Last week Green Day announced the dates for their massive summer tour supporting May 15th’s 21st Century Breakdown, and now the band has confirmed the venues they’ll be hitting on their 38-date journey across the U.S. and Canada. As Rock Daily reported, the band will be playing indoor arenas rather than amphitheatres. The trek starts July 3rd at Seattle’s Key Arena and ends August 25th at Los Angeles’ Forum. Green Day have not booked any festival dates.

Keep an eye out for Rolling Stone’s review of 21st Century Breakdown in our new issue, hitting newsstands tomorrow and get a sense of what the new Green Day live experience might look like in David Fricke’s report from one of the band’s Bay Area warm-up gigs, where they debuted the full punk opera with their six-piece band — Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tre Cool with guitarist Jason White, keyboardist Jason Freese and guitarist Jeff Matika (see photos from the gig here). Check out all the band’s tour dates (with venues) after the jump.

Looks like Green Day will be one of the last acts at Philly’s Spectrum before it’s knocked down. Should be a great show.

come to australia it would be so awsome!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Anonymous | 5/1/2009, 9:08 pm EST

Know your enemy is a complete ripoff of Stone Roses – I am the resurrection. Go search for that on youtube. Green Day should be sued and not allowed to release their “new” album. This isn’t the first time they ripped off a song, Boulevard of Broken Dreams = Wonderwall (Oasis).

guyliner…XD! I hope my parents will drive me to san antone for a show. they’re my fave! none of my friends get their lyrics…too complex for most adolescent minds…Green Day rox!

Dante | 5/2/2009, 12:50 am EST

Green Day shouldn’t be “too complex” for anyone, not even “adolescent minds.” Which you obviously are above.

Good luck getting that ride from your parents though.

other aussie girl | 5/2/2009, 4:21 am EST

Somebody | 5/2/2009, 1:56 pm EST

Can’t wait to see them! I also can’t wait to buy their new album.

@Anonymous | 5/1/2009, 9:08 pm | 5/3/2009, 6:27 pm EST

Just listened to the song and I’d have to say you are wrong. The drum opening does sound similar, but that’s it.

You are wrong about the Oasis comparison too. I know that Liam, or Noel… whichever is the stupid angry brother said that, but I don’t hear it. He was just trying to get publicity for his dying band that only had one good album.

PLEAS COME 2 SOUTH-AFRICA! I LOVE GREEN DAY THEY R THE BEST EVER! I HAVE TO SEE THEM!

Shawna | 6/7/2009, 3:31 am EST

I get to see them July 3rd at Key Arena in Seattle! I can’t wait!

trolley | 7/9/2009, 6:13 pm EST

I took a listen to that Stone Roses song and i have to say that you are truly mistaken if you think that “Do you know the enemy” was based on “I am the resurrection”… Apart from having a similar drum beat to open the song there are absolutely no other similarities to them…

Not sure what your problem is with Greenday but you should really try to think before you speak…People May prove you wrong…

Fan | 9/30/2009, 7:21 pm EST

Why do’t they come to Puerto Rico, they have thousands of fans here. Yet, the Jonas Brothers (I don’t like then!) have come here twice in the same year.
