Before Giants Stadium is torn down to make way for the New York Giants’ new $1.3 billion home, New Jersey’s Bruce Springsteen will say goodbye with a series of gigs. Springsteen told fans at his May 21 gig at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey, that he’ll be returning to the Meadowlands one last time, for a three-concert stint planned for September 30, October 2 and October 3.

Springsteen and the E Street Band will be the last musical act to rock Giants Stadium, and tickets for the final shows the venue will ever see will go on sale June 1, at 10 a.m. EST.

Springsteen’s current North American tour concludes this Saturday, again at the Izod Center, before heading overseas for a European trek. Springsteen and the band will be back on U.S. soil in June, when they’ll headline the 2009 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, which invades Manchester, Tennessee, starting June 11.

More U.S. dates will be announced shortly, but the Giants Stadium gigs are the first to be confirmed. Springsteen is expected to roll out the tour’s complete routing within the next few weeks.

Fitting..The NJ Giants | 5/22/2009, 8:17 pm EST

It’s great the Boss is closing Giants Stadium. Having New Jersey’s greatest star close the NFL’s own New Jersey Giants is fitting.
There is nothing New York about the Giants. They play and practice in New Jersey.

The giants have training camp in Albany NY … so you are WRONG

agree how fitting it is that New Jersey’s greatest star will be the last to rock out Giants Stadium. wish I could make it and may try still. have never seen my favorite artist of all time play at Giants….I saw the tour opener in San Jose and the show blew me away like every Bruce show I’ve seen. breaks my heart and then some to think that this may be the last tour with the E-Streeters.

The Giants practice in the Meadowlands Sports Complex…in New Jersey…so YOU are wrong. Nice try though.

I—don’t know.

You are actually both correct. The Giants training camp is in Albany and they practice during the regular season in new jersey.

Whatever
