Tour Tracker: Kylie Minogue and Steve Earle

5/6/09, 5:36 pm EST

Kyle Minogue announced her first-ever U.S. tour today. The Aussie pop star will hit only five U.S. cities (and one Canadian market, Toronto) this fall, but promoter Bill Silva is hopeful there’s more to come: “We are confident in the tour’s success, and hope that Kylie will make this the first of many tours to our shores,” he said in a press release. Steve Earle has also mapped out a summer trek that kicks off later this month in support of his latest album, a collection of Townes Van Zandt songs titled Townes, which features special appearances by Tom Morello, Allison Moorer, and his son, Justin Townes Earle. the New York tickets are extremely expensive

for about the same price that you can see Kylie, you can see the Dalai Lama

I really don’t care if Kylie is expensive or not! She’s an amazing performer and i’ll see her live at the Hollywood Bowl which is for me like a dream come true! Another thing…Kylie’s tour is now 7 dates or more, I guess…this site is not updated!!

Kylie’s concerts will be much better than Britney or Madonna’s current tours!

Madonna was awesome in 80s, and Britney in early 00s. I missed both these boats lol..

Kylie come to ATLANTA! Just “normalize” your prices and you will sell out ANYWHERE!

Carlitos | 8/6/2009, 8:35 pm EST

I’ve been in every Madonna’s concert since The Girlie Show. I’ve seen on DVD ALL of them; I’ve seen most of Kylies. Yes Kylie is awsome but you can never compare kylie W/ Madonna, is like comparing caviar W/ pepperoni, Kylie does not deserve that. Madonna will be Madonna forever. there will B others “britneys kylies etc. And someone can do something else good but when you do it for the firt time EVER on eatrh (Madonna) then you will be like she is the only one, the unique, the exclusive MADONNA.

The KylieX tour was good but the best ever has to be the original Showgirl Tour in London….Stunning. Kylie is the ultimate showgirl. To Carlitos comment there will be other Kylies…the girl has been around as long as Madonna and is her only serious rival. Where Madonna has to hard sell sex, Kylie does it in a more subtle and effective way. The girl is going nowhere
