  • Coldplay and Duffy lead this year’s slate of Ivor Novello nominees, racking up three nods apiece for the Best Song, Best Selling Song and Most Performed Work categories. The Mercury Prize-winning Elbow and the Ting Tings also received a pair of nominations, Yahoo! reports. M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes” was nominated in the Best Selling British Song category, even though the song originally appeared on 2007’s Kala.

  • 100 Beyoncé look-alikes performed the “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” dance in London’s Piccadilly Circus to celebrate the announcement of Sasha Fierce’s concert at the O2 Arena in November. Watch the performance by the doppelgangers at the London Paper Website.
  • Dave Grohl and his wife, Jordyn, have announced the birth of their second daughter. Harper Willow Grohl is named after Dave’s great uncle Harper Bonebrake, and clocked in at “7 lbs 8 oz, 20 inches long and loud as hell,” according to a statement from the Foo Fighter.
  • Kanye West, Nine Inch Nails, Coldplay, Oasis and Lil Wayne have been recruited for 2009’s Roskilde Festival, hitting Denmark July 2-5th. According to Billboard.com, the longest-running outdoor festival will also feature the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Lily Allen, Slipknot, the Mars Volta and many more.
