This Sunday, we honor the one woman in this world who has to love you, no matter how ugly you are: Mom. It’s the one day out of the year when mothers get their proper due, and in the rock world, that’s no different. There are a ton of working moms in rock who juggle their studio and stage duties with all the joys of motherhood, and for these women who rock, we salute you.

Here are just a few of our favorite moms with their kids. Who makes the cut when it comes to our favorite rock & roll moms? Well, there’s Gwen, Madonna, Björk and Patti Smith, whose son just got betrothed to Meg White. There’s new moms, like Ashlee Simpson, and some not-so-new moms… you’ll know who they are.
