  • Coldplay’s Website has been temporarily paralyzed by fans flooding the address to pick up the free live album LeftRightLeftRightLeft. Chris Martin and Co. promised a copy of the nine-song collection to every fan who buys a ticket for their summer tour, as well.

  • Surveillance footage that captured Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament being robbed outside an Atlanta studio was broadcast on a local news report, Blabbermouth reports (with a clip).
  • The Beastie Boys stashed a bonus 7″ boasting two new, unreleased tracks in some copies of their Check Your Head vinyl box set, NME reports via a not-so-new post at Mic to Mic. “Lee Majors Come Again” features the trio rhyming over hardcore punk and “B Boys in the Cut” is an a cappella.
  • Interpol’s Paul Banks has posted his first MP3 as Julian Plenti on the Matador Records blog. “Fun That We Have” features a brighter sound that Interpol’s broody post-punk, and a NIN-lite aesthetic.

The surviellance video captured some chilling footage. Jeff bolts out of the white SUV and runs backwards, only to get tackled while tripping on some steps. Hopefully Ament is better by now since this happened on April 27th. We all love you Jeff and justice will be served!

Southern Tracks Studios is in a terrible part of town. I hope they increase security. They get big acts there because Brendan O’Brien likes to work there (last 3 springsteen CDs were done there as well). I hope Jeff is OK and not too down about Atlanta.
