Oasis’ Noel Gallagher Rocks in a Shower for (Red)Wire

If you want Oasis’ Noel Gallagher to rock in a bathroom, evidently all you have to do is ask nicely. The singer-guitarist performed a version of the band’s “Waiting for the Rapture” (see partial clip, above) in the loo at New York’s Madison Square Garden for (Red)Wire, the download service aligned with Bono’s (Product)Red campaign, which raises money for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. (Red)Wire, which went live in December 2008, delivers subscribers one weekly download for $5 per month. This week’s issue includes the Oasis tune plus Metric’s “Gimme Sympathy” from their new album Fantasies.

What’s-his-name Gallagher is like Axl Rose: once on top of the world, but now bitter and outdated, courtesy of his own self. He picks on every band that has success, The Rolling Stones, U2, Coldplay, Kings of Leon, etc. Basically he should just shut up and face the fact that he ruined his band. Oh I’m sorry, that’s Liam. Noel has issues too, but Liam is definitely the bigger jerk.

They rock turds in bathrooms. They are one of the most overrated bands in history.

It just proves how bull$hit media can make anyone a star. The truth comes later. They have not made a decent album since 1995.

well of course, the gallaphers are jerks and have large egos. but it doesnt mean that they arent fucking great. they’re not the beatles but they are a great rock act. their latest album , dig your soul out, is definitly not a washup and whoever thinks they are crap, are paying more attention to tabloid shit than their actual music. great aucustics for a bathroom by the way
