- Mariah Carey revealed the name of her new album, the follow-up to last year’s E=MC2, to followers on her Twitter yesterday. “Bcuz I Love U, I want u to be the first to know the title of my new album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel Its very personal & dedicated to u,” Carey wrote. No release date was confirmed.
- There may be some news on the David Bowie front: When a fan asked Bowie’s wife Iman on Twitter if the Thin White Duke will release a new album, Iman responded, “haha he’s cooking something up I’m sure you will love.” Bowie’s last LP was 2003’s Reality.
- The Black Eyed Peas and retail giant Target have joined together to release an exclusive deluxe version of the Peas’ new album The E.N.D. on June 9th. The edition will come with four additional songs, six remixed hits and video content not available on the standard release.
- After the death of Ron Asheton, Iggy Pop is considering reuniting the Stooges with guitarist James Williamson, who played all the guitar parts on the band’s classic Raw Power. According to Undercover.com.au, Iggy Pop said, “I had a meeting in LA last week with James. It was the first time we had seen each other in 30 years. So we talked about doing something together. Raw Power would be the repertoire.”
