- Pearl Jam will allow 16 of their songs to soundtrack the two-part season finale of the CBS drama Cold Case, NME reports. The episodes will air May 3rd and May 10th, and will reportedly draw heavily from the Ten reissue.
- MGMT are working on their second album at a studio in upstate New York, the band told the Triple J show. “Some of the songs are definitely a little more introspective and then there’s definitely some more surfy, beachy stuff going on,” the duo’s Ben Goldwasser said. “It’s going more in a rock direction.”
- Snoop Dogg took the stand yesterday in a Santa Monica court to testify that he did not attack a concertgoer during a Seattle show in 2005. Richard Munroe Jr. charges Snoop and his entourage brutally beat him after he jumped onstage during “Gin and Juice,” the AP reports. “The best way for the injuries not to have occurred [was] for him to stay in his seat and enjoy the show like the rest of the fans,” Snoop said.
- Busta Rhymes, the GZA and the Knux were added to this year’s Rock the Bells lineup, AllHipHop reports. As previously announced, Nas, Common, Big Boi, the Roots, Raekwon, RZA and more will perform at the roving festival.
