I hope Adam will win, he truly has the best vocals. I would love to see Adam and Steven Tyler sing together on the final show. That would be awesome and the best ratings ever.

I was upset when Kris was picked over Alison last week, and today I am even more upset that Kris was picked over Danny. Although I believe Adam Lambert will be the next “idol”, Danny has the best vocals when you compare him to Kris. Danny and Adam would have made a more competative finale. I just don’t know how Danny didn’t make it when most of the blogs I have read complained that they had problems getting in to his phone line…

I believe America will see that the state of Arkansas stands behind our own and we will vote, vote, vote and then vote again for our home town boy. Our state may not be able to carry Kris Allen all the way, but it will not be from the lack of trying.
And, we are not just voting because he is from our state, but because HE HAS THE QUALITY AND TALENT TO BE AN AMERICAN IDOL. We Shall see next Wednesday if others believe as the state of Arkansas – Kris Allen is someone that our children can idolize and should be the next American Idol.

Since Kris probably has the most 10 year old fans who can text around 12,000 per hour, I am afraid one of the greatest newfound superstars in years will not be crowned. They should not allow texting because it is not truly a voting democracy…

The 2 finalists are always both winners, they always both go on to have very successful careers. At this point neither one of them are the “loser” in this competition, it’s just a matter of who wins the title “American Idol”.

Calm down “pissed off” person. Danny, Kris and Adam are all great in their own right, it’s just a matter of who America votes for the most. Danny just didn’t get enough votes. That doesn’t mean he’s not good, you don’t make it that far on having a bad voice!

Adam is truly a SUPERSTAR! The voice, the looks, the stage presence, the charisma and charm. As far as I’m concerned it’s not even a competetion anymore…Kris too BORING! and for 1 reviewer to say they would leave country if Adam wins, YOU BETTER START PACKING!!

Adam will most likely win, but I would prefer to see Kris win it all – not that it matters, as all three have futures in music locked up. Lambert has a great voice, but I find his higher notes annoying (but that may be a matter of taste). I should say that I do like hard rock and am in no way against Plant like screeching, I just do not think Lambert pulls it off. When he does sing, it is great.

He is like a male Christina Aguilara – both have great voices, so good that they often use them as instruments, which they abuse with strange habits (Aguilara vibrations, Lambert’s dog screeches).

Kris Allen is a whole different kettle of fish – a solid work a day voice, pleasant and competent, but attached to a musical fluidity and intelligence that can take the everyday and rework it to make something new and fresh.

It is a singing competition “Anonymous”. that’s why it’s friggin confusing that Adam has come this far. He screams like a 80’s hair band reject or a dolphin being kicked in the face! He screams in songs that have no business having screaming in them! Adam is the most popular contestant, for reasons only the easily swayed (and obviously deaf) media and public know. So if Adam wins, it’s because of popularity not talent.

You should vote based on the CD you would actually buy. I know Adam has an incredible talent BUT, his sound does not appeal to me. I would never support it. I think you must vote based on where you would put your dollar. Mine is with Kris. His sound is one I would play over and over again. It doesn’t make sense to vote for someone you would not actually want to hear on the radio or listen on a CD over and over again. They need to know who you will support when the show is over. So, where is the controversey over the Adam Lambert name sewn on the back of Katy Perry’s Elvis cape after Ryan first asked, the boys, if they wanted results or if the wanted to hear her sing? Adam obviously knew it was coming because of how he immediately responded “I want to hear her sing!”
They have all ready annointed him king.

I fear Kris will win because Danny’s supporters are more likely to vote for Kris. Adam will have to pull a “Mad World”, “Whole Lotta Love” or “Ring of Fire” kind of performance to sway more traditional listeners. Shout out to Adam: keep the power notes to moments of emotional intensity–don’t overuse them as you did this week; don’t forget the melody–let us hear more of your beautiful singing as well as your rocker self; beware of the band and backup singers (they destroyed “Cryin” this week)–it’s better if they’re on stage for rock songs.
That’s my two cents worth of advice!
That being said, I think Adam is fantastic and should win. He has made American Idol exciting and interesting this year–even for those who might prefer Gokey or Allen I bet.

I’m almost positive Adam will knock it out of the park, but I really like Kris (and his voice range) and can see why all the teenage (and adult women) go nuts over him. He is every woman’s fantasy singing in her ear – but Adam will win it all! Adam’s vocal range is incredible as well as the notes he can hold. He is over the top of ALL previous Idol winners! A “whole ‘nother level”!!!

Don’t be so sure of a win by Adam. To be sure, he would be my choice, and I think he deserves it, but I think Gokey and Allen split the votes of a large demographic that probably will not be interested in voting for Adam. With Gokey out, people who previously voted for him will be much more likely to switch their vote to Allen rather than to Lambert. With such a narrow margin (1 million out of 88 million, or 1.14%) between the first and second place contestants, it seems likely that if voting patterns stay consistent Allen will get the win. Remember, for all we know, Allen could have actually won the most votes last night.

I was in shock after danny was voted off. I was hoping to see an adam/danny finale. It would have really been a very fair competition. but i guess the magic fingers of teenagers texting for kris are more powerful than talent. I love adam and Hope he wins.

Well being a former Milwaukeean, I of course was totally rooting for Danny Gokey. My true AI Dream would have been to upset the apple cart and have Adam voted off last night. I hate his screaming voice and the nasty eyeliner and spandex. Gross throwback from the 80s. Funny thing is I love 80s and rock-n-roll but this man sings with no heart and is a drip of a personality. He hasn’t said nearly one word all season. I want the whole package, voice, style, music, humility, good potential. I’m a sucker for a real underdog. So. I will take my disgruntled AI fan vote and give it to Chris. Here’s hoping here’s hoping ! If Adam wins, I won’t watch idol again because Simon should shut up and not try to sway any voters. Adam will probably win. He is a good singer. Kris is where he is because most of us underestimated him. Although he did not perform well on every week of the show, this guy has lots and lots of talent. The way he can arrange a song to make it his own is phenominal. He is to be commended for that. I first took interest in American Idol when I heard Kris perform “Ain’t No Sunshine.” He has been my idol ever since. At this point, it does not matter who wins the finale. Kris is going to get what he wants out of this, and that is what really matters. He’s already a winner in my book.

Kris is an average singer who DOES NOT belong in the final of AI, only performing in a bar. I would never waste my money on a CD of his or a live performance. Just shocking results last night! Next week, with Adam vs. Kris, there is no competition. An exciting grand finale would have been Adam vs. Danny. At this point, Adam should and will win.

Personally, I’m much happier have my kids look up to either Adam or Kris–both of whom are genuine, nice people–than to sanctimonious Danny Gokey. Danny parades his beliefs, Kris apparently lives them. Big difference. And Adam is hardly the devil incarnate. Would Kris’ family (and Kris) love him so much if he were? And anyway, it’s a singing contest. If it’s about singing, Adam should win. Like him or not, he has a stunning voice (and he can certainly perform without a lot of backup–Upright Cabaret, anyone?)

I think it’s impossible for Adam to win it now when you know that most all of Danny’s voters will vote for Kris. It’s a done deal.

One more point – I may be wrong about this, but doesn’t the winner have to basically sign over a lot of creative control for their first recordings with (Idol affiliated) 19 Entertainment. Depending on how you look at it, it might be better not to win.

OMG!! Have you listened to Adam’s studio cut of “ONE” from Itunes. It is rich flawless vocals people. It is so BEAUTIFUL that I could not hold back the tears. I was surprised because it did not sound good with the band Tuesday night. I think the back up singer was also too loud. So, the studio version IS INCREDIBLE!! Adam is already selling a lot more than the competition on Itunes. This is a simple fact whether any of you want to buy his music or not. Adam is already an International Star with or without the Idol title.

Well i have watched this show for years and i think Idol sucks in everyway this year. First off I am pissed that Danny got voted off and was never in the bottom three. I also think it was rigged. Paula gave Danny a song to sing I have never heard of and I don’t feel that was fair to Danny. He was ripped off. I knew when I saw the show he was going to be gone. And I do feel like the lines were messed up I tryed to vote two nights and never got though. The people they had preforming this year most were stupid. Why do we support all the black people out of our country every year. There is so much help needed in the USA. Adam Lambert has worked his butt off each week attempting to do exactly what the judges instructed….he made each song his own, and he worked continuously to give each song/show 110%, right down to the clothes and lighting. I would not buy an Adam Lambert CD. I would definetly by a Danny Gokey CD and see him in concert. I would go see Adam Lambert in a Broadway musical where he belongs. He is an outstanding singer, he obviously has star power and charisma; however the screaming thing he does is unpleasant to say the least, I would prefer to listen to someone who has the ability to make me feel good when I listen to them and that’s Danny Gokey! Adam; go to New York, Danny go make beautiful music as you do. Kris: talented and sweet but not American idol calibre, not at this stage of the game.

Kris is ho-hum, we see hundreds like him come and go in Athens. He’s not an entertainer. Reminds me of the guy in the restaurant corner playing background music. Danny was clearly better. Adam gets my vote – that’s singing AND entertaining!

To win idol you normally have to be awful like Jordin was last night or the mess Taylor Hicks or bored to tears Rubben, Carrie and Kelly were the flukes. Adam has an amazing voice. Adam is a superstar in the making right before our eyes! I hope he wins, but if he doesn’t he will still be a superstar. Nothing can stop him now. (As for those who gripe about his tongue–if you knew ANYTHING about singing–that’s the only way to get to those notes ONLY HE can produce–idiots!) I LOVE ADAM and will buy every CD he will ever produce. Kris is a nice guy, but hopefully, nice guys finish last!

We have been rooting for Adam and love his renditions of Tracks of my tears and Mad world. However if he continues to screech so theatrically at the finals Kris will definite win this season. People want to be moved by a soulful song and that’s what Kris gave us this week. Adam should just sing honestly minus the screaming otherwise he will push more fans to vote for Kris.

I would love to hear Adam sing Van Morrison’s Into the Mystic on final night. He would have people the world over crying buckets with emotion. He could pierce hearts with that song and using his supreme and unique vocals he could turn it into something beyond beautiful. Please please do INTO THE MYSTIC, ADAM

I could listen to Adam sing all day. He brings me to tears on his soulful songs and gets me standing and rocking on his “screaming” songs. I love his style and I have bought all his performances on Idol, and will buy his songs and future albums. Next week, I will vote for two hours straight for Adam.

Have loved Adam from the auditions – he’s electrifying as a singer and performer, and we desperately need a rock superstar who’s younger than 50! He will succeed no matter what happens next week due to his amazing talents.
Kris I see as a young and relevant “James Taylor” type of singer/songwriter/musician. He has his own audience too, and will also do well.
But the concept of people voting due to religious bias is shocking – everything that Barack Obama is trying to overcome.

For those of you who think Adam is too “screamy” for radio, you should check out the itunes downloads of his songs. He really tones down the screaming, and his wonderful vocal talent shines through. Just phenomenal. There should be no question about whether he can sell radio-friendly tunes–just listen to the singles.

Adam is the most talented and most likely to be a superstar. Even if he doesn’t win the title, he will be huge and far more successful than Kris. Not to be disrespectful to Kris–just being a realist. Both of them are able to hit notes and hold them for a long period, there’s not to many artists who can. we learned one thing for sure last night… Katy Perry is a terrible artist. With a completely corny stage presence and terrible singing, she made a joke out of herself last night.

Luckily for her she is smoking hot, so people will still buy her albums and see her in concert. She should just lip synch like Britney though, because really they are just dancing pinup girls who sell millions of albums because of their pretty faces and big boobs.

We all know by now that Adam can shatter chandeliers and we love it but on the finale he should rein that side in and just keep it beautifully simple and concentrate on connecting with people. If he can make the viewers cry through the deliverance of a song emoted with an honest intensity (and no vocal theatrics – as I’ve said we know he can go from 0 – 100 vocally already) then he will win. His obstacle now is to win over the conformists and the creatures of musical comfort who feel safe and happy with the safe and boring.He needs to show them that they can feel safe and happy with Adam Lambert. He deserves to win with the highest ever votes recorded in the history of Idol. He’s that good!

They definitely got it right last night. I really like Danny and I was rooting for him from the beginning, but Kris is very good as well. Adam is in a category by himself and I’m pretty sure he’s going to be an incredibly successful artist. I don’t think he’s going to win, though. I think that the margin is too narrow for Adam to hold onto his lead. I think more of Danny’s supporters will vote for Kris than will vote for Adam. Kris and Danny are both soulful singers with pleasant, melodic voices. Adam is a powerhouse vocalist with a tendency to scream a bit. Each has his place, but I think Kris has the edge in the voting.

There really is no point arguing who’s best. From a purely technical point of view, like him or not, Adam blows Kris out of the water. He’s a better singer and a better performer, more comfortable on the stage and more driven…no contest.

Frankly, I thought Allison was better than Danny and Kris. She’s a little Lita Ford in the making.

Actually the last 2 standing…in reality should have been, adam and allison, no offense to the others. But the others were just OK, could sing and that’s good….BUT THE ONES WHO WILL BE HUGE, IN MY JUDGEMENT ARE….ADAM AND ALLISON.Say what you will about Adam, but he pulled it off week after week, without missing a beat. I am really excited for the final two since rumors have it they havent gotten along in the idol mansion all season so seeing the two of them right for the prize will be a treat. Not to offend any of you Gokey-ites out there, but Kris Allen is a seriously talented individual. His arrangements are amazing and his vocals, though not always perfect (neither were Danny’s), are sweet and alluring — his musical abilities are undeniable. But with that aside, what I think really set Danny apart from Kris is Kris’s humility and his ability to deliver something different once in a while. Danny was the same week to week and one hell of a cocky mofo. It got old and really annoying.

Personally, I feel that Adam and Kris are better role models for America. But hey, this is a singing contest now… and based on that alone? I still think Adam and Kris are the “right” top 2 for American Idol.

While I agree Adam has startling vocal capabilities, Kris won my vote because this is after all American “IDOL”. I want my two kids “Idolizing” Kris over Adam any day. He’s humble and talented both vocally and instrumentally. And I think America knows it.

For everyone saying they can’t stand Adam because he screams, how do they respond to Steven Tyler, Axl Rose, or even Steve Perry? .. etc, etc. Kudos to Adam for being his own man without compromise. And great to see Kris make it to the finals.

I have always loved the song ONE by U2. However, its message of unconditional love, understanding and acceptance was never so clear to me as it was last Tuesday when I heard Adam Lamberts jaw-dropping, gut-wrenching version on AI. Adam makes me not only want to be a better person, but also to find ways I can inspire other people too.

Next week during the finale, I pray everyone listens with an open mind and open ears and votes for the most talented performer on that stage. If they do I am sure their vote, like mine will be for Adam Lambert!!!!!!

And to the person who recommended the studio versions, you’re right on. To people sensitive to “screaming”, those versions would be more palatable yet still jawdroppingly awesome. HE IS A TRUE ARTIST OF THE HIGHEST CALIBRE. He doesn’t just sing the notes right with a nice-sounding voice. HE INTERPRETS AND FORMS MEANING WITH EVERY SOUND AND WORD AND PAUSE AND PHRASING. For example, how he sings the word “NERVOUS” in “MAD WORLD”perfectly evokes the sense and feeling of “NERVOUS”. You don’t just hear a song to sing along to, YOU EXPERIENCE IT.

Kris is a good performer only when he performs with a guitar and goes folksie.

Adam is more versatile-a prerequisite for a good and marketable artist.

How many artists are there that sounds like Kris? There are tons.

Adam is unique in a way that he is bringing glam rock of the 80s back into our ears.

Adam has my vote for the top spot on AI. Artists fill concert halls. It takes an Idol to fill arenas. I think Adam has can do both.

There are oceans of divide between the talent of these two finalists.

Listening to the songs, I still say Kris has the better voice. If he had the vocal training Adam had, I believe his voice would hit the same range.

What people don’t realize is that Adam didn’t qualify to be a contestant in the first place – he is a professional theatrical performer who starred in major touring productions. He’s a pro and not an “unknown” singer. The producers knocked off Joanna Pacitti – Adam should’ve been knocked as well.

Unfortunately, I agree with some of the posts that Danny fans will give their vote to Kris, for whatever reason, but thats their choice. So even though Adam is the American Idol, he won’t win. Yes it upsets me no end but I know that all of Adams fans can’t wait for his firs CD, Video and/or concerts. So this was supposed to be the most talented group ever… so what happened? Are these two finalists actually marketable? Adam sounds great until he goes into his absurd upper range and spoils the act. He is a future Vega act at best. Kris has a great voice and style, but will he sell records? I think their “greatest pool of talent so far” is going to prove to be another ho-hum season results show.

Kris has a voice that just about anyone that can carry a tune and play some sort of instrument can. Nothing to shout about. About the only reason why he’s still on is because of his goodie-two-shoes boyish look.

Adam has vocal talent comparable to Freddie Mercury and I have never heard him sing a note of out tune, which is more than can be said for Kris.

I know this is a singing contest, but for the sake of the show, it is also important for the winner to have “Star Quality” so he can actually have hit records. Example: Taylor Hicks and Ruben Studdard had mounds of vocal talent. But both have foundered because thay lack star quality. Adam Lambert has star quality, no doubt. He also has that almost dangerous, something lurking beneath his outer person that could be “evil.” This is the kind of rock star quality that made Elvis, Mick Jagger, and others great. That’s why Adam gets my vote.

Kris will make a folk record, will sell a few hundred thousand copies then forgotten…think Katherine McPhee, Diana Degarmo and Blake Lewis.

Does Simon actually think that Americans are so stupid that we believe his little act as he pretends to support Adam while all along its Kris that Simon and AI plan to see win. I didn’t buy Kara’s, “Oh my God” act either. The truth is that Simon runs that show and the people are wasting their even voting when their vote doesn’t count. That was proven when Adam dropped to the bottom three and Allison lost in spite of the fact that Danny had a terrible performane

Not just anyone can get a voice like Adam has. Kris doesn’t have that kind of vocal ability.
And Joanna was off due to having a record contract. Adam doesn’t have that. Your points are not valid, and they are for the most part red neck.

What is Adam as a recording artist? Is he going to record Morrisey and The Cure? Is he recording classic glam rock? I have NO IDEA what he is a recording artist. His banshee scream became one-dimensional, and I am not sure what to expect from him. He might be the worst selling winner, if he does indeed win.

Now Kris, I know people think he is boring, but at least I can see glimmers of Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Jason Mraz or Dave Matthews when I see him sing. He is relevant and marketable, and there are successful artists out there in his ilk. He’s proven he can arrange a song, make it original and excel.

I guess I have a slight bias to Kris, but honestly, I don’t get Adam. At all. And it has nothing to do with his orientation, but everything to do with his style.

I can see him using AI as a springboard to Broadway leading roles, instead of touring cast understudies. But I still don’t know if he’d go platinum with a CD.

Although, I believe that Adam is more original, has better vocals and is a better entertainer, I believe that Kris will win. The week that Adam was almost voted off, I split my vote between Adam, Allison and Kris because I wanted to see them in the final three. Most people who like Adam, also, like Kriss when he is original. In contrast, people have been polarized between Danny and Adam. Adam’s getting the pimp spot, Katy Perry’s cape and Evis/Vegas reference and the judges’ praise is the perfect way to inflame those who were Gokey fans to vote for anyone other than Adam. With less than one million votes difference between Adam and Kris of a total of 88 million votes, the Danny votes will assuredly go to anyone other than Adam. Plus, America loves the under dog next door that has been treated unfairly. This will resonate with the many people who have called the show on Adam Lambert’s blatant promotion. Do you think it is any different than professional wrestling’s promoting the guy that is supposed to fall so people root for the underdog and everyone goes home feeling good because the guy they rooted for (the underdog like them)won? Ironically, Adam will probably do better in the number two spot because he will be able to make his own record right away. The question is, will Kris be able to survive a mediocre record made with AI?

I do want Adam to win but I’m glad his running mate for the final is Kris. I think they get on well and that the Kris fans aren’t as anti Adam as the Danny fans have been. Adam, Kris and Allison were the ones who just plain love music -and that’s what the show is about. I’ll be voting for Adam but I’m real glad that Kris is in the final. ONE LOVE

I am glad Dann7 was voted off. His Dream On was a travesty and most of his arrangements were boring even though his voice has had its good moments. He’s also arrogant/defensive, and unlike the statment in the article he has reminded viewers during EVERY episode of his wife’s death by making a heart sign with his fingers. Kris is a nice guy and nice singer. I wish him well. Adam is a rare talent – the only time I have ever truly looked forward to a show just to see what the singer will do. Adam without a doubt is the most talented contestant to hav ever appeared on idol. His rendition of “Mad World”, would go platinum within a month of its release. He is the only contender..the rest are pretenders.

I hope the producers realize that Adam was at a disadvantage this week because the show ran over schedule. My DVR cut out before they showed the numbers to vote for Adam. That should not be allowed to happen to any contestant.

Danny is a pretty good singer and I hope he lands somewhere great. He is just a part of the wrong era…80s, he would have had a viable career. These days people do not need to have talent…take Rihanna and Ciara for example. Just be pretty, (ahem Kris), and pretend like you are doing enough to sound like you are singing (ahem Kris). If you don’t believe me, go to your local coffee shop on acoustic night. You will likely find someone with the same level of, if not more, talent than various AI finalists (like Kris). If they are good looking, maybe they should try out for AI too.

Adam has an amazing voice. He puts feeling and power into everything he sings, he gives it his all. He has great stage presence. He is definitely Idol worthy, and I have no problem with either my son or daughter looking up to this young man who has worked hard for years to make his dreams come true!

I read these blogs and I wonder with all of the comments on how people don’t like to see Adam’s tongue when he sings…have you ever tried to sing without showing your tongue? In choir they teach us this method to help us belt out our chords and reach higher notes and it is really hard to do. I have never been able to do it so the first time I saw Adam Lambert do it I was amazed. Adam Lambert doesn’t always sing in his high register. He always delivers a great song, a great performance and he always really embraces the words to the songs he sings. He has shown so many different sides to music that he could sing anything he wanted. If you think he isn’t current or can’t do the current bubble gum pop songs you haven’t seen all of his videos on Youtube. Nor do you know that 7 out of the top 10 selling Itune songs belong to Adam Lambert. Kris Allen has 1 in the top ten. I like Kris Allen, he appears to be a nice kid but I’ve seen him in Arkansas and it was a really light weight type performance. We all left the performance because we weren’t that excited or entertained and he is really quiet and low energy. Danny Gokey fans will probably all rally for this kid because he is a Christian but he is probably the reason why Danny was voted off. I think Kris Allen will win AI because of it and I also think that due to the judges loving the talented Adam Lambert that it has cost Adam Lambert votes. Kris is an aliright singer but does not hold a candle to Adam Lmabert’s talent, there is no arguing that. Adam is by far the most talented singer any of these singing talent shows have discovered.ADAM has been so consistent in delivering truely phenomenal and entertaining performances on a level way beyond every1 on any of these shows.I just hope America votes sensibly because if ADAM LAMBERT does not WIN it would be Sacrilege!!!

I agree that people should stop bashing the singer that they don’t prefer. It is not Adam’s fault that the judges love him. It is not Kris’ fault that Danny got voted off. They have no control over that. I think they are both quite humble, in fact. Kris’ humility was easier to see since he has gotten more negative reviews from the judges. Adam is one of the most grounded, sweet people- just look at him in the San Diego interview with his mom. The other contestants all call him a sweetheart and he and Kris are good friends. He is a wonderful role model my children. Even if you don’t fit in- believe in yourself. Work hard at something you love. Be kind to other people.
I have never watched Idol before and don’t expect to watch again when Adam is not featured. It was by coincidence that I visited a friend and arrived at the very moment that Adam was singing “Mad World” on their tv. I was blown away. I went home and went straight to youtube to listen to him sing. Song after stunning song even before Idol. Brigadoon (breathtaking), Dust in the Wind, etc. Then I listened to the STUDIO versions of all of his Idol songs. There isn’t anyone in current popular music that can match his versatility and voice. What a variety of types of music and sounds!
Oh, and, sell records? His Idol studio versions have sold the most of any contestant. He has 6 of the top 10. HE IS ALREADY SELLING MILLIONS OF RECORDS! The studio versions are a little tamer, and they are the example of what he would do when he records a cd. Live performances are always more animated for the audience. So, maybe some won’t want to go to his concerts (I already have my tickets!) but as far as selling records? He will be a worldwide sensation.
Kris will also do well from this experience. Both of them will.

All of his guitar work sounds the same and it is quite clear that when you put the comparison like this…clean cut, good ole, soft spoken christian boy versus flamboyant, edgy, gay guy…you know how America is going to vote. Anyone who says that this contest is rigged and that Simon was faking his support for Adam is completely ignorant in my opinion. Let’s think about the winners over the past years… Taylor Hicks, Diana whatever her name was, Clay Aiken, Fantasia….I seriously doubt that Simon “rigged” these votes considering how terrible these individuals were and the better choices that continually were sent packing..(DAUGHTRY!! HELLO!!!) I have to say that last year might have been one of the only times I thought America “got it right”. If Kris wins…. it wasn’t rigged… America just got it wrong AGAIN. And also…this is not a role model contest.. and sadly I feel like it is a teen idol contest instead of an all around idol contest. Kris is cute and sweet and semi talented… but I can go to any night joint and hear a million Kris’s. I think Adam will loose to Kris and not because of a lack of singing ability but because of the fact he doesn’t conform to societal norms. People have been in an uproar ever since he started wearing guy liner and nail polish. No one will let his sexuality issue die. Whereas I don’t see guy liner or guys wearing nail polish as anything big, other alternative rockers, heavy metal, punk, rock and rollers have been sporting it for years; mainstream Americans are shocked. Gays and Bisexuals have been around and ridiculed, harrassed and even killed because of their lifestyle offending others for years/decades. I honestly believe that if Adam Lambert were to have said he was gay or bisexual he would have lost earlier on. Yes it is a singing competition and I personally think Adam Lambert can out sing Kris Allen by a landslide mile even with Kris Allen playing both the guitar and the piano. But this is now a popularity vote and too many folks will throw the vote to Kris Allen because he is the nice quiet guy next door who never makes waves, is easy to look at and doesn’t offend anyone by being different.

Adam and Kris are both great talents. I have for years thought that Kris was amazing, and when I first heard Adam on AI, I thought he was amazingly talented with his range, though I feel at times it is overdone in some performances. Clearing the air, people dogging Kris or Adam because of their own musical preference is ridiculous. You have the opportunity to vote, so do just that. People saying, “Kris voters… do your research”, or “vote for Adam because he is way more talented”, is dumb. If Kris wins, its because he deserves to, and had enough fans to vote him in the #1 spot (fans purchase albums, tickets, and merchandise… they also vote). He has not been overpromoted even once in the competition like Adam has(Simon’s plea for votes and katy’s cape), no one even knew Kris was on the show until he sang “Man in the Mirror” because there were no videos or stories on him. So, they competition is either fair or been promoted way harder for Adam to win. Though I vote diligently for my buddy Kris every week and I know he will be successful for years and years to come, not only for his looks but amazing vocals(full package), I wish both Adam and Kris the best of luck in the finale, their careers, and life. May the best person win.

I do believe danny should of been in the finals with Adam even though Im a huge Adam fan and hope he wins. Kris didnt deserve to be in the finale with Adam. He should of been sent home weeks ago but all the little kids with cell phones text for him over and over because he is good looking. You are entitled to your opinion just as I am mine. I have listened to both Adam’s and Kris’s studio versions. I am not saying that Adam is not an incredible singer. I just happen to like the tone of Kris’ voice. It’s just a matter of personal taste and style. Guess that’s the great thing about American Idol. We all get to have a vote.

Adam deserves to win. Period. But it is disappointing to see Kris in the finals with him. And it shouldn’t have been Gokey either. Adam and ALLISON were the two shining stars in this competition. Iraheta is going to sell a ton of records.

I just downloaded the two songs by Adam for this week, ONE and CRYIN’ – the studio versions. They are absolutely perfect. If you listen to all of the studio versions of his songs, it will be impossible to vote for anyone else. He is way less screechy and ONE will make you cry.

Kris Allen will be our next IDOL because all of Danny’s fans who are now used to voting every week will instead vote for Kris this time round. Because of this, Adam will be second runner-up.

I think the voters got it right..Adam and Kris were best on Tuesday..and honestly Kris was THE BEST with his incredible version of Kanye’s song. So bravo to both.

Adam will win,but Kris eventually will become “real” idol

Adam is no Steven Tyler. To me, he can’t hold a candle to the lead singers of the great rock bands I grew up listening to. And where is his diversity? Not everyone wants to hear screeches in EVERY single song.

AI should determine the ultimate winner by making 50% be based off of text/phone calls and 50% be based off of iTunes sales. That way, America can vote with their dollars also. Realistically, the ultimate winner will be the one who sells the most, not the one who can get the mosts texts anyway.

I really thought Danny has a large fan base which is solid voting block than Kris’. It really surprised me that Kris’ voting block overpowered that of Danny.
Danny’s fans always brag that we have no idea how big they are. So, I have presumed wrongly how strong Danny’s support is. Never thought Kris is bigger and has more support.
I guess Kris’ will win over Adam because Danny’s votes will go to Kris now since they’re both backed by religious group.

Kris will win. I do think Adam has a great voice, I just don’t like the screaming all the time. Some songs would have sounded a lot better if he had tonned it down. Kris has excelled tremendously this season and will win. Most people who are fans of Dani (:( sooo sad he left) will now vote for kris because the similar music style. did you know the name of this show is american idol: the search for a superstar? i like kris, i think he is a cutie, and a nice guy. and i am certain he will find his place in the market, but there is just NO comparison to adam. adam is a light, a star, a new DIMENSION in music. i sincerely did not know what music was till i listened to him. no one has ever moved me as much when he sings, he reaches into parts of my soul i didn’t know existed, when he perfomed one, and hit the high note, not only did i get goosebumps, but i burst into tears. and i still do, every time i watch him or hear this songs.

i haven’t dignified myself to call ticketmaster in 17 years to watch anyone-U2, madonna, not even michael jackson. yet at noon on may 9 i was ready to sign on and get front row seats to see adam in concert when the american idols tour this summer.

I’m sorry but adam is the only one who can rightfully carry the torch of american idol this year. he has worked towards this goal since he was ten years old. he may not be EVERYBODY’S style, and that is ok. like any other artist, there are many who will love his voice and buy his records and others who won’t. it’s the nature of the business. however, the GENERAL consensus, worldwide even, is that he is the best, and he deserves to win.

I have a couple of comments:
1. To those who think only teeny-boppers vote incessantly: you are making assumptions. I am in my 30’s, and when passionate about a performer; I vote a lot.
2. For those who think that Kris Allen was only kept on because of his cover of “Heartless”, I would suggest you think about the fact that each week, Kris and Adam have had to cover songs, and each week they BOTH do a good job. (i.e. Adam’s version of “One”, Kris’s version of “Ain’t No Sunshine”. These guys are no different than David Cook, or the many Idol contestants before them, that have tried to sing the songs in way that reveals they type of artist they are.
Last thing: Everyone is entitled to their opinions; and in the end, it really all comes down to a person’s preference of music.
For me, I will definitely see any production or show that Adam is in; as I think he is vocally amazing and definitely charismatic. But, I will buy Kris’s album, crank the radio when his songs come on, and buy a ticket to see him live. Because that’s just my style of music.

I’m pretty sure they would want to have a hand on Danny too. So win or not and Adam is still under contract with AI/19 Entertainment, it’s better for Adam to win it. It is time to finally have a real Rock Idol — Adam. I like Kris, but how much “art” did it take to copy The Fray’s cover of “Heartless”. I prefer Adam’s Ring of Fire, ToMT, Satisfaction, WLL and Mad World over anything Kris has done.

Danny’s fans will vote Kris, Kris will win. Adam is by far the most deserving, but it really doesn’t matter at this point if he wins or not. He is EVERYWHERE! Magazine covers, Ipod sales, ebay. Kris is great. He earned his spot in the finals with his two top-three performances. However, this is a SINGING competition and Adam is the better singer! He doesn’t scream; he hits really high notes that Kris can’t. I started watching AI because Adam was on it.

My friends from and living all around the world prefer Adam over Kris. If you’re in the U.S., vote for Adam for those of us who can’t!

kris is way talented musically and growing. he also has charm and heart and I have truly enjoyed his performances throughout the season. but a bigger star than adam? are you kidding? adam is a phenomenon. pure and simple. he is not screaming. it is called range. please note his tracks of tears and mad world performances which were mesmerizingly soft and hauntingly beautiful. if you don’t like his style or choices. that is cool. real artists are polarizing. you either love or hate them. but adam is the extraordinary, one of a kind talent that comes about with the frequency of Haley’s comet. love or hate him, give the guy the credit he serves. Smokey said it all…in all his years, no one had ever interpreted tracks of my tears the way Adam did. the man is simply gifted beyond belief and because his range is out of this world he can do things vocally with songs that no one else can do to reframe the experience and intensity of any verse. so to all the adam haters, vote for kris to your hearts content. it will not affect the legend that Adam Lambert is destined to become.

I am a bit perturbed by the abundance of comments challenging Adam’s vocal ability. I see nothing wrong with preferring Kris’ style of music to Adam’s. I happen to love Adam’s because I am a fan of Broadway & Progressive Metal, and he is a perfect mix for me.

However, to say he screams is just silliness. He has yet to hit an off-key note all year. “Screaming” implies that you just shout a word at the top of your lungs with no control of pitch or breath. Breath is an underrated skill – it determines a singer’s ability to carry out notes in succession. If you look at the last note in the live “Tracks of My Tears” and the long note in the live “Feelin’ Good,” you can see how incredible he is at controlling his lungs. This creates dynamics which most singers can’t even consider, much less dream of.

I am happy to see Kris in the finale. He was not a favorite of mine at the beginning – he has grown on me. I would have preferred to see Allison, but this is an interesting mix of talent. I found Danny to be too predictable. He has a great tone, but if you look carefully at his performances, most of them have been done in the same upbeat fashion with few exceptions. “You Are So Beautiful” is a good one, but it came too late. After Hollywood week, it is no longer acceptable to rely on a good voice. Song (and arrangement)choice and adaptation become just as important.

Adam should win. He is the more talented singer. And the look in his eye shows that he has big, big plans for his music career. Humble Kris doesn’t have the same confidence needed to be a star just yet. Kris needs to pull off another “Heartless” at the finale to succeed. It will be close no doubt, and will likely hinge on the Gokey fans. Do they stick with the more soulful singer, or punish him for taking Danny’s place by voting for Adam? Or do they just stay disenfranchised and not vote? It will be a fun show either way.

Don’t you love the way bigots sign their names as “anonymous.” What cowards these hate-filled people are. Both guys are talented. People either love or hate Adam, but I find it hard to comprehend that anyone can deny his vocal mastery. We’re watching a true legend in the making. I have been around for long enough to know that Adam will be the defining performer/artist of my lifetime. That said, it doesn’t mean he’ll win this competition. Teeny-boppers have cellphones and know how to use them. Either way, it’ll be a good showdown… and good luck to both of them.

I was on the edge of my seat last night watching AI. The voting public is so fickle that one never knows how or where the vote will swing (as was evident with Chris Daughtry). However, was pleasantly surprised that Kris was voted in and thrilled that Adam will be in the finals. I was getting bored listening to Danny. Although he did have a good voice his music was becoming predicable and he rarely put his own spin the pieces, preferring instead to mimic the songs’ originator.

As for Adam, well what can one say ~ he is a gifted singer, and great entertainer, and he brought color to AI. Each week I tuned in to watch what he was going to do next and I was never disappointed. I am over 60 and just love him. I believe he single handly revived this show. The fact that all the blogs are talking about him is a testament to that. Unfortunatley, since I live in Canada I can not vote ~ so, I will be watching with bated breath!

No kidding, Obsidian Eye. How is it that some of a music magazine’s readership is actually arguing that Kris has a comparable voice to Adam??

The bottom line is, whether you prefer one of these two performers stylistically or not, as far as vocal talent is concerned, Adam Lambert is most likely the best vocal talent the show has ever seen. I’ve been a musician in Los Angeles for 10 years, and attended the Musician’s Institute. I’ve never heard anyone comparable to Adam. Heck, this is the first time that I’ve watched Idol where it wasn’t a forced issue by my girlfriend, because I actually look forward to hearing Adam.

I guess the title American Idol rings true…we are treating them like idols …worshipping them to the point of getting hateful toward the other contender. So what if we have different opinions…they are both great singers and we’ve all been entertained by both finalists. And as a sidenote they are much better singers than any of the non-idol “artists” that performed each Wednesday night.

Adam..what can be said. A rare gift. His future is sealed with or without Idol, but given his incredible performances..he deserves the crown. The best entrance in AI over 8 seasons.
Kris..he has the tween love. He has the Paul McCartney baby face that hooked us baby boomers at 11 and 12 years of age. And he’s current. He has a fanbase and sure shot at radio right now.
He could win, and it would be okay. He’s every bit as competitive as Adam..they just embrace entirely different genres.

I cannot believe people are comparing Steve Tyler at his peak to Adam (a relative beginner). He has time on his side and all he needs is someone, like a Steve Tyler, to mentor him and grow him into the superstar that he can become. If you look at Kris, he could at best, be a James Taylor. But, I cannot say since I do not know of his songwriting ability. He may get lucky and score a Mrazzy, I’m Yours-ish hit, but I really doubt it. These days, people just do not buy records from people like Kris – they prefer bad rappers, half dressed women who talk through songs, and former boy banders. Mraz, Beyonce, Underwood, Kelly, and a few others are the exception, not the norm.

If Adam loses, at least he can return to his job as Jon’s wife on “Jon and Kate Plus 8″.

I have always loved the song ONE by U2. However, its message of unconditional love, understanding and acceptance was never so clear to me as it was last Tuesday when I heard Adam Lamberts jaw-dropping, gut-wrenching version on AI. Adam makes me not only want to be a better person, but also to find ways I can inspire other people too.

Next week during the finale, I pray everyone listens with an open mind and open ears and votes for the most talented performer on that stage. If they do I am sure their vote, like mine will be for Adam Lambert!!!!!!

American Idol is a popularity contest and there is no way Adam Lambert can win. Adam should, but won’t take the crown. Not to take away from Kris Allen, because is is extremely talented. He also seems like a very nice man.

I was so looking forward to his studio version of Heartless (I thought it was the best live performance of the night). Imagine my surprise when Lambert’s studio of One turned out to be better. I was shocked. It was so touching, I actually cried. Something is missing from Allen’s the recorded version. It’s a real shame.

I am an all out Adam fan , but Simon’s comments last night about Kris was downright insulting. He basically said he only made it to the final and beat Gokey because of his last song. Haven’t they been reading the polls? I guess not, I guess they just sit around their pools on their days off. Kris had been ahead of Danny for the last few weeks. Idiot judges- they couldn’t figure out that Kris had more mainstream appeal than Danny. I am not trying to put down Danny as he has a good voice, but I don’t think he has the musicality of Kris.

With that said, Adam didn’t do so well with that One number – I wished he had sung Wicked Game which was also thrown around as a possiblility that night.

I have been watching AI from the time it came on to now; how does people think that Adam is the best that has ever been on the show? He has two ranges and the high range is what will ultimately keep him on a “local” stage. Just because Simon choose Adam and has to stick with him, does not mean that he is automatically the winner.
Just sit back and listen to the voices (not the great stage band) and ask yourself who would get the most air-time on the Pop and adult stations…. yea it will be Kris. I will give Adam his due, in that he has a good career in front of him for covering classic and 80’s rock, but that is where his limits are. Nothing wrong with that, it is just the way it is.
Allison was the better “pure” rock singer and voice wise should have been in the finals over Adam.
Time will be the best judge and nothing will surprise me or the country anymore; I mean we did elect Obama so with that Adam has a good of chance as Kris.

Sadly, I know my voice isn’t going to be as powerful as that of the teens or the hateful prejudiced fanatics, but I’lll still cast it a couple of times next week, and my choice is Adam Lambert. They should really allow only one call per phone and that’s it. Then perhaps the best man for the job will win what he so deserves, just like a black man won the presidency in 2009. I believe that while there are many pathetic people in this country, the majority of America is honest and rewards hard work, intellect and talent.

Obviously Kris and Adam get along much better than some of their fans do. Their frienship and respect for each other are inspiring.

To be honest, Adam’s respect for music and musicians takes him to a level I haven’t seen on AI before. Achtung Baby is one of my favorites and when Bono sings “Did I disappoint you?” my heart aches. Then I listened to Adam’s studio version of ONE and my heart simply broke. He has the ability to touch some things maybe we wanted left undisturbed. The studio versions of all his renditions are amazing with Feeling Good almost surreally perfect. When asked to comment on his success in AI, Adam repeatedly says he is “honored.” Well, Adam, the pleasure is ours.

Adam, my husband has Stage IV lung cancer, don’t know how long he will be with us, but you need to know that your performances on AI have brought a new wonderful optimism and excitement to our lives. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. What a talented musician!! We look forward to all that you will contribute to our country, to the world. Bless you!!

See a lot of hate comments from this morning. Wow, how evil is that? After reading the hate stuff, think I will vote for Kris a million times. Reality is that maybe he IS the best all around talent.
Do people really think Adam would be proud of these hate comments? I don’t think so, Adam has a little more class than that………

I’m sorry to say this, but any Gokey fans still watching will most likely NOT vote for Adam in my opinion. Rabid Lambert fans and judges/media declaring Adam as the winner are likely to blame for this one. This could be a classic David and Goliath story–regular Joe/boy next door versus an unstoppable behemoth. Also, a million vote difference between the top two in the final 3 results show is quite small. All it would take is a few million disgruntled Gokey fans to vote for Kris for Kris to win this.

What I have noticed on American Idol is the current pop stars who perform are strangely robotic both in their performance and music. I am not sure what that means. Now there is Adam. The “streaker” reminded me about Elvis, Jagger and other singers whose music and performance awakens something primal and dangerous in the soul. Adam does this. Adam invites you to sin. Adam causes perfectly nice television anchors to “lose it” ad jump up and down like an idiot. I find it all very interesting.

Brian hit the nail on the head. It is ludicrous to say that Adam Lambert “screams” or “screeches” when he sings. Nothing could be further from the truth. I’m glad somebody finally addressed this. He is singing in perfect pitch and hitting notes that very few, and I mean very few singers are able to hit. The people that call this screeching are musically ignorant. In fact it is quite the opposite. It’s exhibiting total voice control on what should be an impossible note to hit. That’s what’s known as range in the music industry. Vocally, there can be little doubt that this guy has the best pipes this show has ever seen. (If you want an example of screeching, listen to Gokey’s last note on the Aerosmith song he did the week before. That is what screeching is! Adam never, and I mean never sounded like that!) On pure ability, Adam should win hands down. That being said, Kris has a totally different style and a lot of people prefer that style of music. So it wouldn’t surprise me if he wins the competition. And that’s fine. He’s a good performer with talent. But to say he will win because he has the better voice and is a better singer is, quite simply, ridiculous.

I can honestly say that I feel sorry for Danny Gokey. How embarrassing it must be for him to have a fan base like he has. Every website that I view I am guaranteed to find rude and obnoxious comments left from Danny fans about other contestants that have nothing to do with a singing competition. All I can say is poor Danny … his fans have branded ‘Danny the entertainer’ with a snob nosed (better than thou) reputation. You are who you hang with, right? His fans sent him home, not because they didn’t vote but because of their (better than thou) behavior that disgusted and discouraged other would be fans from jumping on the Gokey train. I have no doubt he appreciates their votes, but at what cost and embarrassment? His fans single handedly sent him home. What a sad realization for Danny to face now that he goes home and has time to read the nasty’s of his fans, I am sure though being the Christian that he is, that he will and he has asked God to forgive the behavior of his unruly fans.

This is the first season that I’ve downloaded songs by an Idol contestant (or watched the show, or voted) and I have 9 so far, all Adam Lambert’s. To me he is the winner already.

I am with you Bea. This season is the first time I too have downloaded any of the AI contestants songs or videos. I have purchased every performance video and every studio recording of Adams peformances this season. He is so amazing it will be sad to see the show end, but I look forward to many years of great music, and entertainment from this truly amazing man.

I am a huge Adam fan and would love to see him win. Unfortunately I’m afraid it might not happen… there is no way that Danny’s fans are going to vote for Adam… they will put their votes on Kris. While I have nothing negative to say about Kris, sadly he does not stand out from any other singer out there. Adam…. is destined to be a megastar. Truth be told it would be better for Adam’s career not to win… I guarantee all the major record labels are crossing their fingers that he loses so they can sign him up. I have never downloaded a song from itunes in all of my 8 years of watching AI, but like so many other Adam fans – I have now!

For once America got it right – it’s a singing contest, yes, but this year Idol is lucky to have singers who are also artists. If you go back and look at the performances of both Kris and Adam, they consistently craft their own musical statement, in addition to great singing. Other contestants could sing, including Danny and Allison (wow! can she sing!), but none of the others consistently put their own mark on each song.

I love them both, for the very distinct sound and gift they bring. I have downloaded both Adama and Kris’s performances and listen to both. We’ll be lucky whoever wins, because we’ll have two new, interesting and fresh artists to enjoy when their albums come out!

I am a devout Adam fan and have been all season. I think he’s the best singer, performer, and all-around great person to have ever been on Idol; however, I don’t think that Adam would appreciate so many being hateful towards Kris, and even Danny.
Adam is such a humble person and always acts with such class. He is never rude or mean to any of the other contestants, and as far as I can tell, he and Kris seem to get along very well.
Just because Adam and Kris are competitors doesn’t mean that they hate each other, so their fans shouldn’t hate each other either. It will only make others mad and (probably) result in less votes.
So, Adam fans, stay classy (like Adam) and don’t bash Kris…just VOTE!

Lambo and Allen: a comedy duo

Kris has a talent alright, all of them have that’s why they are contestants. Kris’ musical instruments knowhow is just about the advantage that I see he has over Adam, the ability to re-arrange a song (putting his own spin)to it, is something that Adam has been doing. As far as looks is concerned, Adam, in my opinion is more attractive with his flambouyant, mysterious appeal. They can both sing, no doubt, but Kris doesn’t have the range and pipes that Adam have. It hurts me seeing Kris’ face whenever he tries to hit a high note, whereas Adam makes it so energetically smooth. Touching the singing variety and capabilities, Adam can sing almost anything, be it rock, pop, r&b and ballad, whereas Kris does not fit into Adam’s rock boots. And as far as confidence and stage presence are concerned, Adam commands them. In summary, Adam is a star, and a performer that America will be proud of if sent to compete for a World Idol competition if any.

Glamberts should rally to get more votes for Adam as Danny’s fans might turn to Kris as their second choice. Kris admits during his hometown visit that he is an Adam fan and he’s ok to be no.2.

I can’t believe so many people watch this show. Adam definatly stands out more than Kris from what I’ve seen, but I’m so sick of hearing all these dumb-ass people saying how Adam is going to be a “rockstar”, really he’s just some guy with a decent voice who will BUTCHER Robert Plant and Steven Tyler’s vocals who got sick of no one caring about him and his douchebag-y attempt at rock “style” and decided to go on American Idol, where he would become nothing but that one guy from American Idol only noticed by teen girls. Love the Katy Perry endorsement and the numerous magazines this month with the Elivis-like Idol on the cover. I’ve seen bloggers from New Zealand, Philippines, and Canada who cheer for Adam. Itunes released a couple weeks ago that Adam had 6 songs in their top 10 and Kris had 3. I agree with an Adam versus Kris final. Adam resembles Elvis in personality, appearance, and performance. Adam blows my mind like no one has ever done before. There has never been anyone as good as him on AI before. He deserves the win!

First off, I think it’s going to be an electrifying finale with two immensely deserving finalists.

Second, I’m not going to make any predictions because the votes could teeter in either direction based on a host of factors, not the least of which will be Adam and Kris’s song quality and selection at the Kodak theater.

Third, for the record, I have been a diehard Adam fan since Satisfaction. What is amazing about this guy, is

HE HAS NEVER ONCE HAD A SINGLE DUD PERFORMANCE!

The only purely negative comment he ever received from the judges was when Simon lashed out against Ring of Fire, calling it “indulgent rubbish”. Ironically, this may very well have been the song that catapulted Adam to stardom.

Here is my tribute to the topic.
I have a suggestion, close your eyes completely,put on the earphones and listen to the best song you like from Kris and the worst song Adam sang. There would still be no comparison. Adam is just so great that I do not know how to describe it. We were at our local pub the other night listening to a one man band singing Kings of Leon-Sex on Fire and I realized that his abilities are way better than Kris’s and how many tons of Krises there is out there.
So boys and girls, rewind your American Idol records, listen to them again and come here to tell me that there is anyone better than Adam.

What about the National Anthem, he does the most beautiful rendition I have ever heard and believe me I have heard it alot, I am 51 years old.

This season’s finale will set a voting record with well well well over 100 million votes. Oh, and of course 99.9% going to the only real winner, ADAM.

I do like Kris and think he was good on Tuesday, however Adam has been so consitantly amazing all season…I have to give my vote to Adam since this is about singing.

At first loved Adam and thought he should fo all the way and win, but week after week Kris kept surprising me with his artistry, originality and definite identity.
Adam is like sugar, you like it at the beggining but when you have too much you get sick……

So, here is my most honest opinion.
Ive watched Idol every year and I truely believe this year had the most talented contestants! I am more than sure we will be hearing some tunes from Allison. However, Danny as much as he has the like ability factor and a great bluesy sound to his voice may struggle to find his market. I cant picture what album he will cut infact he may need to do a crossover to country. Kris on the other hand is current and artistic… He is a Musician… Not just a voice… He is very talented and can sit down with a Guitar, Piano, and write us all a great song to enjoy. Im definately a Fan! Now on to Adam, He is definately talented with a great stage performance and has an amazing range. But I picture Adam on Broadway singing and dancing and expressing his love for the arts. Kris and Adam are in two different catagories. Talented in different ways, you cant compare the two. Next week will be an exciting Nail Biter.

Adam is BY FAR the most talented dynamic contestant in the shows 8 year history. It would be a crime if he were to lost.

I think people should vote based on whose CD they would most likely buy & who they think they will listen to the most after Idol. For me that person is KRIS. Adam has greater ‘chops’ but and a larger range, but that means nothing if I prefer Kris’ sofer/calmer voice & Kris’ style. For people saying to Kris’ fans that “This is a singing competition!!” I respond: It is about the music overall (not just the vocal potential). I am voting for the person who I want to listen to the most.

I am sooooo happy it is a KRADAM final. And I would be thrilled if Adam won even though I am rooting for Kris. I love watching Adam perform. I love his slower songs. His voice is a bit too dramatic/theatrical for me (even on his slower songs, eg. Mad World) & isn’t a “calm” voice. But I still love listening to some of his songs.

It is really funny that the room-mates are in the finales together! They seem to get on really well together, and they are both such nice & humble guys.

I really admired Adam the other night when he praised Kris and Danny’s performances after the judges rained Adam-love on his own performance, and said “I am honored to share this stage with them”. Aaawwwwww… what’s not to love about Adam (as a person)?

I predicted that they would be smiling in the picture this week! I love ADAM. He is the best but Kris is a sweetie also – I am so happy that they are the ones in the finale! They are very close and you can tell that they genuinely care about each other – the way they hug each other. They have been through this together and I can see the joy there! Very pleased!!! Adam is BY FAR the better singer! He will have my 2 hours of voting! If you haters just would take the time to listen to his studio versions, you would hear how amazing he is! Kris does have a voice at times, but most of the time its to boring to listen to. He can make a cd for Kindergarden kids and it would be a hit. He shouldn’t of made it this far.

Kris & Adam will make a fantastic final because they are both so different from each other and soooo creative/interesting. We never know what to expect from them.

There are a lot of KRADAM fans out there who honestly don’t know who to vote for next week. There are lots of us would be thrilled if either of them won. I early on rooted for Adam, but he got a bit predictable/shouty and Kris started getting really interesting, so I changed to being a Kris fan. I have downloaded all Kris’ songs and all Adams’ songs, and I listen to both contestants frequently but personally prefer Kris’ music over Adams. I love them both. They are both such nice & talented guys. Who wins Idol this year will depend on whose style is most preferred. It won’t depend on who is “better” because there is no way to compare Kris & Adam, they are completely different.

Danny fans please don’t hate on Kris. You don’t like his voice or his style, fine. I don’t like Danny’s voice or style either but I have never hated on him or voted against him ‘just because’. I will only ever vote for the contestant that I would most want to buy and listen to out of the remaining contestants.

Danny fans – if you are now voting for Adam because you prefer his music over Kris’ music & you would buy Adam’s CD over Kris’ CD then FINE. If you are voting for your favorite, GOOD. That is what I want. I am a Kris fan but I LOVE Adam too and I don’t care who wins, so long as people are voting for the right reasons and not out of Kris hate (which Kris does not deserve).

Kris Allen winning a SINGING COMPETITION would be a joke. Adam Lambert is one of the best vocalists to ever grace the AI stage. Kris has a pleasant voice but he has no range. None. He’s also shown very little versatility from week to week. He switches up instruments from time-to-time but that’s about it. His mode is permanently set to mellow. “Heartless” didn’t impress me at all. There are guys doing performances like that all over YouTube.

In conclusion: Lambert for the win! He’s the most deserving of the title.

I’m from Malaysia and a fanatic fan of Adam. Count me in to vote from him from this shores. I intend to rally on the huge fan base that Adam has in Malaysia and vote for him next week. Alright, now I feel stupid… I just posted this same comment! Lol! That’s what I get for posting before I read the entire board…

Am I one of the few who is ecstatic that BOTH Adam and Kris made it to the final? (Besides themselves?) I have been a fan of BOTH Adam and Kris since Day 1 and I think they are awesome.

I’m surprised by all the anti-Adam and anti-Kris sentiments. I think the contestants themselves will be surprised, being good friends (I think they were room-mates as well at some points).

In my opinion, America got it right. Adam is the flamboyant edgy and theatrical star, and Kris is the laid-back, humble artist. The question is, which does America want.

In terms of talent? Well, I must say Adam has the greater range and power, and uses it effortlessly. Kris is the mellow guy who has a good range, but not much power.

In terms of appeal and music? Here is where I think Adam loses out to Kris. Adam is the kind of guy who when he’s good, he’s more than brilliant, but when he’s bad, he makes me cringe. I have loved some of his performances, and thought, “No doubt about it, this guy’s a star and he’ll be world-famous,” but on some songs, I feel that it’s a bit too indulgent and I don’t like the arrangement of the song. But that’s just me. Kris, on the other hand, does not hit such highs, but neither does he hit that low in my opinion either. He’s very easy to listen too. As memorable as Adam? Maybe not (although I can’t keep his version of ‘Heartless out of my head’).

Who’s more ready to be American Idol? I’d say Adam, because he’s obviously more in tune with the music than Kris. Plus he’s got the charisma, power, star-quality and X-factor that Kris lacks. Kris is very humble and quiet, almost wall-flower-like, and can easily lose appeal if he doesn’t find his niche. But Kris is easy to like, and if you’re looking for a record that you’ll always like, you can’t go wrong with Kris, who is undoubtedly the Dark Horse in this competition (he received less publicity than Adam).

I don’t know who I’d vote for in the finals, but we’ll just have to wait and see. I’m just glad that my favorite two AI contestants this season has made it to the top (like I predicted), just like the rest of my family is (our ages range from 14-51, so you can eliminate the idea that these two only have tween and teen girl appeal).

And I’m not a tween, if you’re asking me.

And Jill, if you’re living overseas in Malaysia, you can’t vote for Adam. Sorry, but only those living in the States can vote. (Incidentally, my mom is Malaysian. How nice!)

Kris will make an album just like Diana Degarmo and Justin Guarini. I would compare Kris to Jason Castro from last years American Idol. Where is Jason now by the way?

I think Adam is more marketable, more likeable. He has a broader audience than Kris. Come to think of it, people buying Kris album would be 10-12 year olds and the people from Arkansas. Adam has a mass appeal and more of an artist that is different from the popular genres these days.

Kris sounds like a lot of singers you can find in bars and cafes but I dont think he is versatile/strong personality enough like Adam.

He does high notes a lot, but when he tones it down, it is OMG good. Tracks of My Tears is one of my favorites and ONE is my all time favorite. Go Adam!

At this point, I’m going to jump on the bandwagon and go for Lambert. He is the idol, even if he uses guyliner and uses his tongue like a crazy person when he sings. Kris Allen is cool, tho and deserves a record.

I’m 67+ and have always considered myself a “rocker chick”. I have always voted on idol for the rockers, Bice, Daughtry and Cook. Not until this year have I absolutely committed to voting for the entire 2 full hours. Adam is for me the best of the best. I can’t stand it that the season is almost over and I will have to rely on replaying my tapes to hear him sing. I will wait in line to buy his CD. Not so for the others this season. Good talent in the final 5…you bet! However my heart and votes belong to Adam. I don’t even want to hear another person bring up his sexuality…it gets me sick that people would let that be the reason or non-reason that they withhold their votes for him. GO ADAM!

He always thanks the people who have helped him ie, the musicians. Adam has been THE reason to watch American Idol this season! its rather funny to see this debate going on . Adam is flamboyant and very theatrical. has a good voice but way over the top. his squealing and screaming are a big turn off. i love the hair bands, aerosmith, queen etc etc. but people trying to cascade him into these realms are very entertaining. the fan base for him is going to be a small one when the show ends. rock will never be in the mainstream like it used to be. Kris will and deserves to win this competition. he will find the most success when he leaves this show because of how vesatile, original and great his abilities are. he will reach a wide range of people from all races, ages and backgrounds. he has a selling power about him that will continue to grow as time goes on. Kris will gather most of the Gokey vote and likely turn this into a landslide win much to most peoples amazement. the general viewers who havent watched the show most of the year will be drawn to Kris. great run in the end Adam but the better artist/singer will win the end, Kris Allen.

I could listen to his music ALL DAY, and I do! I had never before bought anything from iTunes until Adam came along. I have since downloaded ALL of his songs and several videos. I have also NEVER voted for an American Idol contestant until this season. So Adam is truly one of the best things to happen to AI because he is attracting people who normally don’t watch the show.

ALL of my time and energy on Tuesday night will be spent voting my heart out for Adam!!!

I love Adam. Kris actually got my attention for the first time with his version of Heartless; however, too little too late. He’s cute & everything, but not sure that I’d pay $ to see him. Now Adam, that’s another matter.

I am always listening to his music off itunes and find my early jog in the morning fantastic because I can be plugged into his music. Holy Crap. Adam lambert is amazing. I sung in highschool, so I have a deep appreciation for those that are classically trained. He is amazing, and I love his theatrical stage prescence and sexy look. He can bring back old school rock with his perfect contralto voice. I’m 19, but I love oldschool music and I have never been so excited about an american idol contestant.

Vote For Adam the whole two hours. Buy a temporary go phone if you must and text constantly! The phone lines will probably get busy, and I bet it will be easier to send hundreds of votes through text!

He’s insanely sexy and charismatic when the music starts, sweet and humble when it stops. He employs an upper register with no apparent ceiling. And he has Elvis’ once-in-a-century gift for implying a good-humored wink even while blowing an audience away.

Kris is pleasant ..and sometimes I just want to listen to some easy smooth pleasant music…I don’t desire or require rocking edgy music all the time. Would I go see him in concert ? probably not because I doubt it. I would want a little more bang for my buck than I think he would deliver. Would I buy his cd ? maybe – again, it depends on what kind of music he makes.
As far as the studio recordings so far, I’ve bought several of both of them…but not all.
Again – it all depends on the music they make and if it appeals to me.

Root for Adam all the way! Kris is a great singer and will have a good career but vocally Adam rocks. I don’t care who the hell wins American Idol; both will have amazing careers.

I have to say, I am a 46 year old woman. I don’t have many regrets in my life, save on. I have never met Adam Lambert. This young man has given me such feelings. He has made me question the way I think, feel, look, at everything! I can’t stop thinking about him and how truly amazing he is. His kind heart, his incredible talent, his willingness to put himself “out there” for all of us to see is so inspiring. I can’t help but feel love for Adam. I am from New Zealand and love both.I have only one question: What is the so called operation ding dong? I only heard it shows people how to vote, to get the most votes for Kris. Some sort of Cheating? Please enlighten me.

Ok, for the people who say Kris is is popular: are you kidding me? Ha… before a few weeks ago, hardly anyone knew his name. If you want to talk about popularity, look at Adam. Besides, in my opinion, you can’t compare Kris or Adam. That’s like comparing Greenday and Rascal Flats. You can’t because they’re just so different. Greenday is punk/rock and Rascal Flats is country. The opinions will always be to biased.

From Canada, Adam has inspired me in the way that he lives and the kindness he shows to others on the show…like he said in the Post Interview, it’s challenging to be yourself in front of America…way to go Adam…definitely one of the best voices I’ve heard–ever. And these are only current artists who popped into my head right away. These are all people who are being played on the radio right now. I’m not counting bands from the 80’s and 90’s that glammed out and weren’t suspected for being gay because of their style.

It is an insult to our intelligence; but then again you know a lot of people assume he is for those very reasons.

I think the real reason it is generally assumed that he is gay (internet photos aside) is because he is “too good to be true”. He is gorgeous, has an amazing sense of style when it comes to the full package – hair, makeup, clothing. Pile on top of that that he is talented; he can write and play music, he could out-sing the devil, and he’s coordinated to pull all his act together with blood-pumping dance moves. We can’t even pick on his personality, we can’t call him self centered or conceited or even stupid because, unfortunately for those who are insecure and want to hate something about Adam, he’s NOT. He’s never fumbled an interview. He’s never been caught only thinking of himself. I mean, the other night, Ryan asked him a question and gave him a chance to talk about himself and instead of doing so like, oh, Danny would have, he just compliments everyone else on the show! Even the fact that he IS so comfortable with himself and his own sexuality that he doesn’t have to deny anything, he just doesn’t talk about it. He’s smarter than that to get caught up in that tabloid web! He is more comfortable with himself and whatever his orientation is than most of the rest of America, and it shows, and it threatens ignorant people

Adam is amazing. The other guy is ok. Easy choice.

Hope Kris fans vote for him, and Adam fans vote for him. Hope neither of them get hate votes (from the Kris haters, Adam haters, etc etc). They deserve better than that.

people, stop saying kris doesnt deserve to be in the finale. clearly he earned his spot there. he has an amazing voice, and its not just his looks.
and how the heck is adam versatile?! when they got to pick their own song adam picked an aerosmith song, something we all know he could do because its rock and thats his main genre.
kris however did heartless, a rap song. and clearly he isnt rap. but he made it his own and did AMAZING on it. that is true artistry right there, i dont care what anyone says.
kris varies with the songs he choses, and makes them his own. adam stays in his genre.
and how can he sing? he sreams. i could get up there and do that.

Hi there! I’m a mother and a devout Christian, too! As viewer, I recognize that American Idol is a singing talent contest open to all, regardless of gender or religion. It is not supposed to be a popularity contest for a certain class of persons. Among all of Season 8’s contenders, Adam Lambert is the amazing artist and the best singer, gifted with a powerful voice. America’s vote for Kris, or its vote against Adam, seems to be a contemptuous hate vote against that portion of America that Adam stands for. ADAM LAMBERT DESERVED TO WIN. Even Kris Allen himself knows this in his Christian heart: that is why, as soon as he was unexpectedly handed the undeserved crown, he admitted in open public that “Adam deserves this…” — instinctively repudiating the ridiculous vote results that were surely no act of God and faithfully adhering to what he knows is glaring truth. Adam Lambert is the true winner!

Well, by now we all know that ADAM is the “runner-up” on AI. That aside, I feel that this is the first AI season where there should have been a TIE……..each contestant WAS a WINNER. Unfortunately, there is only ONE title & KRIS got it. But, in MY BOOK there were two WINNERS this season!!!!!
