “BIG SHOCKER” – whole page on Adam, but not on Kris. We are sickened by the results and we cried that Americans disappointed us. But after reading about how AT&T collaborated with the town of Arkansas, we got mad. It is not fair for 1 hometown to hog 38% of the votes, that that the rest cannot get text confirmation at all. From what I know, Adam’s landlines are really busy and people are dialing manually tediously 1 by 1.

Really Kris is nice guy, I’m sad for him, must be terrible to know he won only because US still prejudice people might can gay o bisexual or.. different. I’m evangelic christian and admire the christian work of Kris, that job is the most important he can to do. But in a singer competition… Kris is so average singer…I’m really sorry for him. Penny, I hate to tell you this, but I am a 61 year old female and I voted all season for Adam. Anyone who didn’t doesn’t know very much about music or talent. Kris is not a good singer at all’ and I am afraid he has a long row to hoe. Adam is going to be a mega star as was Elvis. Just wait until his DVD comes out and everyone will see.

Yes, Adam has that voice quality that can’t be contested however Kris’ way of singing has more FEELINGS on it, touching alot of people in ways that ADAM can’t.

Just listen to their own versions of NO BOUNDARIES, in Adam’s version, he has temendously shown his powerful voice, taking in those high notes with expertise but i didnt feel anything while listening to it. But upon hearing Kris’ version of the song, i instantly thought he should WIN coz he has place MEANING to that song more than ADAM did.

IF you’ve been a fan of American Idol, you would have instantly perceived that HE WILL WIN, the song interpretation easily gives away the SEASON’s WINNER.

i’m also a fan of lambert, but i was moved by kris’ version of the song no boundaries that’s why i thought kris will win. he did good on his version of it.

4-He just had a better all around image. But most of all, HES NICE LOOKING. Danny Gokey was a far more gifted singer but he didnt go as far because he wasnt as good looking. If kris was ugly he might not even have made it into the top 13. I know this is shallow but if people were deep they would have gave the title to the the best singer. BOTTOM LINE

I feel sorry for Kris. He’s always going to be known as “the guy who didn’t deserve to win”. Adam is already eclipising him in media coverage, polls, fan site membership, search engines and ITunes sales from the overall season. It’s going to be a repeat of Taylor Hicks/Chris Daughtry. Possibly even worse, because I think Adam is going to be even bigger than Daughtry. So many issues are tainting and clouding Kris’ victory that he’s going to have a hard time rising above it. Sadly, I think he knows it and so does everyone associated with the show.

The picture of Adam and Kris posted with this article speaks volumes. Who jumps out at you? Who do you notice? Who looks like a Star? Who fades into the background? Noone anywhere near Adam Lambert stands a chance. Kris will continue to be overshadowed until after the tour in September. He won’t be noticed until he gets away from Lambert. Until then, he’s fighting an uphill battle in trying to compete with “the new Elvis”.

I have downloaded ALL of the songs Adam did for Idol from I-tunes and I listen to my ADAM CD every day. Wow, Ring of Fire is so incredibly amazing. His voice is brilliant. It floats, it gives me chills. If America just listens to that recording ALONE, America would have to be so embarrassed. I say, no need to get mad, just get out there and support EVERYTHING that Adam does, and let’s show America, Adam IS the star. I just bought Tix to see him at the Allstate Arena in Chgo, and I look for everything there is about him on the internet. I LOVE YOU ADAM. THANK YOU for every idol performance and every GENUINE smile, and my cd that gives me goosebumps. You have touched my heart forever.

What a sad day in our land, when sexual preference matters more than talent in a talent contest. Everyone who is honest knows that Adam is more talented and performed better. And if they deny it, we know why. They whole world was looking, and it was a shame.

What interests me about comments I have read is baby boomer women love Adam. I am part of that group at 58 years of age. I really could not tell you about Chris, because he simply bored me so I tuned out his performances. Adam on the other hand, definitely was not boring, first time I downloaded an American Idol contestant’s songs in I-Tunes.

kris is someone who needs a second look.

first, he has a sincerity about him that shines through in his singing.

moreover, he is clever in his song choices and quite masterful in his arrangements. like it or not, he does have considerable musicianship.

losing was GOOD for adam. why? he needs to out as much creative distance as he can between himself and AI. thank goodness he doesn’t have to sing “no boundries.” let’s face it, kris may have made more sense of that song.

i think AI producers will let him sing a few Queen songs, if that is what Queen wants, because they will make $$$ off it too. Queen can sell out stadiums of 50 000, giving adam exposure. he will give them youth and charisma in return, AND reintroduce them to a new generation of fans. maybe he should not sing “bohemian raphsody” out of respect to Freddy Mercury, however. i don’t know if a tour is possible, with the remaining members of Queen being around 60. maybe just a few concerts or a few songs, or even new material.

Then he can go solo as well. Hopefully he will go in a Led Zep/Queen and/or Depeche Mode/Tears of Fears direction, but it’s his decision. Lots of decisions to make!

In my opinion, this really all boils down to style and preference. We look for other reasons to explain why our favorite didn’t win – religion, sexuality, a glitch in the system. If Adam was of different color or ethnicity I am sure that some of us would be playing the race card too.

Let’s put aside our silly games and be big enough to admit our disappointment that the person we wanted to win didn’t. It’s that simple. It preference and style. And when we look for excuses and create controversy, we only overshadow both artists and what they have accomplished. So maybe we should put an end to all the whining and conspiracy theorizing and celebrate what Kris AND Adam have done.

No doubt that Kris is a super-nice guy. But to win against Adam? Adam gave 110% every performance – his vocals and performance blew us all away – while Kris skated through on his good looks. One caveat to my comment, above: when I said Kris skated on his good looks, I didn’t mean he had anything over Adam (in my book, Adam is WAY hotter). I just couldn’t figure out why he stayed week after week, so attributed it to the teeny bopper ‘phone banks’ (ie: under the covers for hours each Tues night, voting).

I work as a Radio DJ in a large market. Top40/Pop station. Morning drive show. Both Kris Allen and Adam Lambert’s versions of the coronation song “No Boundaries” were made available to use to play. Kris’ has been getting more promotion since he’s the winner BUT our request line has been flooded with people asking to hear Adam’s version instead. When we do play it, we are flooded with callers and e-mailers saying “Thanks” and telling us how much they like it. Some stations are opting/choosing not to play it out of respect to Kris as the winner but my Programming Director has the attitude “Give people what they want” and our experience is, they want Adam.

Adam Lambert comes along once in a lifetime. (Twice if you’re older and were around when Elvis & the Beatles first hit the music scene).
Kris Allen doesn’t even rank up there with the best Idol winners.
People still joke about the fact Elvis lost a talent contest at the state fair (he came in 2nd).
Years from now, people will be joking about how Adam lost American Idol, too.

Fran, did you see & hear how Kris battled & struggled to sing “No Boundaries” during the finale? Everything has been “fixed” for the recording now, though. They’ve lowered the pitch so he can sing it without him losing him breath. It may be true that the song was better suited for his voice but Adam sang it effortlessly. Adam can sing anything, he’s the total performer who even handles interviews so well & already looks like a star! I’m going to stop feeling bad that Adam did not win because this might very well be a very big blessing in disguise for someone whose talent cannot be contained by an AI contract. He was too good for the show, he’s the best AI contestant ever! Nuff said!

In response to APRILE: Maybe you felt something when you heard Chris Allen sing but most of American felt a lot more when Adam sang, he was the “hot enchilada” as stated earlier and Chris was the “white bread” and unfortunately the tweenies texted their brains or lack of off for a “cutie heart throb type with medicore talent.” This was so skewd but Adam will be the superstar while Chris’ fast moving comet is disappearing.And to NISA: Please don’t think for a moment America did not want Adam for their idol, the tweenies out texted the phone votes and it is nothing but SAD!

Kris isn’t dumb. He knows what happened and so does everyone else. Large groups filled with hate and intolerance were determined to power vote for anyone who wasn’t Adam. They would have voted for a mute person if it meant Adam wouldn’t win. Combined with enormous support from his home state of Arkansas, that’s how Kris won. The opinions of these “groups” do not reflect the opinion of America as a whole but they were alot more serious and determined than the average viewer/voter. Since they weren’t really voting “for Kris” but rather “against Adam”, these people will not buy Kris’ album or buy tickets to see him in concert. It was a false outcome and Kris will be the one who suffers because of it.

I am not surprised at your comment. A lot of Americans feel the same way you do – xenophobic and apparently homophobic too. Middle America made its wishes known by the choice of the winner. America is not as progressive and a beacon of hope as the tv blaring into my living room would suggest. I will not invest any more time or money in American Idol or the music of its contestants (and I hope every foreigner will do the same) because I am sure their popularity in America alone can sustain them all.

Kris Allen is a classy guy. But when I heard Ryan announce him as the winner of American Idol, my thought was: “Whoa? Did I just hear that Jessica Simpson beat out Meryl Streep for an Academy Award? Because, really, that’s the difference in talent. Kris is a sweetie pie and he’s talented but Adam Lambert is just in an entirely different league and everyone on the planet knows it and acknowledges it, especialy Kris Allen. Kris will never be fully accepted as the winner of American Idol because Adam outperforms and outshines him and that will only be magnified on the tour. They were on Larry King Live and while Adam sat up straight, spoke eloquently, took control of the interview and came off funny and with alot of personality…Kris slumped in the chair, bit his nails, looked at the ground and mumbled his answers. It’s obvious to most people who see them and hear them perform…they are just in different leagues. Kris will have a nice, moderate career if he can rise above being viewed as “the guy who didn’t deserve to win Idol” (Taylor Hicks wasn’t able to) but Adam is heading into Superstar land. California girl needs to do her homework, or at least read the credits. American Idol is the brainchild of two Englishmen, Simon Fuller and Simon Cowell. It is executive-produced by a Frenchwoman, Cecile Frot-Coutaz, on behalf of an Australian company, Fremantle Media, which sells it to Fox.

Here in the UK alone we get the two shows on Thursday and Friday nights on mainstream TV, followed by a two-hour show on digital on Saturday afternoon, repeated on Sunday mornings. There is no escape from the creeping Cowellisation of the world.

As for opinions being irrelevant – don’t you realise they sell records outside of Arkansas?

Incidentally I don’t agree with the criticism of Kris Allen – he seems like a nice genuine guy who was outclassed by the whole scale of the circus. Put him in an intimate venue and he’d shine.

America did not vote for talent. They also did not vote for choice of music. Kris was never consistant and was off-key when singing with Keith Urban. The voting should be an accumulation of votes over the weeks. No contestant should be eliminated for a bad night. Also, busy signals can be counted. Call centers use them all the time to find out how to schedule. Anytime the numbers are dialed, whether they are through or not, a vote should be counted.

A couple of things. Let’s stop criticizing Kris, he must feel horrible. He knows Adam should have won.
People who say Adam screeches should have their ears checked.

I loved Adam through out the whole competition and every week said Kris should go home. He could not sing there were a couple other singers who should have been final two Danny or Allison. They deserved to be with Adam in the final 2. I was very disappointed Kris did not go when Allison did instead.

Adam should have won but this is actually better for him. So many record deals will be after him he’ll be making a lot more than with Simon’s record deal if he had won. I hope he doesn’t join Queen and does his own stuff. I’m really looking forward to what he can do.

To Kris fan all the way, Adam is an amazing singer. And I dont know what your talking about, Adam has written many songs. All of which are wonderful. And it was a SINGING contest, not who can play an instument and stinks at singing. God Bless Adam, A true SUPER STAR!

The only reason Kris won was because Adam got a better record deal from both Queen and Gene Simmons. The only deal Kris would be able to get was the one from AI. I noticed that after they announced the winner that Adam just gave a cocky smile and walked away knowing that Kris only won for that reason.

I don’t really follow idol, but I did vote for the finale. For me, I voted on who I think would make the best commercial album and that goes to Kris. Adam did not sing one current song, at least not that I could find on youtube. At least Kris did, and hell, he was the only one paired with a relevant artist today — Keith Urban—.

I look at it this way. Adam seems to have a lock on the cougars, but so did Taylor Hicks, and that got him real far. Most people in the real world, and not crazy idol fans that follow blogs will tell ya…Kris is commerical. Adam is broadway musical theater all the way. Adam is hella talented though, I mean his voice is technically better than Kris, but he is not current and neither is his sound. I mean come on…do you see Pop or Rock radio bringing back Kiss and Queen. Yeah, no.

Folks who was the real underdog in this scenario? Kris Allen is the well liked good old boy who never makes waves is everyone’s favorite and is a clean cut American boy. Kris has been singing and playing music since he was 8 years old and has gone to 8 different countries as a missionary, while performing all over the world and at home in concerts, etc. Kris even said he has the same amount of experience as Adam he just hasn’t been in wicked. Or Adam Lambert? The ugly duckling who in school was mocked at, made fun of, called the weird and didn’t feel like he fit in. He grows up and takes a risk on life and in his chosen career and as he put it had to hustle to get jobs so he could pay the bills. He transforms himself into the Adam Lambert we see today and during a competition he gets blogged to death. Yes even death threats due to his sexuality or talked about sexuality. He is discussed and debated and ripped to schreads on everything from his hair, his skin, his nails, his clothes, his hand gestures, his singing (which is amazing) and more. People are angry photos of him kissing two different guys are on the internet. The same two guys in multiple pictures but still (OMG THE END IS NEAR) he is kissing other guys. People shove microphones in his face and try to force him to say whether or not he is gay. It is like going up to a reporter and asking her if she douches! That is just rude and I think folks need to stop asking. This kid had folks going after his family saying it was his mom and dad’s fault he turned up that way. They went after his friends, his X-bosses trying to get the scoop. The entire time the heat was turned up he was trying to win a contest. Now I ask you did any other contestant have to deal with that much crap while doing their thing on AI? And the entire time Adam Lambert was style and grace and he even stood up for the little guy (Kris when he won and Kara when she was getting bagged and tagged). Adam doesn’t let anyone talk trash about his fellow American Idol contestants. He speaks highly of all of them and he protects them when they are put in negative light. I am hoping the other Idols have just as much class and ability to hold their own. We will see what the rest of them are made up of as this tour continues. Who will drop their friend Adam like a hot potato and not stand up for him. That will separate the men from the boys.

Why are so many people acting like Kris did something wrong? He just sang and people voted. Adam and Kris are both great singers with two different styles: Adam is crisp and in-your-face while Kris is laid-back and mellow. And why all the put-down about Kris’s Christianity? God loves Adam just as much as He loves Kris. Both of these guys were super nice and genuine and I wish both of them the best. They have become good friends and are moving on with their lives… so should everyone else.

“Idol” writes that Kris is the only “current” musician. Superstars don’t do what’s already being done a bit better; they do their own thing, even if it messes with the status quo. Adam may achieve superstardom. Kris, not a chance. (Btw, note that Kris is constantly referred to as Chris. Parents striving to give their kiddies “unique” names, please note that uniqueness often equals typo.)

Bloggers who don’t know Adam Lambert haven’t heard his mainstream pop sound in songs he wrote before he was an American Idol. Songs like: Crawl Thru Fire, Kiss and Tell, Pop Goes the Camera. These are all on Itunes, all original songs by Adam and all played in the underground dance clubs. He is very current and has a very current Techno-sound as well. Adam’s dance music is all the craze right now but that isn’t all that he does. That is why he will be around longer than Kris because he can adapt and change and continue to reinvent himself. Kris so far has one sound. Now I won’t slam Kris because Adam likes him and Kris is a friend of his; if Kris wasn’t under Adam’s wing I’d shread the guy. Adam can do a lot more than just Rock.

I think you mean Adam Lambert’s songs are on Youtube and not on Itunes. Only his 10 Commandments song is on Itunes. Mayber they can start selling his Youtube songs but so far that’s the only one. Is anyone else amazed that Scott can play the piano so well? I think he is fantastic. I would love for Adam to sing a song with both Matt G and Scott playing piano on a record and singing along with him. I like the blend of their sound. “Kris Allen Still Thinks Adam Lambert Deserved American Idol Crown”.
Yes, and so does most of America.

This is a tale about Good v. Evil and how our perceptions can be so wrong. Week after week we were told that it was a contest between the L.A. theater guy and the guy who sings at church. Our theater guy Adam has an edge, he could get up on stage and be the bad boy swaggering to funky music, the man whose tears we tracked, or the cocky Rat Pack Romeo. Our heart was always in his hands and he could make us feel everything. There was something magic happening between him and his audience. Our L.A. guy was assaulted by the media in a way that was unprecedented for an Idol contestant. Diverse spectrums of our society wanted to suck off his media attention, everyone from Perez Hilton to Bill O’Riley wanted to further their social agendas. Wasn’t this a singing contest? Throughout this ordeal Adam worked to bring something we could love to the stage every week sang his heart out an amazed us with the awesomeness that is Adam Lambert. As we got to know him we realized that it wasn’t just that he could sing, he could charm, disarm and with intelligence and grace showed us how fearless winners perform under adversity. This is the man who was portrayed as “evil”.
The good boy with the crooked smile came in under the radar. If you don’t know what that really means, it is a euphemism for unimpressive talent. The good boy has been all over the world helping the poor we are told. The good boy is the hometown hero and is totally eclipsed by our L.A. guy. The world was watching Adam, producers being the opportunist that they are, had Adam sing last so as not to lose their audience. Judges were accused of “pimping” Adam by giving him praise. When the truth of the matter is that a very ordinary home town boy, the guy you can find in any college campus coffee house was wrongly elevated to the statute that would suggest that a competition was going on. Need I only remind you that Marvin Gaye was seen jumping out of his grave on finals night.
Second place was not what the marginal talent from Arkansas wanted. His team of savvy tech fans decided that in a display state pride that would go for the gold. It did not matter to them that the guy that was going for the legit win had bested Kris week after week. The guy we cried for, just for being in the bottom two, the guy that befriended his fellow contestants with such humility and praise that even they thought that they were more talented then they are. Kris and his Arkansas pals did not give a damn! Ruthlessly they set up shop to take Adam down. They planed it at church! They game planed on the radio! Kris hometown posted on the Internet how to generate thousands of votes per person how to defy the time zone restriction and in my opinion, how to jam Adam’s lines.
How many other contestants were affected by this vote stacking? Did less talented Kris take down Danny from his place in the show down; take Allison down on her strongest night? We will never know. Now Kris wants “respect” in the music business. Sure Kris.

This was a sleazy win by a reprehensible group of people. Kris has a hollow victory that lacks legitimacy. He knew when the winner was announced that the title he took belonged to Adam. Him and his fans screwed Adam! Let this be a lesson about public perception. Just who was “Good” and who was “Evil”?

Simon Cowell has just announced that Adam Lambert is doing a duet of “I Got You Babe” with Susan Boyle.

As much as I’m a huge fan of Adam’s (and my 12-yr old daughter’s first crush…), his first album may polarize his fan base. On Adam’s first album, he’s said it will likely be in a genre of its own, rock-electric-dance, etc. and he’ll be co-writing much of that effort. Granted, he’ll have a great deal of industry support for that album, but there is a chance that it will be focused on a smaller niche audience than any of his AI song selections.

I’m proud of Adam for staying true to himself and not compromising his approach to AI, but taking that same approach to his first album could prove dissapointing to many of those who loved his take on more conventional, popular songs.

If his album is a significant departure from the style of songs he sang during the competition, he risks losing much of his popularity momentum. I think he is smarter than that, and will take some risks without going overboard, but I’ve seen music meltdowns before, and I hope Adam doesn’t take his huge fan base too much for granted in his first album.

I think Adam is truely honored that Queen and Kiss think he’s be great for their bands, but I also trust that he sees them as icons of Rock’s fading past, a label he really needs to avoid. He wants to reinvent music for the future, and I hope his album doesn’t try too hard to accomplish that goal in one shot. A great voice singing lousy music doesn’t sell albums. Here’s hoping he makes all the right choices…

I love Adam’s singing and I am so glad he didn’t win. Now he can make the music *he* wants to make, not what corporate America chooses for him to make. Most of the first singles sucked. So kris allen, good luck with your record deal. But Hello Adam and his creativity. I do hope he gets in with Queen. He’d make amazing music with the group.

I have to say that I’m glad Kris won. I got so tired of Adam screaming every song he sang. When he sang from his heart, it was good, the rest – I tune out.

American Idol Season 8 winner Kris Allen sold more downloads this past week than runner-up Adam Lambert did… Allen’s 11 entries on the Hot Digital Songs chart sold a combined total of 479,000 downloads. Lambert’s 15 entries on that chart sold a combined total of 390,000.

You know, we here in Europe did follow the American Idol 8th season very intensively. A problem we just got by buying music from iTunes. We couldn’t by anyone, no Adam’s or if one body wanted, even no Kris’ , because why?? we are not living on the ocean’s other side. So even Kris won the competition, Adam is a more greater and superb artist, who has fans around the world. Of course American Idol tries to find a new American star. Probably they find their own, but Adam is a number bigger. You will see when Adam will sell his first CD, who will buy and how much. Than, we can compare these both final competitors.
Why Queen is interested in Adam? Because he is so brilliant in everything he does, singing, performing, creating new ideas. I am involved with music, now as a professional, since I was 5 years. You need more than just talent, you need more than just a good voice, you need more than just technique to have good fingers to play an instrument to reach this degree of artistry that Adam did show on Idol’s 8th season.

We Asian love to watch American Idol although we can’t vote. But what i can tell is that here in the phillipines and singapore, the majority of idol fans loves Adam Lambert. After the finale, the next morning everybody are sooo dissapointed that Adam didn’t win because we think that he really deserves it. Most of the radio stations in my country are rooting 4 Adam, cuz fans kept calling and utter their dissatisfaction. Anyway, kudos to the winner and Adam Lambert. Hey, “Kris fan all the way”: Have you checked the iTunes charts lately? Kris’ album is not even in the Top 10 now…in the US & in Canada! This is where the real battle begins, when their careers start taking on a definite path. I must say, though, that Kris needs the AI title contract more than Adam because without it, he’ll just be another average & mediocre singer. Watch him fade into oblivion! I have nothing against Kris, I think he’s nice & all that. So just praise Kris all you want…but leave Adam alone!!!

I’m glad that American Idol turned out to be a singing competition not a screaming competition. Yes, Adam had a few good performances but all other performances were ruined with excessive screaming.
Overall Kris is much better singer and America chose the right winner.

Kris is completely being overshadowed by Adam on their Post-Idol publicity rounds. Adam is just more charismatic and has more “star quality”. Kris won for alot of reasons that had absolutely nothing to do with singing or music. I believe in his heart he knows that although he did an video interview with US and said that he thinks he won because “More people like me and my music” (said that with Adam sitting right next to him). I suppose that’s what TPTB at Idol are telling him to say or the info they’re feeding him. It’s the old “If you say it enough, perception becomes reality”. Buzz around Adam is going to continue. Soon, noone will be talking about Kris at all.

Adam has definitely over-shadowed Kris post-idol. He just has so much charisma and charm in the interviews, and Kris is very quiet and reserved in comparison. That said, I love the Kradam love, and think they are super supportive and sweet together! But Adam definitely comes off as more of the winner, he just has that IT factor everywhere he goes. But I think Kris’s lack of IT factor is part of what got him the win – he’s just very humble and quiet and unassuming, while Adam is larger than life.

I’m ok with the results now, because Adam is, but seeing the 2 of them back-to-back on the Today Show yesterday, I got kind of sad: both did a good job, but the reaction to Heartless was just kind of tepid, while people were practically crying during Mad World – it was just so much more moving and powerful, and Adam’s voice sounded absolutely beautiful! Adam Lambert is the sole singer who elevated the show popularity week after week and he obviously set a new high level of benchmark performance unmatched by anyone so far in the history of the American Idol.

Kris Allen may be the title winner and that’s just a title after all but we do know who the real superstar is, don’t we all? Just remember it’s Adam Lambert who gave his heart and soul with a cool unique flair and style for every single performance throughout the entire show. Love Kris. Love Adam. Each will have their place on my ipod… Kris will be playing when I want to chill and Adam will be playing on road trips and the like. They both bring a different style and different skill set to the mix – for me it is not that one or the other is better – they both are awesome at what they do.

In five years time, the winner vs. runner up result will probably prove to have been the best result for each of their careers. Kris will do great either way but Adam would not likely fair as well under Idol contract for a year and having to fit their mold, instead of his own.

But the AT&T and Arkansas cheaters made their own miracles…and they succeeded but in a fraud way. There’s no other way to beat Adam but this…cheat…Arkansas invited AT&T to teach them how to cheat & AT&T became a cognivant…Adam fans had gone crazy voting with single vote for one dial and they don’t know that cheating was happening at one state where one dial was converted to a thousand votes.

i dont get how this is an upset at all! ok, they both made it to the top 36- meaning that the judges liked both of them. they both made it to the top 2- which means that america liked both of them. one of them won. i dont get the upset in that.

Welcome to tainted Idol. All I can say is while Kris was singing for WalMart executives this week, Adam was getting ready to accept his first of many awards – the Young Hollywood Artist of the Year Award. If that’s what runner-up means, then I’d rather finish second! ADAM IS THE BOMB!

All can say what they want but the real American Idol is Kris Allen. The public voted and he won. All who have a problem with that should have voted, voted more or prayed harder. The two men have totally different music and will cater to different audiences. So who really cares if Adam Lambert won some rink dink award both will do well and have very nice lives if they play their cards right rather they are number 1 or 10 on the charts. Adam is so popular not for his singing but for all the publicity he was given by AI and the media during the competition. Kris was never featured or talked about or even focused on by anyone during the entire season and floated through on his talent alone. That is awesome and he has my highest respect for that. Kris Allen, American Idol? Embarassing! The rest of the World is watching us saying WHAT? Are you teaching your children the arts? We “crown” mediocre out-of-tune flat Kris why? Cmirror, Adam Lambert supported Kris Allen on the show. I’m not really sure how you over looked that fact but I thought it was very obvious. The judges weren’t always kind to Adam but after his performance of Tracks of My Tears they could no longer ignore the fact that he was the break out star of the season. The press and the show didn’t decide that, the American people did. Going into the finale, all the “Favorite Contestant” polls showed Adam as the clear favorite. So the results are a big surprise to more than half the people who watch the show. Kris may have won, but more than half the viewers picked Adam as their favorite. Why would they stop talking about Adam just because he didn’t win? He’s still the same talented person that they were talking about all season.

Kris IS the American Idol because he appeals to the greater majority of AI viewers; and the rumoured 15 Million+ votes that he received over Adam shows it. Isn’t that what the term “American Idol” refers to? Sure, Adam has a good voice, but he ISN’T an American “Idol” to the extent that Kris IS!

I think Adam did deserve the crown a WHOLE lot more than Kris. I cried when they announced the winner and it wasn’t Adam. Adam is the best singer i’ve ever heard and he WILL be a rock n roll legend. Kris just never popped out at me from the beginning.

Adam is making all the headlines… Last time I checked since the finale Kris only made a couple and it’s not thoroughly broadcast online and on National Television. Kris sang the National Anthem during NBA Final Game in LA, and I’m tellin’ ya Kris did not do a good job. He missed the Hi-notes Ouch!.. You can view it on You-tube. I think Adam was being way more flamboyant, cast a wider shadow than Kris did. But ya know what? Kris was just as good (better in my opinion) than Adam. I think it depends on what type of music you go for. Rock is wilder, flashy, load, energetic. Nothing wrong with any of that if you like it. Kris is laid back in his groove kinda thing…nothing wrong there either if you like it. It’s just that if you ARE the laid back listener enjoying your Kris, you probably arent the ones in the media yelling about who robbed who of the American Idol Title. Make sense? Seriously Im sure Adam is a nice guy, but he reminded me of my Aunt Sue. Adam being gay is irrelevent… and Kris really doesn’t look great anyway. Plus, to everybody who says Adam “screams” and that’s why he lost; he’s not screaming. He’s a countertenor, he’s just singing high. He keeps good track of his voice so that he’s not screaming. If he was screaming, he would be damaging his voice. And this is not a competition on which style of music you like best, it’s about the best singer.

P.S. Adam doesn’t just do rock. If you actually paid attention to anything, since when was “Mad World” rock? And he also says he likes to change genres and is a mix of just about everything.

If the competition has nothing to do with which style of music people like best and is only about finding the best singer, then couldn’t a really good classical singer win? And would that happen? – No, not on AI. Because it’s about finding someone who can sing but is also relevant and popular, and whose records the fairly mainstream audience will buy.

When it comes down to two artists as extremely different as Kris and Adam, of course a lot of it will come down to preference!

Just so everyone knows that kris fans cheated!they were offered a deal with at&t that they can vote with FREE text messages so that means more people voted by texting which means everyone who text got through to american idol votes but if you call the line is soooo busy but adam fans had to call because most people did not want to pay for texting and had to wait the looong lines and most didnt get through the votes!!! Another thing is the population is arkansas(kris state)votes were like 3.8% votes but the population was only 2.8% that means EVERY PERSON IN ARKANSAS had to vote 13 TIMES EACH!! THAT IS ridiculous how can they do that and i dont belive every person voted for HIM!!!! THAT IS CHEATING THEY HAVE TO LIMIT 1 VOTE PER PERSON!!!!!!
